Topolinos is my kitchen away from home. Fresh food, a huge range of dishes available on the menu and fabulous seafood. Whether you feel like pasta, pizza, seafood or traditional meals, they have it all. I eat in the restaurant or order takeaway. Both are terrific options. Fast service, tasty and wholesome food.... so glad I live close by!

I love Topolino's and I recently went there with my family after not being there for over 20 years (when I used to live in St Kilda, now being a Sydney Sider). It was better than I remembered and the staff we're wonderful and we loved the food. I can't wait till I get back there on my next Melbourne visit!

Open till late, friendly service, and great pizzas. I loved the seafood pizza (tastiest I've had!) And the 5 cheese pizza was good too. Beers and ciders are well priced. We will be coming back, thanks for looking after us and serving us dinner at midnight!

The food here is amazing. My wife and I always come here as our "go-to" pizza & pasta place even though we live 40 mins away. They make the vegetarian options on the menu NOT boring and we enjoy it every time. Both indoor and outdoor seating are at a comfortable setting. Customer service is good :)

Between the small and the large…not all that much different in size but more than double the cost. Weird. Other than that, delicious.

A Melbourne institution. Great mood and food. I introduced my two grown up kids to Topolino's today and the service, location and food certainly didn't disappoint... I ordered the "legendary" (in my book) Mexican Pizza, a Deluxe Pizza for my son, the Greek Calamari salad for my daughter and a green Rocket & Parmesan salad to share - all absolutely delicious. The Greek Calamari salad was a standout! We accompanied the meal with a couple of house Reds, which were perfect, complete with a slightly sweet after note. We couldn't face sweets and coffee due to the generous portion sizes, and I ended up taking half my large pizza home... Yum! Next time we will share more and get into the great sounding deserts and of course coffee. Apparently, this place has been family owned by the same man for 48 years, and the reputation in my humble continues to be strong for good reason. An easy 5 STARS! Easy!

If you ask a St Kilda local where to go for the best pizza they will say Topolino’s ~ and I agree! It’s a family based pizzeria that has been there longer than I’ve been alive, the place is rich in st Kilda history, just look at the framed photos on the walls and speak to the godfather of St Kilda and he will tell you some of the history based on the photos on his wall. We are thankful to Topolinos for keeping our bellies full during the melbourne lockdowns. Support local anyway you can.

What an amazing afternoon we had at Topolino's, went there to have lunch with my family and the food + customer service we received was excellent. We were greeted with a smile, served with nice and fresh food and we were thanked for our visit. This place is a must go if you love authentic Italian food, the pizzas, the pastas and the deserts were all A+. This place is 30 years old but still in a good shape to be that old. Huge dining area with a small bar as well. They are open till late, just be mindful of parking, it could be challenging to find a parking spot, depending on what day and time you want to visit, you may find parking in the close by streets. This place is highly recommended for all you food lovers. Delicious food comes here with excellent customer service.

I've been loving Topolinos Italian Restaurant for over 20 years! The Pizza is simply brilliant and the range is unique from favourites with a twist to everything gourmet! The pasta is divine and on the odd occasion when im on a keto health kick the range of fresh salads with amazing add on meats is delicious, filling and healthy. If your in St Kilda or thinking of visiting the area 100% this is the only eatery you need to visit. Enjoy the Fitzroy Street Catwalk and sit outside or enjoy the warm and cosy inside zones for a more private and authentic meal.

Fantastic place to bring the whole family or friends. From the street you dont realize how big this place is until you walk inside. Its huge and always busy. This was our first time here and as a family we all really enjoyed all our meals from lasagna, to pizza ro chicken salads. Staff were attentive, friendly and nothing seemed too hard for them...

Pizzas were everything that the 'ratings' boast of, perfectly crisp, baked and loaded with meat and cheese, we have become huge fans of Topolino's pizzas. One might complain about authenticity but come-on, Pizzas are Pizzas, either good or bad, and they are definitely one among the few bests. And guess what? Easy on pocket too!!

