Absolutely amazing food! Was super excited to try this and it certainly didn’t disappoint. I don’t tend to have too much Pakistani cuisine but I’ll definitely be back as the it was all super delicious and flavourful!
We could also see / tell they used a lot of spices, herbs and garlic and ginger!!

We were recommended this restaurant by a friend. As we flew in late it was very convenient that Ziyka was open late. The food was fantastic and the staff great. The energy in the restaurant was also great with every table full of life. Simply everything we could of asked for.

Loved the food. For me, it was a bit crowded but had good time having good food with family and friends. We ordered kebabs, chicken ginger, chicken shinwari, with plain nan and roti. All in all good experience.

Best Pakistani food experience in Australia. Everything we ordered was as authentic as a typical Lahore restaurant. Very busy place though but once we got the table, rest was a very good experience. A bit wait to order the food but it is normal for such a busy place.

Overall the food and their customer service was good. I ordered non-veg platter, mutton pulav, garlic naan (bread), and chicken tikka masala. Naan was so soft and the gravy was top notch. If not for the dessert, I would have given 5 stars. I ordered Rasamalai (Dessert) which was tasting bit old. Their ambience is good, I would definitely recommend this Pakistani restaurant for dine-in, but be mindful while ordering the deserts.

Visited on 28 Ramadan.
Negatives : Doors open at 5:36 when the iftar time was 5:43 so everyone waiting outside was rushing in and trying to get the place they booked. We where the biggest group with 6 families and we had women who where expecting and the iftar was late. The food was not even ready and the staff where scrabbling to organize everything.
Once the food was ready after 15 min of iftar. The que build up and it was big. Attached is the picture and who ever has been there knows that the line stretched through the entire restaurant. and who ever stood in the que would fill up the plate to the max in order to avoid another stand in the que.
The food kept running out quick and ppl and to wait. Specially pregnant women (we had 3 in our group) The staff keep filling up but the food kept running out. And not to forget the serving plates to. At the end they had to opt for plastic plates which where even smaller in size which many ppl complained about. By the time everyone was done the iftar, I saw plates filled with food at most tables. People had over filled and didn't eat. That's what happens when you have buffet and a long que. Waste of food.
In summary it was very badly organized. There was shortage of staff (given the current situation in melbourne it's hard to get staff)
If they know the number of people you are going to cater, you should be be prepared for it or cancel it if you can't manage the event. It's just going to give you more bad reviews in my opinion.
Positives: The staff was very very hard working and polite. They did not break a sweat. The serving staff never argued or show temper to customers who complained, rather politely answered that they are filling up soon. I addressed the mismanagement to the young lady at the counter, who acknowledged that things could have been organized better but given the crowd is not easy to handle. (specially desis / this is my personal opinion) it didn't go as planned.
The person who had invited us at the iftar party was is disbelief on what was happening. He had done an iftar with them last year and at that time everyone was served at the table as per to him. He later apologized to everyone for the inconvenience.
The food in no doubt was delicious and i would rate it 8/10
The BBQ, Biryani, Aloo Gosht and the sweets all spot on.
Will i visit them again ?
Yes for the Food - Definitely
No for the wait time (45 Min over the weekend)
You know it's good food when you see so many customers waiting.
Summary:
They are definitely one of the best restaurants in Melbourne in terms of authentic Pakistani food. And the quality of food was impeccable.
I do look forward to visiting them again in future. And hope they improve the serving standards. Which i think they will take it positively.
Thanks for the Experience
From and Average Customer.

Wow! What can I say! Authentic desi food. Delicious flavours and despite the restaurant being full the food came out relatively quickly. It was very clear that they were understaffed but the owner (I think he was the owner) was accommodating and the service was great too. Highly recommended!

Awesome ambiance and authentic food. Must try their meat platter and goat. The kadai style serving is an awesome presentation and is in great quantity. Try their mango lassi as well. It’s well balanced and isn’t too sweet. We did have to wait for a while because place was packed but I suppose that’s a good sign.
K. C.
Love the food. Excellent combination of spices. The chicken and mutton dishes we ordered were cooked just right. Highly recommended.

One of the best places for Ramadan Iftar, everything that You can desire being a food lover.
Specifically patties, rolls, fish pakoras and everything else was amazingly great.
Food was one of its kind with original Pakistani taste, May GOD bless the cheff..
Furthermore, Staff was very lovely and ambiance was flabbergasted
A must visit place and highly recommended

Food is delicious but too oily. They have a big fanbase for sure. We have waited one and half hours to get into the restaurant. I would say staff were really friendly but they are exhausted because only 4 people were serving to 100 of people. Therefore, I strongly suggest to the management to hire more people to fulfil the lack of customer service.

