High ceiling, spacious, quiet. The lighting was rather off putting, very dark with a tinge of yellow. Old style antiquey decor. Very nice pasta dishes. Large portions. Risotto was cooked nicely and fun to chew.

Fresh pasta and focaccia bread where the two main reasons I visited and two main things I enjoyed. The pasta sauces and meat were okay. The service was friendly but MIA a lot. I would go back simply for the homemade portions as well as the beautiful surroundings in a repurposed historical building.

Been here twice with different friends and very different experiences. First visit had linguine ragu, it was average. Nothing bad, nothing great. Lighting was very dim and it was hard to read the menus. Service was ok. Most recent visit, lighting was cosy but not too dim, had the calamari, 200g sirloin, lasagne, amateiciana, side of asparagus and desserts (lemon cheesecake cannoli, salted caramel donuts) with coffee. The food was all delicious. My sirloin was medium as asked for, beautifully browned and flavoursome on the outside, juicy inside. Service was friendly, prompt and professional. Menu was a little pricey but we had a discount for 50% off all food. Huge difference between the 2 experiences. The most recent experience was great and recommend for catching up with close friends or for a date.

Such an amazing historic building, great for events. I attended the Melbourne business Networking event with the Lord Mayor as speaker. After we had drinks at the bar and I found the waiter to be very professional.

Menu here is great - the atmosphere is like stepping back in time with its large airy space and old world charm, but still feels contemporary. The staff are very good, friendly and helpful. The $25 pasta and glass of wine lunch special is great.

Beautiful Venue. The food was amazing. Some authentic Italian dishes with homemade pastas. Very few places actually make their own Pastas. The wine list has a range of wines from pretty much every region in Australia. Sure to return to this place.

This place was terrific! The atmosphere was nice, the service great, and the food was wonderful. I did notice lots of hard surfaces and can imagine this place might be loud when crowded, but we went early and it was nice and quiet. This was a wonderful place for nice dinner out, and we'll be back.

Good food, friendly staff, and a wonderful wine selection made for an admirable dining experience. If you're looking for traditional Italian this is a great choice! The one drawback is the noise. The acoustics do not lend to a quiet romantic atmosphere.

Heritage building and decent Italian menu, perhaps better suited to functions than restaurant dining. The salmon dish was unfortunately an experimental failure, so I would recommend staying with the a la carte options. Whilst the service was OK, I wonder if it would be adequate at busier times.

Good drinks and a lovely atmosphere, but the food's nothing special. For the cost, you're better going somewhere else. Pet Peeve: We asked them if this was a place suitable for uni students, given that costs were of concern (we made this clear). There was blatant lying in their response...

A good restaurant in a very 'melbourne' venue. The food is relatively delicious but a little bit under seasoned for my liking. Service is good and the price point for what is available is decent also.

Cannot beat the venue. Old heritage building, high ceiling and exposed internal columns. Not a ton of beers on tap, but white rabbit dark ale in winter gets you the dark ale fix you need. Cocktails are also good, try an old fashioned (ask for rye whisky of course unless you're a hapless bourbon fiend- ew).

Came here mid week for dinner on 50% off from The Fork (Dimmi) deal. Used to be an old bank which is quite spacious and has very high ceilings. Service was okay but slower than expected. Food was a let down. Steak came our less warmer than expected and only consists from rocket and parmesan on the side. Pasta was average. No sauce with the steak, so purely just meat and salad. The ice cream from the affogato was the normal vanilla ice cream from the supermarket not the one that has vanilla beans.
