Food was amazing - great quality meats that are well prepared with great flavours and perfectseasoning. Service was efficient and super friendly. A great country pub feel in the bar and the restaurant has a more contemporary vibe. Sitting outside under the verandah on a sunny day is a must do. The fire pit in the evening is a great way to chat with travellers and locals. Oh..free camping here too.

Great little pub, beer cold as ice. Hot chips delicious with our beers. Beautiful building and surrounds. The pub has a very warm feel about it and the staff were friendly and delighted to serve us. Definitely a place to visit to have a meal or just enjoy a nice beverage inside or out.

We love going out to dinner here. The beer garden area is perfect for kids and friendly dogs. Our kids bring their soccer ball and play a match while we happily kick back enjoying whatever local bear they have on tap at the time. Beth and the staff are so friendly and accommodating and provide a really relaxed atmosphere, whilst also serving up delicious meals. Highly highly recommended if you're staying in the region or driving through.

Great food for a pub. Decent service. Food was a bit slow but nothing too bad. Brownie is recommended for dessert. Generally a fairly good experience. Edit; wait was understandable after response, if in area I recommend dining here!

Mother's day lunch and just paid normal pub prices. It was packed and a lively atmosphere but we didn't wait long and we all enjoyed our different meals. Staff friendly and service good. Given a complimentary glass of champagne too. Beats the prices they wanted down in Melbourne . Not posting pics as of family but look up their site for pics. Pub was built of bluestone in 1852

Feb 2022 - Greeted and served by friendly staff who provided a good, pleasant dining experience. Sat in refurbished dining room as verandah tables were all taken. Lambs fry was excellent, as was the chilli King Prawn spaghetti. Excellent atmosphere making it a worthwhile visit. Huge well set out beer garden next to the sizeable veggie garden. Great place to check out.

Rustic old bluestone pub, pretty much restored to it's former glory. A former Cobb & Co coach stop and pub in the 1800's one can only imagine what it must've been like sitting out the front having a beer in the day, (I assume it would've been very dusty). The beers are cold, great wines are also to be had and the meals are worth making the trip. A great dining experience either inside or my favourite spot out on the front verandah.

Great food, really nice staff and service. Atmosphere is lovely, a couple of really nice outdoor spots to sit on a nice day too. If you have a self contained vehicle you can also camp here (ask 1st).

We had booked, very important in these times, and very pleased to see that the young lady serving checked our IDs and made sure we had checked in. Good start !!!!!! Great to have local olives and fresh bread as starters. A very crisp local Riesling to complement. I wish more eating venues had olives to start. I was disappointed that some menu items were not available. Very happy with the fish and chips. Thank you to the wonderful young lady who looked after us, nothing was a problem and always a smile 😊

Great pub. Hubby said Parma was great. Too big for lunch... I had the risotto. Couldn't say I liked it.. There was a flavour that I didn't like and couldn't work out what it was. It was meant to have blue cheese and I asked for that to be removed... Maybe it was right through. He risotto and couldn't be removed....

I regularly stop for dinner on a Friday evening and food is always good but was there for lunch on Saturday 23rd June and the food and service was exceptional! We were seated by the open fire. 3 of us ordered the sirloin steak, medium rare and one had the king prawn spaghetti. We all had the sticky date pudding for dessert. Generous serve of sauce with both cream and icecream. The whole experience was fabulous. Thank you Redesdale Hotel again! Looking forward to my next experience there.

The publican/chef would have to be one of the nicest and friendliest blokes around. You always get a warm welcome, and the food is second to none. It has a great country feel. Would highly recommend this pub.

What a gem. After a day of drinking stunning Heathcote reds, pop in here for a refreshing ale and a pub meal up there with the best of em. (We went scotch fillet and a Guiness pie, both done to absolute perfection.) Warning: the verandah looks like it could go very nicely on a summer's day.

The staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed in the cottage. It had everything you could want. Cosy and comfortable. We had dinner on Saturday night. The dining room was fully booked. Fabulous find! gorgeous bluestone pub with vine shaded front verandah. Best pub food for miles and we've tried them all. Great local Heathcote and Barfold wines. Definitely worth a visit, easy day distance from Kyneton.

We have stopped at the Redesdale Hotel several times on our return trips from visiting Kyneton. The meals have always been nice. The wood fire was warm and added to the atmosphere on a couple of visits. We will certainly drop in again whist travelling through Redesdale.

A classic Country Locals Pub is Back! After being shut down for 3 years, the Redesdale have new owners that have put the locals first. No better stop on the Kyneton-Heathcote rd for a frosty one on the verandah, and with a classic pub menu of Steaks, Parma and Fish and Chips to fill you up. Arrive hungry. Make sure you book, as word has got out and the place gets packed. We had to wait for a table. But no hardship as Carlton on tap.
