Had good time here. Lorne is lovely and was even better having good food there too. Benedict burger is hard to eat keeping nice and clean but taste was great. Goat cheese stuffed mushroom was worth, flavor of mushroom was greatly merging, melting down with goat cheese and others too

When we have day off together. We EAT 오빠 had the grandmaster and I got their fire engine. We also got a side of chips and I tried their vanilla malt shake. The burgers are HUGE! Patty a bit dry to our surprise. LOVE their chips and tomato relish YUM! Crispy on the outside, soft and hot on the inside #justthewaywelikeit And the shake was nice too! Wow nice breakfast. My daughter and I had the goats cheese, mushroom etc meals. Coffee was great and the peanut smoothly too. Only dissapointment was the menu said 10% surcharge for public holidays but on good Friday we copped 20% plus $2.40 for eftpos charges (I don't use credit card with this card). Must be a religious charge for eating meat on Friday 🤷‍♂️

Hmmm well, enjoyed food and waitresses great only thing was a 20% surcharge that was not advertised on their menu. As this place is quite busy, maybe 5% would be better as an extra nearly $12 is a lot just for lunch. Imagine a family of 4 and 20% surcharge, not good guys especially in covid times !!!!

Breakfast review. What a pleasant place to have breakfast and coffee. Even on a cold rainy day. Coffee is 5/5 stars. Breakfast options are solid and all your classic choices. Spacious. Good vibes. On the main strip. Fast service. Smiling staff. I'd be happy to have breakfast here again and again.

They refunded us for their mistake. We ate here on our way to Warrnambool. After ordering lunch, we waited for full 40 mins. And when lunch still didn't come, we asked about our order. They checked and told us that due to a technical error in their system, our order was missed. They told us that our money is being refunded in full, and they'll serve our order on priority at the same time. While we weren't very happy that this happened, I appreciate that the staff recognised this and made amends without us even asking for it. It assured us that they put customers first. The food was very good. I loved the mushroom burger in particular. Their spicy tofu burger was also very good. Coffee was good as well. Such restaurants are hard to find, where staff and management acknowledge and proactively take corrective steps. I give a 5/5 for this reason, otherwise I would have given a 4.

Awesome burger. Can’t say i’ve tasted millions of burgers to review this but they were AWESOME! the patties are tasty and savoury, the veggies were very fresh and the whole thing is just delicious. I had the Nelly and the wife had the mad cow. Nelly was recommended by the waitress and i definitely Loved the Nelly better .hehe. was so good we came back the next day for another burger (bacon & cheese burger). definitely drop by if u have the chance. The fries are very tasty but a tat too salty. :)

Such a lovely place in a great location! For sure one of the best in the area, but it wasn’t amazing. It is very well decorated, especially their terrace, with plants and pillows. The burgers were good, I had the Lentil one and it was really tasty. The chips are frozen so they’re empty inside and too oily. The coffee is not great bad. I also had a chai latte and was undrinkable. Overall it was good but a overpriced for the quality.

A nice and relaxed cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. The soy chai is the perfect sweetness and texture. We ordered the hot rod which was creamy with chilli scrambled eggs. The cheese infused with the egg makes it stretchy and soft. The chilli jam is a perfect combination . The veggie fritters were nicely fried with chilli jam to compliment.

A few of the others I was with were also dissapointed in their food. It is really pricey but I understand it is in a tourist town but even so the price doesn't really match the quality of food. This is a special place at the start-to-midway of one of the greatest road journeys in this great land! Coffee is above average and the food was great as you can see from the photos. It looks as good as it gets even compared to much more expensive inner city cafes... It tasted really good as well and I highly recommend this pitstop right before you enjoy the stunning views and the winding road that awaits you once you leave Lorne. BTW they have an extensive "burger for breakfast" menu (which I haven't tried as I'm not into morning burgers), it seems very popular amongst the crowd.

Nice little place, has vegetarian options. I'm not vegetarian, and love meat. However, I tried the magic mushroom. Its basically a vegetarian burger but made with a giant mushroom instead of a meat patty. It was delicious. Really big is well, so prepare to eat. Food came out really quick as well.

We stopped by at this cafe on our way to the Great Ocean Road. The place was quite busy and lively. We came here during their menu changing hour so between breakfast and lunch. As soon as we ordered, they completely changed their menu. We ordered big breakfast and the bacon burgers. They were really nice and fresh. I wish their bacon could be crispy but I think it was just their style. I must say this place is worth visiting on your way to the Great Ocean Road.