Superb – my first tasting of Pakistani cuisine and was not disappointed. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. After taking to them about what I liked, plus emphasized I wanted Pakistani specialties, was given CHICKEN 65 to start (magnificent, succulent, and spicy), followed by CHICKEN KARAHI (Boneless Diced Chicken cooked in authentic Pakistani Style, spiced up for me), with CHICKEN BIRYANI (wonderful) and SESAME KULCHA (superb). Didn’t manage all, as the portions were large, but will enjoy the remainder later today!!
This restaurant doesn’t take bookings, first in first serve so I highly recommend coming before 7pm to get a table as it does get busy (even on a Wednesday night), plus it does not have a liquor license.
In summary, amazing and very flavoursome food - Awesome experience with lovely, very friendly staff. Would recommend go with a minimum of 4 people, so you can sample a greater variety, as the portions are generous, as the other dishes looked and smelt fantastic – a definite place to visit if you love Pakistan / India cuisine – Highly recommended and will be back when in town next. Thank you for a lovely meal and experience.

The food here is just delicious. We tried the chicken shinwari, paneer lahori and mushroom chilli. Although this place is well known for their meat delicacies they've come a long way with their vegetarian menu, a delight for vegetarians like me!
4 stars only because we had to wait for over an hour to get seated despite arriving much before time.
F. U. H.
Amazing food and extremely friendly staff. Our group consisted of people who live in Sydney, South Australia and Tasmania.
Whilst we dont know if their kebabs are the best in Victoria, we can definitely say their kebabs are better than any desi place in, Sydney, south Australia or Tasmania.
Despite being extremely busy, the waitress(the one with the neck tattoo) checked on us multiple times and the male restaurant host/manager/owner was extremely switched on about updating when the food will be coming. And the portions were HUGE
Probably the best customer service I've had at a desi place in my 8 years in Australia.
S. C.
Quite possibly the best Indian restaurant I’ve been to in Melbourne. This restaurant doesn’t take bookings, first in first serve so I highly recommend coming before 7pm to get a table. We came here on a Friday night and 30 mins later after getting our table there was a line growing out the front.
The supreme platter was a home run for me. The meats here are juicy and moist, can feel the freshness when it’s in your mouth. The wait staff try their hardest but during their peak times they can be underwhelmed and food comes longer than usual, so please be patient.
H. B.
The menu items we ordered were really well cooked and presented well. Good place for a proper Pakistani cuisine near the city.
Overall, the quality of food is really good and the taste resembles the one you get back home in Pakistan.
There was a lapse in service at the end but that can be overlooked when overall food is great.
Keep up the good work and keep feeding us Pakistanis tasty food.
S. I. S.
Excellent food! Taste was sooo yummy. They make the best cheese handi in town. Lovedddd the bbq platter, malai boti was very juicy. The best thing was their ambience and lighting. The only hard part was the waiting line because of weekend and peak hours but the wait was worth it!
F. M.
Food was the best Full with flavour ( May be Authentic Pakistani) Loved kulcha, Paneer 65, Golgappa ,Lahori Paneer also my takeaway Paneer biryani. Staff please ensure your cutlery 🥄 are nice and clean before you serve the customer 😊😊Will come soon for food
Thank you
t. a.
Staff are really really unprofessional, they screamed, making cutlery noise and specially native talking loudly and argument blah blah, really pathetic!
Way to approach to the customer also very rude! Btw food quality is amazing as usual! Please attention to the owner! Photos to show their private place for fighting!
A. S.
Authentic Pakistani/Indian restaurant with huge seating capacity. The curries are perhaps the best we have tried in Melbourne and we eat out a lot. Special mention to their signature Goat Karahi dish which was sublime. I will keep coming back for it. We also tried the Supreme bbq platter, which was amazing as well. Succulent chicken, well marrinated and fresh from the grill. The breads were great as well, particularly the Rogani naan. In desserts we tried Gulaabjamun and it was the perfect end to our night. The quantities are very generous. We went overboard and the food was too much so we got take away off the leftovers which made for a great lunch the following day. The service was fine given how busy they were. There was minor delay in taking our orders but the food came quickly. Overall, highly recommend!
D. G.
Good food, Wait staff are great, food quality and quantity is good too.
The food is overpriced though.
There was a long wait to be seated but we were well informed so that we were prepared however we were not advised that there will.be another 30 -40 min wait on food.
Overall worth trying their food.
K.
Ordered Chicken bharta and Mutton karhai for take away along with butter naan. While chiken bharta was good, Goat karhai was average. The meat pieces were too big for a dish like karhai. For the same reason it seemed a bit undercooked. And what do I say about the naan?? They were fine in taste but nothing like a naan. It was a simple butter chapati sort of thing. It was THAT thin and small in size.
A. T.
One of the best Indian/Pakistan food u ha e had in Melbourne.
Staff is very welcoming and always have a smile while serving.
Usually the place is very busy but the service is very quick.
Highly recommended 👌

