Favourite Italian spot on Lygon! Hands down the softest and creamiest Gnocchi you'll ever have. It melts in your mouth and the sauce tastes like how my nonna would make it. Highly recommend this place (bonus points for the friendly waitress as well!)

Chanced upon this wonderful resturant along lygon street due to melbourne money and was extremely impressed with the food. We were greetef by friendly staff and escorted to a table. Ordered the garlic bread with cheese. Delicious. However, the homemade gnocchi is definitely the highlight. Ordered the sorrentina which came in sizzling hot plate. Delicious! Also ordered the squid ink spaghetti marinara, fresh seafood and the homemade pasta had good bite to it. Will definitely return.

Great options. Nice gnocchi and very tasty pizzas. Staff are friendly and good with suggestions. Oh they are dog friendly too and will bring out a water container out. (Why don't restaurants invest in a dog bowl?) Lots of vegetarian options and are willing to make most things vegetarian :). They do say they can make it vegan friendly too, which is the next thing to explore here.

Amazing food. Even more amazing hospitality. We had gone to Lygon street as we wanted to go to an Indian restaurant for Indian food. But while walking from the car park, we saw this restaurant and thought of trying it out instead. And we were not disappointed! We ordered Arancini balls(4 cheese) and Garlic bread for entrees. The Arancini balls were just amazing. Mains were Gnocchi - one in pesto sauce and another in red sauce. We also ordered Diavola Pizza. The restaurant does not do false advertisement when they say theirs is the best hand made gnocchi. It is certainly the best - so fluffy! The pizza was also amazing. For desserts we orders choco lava cake and pana cota. When we cut into the cake - ooh - just pure love!! This is a real lava cake... A special thanks to our host as well on that day - Mr. Ricky Dhingra! He was amazing. So was our server - Jaanam. Thank you for a great dinner experience.

This is the GO TO place for gnocchi. Amazing table service and food comes out at just the right time. I can't stress this enough: Buy the gnocchi! Their other specials such as crispy Atlantic salmon are excellent too. Arancini Balls were really filling - Bolognese filling preferred.

Lovely staff, second time at this cosy establishment. The specials are fun to try. We had the purple sweet potatoe gnocchi the first time we were here and it was marvelous. Staff are always happy to chat about their favorites and good at recommendations. Walk in on a weeknight or weekend is possible. They have a chef making pasta/gnocchi by the storefront. You know it has to be fresh!!

Omg!! The fettuccine bolognese at this restaurant is divine. A star dish - 10/10. The service is fantastic here. Came for a birthday and the waitress was very helpful helping with organising a cake to come out and arranging the candles. Reasonably priced too for the meal portion sizes.

I do like how they make their own pasta here. It is made with love and is quite tasty, I do probably prefer dried pasta though as I like it al dente which you can't really do with fresh pasta. The menu here has all the classics from Italy, matched by a surprisingly tasty selection of Italian wines. There was nothing really on the menu that stood out but we weren't disappointed, if anything the dishes were under seasoned. If you're after a special Italian meal with punch then there are better options in Carlton but this place is ok.

I walked across the road from my Lygon St Motel and dined at Seasons Provedore, making sure I was seated next to a heater! I had Caciucco, an Italian seafood stew with mussels, pipis, prawns, calamari, slowly cooked in house made Napoli sauce and GF bread. Very nice although not as 'spectacular' as I expected! The flavours were nice, all the seafood was great, but the flavours all tended to blend in - I guess that's what slow cooking does! Recommended although next time I would try a different dish. Hand rolled pasta being made in the window. Service was good.

Delicious homemade ‘melt-in-your-mouth’ gnocchi and Italian pizza in a cosy restaurant. We were given complimentary drinks on arrival & had the gnocchi Sorrentina, and the vegeteriana pizza. Both were delicious but the gnocchi was definitely the stand out for me. Staff were friendly & not overly pushy like some others on Lygon.

