Only downside was the Salmon came by itself with a side of peas. But everything else was delightful. 👌

Staff are just fantastic. Every time I come they are lovely, accommodating and available when I need them. The food always seems to have a problem, and isn't really great, often over salted and over sauced. But then it's not overpriced, and it's so friendly for the kids so I put up with cold toast and oversalted food, for how easy it is.

Love having a great quality Cafe in Greensborough, have been going for many years now and have always enjoyed the coffee and food has been very good. Great place to have a take away food (in lockdown period). They make fresh toasties with gluten free bread. Coffee was nice and strong. Kitchen opens at 1700 for fresh food. Plenty of parking at the plaza and on side street. Staff needs to be little bit more friendly while serving.

Had a fantastic pizza here last night it was perfect in every aspect it tasted absolutely fresh and the ingredients were high quality! Our waitress Esta was really super! she was friendly and on the ball even when it got busy she made sure we were well looked after and made us feel really at home. The owner Emmanuel was the same and very friendly and just a genuine good bloke to chat with. Atmosphere was good its a nice modern clean restsurant, comfortable and chic the tables are spaced nicely not squashed. A good selection of main dishes some of the parmas looked incredible! Plenty of good beers and on tap as well plus an extensive wine list. It's gotta be the pic of the bunch in Greensborough! 10/10

The only reason why I don't give Urban Grooves 5 stars is due to their delivery with ubereats, allow me to explain. Going to Urban Grooves you will be greeted by the friendliest staff and the warmest decor and have the most delicious food. I highly recommend going on a weekday, they tend to be very busy on a Sunday. However, if you were to order via ubereats, it is a hit and miss that you will receive your whole order. At least 6 different times I have not received my full order, which could be due to the staff being very busy or not reading the ticket fully.

This restaurant is a very trendy, well appointed place. Like many, they offer table service but Grooves were a great deal more attentive to our group of eight. The menu offers a great selection with some tasty vegetarian dishes to satisfy most pallets. This was our first time at Urban Grooves, but it won't be our last.

Five stars are hard to earn, however this restaurant has made the grade with ease. Very well mannered and efficient staff set the scene for a most enjoyable experience. A varied menu of the traditional favourites are on offer with excellent specials available daily. The duck risotto was a standout on our visit. Nothing like a cold pint of Carlton Draught to quench the thirst, not to mention the really good espresso Martinis. Do yourself a favour and pop in.

Ever in Greensborough and you want an amazing cafe experience? Go here. I moved to the area before lockdown and was stuck working from home for the whole time. This cafe and its amazing staff kept me sane with their amazing services and the experience of getting my morning coffee. Had dinner and drinks there tonight as the 1st outing since regaining my freedom, and by god was it an amazing service. The food was amazing, the cocktails were amazing and the staff were absolute gems. In this weird time that we are all in, these guys have adapted and flourished in the new world we are into today and the old world that we are all used to of escaping our lives through dining/drinking out with people. I highly recommend them if you find yourself in the area.

Great Place, I know we will be back. Very friendly staff, so relaxed and down to earth. Surprised at how super fast the service and the food was so amazing. happily ate every last bit on the plate and that's unusual for me. Also the outdoor heating is fantastic, so warm. I wouldn't have minded the 80c extra they charged me for almond milk in my medium latte', if they actually knew how to prepare it. Definitely won't be going back, even though it's local. @5:30pm 27/08/17 EDIT 05/11/21: I'm a bit disappointed in myself that I forgot to update my review several years ago. Urban Grooves later got in contact with me about it and sent out several free coffee coupons promptly to give them another go. The manger was a very friendly individual. I was highly encouraged to bring my coffees back if I wasn't satisfied to receive a remake/refund. In reference to my original post, almond milk I believe has a lower temperature threshold, so it's a lot easier to burn than regular if the barista isn't ready for it. Yes, I had a bad experience that first time, but my overall experiences following that time average everything out to 4.5 stars. (a bonus half star because it took me so long to change this review)

Had a wonderful pizza here a few weeks ago. Very quiet if you get a table up the back which is great. Kid friendly (I spotted some highchairs). The only thing that would make it better would be a tastier gluten free base as my mums pizza wasn't as good as mine was which is a shame (we ordered the same thing but mine bad wheat). It can be hard to find a good gluten free pizza though, I'm sure she will try again in the future.

I went here for a late dinner last night at around 8pm with a group of five and had a fantastic experience. They seated us quickly, and brought food very quickly. The three of us who ate all commented on how the food was of great quality, and delicious too! I wanted to make a special mention of two staff members who were so diligent in their work that they made our experience even better! Firstly the bartender, who picked up that the post mix machine was out of syrup and replaced the singular affected drink immediately. Secondly the waitress who understood what "a pregnant lady amount of pickles on my burger" meant, and then (without prompting) returned to let me know that the tartare sauce I'd requested had raw eggs in it. This was noticed and incredibly valued by myself and those I was dining with and the fact that she was so conscientious in looking out for the safety of my unborn child will be something I value for a very long time. If you have any kind of customer service awards or customer service incentives for your staff, I would like her to receive some kind of acknowledgement for this. There is no way she could have known that I've lost children in the past, and having such a positive experience at your restaurant will be something I pass on to others.