Very tasty and authentic Indian food, been here with friend while a visit to Melbourne even though we reached few minutes before closing time the staff was really good and they took our order. Staff at the reception is very kind and polite.

Kulcha was 😍 white karahi was not as we are expecting.
Chicken shinwari was good.
D. T. K.
I have been in Australia for over 10 years and this is the first time I ever experienced such a delicious and authentic Pakistani food. Everything was cooked to perfection. Well done team at Ziyka restaurant.
M. S.
Excellent menu and food. It's very busy due to its high demand and the food was worth every bit of it. There is more than a sufficient amount of food delivered for the price as well.
The preference for this restaurant would largely go towards South Asians/Indians for that authentic cultural experience like back home of loud conversations, singing, and cheering for others during their birthdays etc.
Personally, I like a more quiet environment but for those that want to feel a rush of their home country, this is the perfect place.
A. B.
Good taste. Good quality food. Authentic Pakistani cuisine. Goat Pulao and Karahis are amazing. Genuinely delicious.
But almost always there's no space if you're going there without a reservation - so long wait times to get you seated.
The service can get pretty slow as well, especially on the weekends. More staff is needed.
N. Z. A.
Best Chai ! One of the best Pakistani restaurants we have ever visited ! Great service, good portion of Food!
R. R.
A fine example of Pakistani cuisine. Absolutely delicious, amazing ambience and excellent service. Definitely coming back. My little girls says, "juicy and irresistibly tastylicious"!
A. P.
Came here and was seated whilst waiting for rest of group to turn up. Were generally ignored until the last of group turned up and we hunted down a staff member. Once we got their attention, we ordered. When the food did turn up it was amazing, highly recommend the supreme platter, all dishes were tasty and finely spiced with a nice bit of heat. Will return to try more of the menu.
T. n.
My go to place to have heart content meal!! Their supreme platter is everything I need.. every curry and every dish is a taste bomb!! Been here now over 10 times and never have got enough yet.. sad part is their best dish the Goat Pilau is no more... Please get it back!!
M. E.
The food and atmosphere in this restaurant was great. We had the chicken korma and dal makhani and a number of breads. There was about 20 minute wait to get in and very busy on Friday night around 11pm but food came out in about 20 minutes as well. Open very late which is good
S. S.
I have been to this place countless times. This place is always busy and we always have to wait in line but every time we go, their food quality is marvellous. I think this will be the first restaurant in melbourne who serves quality food every time.
Excellent quality and service.
Keep it up!
M. T. A.
Absolutely wonderful and delicious..I have been there many times but tried iftar buffet first time few days ago..I would say the quality and taste was extra ordinary with the variety of food...They maintained their quality..Ziyka is one of the best Pakistani restursnt in Melbourne and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended.....!!
H. S.
Love the food and their hospitality with the customers.Excellent combination of spices. The chicken and mutton dishes we ordered were cooked just right. Highly recommended.
D. S.
Mouthwatering delicacies straight outta kitchen from Pakistan! The food is great and so is the service. Probably the best Naan breads I have ever had. Oozing with butter and so soft, that it never feels too heavy. Try out the Butter Chicken, Paneer Karahi and the Biriyani.
P. D.
Never expected such an amazing vegetarian food at Ziyka.
The restaurant maintained social distancing and the menu was completely online (scanned via the QR code). The service was prompt and the food was delicious. Will definitely visit again.
Must try vegetarian starter- Achari paneer!
G. B.
O what an experience it was!
The Karahi Chicken/Goat and Chicken Shinwari were the winners and so was the BBQ platter! The Rohingi Naans were great! Overall the best Pakistani food in Melbourne!
Restaurant is very spacious and the ambience is not bad.
The only downside is the service. The ladies taking orders and serving food are neither friendly nor professional. They don’t even smile at you.
Poor service but I would still rate 4 stars because of the food.
H. R.
I came here for a late dinner. They didn't have any rice dishes available so we ordered a BBQ Premium Platter and Mutton Karahi. Serving size was decent. The spice in both dishes is very mild but overall taste is decent. I gave an extra star for the ambiance and seating area which is the best among Pakistani/Indian restaurants.