It's a big place so I'd suggest ordering drinks whenever your waiter is there, don't wait for your glass to be emtpy. I love love love the pizza and that's all I eat. I get the family size so I can take a slice or two home for midnight snacking. My wife loves the pasta dishes!

Blast from the past, an institution I introduced my kids to after having not been there for about 15 years. Wow, what an extensive menu! There is not just something for everyone here, there's multiple options. I'm from a hospo background and couldn't believe what was on offer. Poor chefs!!! I MISS EATING HERE! now that the 5km radius was implemented I haven’t been able to return because I live an hour away. Yes I drive an hour once a week to eat at topolinos! The grilled calamari was so soft and tender the flavours were light yet there we loved it. The grilled calamari salad was nice too only that the actual salad itself was too bland there was no olive oil in the salad it was like I was eating a salad that was washed under the tap and thrown into the bowl. The cheese in the salad was really nice though. I loved the musicians with their jazz they were a beautiful touch to a nice restaurant and a nice night out. The council there need to shape the street up. Such a beautiful restaurant shouldn't have to be in a street that looks like well awful. Get the homeless into homes it breaks my heart seeing them sleeping on the street and the call girls need a shake up too i don't appreciate them been in our face and calling out to us we were with family friends and our partners I for felt like we were in trash city

Reading all the negative reviews and I’m actually surprised, this restaurant is one of the best in Melbourne. We have never been disappointed in terms of food and service. Very quickly became a favourite spot as we fell in love with the super friendly staff and delicious food which always tastes delicious and always arrives to our table in a very reasonable time, whether busy or quiet. The food is ALWAYS good. Started coming here over 25 years ago and still coming back. Used to always have the pizza, which is sensational. I like The Lott because I really can't make up my mind, and they do it sensationally with both anchovies and pineapple, and garlic as well as everything else. But they have a cheesy garlic pizza which is the stuff obsessions are made of - you just can't have too much garlic. Now here is the problem, I came with a bunch of friends and they started ordering off the other side of the menu - spaghetti marinara, seafood and someone even ordered steak - each and every dish was just as good if not better than the pizza. Don't want to come every day, but there is so much good stuff, and even though I have been enjoying the pizza for decades, it is still hard to go past too. The staff is always friendly and lovely, nothing is too much trouble. The prices are very reasonable and it is definitely a good choice for any type of meal. My mother ordered strawberry crepes for desert one day (yes, after the steak, which she loved and ate every mouthful of together with the awesome mashed potatoes), and she ate every bit of the crepes as well - when it's good, it's good folks. Highly, highly recommend !

Food was excellent. Service was even better. We had pizza, generous sizes lots of toppings, tasted great. Servers were friendly, were always about, yet I didn't feel like they were lurking. Also, they didn't make us feel like we needed to hurry. Cleared dishes promptly. Offered more drinks, different drinks and to box up the leftovers. Also seemed to stealthily clean tables, I swear that in the time we were there they turned over the three tables around us and I didn't see them do it. Yet they were suddenly reset.

Best pizza ever and I have tasted many all over the world. Been patronizing for over 30 years since I was a teen. The ambiance and character of the place has never changed. Its open really late and I love to stop by here on the way back from the airport in the evening. Parking can be a hassle but well worth the effort. If you are lucky enough to get a window seat or a table outside its a treat watching the world of Fitzroy Street just pass by. They do short order meals as well but its the pizza that's that star at this venue.

Delicious food, generous portion sizes and exceptional prices! This is my go-to restaurant when taking family and friends out. Haven't tried the pizzas, but definitely one of the best parmigianas I've had, and the steaks and pastas are great as well. Service isn't always 100%, but it's not a big deal if you have a bit of patience. Glasses and cutlery aren't always perfectly clean either. Some nights, there will be one girl looking after us the entire time, other times there'll be more than one and they seem to get a bit mixed up when this happens - forgetting cutlery or taking too long to serve us. The manager is very helpful and friendly, however, and I think the quality of the food makes up for these shortcomings.