From the moment of our arrival the staff were at our service. A truly great experience. The pasta was fresh and cooked perfectly. Went for dinner here with my partner last Wednesday. It is often difficult to choose a spot on Lygon due to the excessive options and people trying to drag you in to their restaurants, we decided to go for Seasons because of their laidback approach and the comfort of seeing pasta being freshly made in the window. Nick was our host who offered us 10/10 service, great knowledge of the menu and awesome with people. We decided to go for two off the specials menu - the beef rib Ragu and the chili prawn Gnocchi. Both were amazing and literally the best Italian we had eaten for a long time. Will 100% be back again. Congrats to Nick and the rest of the crew at Seasons.

This restaurant hand makes the gnocchi in the window and is so light and fluffy it just melts in your mouth. No feeling later of feeling sick and full and heavy in your tummy. I don't know how they do it! But to the chefs, please please please bring back the pumpkin gnocchi as it's probably the best dish you have and i hear it's only served now on special occasions. We love it and would love to see it come back on the menu! 😊 Aside from that the garlic bread is yummy, desserts beautiful, and staff friendly and very accommodating. A definite YES from me!

As a dedicated foodie, who can usually pick small faults in most restaurants, I was pleasantly surprised at Seasons Provedore. The very best fresh pasta and gnocchi I have ever eaten. The pumpkin gnocchi was perfectly formed, yet delicate. Absolute artwork. The two fresh pasta dishes were of the same quality, clearly handmade by a pasta chef who possesses knowledge, and a love for his or her work. One of the few restaurants saved to my Google Maps favourites list. Highly recommended!

We dined at Seasons yesterday with my husband for the first time. We ordered Mussels ($18), Gnocchi Sorrentina ($26) and Gnocchi Funghi Porcini e Pancetta ($29). We both found the food average and heavily overpriced! Mussels were not fresh and quite pungent (overly fishy). However, both gnocchi plates improved our initial impression slightly. The texture of gnocchi was soft and smooth as it is when it is freshly made and we liked it. Both sauces were tasty, but nothing extraordinary. This joint needs to rise its game in terms of cooking if they are to justify these prices. Otherwise we found it quite a rip off. The two young lady staff were very nice and attentive, less so the front door host. Most probably we won't be coming back.

It was dull and lacked the expected rich texture. Also the dish was so small like a kids dish ! In additon, the garlic bread was too small (only small 4 peices) and felt as if it is toasted rather than baked. The service was good and friendly and the show of the dishes was nice. But, this is not enough ! Be more generous !

Home made pasta which I couldn't fault I had the Tagliatelle with prawns with basil pesto with was pretty darn good my partner had the home made lasagne which he said was really good but could of come in a bigger portion size. We had garlic bread which was amazing he had a beer and me two cocktails and it come to roughly $80.. The only fault our waiter change three times during our meal and we weren't told the specials. Fluffiest, most delicious gnocchi I've ever had. Service is always wonderful here- even on New Year's Day when people were queuing up, there was still no delay in having orders taken or food coming out. I'm grateful how close to home this place is and will be making plenty more trips back.

The squid in pasta marinara was tasty and fresh - however I was disappointed with the amount of seafood on the plate. Plenty of muscles, hardly any fish or prawns and I would love more sauce to soak up the delicious pasta. The tables were very squishy outdoors, I wouldn't recommend it for a family and no high chairs were offered. The fan blowing was a little bit annoying. My husband asked for OJ (said fresh on the menu and he got concentrate so he was a little disappointed). I would go back again with an appointment ( kid free ) and sit indoors.

WOW, Yummo!! We had a late lunch at this restaurant and it was just the best, the fresh Gnocchi was something that you have to try A++. Right in the middle of busy Lygon St restaurant area. The wait staff were fantastic and is very reasonably priced. We had 2 meals, a couple of beers and a glass of wine total $56. Great food, lovely staff, well priced. What more could you ask for.

