Went out for mothers day and the service was actually really nice and good, though they forgot to mention where to order. I had ordered the Spaghetti Pescatore which was amazing, plenty of flavour and plenty of seafood varieties. Would go back again without a doubt. Everyone else's meals were great too.

It’s not good and not bad. The bar doesn’t make many different types of drinks. The staff are alright not too friendly but not rude, a bit straight to the point. The outdoor area is really nice but the smoking area is right behind it and smells up the place.

We had dinner last night with family. They are friendly, but 3 of the meals were the worst meals we have ever had. The Roast meat and vegetables was so overseasoned, I didn't eat the potatoes and greens at all and there was a huge amount of fat on the meat. The Parma meals were so small. Really disappointing.

Beautiful decor with lots of prints/paintings and alcoves furnished comfortably. We had a lovely old solid table with large candlesticks on it. It would look lovely at night. The food was very good (delicious crunchy chips) and the staff efficient and friendly. The tavern is located a short walk from the railway station surrounded by shops.

My wife and I invited our friends to the Drake. I had the satay chicken with chips and so did my mate. My wife had the cottage pie and my friends wife had a massive salad. With out any reservations it was absolutely magnificent meals. I have to say that the satay chicken was in a main meal size.. Thoroughly recommend the Drake Tavern. Service was excellent and friendly. Well done to all the staff.

Staff were great. Cheesy bread was tasty but very oily. Mains were cooked well but Parma was small and chips were a bit tasteless in all 4 meals we bought. Eye fillet was cooked to perfection but still a little less flavour than I'm used to. Overall, a bit disappointing considering that we rarely get to go out for meals as a family these days.

Had a good family meal here the other day, honestly the place has really picked up. Atmosphere is great and service is friendly. I think outdoor area is really comfortable for long debates with mates. Prices is not too bad I think it was $100 for myself the wife and two kiddos, including drinks and an entree to share. Would go again for sure, only downside is probably that they just need to kick some of the junkies out of the beer garden every now and then.

Recently refurbished and looks great. Large beer garden with plenty of tables and outdoor TV. Good sized lounge and separate large dining area. Additional outdoor covered seating area. Function room and no pokies!!! Great food and friendly staff. Smoking area is in the naughty corner, covered and hidden behind a partition screen.

The Drake Tavern has come a long way from it's days as the only pub in a small country town. What they have done with the place is superb from the bistro, to the function room, to the beer garden. The menu is varied and all delicious and the staff are fantastic. A great place to stop and relax for a drink, quick bite or a relaxed dining experience.

Busy on a Tuesday night. Recommend booking ahead. Service was great, really friendly staff. Lots of menu choices including kids and half serves for seniors. Mum had the half serve roast and her plate was full.of food. She said it was delicious. My risotto was quite bland, but I saw lots of great dishes at other tables. Good value for money.

The Drake has had a recent upgrade and now has more open spaces for patrons to enjoy. The food here has always been good. Prices have increased and sometimes the seniors option is not as cheap as the mains with a senior's discount of 10%, so do your math before ordering if you are a senior. Service is always good and the meals generous and delicious. Can thoroughly recommend this hotel for a good meal. Enjoy 😁

I found the servers to be very polite and friendly, with generous portion sizes given for each of our meals. There were quite a lot of us at the table, and a few others in the restaurant but despite that we were served very quickly. My pulled pork burger was somewhat oily/messy but otherwise really enjoyable to eat. Reasonably priced and overall a delicious, fulfilling meal. My little brother recieved a free dessert (I think every meal on the kid's menu qualifies), and they managed to bring out my birthday cake without any issues. Overall a great experience, and I'd be happy to dine here again. Strongly recommend to anyone looking for a cheap but sizeable meal.

The staff are nice and beautiful. The service is good. The environment is cozy. I think this is one of the best restaurants near the Pakenham station. 4.5 stars should be given. 0.5 star is deducted as the steak is overdone. Next time I will order medium if I need medium well.

T’was a glorious night at the Tavern owned by Drake. We were mistakenly lead here thinking the singer/songwriter Drake owned this restaurant however despite our shortcomings, we had a wonderful visit with the Team-Squad. The bar-tress encouraged lemon and green lemons in my Pepsi Max, it was exquisitely zesty. We will return with more members of our Team-Squad for more fun filled giggle memories and hopefully to try the high spoken of beer. Recommended. Child friendly, as per photos:

Best pub meal we have ever had! Me & my husband eat out very regularly, and this is really the best pub meal, no pokies just honest and delicious food served in generous size. We have eaten in every single restaurant in Pakenham, Pakenham hotel is amongst the 3 top ones in the town in our list, It is the best value for money. Great staff and service, we love it so much it’s become our regular after work eatery place. Oh their date putting is the best! Can’t recommend highly enough!

Again, another dining success! I've realised the stir fry greens seem to come with many of the Drake dishes on offer...but I love them, so that is not a problem for me...the same as the balsamic dressing. I had Barramundi, and it was truly delicious, crispy skin and mouth melting flesh. You have to order meals and drinks from the counter and pay up front, but that is no biggie as it avoids 'split bill' confusion at the end of the meal. Great service, friendly staff, good food, fabulous ambience...love it...and there is plenty of parking available too.

Just had the best meal we've had in a long time. As Vegans we are used to chips and salad as our only option. Tonight we had a huge platter of delicious food. From Sri Lankan curry to Asian greens with fried lotus root and beetroot in between. Just delicious and great value for money too. Would recommend to anyone, Vegan or not.

I had no idea til I randomly booked a table that this place was at my fingertips! The food was delicious and the waitress was so personable and made an evening out even more enjoyable just because she was so friendly and delightful.

Prices are a bit high considering the service. Usually something like a parmigiana is only over $20 because of the service from the staff. In this case, walking to the kitchen to order and then the bar to buy drinks. The quality of the food is decent. I enjoyed my meal and the portion size was filling enough that there were leftovers afterwards. Without a takeaway license we were unable to take these expensive leftovers home. The most positive part is that the food felt fresher than the competitor, La Porchetta.

My first impression as a vegetarian was to be quite annoyed that they only offered 1 vegetarian option as a main on the menu (apart from a cheese toastie for $14.90). While placing my order, I told the staff member that I was disappointed by this, and he then went on to say that they can make most of the items on the menu into a vegetarian dish (which I doubt very much - for example, the fish and chips). I asked why they didn’t put that on the menu, and he said that it wouldn’t fit (really?). Anyway, while all this discussion was going on, there was someone behind me waiting, and I didn’t want to be “that person”, so I just went with the 1 option from the menu, the portobello mushroom burger. While I was pretty annoyed by this, I was actually pleasantly surprised to find that my meal was awesome - really tasty, but they still need more vegetarian options on the menu. It’s worth noting that they offered extensive gluten free options. They fairly regularly have good bands there too. There was an 80’s band the night I was there and they were pretty good.

Loved new renovations. Went for light lunch with my son, daughter in law and 2 grandchildren. Wanted a light lunch as we were going out for dinner. The lunch special menu was ideal. Good variety to chose from. Portions well sized. Glass of Wine or beer included in price. Children's meal good value $10.99 main good variety choices. + drink, dessert & a party bag which contained pack of 5 crayons little activity book, stickers & collecr cards. Grandies aged 2yrs & 8 mths shared the main. 2 year old loved the party bag (took it to dinner that night, kept her entetained) her dad finished off the ice cream.
