Besides having to wait until I got home to enjoy the steak burger with the lot that I ordered from this fish and chips shop, it was one of the best & tastiest steak burgers I've had in ages. Also the Dim Sims & extra (free chips) that I also order were cooked to perfection as well. This fish and chips shop definitely gets a 5 star rating from me & I'd highly recommend it to everyone

One of the best Fish & Chips shops ever!!! They have big servings of chips. The fish and other seafood are always delicious. The family who runs the shop are friendly, hard working and performs as a team. I've been a buying from The Couta since 2016. I still return there every so often to get my fish & chips even if I live in a different suburb now.

THE BEST fish n chips in Melbourne. YUM YUM absolutely awesome..Finally I’ve found a decent takeaway whos prices are very reasonable selling perfectly cooked seafood. I’m normally a little fussy but this shop gets it right every time. I highly recommend the crumbed snapper.

I ordered Halal Snack Pack from there. Oh my goodness, it was so fabulous! This is not conventional HSP you get from general kebab shop, it's different. But the taste is so good.. Loved it. Already bought HSP again from the same place and will continue to come back.

The grilled fish is of a quality you would find in a high end restaurant and their chips are as good as any I've had anywhere else and are almost as good as my home cooked ones. I drive past 3 fish and chip shops to get to The Couta. Customer service is excellent.

Always good fish and chips here. Busy but friendly service and phone orders a good idea. Though its usuall only a 10 15 minute wait. The schnitzel sandwich is beautifully evil nice :) Just ask if you want your chips a little extra crispy (like I do). What else can I add, its a good old fashioned chipper run by people who make good fish and chips and have the football playing on a tv in the corner.

I am extremely picky when it comes to food. Without a second thought I can say that I have tasted the best Fish & Chips & Steak Sandwich. Amazing value for money!!!!! Steak sandwich for $6.50, there is seriously wrong with food palette, if you do not like it. Cheers