I love this place! I go there at least 3 times a week and recommend it to everyone I know. The menu is simple but all lovely and the staff are like a second family to me (even call me by name). No matter if you sit inside or out the atmosphere is great and the service is of the highest standard. Seasons is fantastic if you are in a rush as they cater for quick meals and are very family friendly. The food is always delicious and the prices are almost too good to be true! The outdoor heating is the best I've had yet and the chairs are comfortable so you can sit for hours if you wish. I actually cannot stop raving about this place! 10/10!

Really nice food and great service. Unfortunately the owner who took the booking forgot to tell his staff so we were left waiting on the street until a table was avialable. Staff kindly offered us free glass of wine while we waited. The tables they found us was on the street and again whilst we were on very uneven ground it was a balmy night and quite enjoyable.

Great experience today. My spaghetti marinara was very tasty and my friend enjoyed her ravioli - which was tonight’s special. Before that, however, me and my frienf thought that the mains were not tasty as they did not look appetising enough as compared to other places. Tiramisu cream was perfect as it was not too sweet and had a subtle coffee flavour. Coffee was awesome. I guess the problem was that it was understaffed at the front, so it took a while for them to organise everything for the customers. I could see that the front of house people were doing their best though. Anyway, I think another thing is that the place is quite cramped. I know this is commonplace in restaurants like this so whether or not that is a real issue I do not know. Another thing is that the music was not appropriate for the place. I would expect Italian music and not anything pop, but maybe that is just me. Overall, Seasons Provedore is a place I would definitely recommend.

We came on a Wednesday evening, around 6ish. Ordered the aranchini, 2 pasta and 2 pizzas to share. Arancini looked great, it turned out to be lovely little crispy/crunchy balls of rice. Ours was the traditional one with Bolognese filling. Served nice and hot. The spaghetti carbonara was lovely, maybe a little too much pepper, but had a nice taste to it. Not creamy sickly, but a real authentic flavour. It reminded me of Antonio Carluccio's recipe. The pasta Bolognese was nice and light, not too heavy on the sauce, the fresh pasta was soft and tender like it should be. The pancetta and mushroom pizza wasn't overly heavy or thickly topped. Less is more in this case, with a nice touch of herbs with the cheese. Some of the crust was slightly soggy, but all good. The vegetarian pizza was a great mix of cherry tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini and cheese. Base was light and crispy, not soggy at all. Service was great, we weren't pressured or anything. Water was refilled as required, all friendly and polite. This is definitely worth walking a bit further up to get to, a lovely meal worth taking time to enjoy.

Good in house made pasta, okay sauces. One of the better selections in Lygon street, most others in the strip are tourist traps and are dreadful. My marinara with squid ink pasta was tasty, but the price is up there with better Italian restaurants in the city. Also the portion sizes on two separate visits have been very inconsistent.

On a very busy Monday night the wait staff were flat out but still very friendly and helpful. Bruscetta and aroncinni entrées whet the appetite with a delicious indication of what was to come. The Gnocchi with pesto was light, tender and succulent. A squid ink marinara studded with prawns, scallops, vongole and mussels was exceptional, and a creamy tagliatelle with proccuito hit the mark also. The house made pasta, as always, was the great indication of an accomplished kitchen. An ample wine list and a couple of the best affogato's tasted rounded out an excellent meal. Highly recommended.

Delicious food, I would like to congratulate the chef for such a wonderful job, the pasta is fresh, we love to see how they make the gnoccis, the staff is very friendly, however something to improve would be that it is very annoying that the waiters are asking how each 5 minutes "if everything is fine" because I think customers deserve their space, my friends recommended the place a lot, it was annoying that you were "on top of you" all the time, I wanted to see what happened and there are two men who force the poor waiters to do that process all the time, I know that they offer quality but what you breathe is a very tense environment once you realize that the boss is not friendly at all with his workers, otherwise everything is beautiful included the Italian boy who is at the window making pasta
