Great place, nice music. Ordered burgers, fries and a beer. Then another beer. And a third by the time our meals arrived over an hour later. Burgers were great, fries over cooked and over salted. But if not in a rush definitely worth going. Just don't order the sweet potato fries.

I've dined inside of Southside way back in 16', the experience was laid back and enjoyable. We sat near the bar, service was not difficult to get a hold up. Burgers were super tasty and the milkshake was pure gluttony. Sadly their takeaway orders processes for delivery drivers needs some work. Checklists not ticked off when packing for the driver resulted in items left at the store. Minor critique but one nonetheless.

Southside social is a great American restaurant on Wednesday the have 5$ wings ranging from Smokey bbq and buffalo wings all types of wings. Staff are really nice and friendly. Not recommend for the young ones because of explicit music.

Great place to go and be social as the name implies. Went solo a few weeks ago and had the fatty 5-0. Beefy, Mac n cheesy, smoky bbq. Great burgers would eat again. Well cooked, nicely sauced. Also had the cheesy fries with chipotle seasoning and American cheddar cheese sauce. Would have been better if it was drowned in the stuff, sauce wasn't as cheesy as I hoped, more chipotle :(.. slight let down but still tasty enough.

Burgers as usual are great, staff are lovely. But can you guys learn to make a milkshake? It isn't just milk and topping, way too expensive for it to be just milk and a little bit of topping. Didn't like the mac n cheese nuggets but I think that is just me. Sauces are great as well.

The burgers were okay, I don't know if I had too high expectations but I felt underwhelmed compared to many other burger places. I was also disappointed that there were no local beers on offer considering how many great independent craft breweries are in the area. The service was decent however. Overall though I feel like there's room for improvement and I'd be unlikely to recommend based on my visit.

I had been drooling over the southside social menu online for ages so we finally got our s#*& together and made our way down there. We have a toddler so everything we do atm is an effort. On first arrival it seems like a fairly small eating area but it actually has another back area which is where we sat. Our turdler loved the booths and the fact that she could explore between the two dining areas. Music was a tad loud for us to chat easily but we are old and we think the music at the supermarket is too loud so keep that in mind as most people probably wouldn't notice the volume. That being said the music selection was absolutely on point..I can only assume the owners are around the same generation as us. Korn, blink 182, a day to remember... All bangers. Food was amazing. Our turdler had the mac n cheese nuggets which were 4 large cubes of crumbed and deep fried mnc. When I say she had them she danced around them while she ate our fries. I ended up eating them for her as with most of her meals. They were pretty darn amazing and worth the visit alone. However, the highlight of my eating was the sloppy Joe. You can choose any meat with your burger (or vegan patty) so I just had standard beef. My husband had the grilled chicken on the social burger . Thoroughly enjoyed it. Fries were fresh and tummy. Service was great and super friendly. Check out the toilets as the artwork is amazing.

Mrs Simple burger with fried chicken and social fries: Pros: tender chicken, crispy breading, good mayonaise, very good chips and I liked the tangy seasoning. Cons: soggy lettuce (because it was stupidly placed underneath the chicken), online description didn't mention cheese — but there was cheese in the burger which was over powering and cheap tasting, buns tasted like supermarket buns and they were too soft for a moist burger, chicken needs more seasoning. Also, if you get this burger, don't keep in the sweet and sour sauce, it's a strange flavour that dominates the burger. Overall pretty decent burger but there is room for improvement.

Atmosphere is modern grungy, alternative modern tunes, the place to be for dinner and stick around for drinks till late... Live music for Sunday sessions too!

My first time here, Tuesday night, the place was less than half full but I had to wait 40 minutes for my food. Wise Guy Burger - very good. Social Fries - average BBQ mayo dipping sauce - generous size, good taste, but I felt the flavour didn't go well with the burger. Staff - not particularly friendly or welcoming, but at least they apologized for the long wait (said they were short staffed) and offered me a free drink. I will go back an try some different dishes.

Food is great and was prepared quickly. Male waiter staff were quite unprofessional and i felt uncomfortable there when they kept pressuring me and my friend to buy drinks and i even overheard joking about tips to another person. More of a bar to go to before going out then somewhere to go for dinner as they are insistent on you drinking there.