To say this is the best burger one has ever had is an overstatement because it really is very far down from even a good burger. It's a fine burger. Why I gave it 3 stars is because: 1. The buns were not toasted. I cannot stress the importance of having toasted buns in a burger. It takes a minute and it elevates the burger 10 fold. Toast your buns people. I'd dare say the buns felt a little old/stale. Tough to bite. 2. The sauce was really sour and overwhelming especially for my first bite. Just so much sourness probably because of the mustard but towards the end I actually cherished it because it cut through the fattiness. Although, this was me dipping the burger into the sauce that dripped and not actually having a whole mouthful. Less is more. 3. The patties were a little dry. All in all it's a fine burger. It's alright. Certainly not the best I've ever had contrary to what other reviews have said. Special mention to the chips which were super crunchy although slightly overcooked. Something about it made it quite not as tasty? Also, although dry, the patties were quite delicious. Happy munching 😬

GREAT BEER AND SERVICE! Coming from the city, we've had all kinds of burgers, so its pretty hard to find anything new. However service wise, the sky's the limit. Most businesses aren't creative that way, hoping to get more business by adding more expensive cheese or buns to their meals, when in actual fact they're missing the point. Thats what Bottle of Milk did well during my last visit. It was a busy weekend, and our order was a tad late. Turns out the kitchen printer ran out of ink so they didn't get our order. As a customer, I immediately have a bunch of questions floating in my head. How did it run out of ink? Is this the norm? Does that mean every time this happens a hungry customer gets a late order? But then, the waitress immediately said she would refund part of our meal as a token of appreciation for waiting. Immediately those questions went out the window. In fact I ordered another beer with that money. That's the second business that did something similar in Lorne. Loyal customer and a great review for $8.50 refund, that's a smart investment. If only more businesses used their brains that way. Well done Bottle of Milk!

Tried the 'cold shower' item listed under breakfast all day, which unexpectedly came in a burger form (though, arguably my fault), which was ok, bread was pretty dense and hard though. The fries and house mayo however, was devine. Fries had a lovely crispy crunchiness on the outside for a thick cut, with good seasoning, and the mayo was so fresh and light yet creamy, couldn't help but get another serving of it for $1.50 to finish the large serve of fries with. Mocha was good too. So overall, for a burger place, not sure I'd recommend the burgers, but would definitely drop in again for some good fries & mayo

I like their burgers, don't find them too amazing but I would give them 3 starts for their friendly service & for serving halal meat. I find their buns really hard but they are sourdough or cibatta or something so I think they are meant to be a little on the hard side but they should give bun options. The fries are really good though but I feel like for that price they should come with a sauce or aioli. You have to pay separately for the aioli & the KETCHUP! That is ridiculous! Also the beef burger was better then the chicken, had more flavour & was juicier. They are very pricey! $56 for 2 burgers and 1 fries to share & obviously tomato sauce & chilli aioli.

Had some pretty good chips here. Good spot to sit outside on the street. Good beer. Pricey, but everything is round here. But if you want good food, its a pretty safe bet. Pretty typical hard to stuff up kinda stuff, but they do it well. So thumbs up! Had the breakfast burger! It’s great. Very saucer, but then the good in life sort of has to be!

Really good lunch spot, right on the Great Ocean Road in the middle of downtown Lorne. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of burgers to chose from and also a few vegetarian options. The only downside was that parking can be a bit tough because it’s on the main street.

First came here a couple of years ago and loved it, so was eager to return when we planned our weekend to Lorne; unfortunately this time, we were so disappointed. We both ordered the exact same burger as we did a couple of years back and the difference between what we ordered then, and what we got this time was stark. We ordered the blue cheese burger (which last time literally had a SLAB of blue cheese in it) – where was the blue cheese this time?! Tasted like a normal burger! Aside from that (which is a pretty big deal), the chips were awesome. Hopefully you’ll return to form for when we’re there next.

Initially this was going to be a fairly poor review of wait times , however the staff turned it around for me. it turns out there was a mistake with our order meaning it had been skipped. When the staff member who initially took our order spotted we still hadn't been served almost 40min later she found out order, delivered it to the kitchen and came to us bearing a 5min ETA for our burgers , complimentary chips and an explaination/apology. Fantastic job on the staffs behalf . The food was also fresh, tasty and of a nice large serving , on the pricier side . Decent place for a lunch out along the coast.

I always order the blue cheese burger + bacon and chips to go with. Most of the time they hit the nail on the head and sometime i regret spending $18 on a burger. If the prices were a little cheaper that would be good. The atmosphere is awesome! And the staff are great :) Although sometimes they clear mine or my partners plate before the other one is finished. I believe it to be more polite to wait until both people have finished their food to clear plates unless there is a huge group. Overall I definetly think this is one of the better places to eat in Lorne.