This is my second visit where Ziyka couldn't serve me Lahori fish. If any other restaurant makes this style of fish I'd rather go there. This restaurant is very busy and as it gets busy barbeque menu is off the menu. If we gotta wait 45 mins to get in expect a full menu, even so if it's at 7pm in the evening.

Amazing food and worth every penny. It’s crowded all the time but they deserve it. Yummy food:

I must say that ZIKYA is One of the best place to eat in melbourne, where u enjoy the original desi food.
I loved their food specially the makhni karahi, its sooo delicious, i’ve never eaten this in my whole life.
Their kabab are so juicy and tender, u’ll enjoy every bite of it.
Overall menu is good.
And above all the hospitality, i would give it 10/10.
MR. Zain is a great and humble person, along with the food he serves, u will actually enjoy his company.
I would strongly recommend this to all.
Must give it a try.
M. A.
Ahh, the best in Melbourne. Mutton Karahi my friend it’s highly addictive. Price range is bit premium compared to other restaurants/places but high satisfaction is assured for what we spend.
S. M.
Amazing food. Delicious and best authentic food in Melbourne. The staff was so kind and helpful. They really took good care of us. All my office colleagues were so happy with service and tasty food.. Must visit place if you want to try an authentic dish. DAL MAKHNI, BBQ PLATTER AND MUTTON KARAHI HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A. Z.
It was a nice experience of dine in at Ziyka Restaurant. It is really busy over the weekends and located at a vibrant Lygon street of Melbourne CBD. Like it's name food is also delicious and tasty.
P. G.
It was a wonderful dinner 🥘 night at Ziyka, the taste of food was mouth-watering 😋and staff was very polite and friendly.
M. R.
Guys you have the best taste and customer services. Keep it up.
M. K.
Food was amazing. The platters were to die for..the meat was sooo juicy and well cooked. I would suggest just order that to start with and order throughout your dinner.
s. g.
Food was very yummy. people were standing in queue to dine in. I would have given it a perfect 5 start only if the dishes were washed properly and toilet was clean. Felt like vomiting after I entered the toilet.

Have tried most of the barbecue and the biryani. Very decent Pakistani food. However too pricey for its range and other Pakistani places like Bolan outdo it in both price and authentic tastes.

I visited this place on recommendations from quite a lot of people. And place didn't let me down even at all. Firstly about the sitting, it's clean and convenient for small get-togethers. Secondly, about their food, not that i have tried many of their dishes but Lahori chicken was extraordinarily good. The first bite you have of it fills your mouth with delicious flavours. Their naans are fluffy and exact as they should be. Shaahi paneer was fabulous to compliment with spicy lahori Chicken. Garden salad could have had more things in there. And prices are very reasonable.
But only one disappointment was service. Food wasn't served warm and we had to wait for 30 minutes for it on which you expect hot food. This was the only thing that brought my experience down. I am willing to give 5 stars next time just if the service improves.
OVERALL i totally recommend visiting the place over and over again.
K. V.
Amazing food. Service was so nice and they have less staff but still they are giving their best. really appreciate them.
P. S.
Very tasty food. Everything I ordered was outstanding. Will surely visit again.

