A great staple in the pizza and pasta restaurant business. Huge portion sizes, very decent prices. We love the Mexican pizza - one of the few pizzas that's actually spicy. A nicer little playground for the kids. Lots of parking and a huge restaurant inside. Mostly friendly service.

We were first introduced to this family oriented Italian restaurant by my relative many years back and had eaten many times. Post Covid we had a recent early dinner. The place has plenty of parking and a small play area for young kids. Large indoor place to accommodate big parties. See photos taken. Portions are large so be ready to take takeaway boxes. All our orders came so quickly from entree to mains that they occupied the table in one go.

A great place to share a meal, with large quantities. Pasta misto is great value and a chance to try 3 different pastas. And the spaghetti Sofia's has not disappointed over the years. The usual order. Beware the family sized herb pizzas/bread are giant. The quality is good, it's not the most refined Italian food but pretty good for the price. Great for big families and get togethers.

I went there with a friend. And we ordered a small size pizza for share🍕, but the waiter placed a small size pizza for each 🍕🍕. Highly recommended next time, please repeat the order to customer and make sure no misunderstandings. The coffee was good and the pizza was average.

I just rediscovered Sofia. It must have been about 15 years since I last ate there and the prices haven't changed since then! I think this is the only restaurant in the world that hasn't increased their prices in the last decade and a half. Amazing food- especially the cheesy garlic bread- and ridiculously huge serves. Love this place!

The portions were massive. I ordered the steak and it was very bland not enough salt. Mushroom sauce was good but could not make up for the lack of seasoning. First time I did not finish a steak. The other two dishes were fine. Food came out very quick while they were very busy. Leeds me to think they they make a lot of this in bulk to save time. That is not always a good thing.

We had a celebration lunch as a party of 30 people. We preordered our meals and every dish came out as per our order. Portions were great value and food was tasty. No complaints from the kids so that would be 2 extra stars from me. Staff was very accomodating and placed us near the entry to the playground which was very thoughtful. I've placed orders online for pickup and it has been ready before my pick up time with the service being great. Can taste how fresh the seafood is. My husband and I always go back to this place. Family-friendly diner. It is always busy and I guess that is one good sign that this resto is sensational. Their tiramisu is to die for! Their steak is mouth-watering and I love the concept of their three pasta in one plate. To top it off, the service is amazing and fast. You do not have to wait for the food for long time.

Had a delightful meal here with my husband and I on our honeymoon-staycation. Ordered 3 dishes -Garlic bread small -Pollo (chicken) Libaba -Tropical Hawaiian pizza small Staff were all very attentive to even details we would not expect to be served, from warm water requests (bringing out 2 glasses of hot water & 1 jug of cold water so we can mix), to noticing spills on our table and wiping for us, to handing out extra pizza boxes and takeaway containers when my husband struggled to pack leftovers. Impressed by the golden crisp crust garlic bread that was served like a beautiful pizza, but tropical haiwaiian pizza could be better as shredded ham tasted a bit burnt. The Pollo Libaba (Seafood, mushrooms, bacon, brandy, cream, Napoli sauce and a touch of curry) was also very good, ordered it not knowing it was a chicken main dish , but a seafood dish similar to the entree King prawn dish. But the pairing went so well with chips + salad. Grilled chicken breast was very generous and had a delicious chargrill to it, it is has been a long time i ate a nice grilled chicken breast. The dish's sauce was the highlight and my favourite to dip everything in :D Will be back to try more and possibly dessert? 👀🤗 as the cashier person tries to hint to my husband cheekily while i was sneaking glances of the beautiful chunky slices

I ordered food for home delivery from Sofia Burwood through Doordash. The food that was delivered to us was misplaced and we got the wrong order. However, upon calling the restaurant, they were very supportive and sent me the replacement food that was originally missed from the order. The food itself was excellent and much better than what I would expect delivered home. Pasta was superb, and Pizza was full of cheese and veggies. Garlic bread was also very tasty. The food they delivered directly later was hot and fresh. I would order from this place once again, simply for the fact that they really care for customer satisfaction.

