Had to go out of my way to come back to this amazing restaurant! Everything is fantastic! Crust is perfect, good quality cheese and veggies! Love it! It’s my new favorite in all of Melbourne. The people are so lovely as well!

Loving the pop up take away store front at Tacco and Tosca. Rich nutty long blacks, perfect chai lattes with beautiful fresh baked bread and home made pastas. The gluten free pasta is wonderful, gnocchi to die for and lasagna tray a little beauty.The best part though, the people, warm friendly and genuinely caring. Very nice atmosphere and great selection of Italian cuisine. Perfect for small family catch ups or dinner with friends. Quiet location. The outdoor area is very nice and reminds me much of an Italian osteria or taverna. Friendly staff!

Simply the best pizza in Melbourne. Crust bubbled and charred just like wood fired pizza should be. We arrived without a booking and they immediately found us a table. Lovely and attentive service, fast turn around for meals to arrive. Only thing I’d love to see are a few more Italian wines on their list, and found their wine list a bit limited by the glass, but the white we were recommended was Italian and lovely. Great to have staff that knew about the wines on the menu and were happy to make a recommendation. Can’t wait to go back- is my new local!

Absolutely amazing, the atmosphere is fantastic, the feeling of being in Italy again is awesome, such good food, everything is fresh and home made, simple but exquisite, the staff is very friendly and made our night out very funny and smooth. I was looking forward to trying out this restaurant as I'd heard quite a few rave reviews from friends. Perhaps I had set my expectations too high as it wasn't without some disappointment. After our COVID-19 check-in, which was quite simple and well organized, we were nicely greeted and seated in the pleasant authentic Italian al fresco dining area at the rear of the restaurant. Over a glass of beautiful Chianti we checked the menu and decided to share a Calamari Fritti as an entree and each of us selected the Zuppa as the main. The Zuppa was good but the Calamari Fritti was terrible to say the least! Very little calamari, mostly just batter. It was the worst I'd ever had. Fried calamari rings are just so easy to make so how could they get this so wrong! Perhaps to be fair we should make another visit.

This is one of Melbourne’s newest little secrets. I’m a local and this place just keeps getting better and better. Not only is the pasta and pizza so authentically Italian, the actual setting being an alfresco dining experience almost makes you feel you could be on the Amalfi or even in the centre of Rome. Date nights, family and friend gatherings, or just a simple pasta after work, the staff, the beautiful family that own and operate it, and of course the food itself, is a culmination of taste and perfection.

Overpriced for what it is... Antipasto platter mediocre at best... 30$÷ for steak is fine.. but pasta should be much less sorry... and nothing special really... pizza OK..quite soggy .. there are much better Italian restaurants...

Hands down one of the best Italian Restaurants in Melbourne! Being Italian, it's hard to find food that resembles home made, casa linga style cooking. Without a doubt, these meals make me feel like I'm eating Nonna's best dishes. YOU MUST EAT THE MUSSELS!! Worth every cent. Family friendly, great service, fantastic atmosphere. Highly Recommend!

Superb. We got the Bari Vecchia Pizza and the Papadelle Brisket. Both really good. The Brisket Pappadelle was very generous in portion, with a LOT of brisket. Pasta was almost a garnish here! The pizza had a really fresh and light base. We sat out in the yard, which is really pleasant, and authentic Italian. Lots of locals in there, with very friendly and hospitable staff (family run). I'll be back!

Kevin and I had superb meals last Saturday evening. The seafood "soup" was outstanding and Kevins snapper was magnificent. As I am slightly intolerant to gluten the chef made me a gluten free pizza, which was beautifully crisp, instead of having bread. The service , atmosphere and vista were delightful. Next time we are back in Melbourne we will dine here again

The service was friendly and the pizza and southern Italian "hot pockets" were excellent. I was particularly fond of the crust (just the right ratio of pillowy to chewy) and the quality of the ricotta on the white pizza. The best surprise was the dessert. I love cannoli but I'm often hesitant to order it as I've been disappointed so many times. But these are homemade and filled to order so the shells are perfectly crisp and the traditional ricotta filling is perfect! We live in the area and will definitely return.

Very nice little place hidden away in middle park. We love to stop here for some great Italian wine and authentic Italian food. Friendly staff with a great atmosphere, this is a hidden gem.

Had dinner here last Saturday night. Beautiful little suburban restaurant with well trained and organised staff. Food is very good and the setting and ambiance is exceptional. The outdoor area in particular is super pleasant.

A few months ago I had a delicious medium rare steak, tasty vegetables, wine, coffee and a sorbet in an orange - all great. Free car parking is plentiful in Richardson St. Armstrong St and Erskine St. The pizza part is at the front on Richardson St while the more formal dining area and dining court yard is at the rear. This can be accessed from Erskine St too. I have lived in Middle Park for 33 years and often eat out in trendy Middle Park shopping strip. It is also 100m from the Middle Park light rail stop (No 96 tram). I went back to Villaggio's tonight (28 Apr 13) and has a nice white wine, crumbed lamb cutlets with a warm potato salad with capers, onion ring and a nice green paste garnish followed by Affogato for dessert which consisted of scoop of ice cream, a shot of coffee and a liquor shot which you can taken separately or mix with the ice cream. I put the coffee into the ice cream but drank the liquor after that.The staff were so nice that they got a $11 tip for this $49 meal - great value.