Love its food and happy with their services ...food is super duper yummy here...specially the behaviour of their staff is so good.👍🏻
H. M.
hands down the best pakistani/indian restaurant I tried in Melbourne, and I have tried a lot. been there tens of times and tried almost every dish they have on the menu. Ziyka special, Katsuri chicken and chicken Handi are my favorite. please guys dont change your quality
L.
I was blown over by the the starters- lamb seek kebab and creamy chicken. Good sized portions . The restaurant was overflowing with people and the staff were friendly ; But Kadak chai was too sweet, dal was too salty and too oily too.
U. S.
Amazing iftar here at ziyka lygon street. The menu was really good considering the price they are charging. Good luck to you guys for giving us a place to enjoy quality stuff.
Cheers
A. K.
Pakistani Indian cuisine restaurant. Head over if you are missing desi style food. Chicken and mutton served in handi or pan is a highlight. Vegetarian options are also good and tastes good. It's a crowded place so be ready for wait. And they take cash or do a bank transfer over counter. Only bad or I will say thing to consider is a little hygiene around.
A. A.
Finally!!! Some genuinely Lavish, mouth watering, and delicious food with the best quality and very friendly customer service.
This restaurant is a must, if you’re in Melbourne!!
S. H.
Excellent food. Tasty Roti. Under staffed.
The only problem with this restaurant is they are getting famous day by day because of their quality but seems like owner is just hungry to fill his pocket with more profit. The place is under staffed. You have to wait for 30-40 mins just to get your food when all tables are full.
Also the quantity is bit less for the price they are being sold. Should consider increasing the quanitity of all the curries. Overall happy with the taste and quality of food. Have seen people taking away the food because they cant find table.
But there are improvements which need to be done on other things.
J. K.
First time trying this place and pwah! So delicious, I will be ordering again with uber eats.. I
actually visited last night and the chicken tikka masala, lamb tikka masala & lamb rogan josh were absolutely sensational!!! I wish people would stop posting photos from the other ziyka restaurants which are located elsewhere! Anyway ziyka Carlton, highly recommended!!
S. R.
Food is excellent no doubt customer service for serving food is awful as waiting period of time takes on busy days more then one or one and half hours to serve the customers food
Management should manage proper time for opening as people waiting out of the restaurant more then one hour for no reasons
S. H.
Halal food with a great ambience and a huge seating area.
Need to improve their customer service, long waiting time.
They love their customers so much that's why they take time to serve the food.
m. b.
Starter was tasty but did not like malai kofta.
Taste 4 Star
Ambience-- 4 Star
Hospitality-- 3 Star
Best place for non-veg lovers.
Must visit !!!

It hurts me to write this review. Why? Because I wish I could keep this place a secret. Alas, I have to let everyone know about Ziyka. This is the most authentic Pakistani/North Indian food I have had since I’ve been to India. The flavours pack a punch. They aren’t dialled down at all to suit western tastebuds which makes this place so damn amazing.
In 2020 the restaurant has moved to a new location on Lygon street and the layout and fit out are great with the same amazing menu.
I’ll return many many times and I’ll bring many of my friends here too to try this amazing restaurant.
Highly recommend the chicken bone in Karahi which has fresh ginger throughout and is a truly delicious meal.
R. P.
Absolutely loved dinner here yesterday. The Chicken Malai Boti was mouth watering! Loved it!! Definetly will be back here again
E. E.
Apparently, they have the best iftar buffet, did not have a chance to check it out because we went there on a Monday
h. s.
Simply amazing and fantastic food. Awesome experience. Super friendly staff. Must go to place for your desi craving. Starter, maincourse and dessert everything is just perfect.
A. S.
A fantastic place to eat indian and Pakistani cuisine.
With plethora of options available one can try dishes with different types of meat for all courses..
Don’t forget to try their sweet dish.. Have some space for it while you eat your dinner..
Notw:You've to pay in cash.
Though there's an ATM at Ziyka but it charges $3 per withdrawal
D. M.
Great food. Our wait staff Zayn from Gujrat was absolutely amazing. Highly recommended!
m. u.
The ambiance is outstanding for including food and service the putting in a net shall it's highly recommended place to visit.

M. S.
very popular nice place for asian foods great place for family. i like the Foods and friendly staff .
M. A.
Food was authentic Pakistani taste, no doubt at all. We ordered achari chicken, tikka, mutton pulao and naans. Mutton pulao was excellent and naan super creamey. Achari chicken was good but tasted more like butter chicken. Everything was fresh. Don’t forget to take cash as they either accept bank transfer or cash, no eftpos!
Food was seved promptly.
Y. B.
Highly recommendable Pakistani restaurant. Cuisines are very authentic and tastes are amazing. Handi chicken is the best, and sesame naam. Serving staff is very good. Don't forget to try desserts, their gajarpaak is the best I ever had.
M. M.
Hello everyone
I’d like to share my experience with you, I tried the White mutton curry which is the restaurant's signature dish absolutely Devine.
S. A.
Awesome food. Enjoyed the hospitality. The crowd cueing outside the restaurant during weekends speaks for itself.
S. C.
The chicken BBQ was very very good. Food 5 stars. But COVID regulations were a bit lax and tables were a bit sticky.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE this place. One of the most affordable and authentic Pakistani restaurants near city. Whenever I go, it's always full of customers :) I often go for their $9 "Rice & 2 Curry" combo and believe me, they give HEAPS. Lots of herby meat chunks and curries full of flavour.. every bite is w.o.n.d.e.r.f.u.l. I got to admit that plating/presentation isn't great but I still think this is a good place to go with friends for late night food. Highly recommend this place!