Hit and Miss. The food portions are huge so u get "value" for money. No flavour though. Don't go when it's busy as the food is horrible. When it's quiet the food can be good. Avoid the steaks as they can't seem to get it right. I ordered a medium rare closer to rare and was given medium well, I sent it back, then it came out rare/blue... Not wanting to send it back again I just left it. When the waiter came to ask me how the steak was I said it's okay, then he says next time you need to order rare not medium rare, the first steak was medium rare as you ordered ... It clearly wasn't. To cook it wrong then have the audacity to say that I ordered my steak wrong was pathetic. I order steaks at all the restaurants I visit and I know what medium rare steak looks like.

A Sofia branch, like many others. Food is on par with other Sofia outlets, generous portions as usual. Spacious more so than some other venues. Went here in a group of 18 or so, had one doubled order but was otherwise great - food came fairly quickly. Be prepared as there are no split bills. Staff maybe not as jovial as some other Sofia joints but still decent service overall.

The garlic bread is a winner, as are the wedges and the seafood is fresh. Service is some times a bit slow, but they're always nice and the food makes up for it.

We did a small family get together at this restaurant in Jan and we are a group of around 12 cousins. The place has a nice location and ample parking. We tried the set party menu and despite some of us ordering vegetarian and others non vegetarian, we still got a decent variety of pizza and pastas on the table. All the food tasted nice and was well presented. The set menu also included garlic bread which was served with cheese but seemed to be plain bread and did not really taste like garlic bread, although it was quite decent nonetheless. They served us gelati to close the meal and all the flavors were liked by everyone. The portions are quite big and even though we ordered only single serves, we ended up with quite a bit of leftovers. Overall we enjoyed our evening and the service and food definitely added to it.

Handled a table of around 40 where people were arriving all over the place pretty well. HUGE portions (double the average size) so very good value for money, could probably save themselves some money by making them smaller because hardly anyone finished. I had chicken schnitzel with mushroom sauce, it was delicious. Home made nuggets for the kids too, not processed ones. Small wine selection but what they had was very good. Despite the big crowd, the staff at Sofia Burwood was prompt and courteous to take our order. The food serve size was really big (good value for money in this aspect). However, the food taste was not satisfactory. It was too bland. I went to Sofia at Frankston. In comparison, the food quality and taste was so much better (amid smaller size).

Sofia's is one of those places that never really changes. Over sized serves of Italian - quality is average, but it's great for large groups especially children and sharing. Most of it comes down to pizzas and pasta - pizzas are better, the pastas can be bland depending which are ordered. The spiral pesto is a favourite, and there are lots of vegetarian options. The gelato is also popular, with a large sharing cup with all the flavours. Again, great for kids - usually lots to takeaway for the next day or two.

Awesome place to enjoy Italian cuisine. The place is easily accessible and have a good sized parking area and a play area for kids. Sofia serves generous size meals and you might not be able to finish up large meals. Therefore be mindful about that. Same for most desserts too. Meals are great in taste and served nicely. In a case you couldn't finish up and think of taking away the rest, there are food containers on shelves near seating area. We had spaghetti marinara and seafood spaghetti for main and tiramisu for dessert. I would like to try more cuisines there.

If you are looking for that fine dining experience and food quality, this is not the right place for you. Overall for the price you pay it is more for the portion than quality so I would say so definitely don’t over-order. Sofia is definitely one of the best and tastiest restaurants I have ever been. All the great cuisine from Italy and the rest of Europe can be found here. My best friends and me have been there a couple of times, and we believe that every time gets better and better. You can find all the mixes imaginable. Seafood mix, veggie mix, pizza mix, etc. But indeed the best moment to go to Sofia is with your friends and family, that's the only way you can really experience the full wonder of this incredible restaurant. If you allow me to make a recommendation, I would say that Spaghetti Marinara is one of the best choices of the menu. Just remember to order large dish, because for great appetites, small dishes are not enough's. Go to Sofia Burwood. You will not regret it tomorrow. 👍