Enormous serving sizes for main meals. Quick service with a smile. Our waitress was terrific with her turquoise finger nails. Good attitude and attention to detail. Main meal pricing might seem steep but the sizing is well worth it.

In my 30 years of Customer Service experience and training, if I had a video camera I would have had so many great examples of what great service looks like. Warm smiles, no request too great. Continual asking if we need anything else, as well if everything was to our liking. The team was vibrant and pleasure to witness in action. If you want good food and a good experience, don't go here. If you want sensational food and a warm inviting atmosphere, this is the place. From the moment we were seated the friendly staff were helping us to decide from the exciting menu. The cocktails were superb. The trio of dips as an entree is a must, it's enough for a party of four, let alone the two of us. Well prepared and a taste sensation. The Atlantic salmon was prepared to perfection and the prawn and lobster ravioli was heavenly (even though the prawns were overcooked to slightly tough) it was still a brilliant dish which is remembered fondly. All in all, this is a great casual dining experience that can be a regular getaway to enjoy 5 star dining at a local, well kept open secret.

Just had breakfast here with my dad . I stuffed up by ordering the Canadian breakfast when I don't like too much sweetness, not realising how much maple syrup came with it. When I only ate half of it, who I assume to be the manager or owner came out and offered a complimentary meal or drink to compensate for what was undeniably my mistake. Considering the other meal was fine, this kind of service is above and beyond in my experience.

The only only only thing I can’t fault them on is the prosciutto wrapped scallops. Prosciutto is far too strong especially once grilled for the delicate tastes of a scallop. Please just take off the prosciutto or use a tiny sliver of it instead of so much. Scallops are jewels of the sea and don’t need to be messed with.

Firstly it looks GREAT, The decor really matches the theme and the name. It was busy which is definitely a good sign, my friend lives in the area and raved on about it so I shouted her to dinner on a Sunday night. We ordered the Flat head fish, grilled from the mains menu. It came with thick steak chips and a tartar sauce and tomato sauce, the fish was A-MA-ZING! The taste changed as i ate different parts of the fish, no bones and great seasoning. The salad was fresh with a nice balsamic vinegar dressing and not overpowering, the serving was huge and great considering it was (i think) $26, it was big enough for us to share because there were 2 pieces of fish! I did purchase wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce for (I think) about $9 but ended up taking them home because I didn't realise how big the servings were and assumed we would need some extra food if the fish meal was small, but both meals were large. The drink I ordered was an iced mocha which I really enjoyed because It was sweet enough for me, usually at other cafe's they aren't as sweet. My friend ordered the fruit smoothie with both fruits, unfortunately it was not as nice, she said it tasted artificial and there was a hair in it, I told them about the hair and the staff member was apologetic and understanding but my friend was so full she didn't even want a replacement. - The hair didn't bother us because we're all human and it happens from time to time. Next time we intend on trying some other exciting looking dishes on the menu. The staff and the owner Emmanuel were all too happy to help out and share a joke or two, fantastic atmosphere and a great team. food came out very promptly considering how busy it was, The staff work very well together, part of its success I believe is due to great communication and great staff choice. The owner Emmanuel is very welcoming and funny, which makes it very easy to come back and know we will be looked after, it is refreshing to see an owner building rapport with customers but also to see him behind the bar working his butt off to help things run smoothly. I needed to use the bathroom and got a little confused as the doors weren't labelled, however, the bathrooms looked just like you were using the bathroom at your own home! in fact, nicer than my home bathroom, yes ladies there is a large mirror. I would also like to add, out the front it is very warm so next time I will be sitting out there because the heaters work so well. The owner also mentioned it was open until 12, my goodness! If I lived in this area I would definitely make this spot my regular! I can see why they have many loyal customers and why my friend raved on about it, I am 100% satisfied and eager to return for another slice of this urban groove.

Urban grooves is a staple in the Greensborough area. As a mortgage broker, I find it an ideal place to meet with clients. It has a great feel about it, plenty of seating outdoors as well. The staff are always friendly and right there to top up drinks and take new orders. Great service and quality food and drink make Urban Grooves THE place to catch up with anybody for a meal or drink at any time of the day.

Urban Grooves is part of the Greensborough restaurant/café scene "furniture" after being established many many years ago. It's changed hands a few times since then but it has remained a popular destination for singles, couples and groups of friends/colleagues to go for a coffee, drink or a bite to eat. Nothing about this place will blow you away, but you will always get a consistently decent coffee and the food is of a very good standard.
