Fabulous fish and chip shop! It was such a delightful surprise to find they cater for coeliacs with gluten free food cooked in a separate fryer. The GF batter looked every bit as delicious as the regular batter. Tasty potato cakes and very generous portions. Highly recommended.

Last night the only two places you could buy take away in Beechworth were Aging Frog and Coffee Stains. There was a power outage earlier in the day. the pubs were either booked out or the chef was sick. These two were under the pump and we chose Aging Frog. They let us know the wait was going to be an hour and took my phone number. The text came though at 55 minutes. There was no compromise on the food. It was as good as all the other reviews say it is.

This fish and chippery is amazing. The fries are fried to perfection, their sauces are home made. I highly recommend the tomato sauce made with little pieces of ginger. The fish sandwich tastes so good, with fresh veggies and soft bread and a big fish burger between.

Very nice and non greasy fish, paired with tasty chips and an in house tartare dip. Highly recommend trying their in house potato cakes too, unexpectedly delicious. There are long wait times with a minimum of 25-30 on average, make sure to place a phone order.

I've ordered consecutive fish burgers & are one of the best around, and I've not been disappointed. Their steak sandwich, with the bread from Milawa that they use, is top notch .The chargrilled flavours of the bacon/ onions brings out an insatiability. I'm also impressed with their generous serves, and size of the items, with pride, and presentation given to their food, with added consistency. Kudos to the chef(s) for the work ethic they bring, and the front of house younger girl(s), who are considerate & pleasant to deal with.

Hands down 1 of the best fish burgers in Aus. Chips were soft and crunchy too. The cauliflower buts are good but they need to be shared between a few people as it gets a little oily after a few. Fish cakes are brilliant too. Would highly recommend the food.

Fish very oily. Ok I guess. Not a huge F&C fan but I think can be better than this. Price reasonable. Time estimate for order a bit whack, said 25 mins and it was 15. I realise it can be hard to know but I think important to try and estimate reasonably accurately as people will go away and come back. No one likes soggy chips. Overall ok.

Man this place makes amazing fish and chips. Scallops were really tender and juicy too. Potato cakes (potato scallops to NSW) were a speciality and didn't disappoint either. Fried fish was on point too, light, cripsy batter. We went here just before leaving Beechworth and driving back to Sydney - wish we'd tried it earlier in our stay, woulda saved a bunch as compared to most other places in Beechworth it's really reasonably priced. Props to the chef.

Top range of seafood.Very fresh fish in the thinnest crispy Tempe style batter I have ever tasted from a seafood shop.The potato cakes were also quite special.Would have liked to have sampled many more of their wide range of offerings.The French chef who devised the menu may have retired but his apprentice has taken over the secret recipes and is doing them justice.This is no ordinary fish and chips shop.They do takeaways.