I have visited many places for Pakistani food in Australia. But the experience at Ziyka has been the best so far. Highly recommended.
T. A. R.
Nihari chicken is great. Kofta is very good quality. Best of it was the paan balls in sachet near the counter. $1 each. Very good.
S. H.
Finally a good Pakistani restaurant. The other branch at Sydney Road is not as good as this one. Please expect long waiting times on weekends as the restaurant doesn't take bookings.
S. l. C.
Ziyka Special Chicken curry was heaven. I am very satisfied with the quality and the quantity of the food served. Hot Gulab Jamun in the end was the show stealer. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.

We had a lovely experience with this place, the food was very good...we eat alot of food, the service was fast and the food tastes good too...
The place is usually full and alot of people in the dining, even the day we went was on monday, the dining was full of people..
The only problem with this place is it's toilet, only 1 toilet is a problem, as it's not sufficient in comparison to the people coming in the restaurant...
Overall it was a lovely experience..

Been coming here for a long time. Food is really delicious and its best during Ramadan. Possibly the best Pakistani restaurant I have been in the last decade. just a request, please do not increase the prices so fast. Goat white gone from $14 to 16 then 18 then 20 than 24 and now $28 per plate, in just 2 years.

I have been there many times and more often than not I've been happy with the food I've got here. One of my favorite dishes here is the Lahori chicken which is served in a pan in which it is cooked. It has a really nice flavor, and the chicken is always cooked brilliantly. The mix of spices is really unique and tastes really good. This week I tried Shahi Paneer and I was blown away by the flavor. It was an amazing flavor.
Some improvements can be made in the restaurant regarding cleanliness, ambiance and the look of the restaurant, but if I only look at the food then it is exceptional.
I haven't had flavor-rich food like that in many places in Melbourne. This is one of the places that I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for Indian or Pakistani food in Melbourne.
B. C.
Best Bar Q platter i have had so far in Melbourne. Lots of desi dishes available and all are delicious & mind blowing so far whatever i have tried (Shinwari Karahai, Karahai, Biryani)
K. W.
Chicken Malai Boti was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted in my life. 11/10 would recommend. Service was so so.
y. k.
Absolutely amazing food! Was super excited to try this and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Everything we ordered was as authentic as a typical Indian restaurant. Their ambience is good, I would definitely recommend this place to go out with family and friends. We ordered few dishes. Everything turned out to be perfect and delicious. Best dishes- Achari tikka, Dum ka murg, Samosa chaat, Garlic naan, Rose lassi and Gulab jamun. Freshly made and pleasant ambiance.
Overall the food and their customer service was so good by the manager pooja.
m.
Omg kaffi is one of the best staff members ever. She fed us when we had no where to go. She’s like a god’s sent gift for us. If i were to ever wish for something it would be service like kaffi’s. Love her, kiss her, miss her! Kaffi jaisi koi nahi. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
S. K.
It’s our first time visiting here. And food’s amazing. Definitely coming back. Also suggesting our friends to pay visit.
S. P.
Amazing pakistani/ Indian food. It's a must go place for this cuisine in Melbourne. Make sure to come early or book as it does get very full fast.
s. t.
Exceptional food. Great experience
Must visit :)
S. A.
The food was tasty and flavourful, the service was top tier and the atmosphere was lively. Overall I had a great experience at Ziyka.
a. h.
The best authentic pakistani cuisine in Melbourne. I wish I had visited Ziyka long time before. Everything we ordered had authentic Pakistani taste and cooked very well. If you anyone looking for pakistani food than without any doubt visit this place. You will feel the difference. Last but not least the staff were really friendly and great service.
S. A.
Great vegetarian food. Garlic naans were really soft and tasty with other curries.
S. G.
Fabolous food, both in terms of quality and quantity. Prompt service as well.
Best Indian / Pakistani food I had in Melbourne. Keep up the good work.