Always love the food and atomosphere here. On a number of occasions though they have put their special sauce in my burger after asking to remove it as I am allergic to egg. I always check when it comes out and they have to make me a new burger which is an inconvenience to not only me but the staff too. This has happened 5/6 times I have ordered there. They are happy to fix it but hope to see this problem resolved for future visits.

This is my regular Saturday burger feed with the boys its that good! Have nearly tried them all on the menu now and each one is just as good as the other it just comes down to how hungry you are in order to being able to finish some of them! Beautifully cooked everytime, backed by my favourite type of music (rap and r'n'b) i feel right in my zone! Fair on the alchohol pricing too, no rediculous overcharge like some pubs!

Was a solid gourmet Burger experience. The Poutine fries were done with a twist, they were good, but not a classic Poutine which is what I was after. Burgers where jam packed with flavour. Only lost a star because even though the hosts where good when serving, they spent much of their time when not with customers chatting loudly across the room which was distracting.

Bit of a mixed bag experience. We came on a Tuesday night which has a $3 bites special. So we tried a few of them, none great, all just a deep fried mess. The "jalapeño poppers" used diced jalapeños as opposed to whole jalapeños filled which I found very odd. They were way to cream-cheesey for my liking. The tater tots and mac and cheese were a bit more flavoursome, but still just seemed like mush deep fried. We didn't try the chicken tenders but in fairness they seemed very generous for the price, and if they tasted like the chicken in the burger would be delicious. Burgers faired a little better. I had the Meat Market and thoroughly enjoyed it. Other guests had the Single Social and were unimpressed, looked quite small and bland. The Hot Mama had a positive review. Overall an okay experience. One of the better burger restaurants this south of the city.

Four stars ONLY because they use plastic baskets instead of plates. It might be the trendy thing to do but it's also annoying. Unless you want to wear your burger. I had the "Harlem Burger" - fried chicken and cheese between two waffles... Oh... My... God... So good. They've recently changed their menu (1st September 2017) and a lot has disappeared. No more taco fries. But worth a visit! Especially if you're a hipster. Beards are a must, apparently. ALSO PLEASE note! $20 EFTPOS minimum! Ridiculous! Most burgers are under $15! So annoying . Stood there for ten minutes trying to decide on a dessert and was disappointedand had to go to 7-11 for a choc top instead.

I have lived in Frankston and have been coming to Southside (or the local as i call it) for the past 2 years. Lots of changes, alot of them for the best and the new menu is great and the wings/bites are amazing. Being Coeliac sucks...however I used to love coming to Southside for my buger fix as the GF bun was amazing. The new buns taste like damper and sawdust had a baby so thankyou for making being Coeliac suck even worse... Please bring back the old buns or this won't be my local anymore. 😭😭#dissapointed

I agree with the review below the girls that work there could be have more personality goes along way when your the only decent place in frankston. We tried taking our pooch but your only aloud in the day and they have to be tied up on the otherside of the outside area. I can understand if licensing have said no but if its ok im sure they can let your dog through thats well behaved. We went back on friday for takeaway around 7pm for takeaway. Which it states it does on Zomato. Me and ny friend popped in and asked the waitress she said it was to late and would have been 30 minute wait we said ok that's fine. She went back on what she said and no not at all. When we sat down from ordering at the bar it took 13 minutes to get our food what is the difference for me to eat in or takeaway? Also it wasnt even busy. I'm not saying these guys are bad they could be better. I think the owners need to be more clear with the rules of the place. You cant even call them. Get a phone its 2016. Still go if you want some awesome food really rate the place for that. Just little things lately have been annoying and inconvenient.

Whilst there is nothing really wrong with this venue it is certainly over hyped. The staff were friendly and we were served in a decent amount of time and our table was clean. However the accessibility and seating arrangements could be problematic for persons with mobility issues, and value for money can be hit and miss with some items being fairly priced with others being way over priced, mainly due to their ‘instagramability’

great burgers, great vibe. definitely the spot to catch up with mates over a few drinks and burgers they have a good variety of burger options where you choose the protein you want - makes every burger super versatile! my personal fav was the Whiskey Burger - the whiskey bbq sauce was lit! paired so well with the caramelised onion. id recommend this with the beef patties i also got the mac n cheese croqs but felt it needed a bit more seasoning - it might have just been an off day in the kitchen for this.. the outside was suuuper crispy though and had such an inviting crisp texture! they def had that down pat
