Had lunch there yesterday our second time on a Sunday. A great varied menu and drinks list. Food is great and service is very good with lovely friendly staff. It was lovely after lunch to go out into the beer garden and listen to the live band until 5pm. We had a great day.

We had a small family gathering at the Yarragon Hotel for lunch to celebrate a new member’s first birthday. Some members hadn’t yet met her because of COVID-caused circumstances. It was a wonderful day made more so by the friendliness, politeness and efficiency of the staff. A high chair was offered and provided without having to ask; plates and cutlery provided for our own brought cake, again, without having to ask -even a match to light the candle! We were all made to feel most welcomed. All the meals were wonderful. Overall, a terrific day made very special because of the staff. What amazing ambassadors for the Yarragon Hotel. Highly recommend; can’t wait to go back.

Had a great lunch at the pub last Sunday in the beer garden. My friend and I had the calamari - lovely. It was so nice to be able to sit back, relax and actually feel grass under my feet. Can highly recommend this great venue.

My friend and I had dinner here last Thursday. We both had the salmon, polenta and steamed greens. It was the most delicious dish! The service was great with a welcoming and attentive staff. We enjoyed a delightful dining experience!

Love the shops at Yarragon, lovely country town. The shops are quite unique. The meal at the Yarragon Hotel was cooked to perfection, so tasty. Foodies out for lunch: The whole dinning experience was very welcoming. From making our booking to follow-up after our visit. Excellent covid protocol in place, checking certificates and all staff masked. The venue looks fresh and has a wow factor with clothed tabled not often seen for a lunch service in other venues. The menu, although hotel style, flat double-sided A4 and laminated, gives the diner a good cross section of foods available, with the drinks menu on the reverse side. Cocktails are offered on a small table menu. All food prices are comparable with other local hotel locations. Table service, (excellent) you don't have to decide how hungry you are prior and go up order and pay for your meal before you eat, I hate that. There is not auction at the table when it's served, eg: "Who's having!" Food was delicious and more than ample for a lunch. I hate feeling bloated after a meal. You eat with your eyes and the food was appealing, I did follow my burger with a famous slice of the carrot cake and it was to die for, so fresh and moist. Simply put the whole experience to me was superior and I would choose this venue over our own local, albeit a good 20 minute drive away. To step it up and I'm finding it hard to think of something, but I would look at maybe offering an better menu presentation, perhaps in a A5 binder. Keep up the great work team !

One of our favourite places to eat. Always fantastic. From a drink in the bar when passing or in the dining room. Silver service, amazing food, efficient, friendly, staff in every area. Do yourself a favour and book for a meal. You won't regret it. You'll return too.

We were in for a work lunch. The staff were efficient and there was no delay with our food coming to us even though there were a few people in for lunch. I had the fish and chips, it was mouth watering and left me wanting more when I had finished my meal. We cannot wait to go back for another meal.

We love love love this pub! It’s been an almost annual visit for the family on our return drive from the far south coast of NSW & it never disappoints! In fact I rate it super highly - pizzas tasty but the a La carte menu offers something for everyone from pub classic to bistro offerings. interesting wine list alongside staple tap beers this is a must visit watering hole for anyone in east Gippsland region. Highly recommend.

Had a lovely lunch on way through to east gippsland. Seafood pasta was outstanding as was the vegetarian spagetti. Our older friends ordered the pork roast of the day which was a gigantic serve with "crackling" which had lost its crackle. Nevertheless, service was pleasant and efficient and we would unhesitatingly return.

Now don't get me wrong dear reader, I cannot fault the food, or even the staff here. The problem is that they're a destination venue and they charge accordingly. So there's absolutely NO excuse to wait 50 minutes for our lunch. Yes, it was a public holiday, and yes, this place was busy. But they should be staffed for that and ensuring that paying customers are not made to wait 50 minutes for a bowl of chips, a bruschetta and a pumpkin risotto.

I rarely ever enjoy burgers as much as I did this one. If you’re going down Princes Highway and crossing Yarragon. This dish alone is worth stopping here for. The staff was sweet and the pub itself feels very roomy with a large smoking area in the back. The chips could have more seasoning on them but the sauce that they gave with the chips more than makes up for it. The five stars are definitely coz of the Burger.

Very lovely place. Friend and i visiting the area were seated right away, despite not having a booking (i did forget about that!) Great placr to chill out, either inside or out. Have lunch here regularly with a friend and love their food and general atmosphere. Reasonably priced and a good selection of meals. They have a good pool table which is always used by us lol. Also have a jukebox which disappointingly is not always on and sometimes when we've requested to use it the boss has in not so many words expressed reluctance to put it on for what I gather is the fear of "upsetting" the older patrons out the back who are having lunch and don't want to be subject to lots of pop and hard rock! On one occasion recently they had some other piped music playing when we got there and it was mostly swing genre with one old blues tune slotted in. My friend commented that it was driving him mad but we didn't dare object. On a Fri or Sat night I think the tables would be turned where the music selection would be more in keeping with the younger crowd who would be there playing lots of pool and drinking!

We (my wife and I) often find ourselves driving around the Gippsland region on weekends. Driving for the sake of driving with the promise of a hearty lunch in the country. More often than not, our lunch pitstop ends up being Yarragon and specifically the Yarragon hotel. Nice and cozy interiors and pretty decent food. We love their roast lunches - the meat is rightly done and very filling. The wait-staff are great and a friendly bunch. There is almost always a bunch of locals having a get-together in the restaurant and that adds to the atmosphere. :)