We visited Ziyka on a busy night , just after lockdown . And we were surprised by the great management !!! We orders a mixed plater ,kasturi hhandi , lahoori paneer and the food was just AMAZING ;)
Everything was delicious with good quantity .
But the most impressive thing was customer service . The gentleman serving us was warm and friendly . I would give 10/10 stars to food and ambience . And 11/10 stars for the boy serving us!
One can definately learn 100% customer satisfaction from him . 🙌🏾
Compliments to chef 💜(we didn't got a chance to tell them personally, as it was super busy)
Thumbs up to the whole Ziyka team . 👍🏾

This place does not get a good exposure they deserve! I had the best malai kofta in the world. I have compared their malai kofta in several other places in melbourne to jakarta and nothing compared to them. The waiters are friendly, fast in responding and nice. The restaurant gets very pack at night so better visit them during a non-peak hour to get a good experience.
R. D.
Liked it on the first visit nice service and food. If you are a vegetarian do try the special lahori paneer it was yummy. Would highly recommend.
M. A.
Tasty food, affordable price.. They opened new spacious branch in Lygon Street which is nice.
S. A.
One of the best places to eat in Lygon St. If you love the spices and Indian/Pakistani cuisine this is a must go. I’ve been ordering online from here all through lockdowns and is a regular dine in now that I’ve been double jabbed
Highlights here are
- paneer biriyani
- goat curry (white)
- chicken Karachi
Not that anything else is bad, but the above are definitely the best of the bunch.
The only thing I don’t like here are the toilets, which unfortunately are dirtier than the ones at flinders st station. So take a leak before you come to dine in and make sure you don’t have to go for the duration you are there
P. H.
Mutton Karahi is an absolute must-try!!! Achaari chicken was also a highlight. The naans were so good too, very soft and light! Definitely going back to try more of their delicious food!
M. A. R. H.
Delicious food and service, can't wait to try those chicken patties and chicken roll again.
A. A.
Really loved the ambiance and environment pf the restaurant! Glad they have such a great staff and service. ♥️
M. Z.
The Roasted chicken was Tasty and fried fish was amazing at Iftar buffet.
D. H. K.
One of the elite Pakistani restaurants in Melbourne, used to be a go to place, however quality and taste is going down with every visit in recent days.
W. S.
Amazing food..been back many times the quality and consistency of food between visits is impressive. Chefs deserve all the credit.
M. A.
It was a nice experience of iftar buffet at Ziyka Restaurant.Everything was amazing. Highly recommend.
S. K.
I felt great taste even better than in Pakistan. Malaiboti wonderful taste. Give it a try.
P. G.
Amazing food, great vibe, home away from home, go without thinking. Won't come out with any regrets!
N. A.
Zaika Iftar buffet dinner experience was awestruck. The food was scrumptious and had a amazing ambience.
U. A.
The food was very good and loved their Lahori karahi and bbq platter
A. J.
Excellent food!! Quite spicy for my wife but just enough for me. :D
A. R. I.
The best Pakistani food in Melbourne and that explains the wait time every time you visit.
H. A.
Best pakistani, indian food in Melbourne. If you are looking for desi taste, this is the place.
N. I.
Good food, chicken & beef kebabs were way to dry. Just heated in microwave and served.
T. E.
Went their for iftari buffet and every thing was good and the customer service was excellent.

Very good service . Bit of wait and fresh food served
H. S.
Great food. Best Pakistani Restaurant.
m. k.
OMG.... this place is a food heaven, absolutely awesome... I was a big fan of my usual Chicken Biryani with Achari Chicken BUT from today... my list has grown with Chilly Chicken dry... take a look.... a must visit, especially for Indian and Pakistani exotic cuisines ♥️
A. R.

