It’s a nice place but overrated. Crispy egg was nice, salad was fresh and well balanced, but the sweet potato purée was too sweet must added sugar. The pastries were bit disappointing, they were doughy, no crunch on the outside, the pistachio filling just look like artificial and taste artificial too. Coffee was average… sorry :(

Staffs were very nice and accommodating. Overall nice environment and comfortable settings. The crispy egg breakfast was good, particularly the balsamic vinegar was a beautiful touch to the dish. But the pastry and coffee were average. The croissant was the doughy and weren’t very buttery on the taste. The batch brew was lukewarm when served and long black was over extracted. Will be back for breakfast but hopefully the coffee quality could improve.

First of all, the interior is definitely one of the best in Melbourne. I fell in love immediately on my first visit. Food quality was absolutely divine and they were very generous with the portions. My favourite dish gotta be their beef cheek toastie. Everything was well-balanced and the tanginess of kimchi just cut through the sandwich. The other star was the chicken burger! That was the most succulent and flavoursome chicken I have had. The chips were equally amazing!! I would say their savour dishes outstripped the sweet ones. French toast was a bit soggy and the pastries were slightly too chewy for my liking but the flavour was definitely on point! No doubt this is a top 5 on my list!

We’ve dined in and taken away so many times from this cafe and it has been a joy every single time. The almond and lemon croissant is our favorite as it’s always freshly made that’s so fluffy and just and just the right balance of sweet and sour. The toasties are also so delicious too and different to other toasties too with unique recipes. And lastly the interiors of this cafe brings us back to Italy! It’s classy and elegant in design that’s very instagram worthy. Highly recommend dining at the cafe for brunch!!!

The ambience was lovely and service was also attentive. We ordered our usual flat white, matcha latte with almond milk and the crispy eggs and ham hock and cleared our plates, not a crumb left behind. Probably the only thing I didn't enjoy much was the matcha latte as the powder they used must've had sugar in it already. Kudos for how well it was made though, just prefer not to have sugar. Overall...a great experience.

While the Scottish eggs were good, the beef brisket toastie & eggplant toasties people were raving about was very oily and average. Tried several of their baked goods including ham & cheese croissants, cinammon roll & normal croissant & danish, the ham & cheese croissant was nice heated, although the other ones were not heated enough so it was slightly warm inside and cold on the outside. Cute place but reckon it was understaffed too.

I had nice crumbed eggplant toastie for quick breakfast. I like the interior and food. Interestingly, there are lots of cafes that look like Via Porta in the inner suburbs of Tokyo. I went back to the cafe for 🌶 chilli crab scrambled egg - with real crab meat. It was delicious, but Shiitake was a bit too salty for me.

Over heard about this well decorated cafe a lot. Finally got to checkout and turned out fabulous. Decent coffee with authentic crumble eggplant toastie which was awesome and amazing. Very warm service too. If you want to shop Italian deli, definitely can do it in one shot. Just keep in mind that early morning parking could be a bit tricky.

This is a bustling little cafe! If you don't want to wait for a seat on the weekend then I suggest coming early. But if you have to wait, be sure to order a coffee while you do because it's so good you will want a second. The layout is open and airy and it has an Italian deli vibe. The staff are friendly despite being obviously busy. Its a very bread and carb heavy menu so make sure thats what you feel like before going. The smashed avo was good but the fried chicken burger and that was our favourite.

The only downside is that there's no bookings, you just have to put your name on the wait-list and wait around the cafe until your name gets called out for dine-in. Their cafe crema is something that's unique to VP and would definitely go back for it (and the food of course!)

The first thing you notice when you walk in is what a great design this place has. It's both warm and airy, spacious and comfortable looking. It's always busy when we go, and it's clear why. The food is amazing and the service is attentive and considerate. I'm not a big French Toast fan, but here it is an amazing dish: light, fluffy and luscious.

Really great experience for lunch. Professional and friendly staff, place is really nice (even the toilet), and most of all, the food is great. I had the fried chicken burger bun with an oversized fillet, my wife had the beef brisket and kimchi toastie, which she really enjoyed. The sauce on the burger was great, and the chips were nice and crunchy.

Beautiful space. The interior designers have done a fantastic job. Good mix of gourmet foods with a cafe style environment. We had a delicious prana chai tea and a cookie and both were excellent. Very friendly staff as well. Will be back.

Little coffee shop about 1km from Box Hill along Whitehorse road, inset amongst a couple trade stores, you wouldn't notice it, apart from the queue of people clammering for their Sunday brunch and coffee. Really good bakery on site, produces amazing croissants. Second only to Lune in CBD. We had 3 ham and cheese croissants and they were so crispy on top, the ham and cheese was baked inside. They have a deli section with awesome meats, tiramisu, take home lasagne plus lots of other meals. Shame we're still in lockdown and had to eat at home. Wife said the coffee was good too (I don't do coffee, so can only judge based on chai). If I was to have 1 bad point, we were asked the sizes, and chose large, but the cups seemed a regular size. Otherwise it was very good. Will definitely go back.

Sunday brunch. Got there around 12:30pm and was a 15ish minute wait for a table. We ended up ordering toasties and sharing. Selected were the Porchetta, smashed Broccoli, chilli with garlic mayo. Brisket, spicy kimchi, broccoli and cheese. Got a side of chips and aioli. We absolutely devoured both toasties. The bread was top quality, both fillings nice and generous. Coffees were well made and strong. I will definitely be back as everything on the menu sounded delicious. Do recommend!

Lovely pastries and brunch meals. During COVID we have popped in for takeaway a few times. Recommend ordering ahead for the next day online or phoning the shop to make sure they have the pastries aside as they often sell out early!

New cafe. We had lunch. Beef burger was $23.00 and very ordinary. It was barely warm on arrival and the meat patty appeared to be mass produced. The chips it came with were excellent. My partner had the falafel dish which was excellent being moist and nicely spiced. Coffee was very good.

Gorgeous little place. Reminds me of Santorini. Beautiful interior and I love the little Deli, we ended up buying a few things including the tiramisu (its a must). surprisingly cheaper than expected given their quality. We had the French Toast and the feta omelette with brioche bread + a feta and potato croquette (you must order one of these) we devoured everything. it was phenomenal. will be back once their liquor license is approved. Hoping they'll have pasta available in the summer months.

When the queue was out the door for lunch on a weekday I must admit I had high expectations. Unfortunately, the food did not warrant the wait. We had the fried chicken and the falafel salad which were both just ok. Nothing special, just average and over priced for what it was. With so many other cafes in the area, I won't bother to return.

The prebrewed tea too strong. I like to have control over the brewing process. I had to ask for hot water on the sude to dilute. The 'plain' croissant was glazed with sweet coating. If i had wanted a dolce i would have asked 4 one. Overstaffed and overpriced. The seating was okay but a south facing window with canopy didn't promote natural light.