Came here with a friend and ordered two dishes. One was a pizza (ravinata) and the other chili mussels. The people have served us were really nice and friendly. The chili mussels came first and the sauce was extremely delicious. It was well spiced and full of flavour, though the bread that came with it was a bit dry and stale. The pizza on the other tasted a bit odd. Maybe because the flavour of the cheese was a bit too strong for our liking. Even so, the chicken was a bit dry. Would highly recommend the chili mussels.

What a fantastic restaurant! The staff are gorgeous and as soon as I arrived, they made me feel very welcome and made sure I was comfortable at my table. Their food is TOP notch! Like 5 star quality! The chicken n cherry tomtato with basil pesto was just soooo good! Thick and tasty and the chicken was REAL chicken, beautifully cooked too. Then I had the caramel n choc tart and oh wow! It was so good, home made and true caramel, not like those u see in normal cake shops that are factory made. Topolino's caramel choc tart was the best! Went to Topo's for my farewell party, loved the lively atmosphere and the jazz quo playing near the bar. Everyone was happy and chatting loudly, making for quite a casual, chilled environment. Food took awhile but considering it was a busy sat night, we didn't mind it that much, as I assumed their practice would have been to serve up everyone's meals hot and fresh at the same time, which they did! Food was amazing, ingredients were fresh, pizza toppings were generous and pasta was perfect, right down to the last mouthful! Service from the staff were on point, friendly and ever so courteous, especially the manager with the newsboy cap. Famed Fitzroy Street in St Kilda used to be a place where hotel rooms were rented by the hour. That all changed when the Australian F1 Grand Prix took up residence across the road in 1996; it got funky, fashionable, fun and fabulous. For a decade every other shopfront in Fitzroy Street was an eatery and they were all worth a trying. Alas trends come and go and Fitzroy Streets' star has waned. But Melbourne, a city blessed by the best of diverse ethnic foods and Topolino's is going strong as beacon shining from the Italian corner of that diversity. The value is good, the menu is predictable but with splashes of fun , the service is great and the food quality is exactly what it should be. There is a reason Topolinio's still prospers in this malleable streetscape.

Food great but generally poor service The food at this St Kilda staple is plentiful and moorish, at a decent price. But, you usually have to put up with fairly ordinary service. It seems Topolinos tends to hire unmotivated backpackers who, unsurprisingly, don't seem to care whether you've got the correct food or drink order, or if your food has actually arrived. I was a backpacker, I know what it's like working with a hangover (and still do). That said, there are a few gems who provide phenomenal service, but the gamble means that this is more a place for people who have the time and patience to wait, instead of whether you're trying to impress a date, colleagues or the in-laws.

Mixed feelings!! Restaurant and staff are very good and very busy. I enjoyed my meal but my husband did not. He was disappointed his veal scallopine didn't come with a Rossi sauce, but I did explain to him the mushroom sauce he did get was more authentic. However, what spoilt our experience was a group of children using the area as a playground, playing tiggy and hide and seek in and out of the tables and chairs, and not quietly either, Neither their parents or the staff seemed to think this was inappropriate behaviour, but eventually a man did tell them to stop, which they totally ignored, and continued to scream around patrons trying to eat and talk etc. It totally spoilt our wedding anniversary celebrations, and Im sure by the looks on the faces of other patrons, theirs as well. We wouldn't bother going there again.

I have been a patron of this place for many years since 2005. Love their spaghetti marinara supremo del mare as the seafood are very fresh and the sauce is just full flavoured. The Pizzas are excellent as they are very well made - Pollo, the lot, and some of the gourmet ones that I have had. Today, my camera's external flash fell out of the bag in one of my favourite spots for pasta and pizza, Topolino's (St Kilda). Called them up many hours later and they said they have it. Got there to pick it up and they were so sweet to have a piece of paper indicating what time it was found and which table it fell off from (I would assume that the flash had dropped out very nearby my table). Very glad to be in a place with responsible people. Cheers, Topolino's!

Food is always excellent here, which is lucky because the service is never great. Good customer service is non-existent; rather staff simply go through the motions of the formalities of their job. Would be a fun place to be at if staff were nicer, rather than being a place to get the food down and leave.