The best goat curry i have in my past 7 years,,, love the place
S. K.
One of the best Indian/ Pakistani Restaurant. Highly recommended. In busy times food might be late but doesn’t matter because its so good you will be happy to wait.
M. Z.
Great experience, food & staff was exceptional.
Bit of the wait for table but worth the wait.
S. G.
Food quality was great and staff was really corporative and nice.
Ambiance 10/10.
Highly recommend
s. s.
Have been there couple of times... Delicious food .... Supreme platter is highly recommended...But price is little bit high....Go and give a try ...
r. r.
If you are looking for real meaning of spicy, you just need to have a shot! However, this is a cash only, absolutely cheap, and I just recommend it when you look for something delicious to really fill you up. Interestingly, it’s closed just on Tuesday and for the rest of the week from 5:30 to 1 am, which is a good place when you are drunk, and you don wanna have any fast food. I’d never date anyone there for sure, but anytime I wanna have something to really feel staffed and be in Carlton, it would be my first choice.
G. I.
Introduced to this restaurant by my Pakistani brother! Went so many times... love the food 💜
J. S.
Food was good no doubt . But really need to work on the toilets as well. Please spend some money on cleaner as well according to the current situation where everyone is worried about hygiene. Customer service was good though.
Thanks
m. r.
Very tasty food and can't wait to go again. A bit pricey but good food comes with a good price!!
Y. G.
Very good! The best India food in Melbourne
S. B.
I have been to most desi restaurants in Melbourne and Ziyka is hands down the best Pakistani restaurant. The ambience is amazing, the food even better! The staff is polite and welcoming. Definitely a place you can take your friends and family to have them experience the best Pakistani food. Mutton Karahi and their BBQ is a favorite
M. c.
Delicious food,super services,great environment,highly recommended
D. G.
Absolutely love the food. Moved to a different place on Lygon street and the ambience is just amazing.
M. I.
We come here sooo often! The best chicken kerahi I have had!!! There lahori chicken kerahi is a must try! Great value for money and amazing taste!!! Also dont forget to try the ghulhab jamhun, sooo good!!!! Fave desi place!
M. Z.
Very delicious food and courteous staff. The tables for four could do with slightly larger size though.
Y. G.
Ordered Achari chicken and kadhai panner. Gravy tasted petty much the same, quantity only sufficient for two people. But, the best part was Gulab Jamun, and it's not the canned one. Loved it.
W. A.
I personally believe that this restaurant is the best restaurant for Pakistani food in Melbourne. Loved their naan bread, BBQ and mutton karahi. Fast service even though they are always busy. Staff is nice and always running around, may be short of staff. Nice and highly recommended place for yummy Pakistani food.
T. K.
Excellent service
And delicious food
Will surely visit again. 💯
A. R.
Amazing food great taste and the iftari buffet was amazing.
K. s.
Good Food, Good Service, Good ambience, could be better if they focus on Hygiene practices.
M. K.
awesome food and presentation. Friendly staff
Update:
Visited again today on 25th December
They had massive inflow of Customers, front of the house was keeping their cool & asked us to wait for an hour, the most important thing was even after having the busiest day , they served us the promised quality of food within reasonable time.
P.S : i am writing this since we mostly take good service for granted
D. P.
Awesome experience , I visited with my family and friends. Amazing experience all through out from booking till finish. Very good customer friendly service. Great fresh food, good quantity. Value for money. I will highly recommend this place for food lovers.
A. F.
I talk the long way home, just so I can walk past this restaurant - the scent of mystic curries, garlic naan, body heat, spice sweats, and other minute moments that make the daily worries vanish. You need not even walk in to get a taste of the local Pakistani cuisine; the local Pakistani cuisine comes to you.
Like an unwanted spray of perfume at a department store, it catches you by surprise from its unsolicited act of trespassing into your sensorial quarters, but then, after a few moments when you finally arrive at your appointment, for which you took the shortcut through the ground floor of Myers, someone compliments your accidentally acquired scent. “What is that smell? Was it raining turmeric just before?”
“No, it was Ziyka,” I replied. “You know, the local Pakistani joint on Rathdowne.
The interiors are unassuming, effortless, and without the usual cultural cliches of other restaurants of this genre. It’s perfectly capitalistic, tradable, exchangeable for any other business to take its place; you would only have to replace the simple “Ziyka” signage at the counter where you pay. A subtle reminder that everything in this world is transient and temporary.
Ziyka is here today, but could be gone tomorrow. Would you have done things differently? Perhaps, instead of walking past it day after day, you would face your inner fears and make a move. So what if it showers you with fragrant spices every time you walk past: will that forever be the extent of your relationship with this person? Or will you man up, place fear aside and become courageous - to reach out of your comfortable shell and seek new territories and experiences. How do you know you’ve lived, if you never made a move? Come to Ziyka. That’s where life is. Life is delicious. And quite spicy, so order mild if you’re starting out.
O. R.
Food quality is outstanding except the guy who takes order can learn a bit more on how to serve customers with respect and politeness.
F. A.
So tasty and delicious food, good customer service
Karahi and bbq is on top , we go from Geelong to just eat from this restaurant, even in busy hours they serve and respond quickly, whatever i try it taste delicious I recommend to everyone who like authentic Pakistani style dishes must go there
T. S.
Food is tasty but the service has a lot to be desired but the food is overpriced for what's being offered
N. C.
Probably one of the best Pakistani Restuarant in Melb at the moment. Great location, fit out, capacity, waitstaff, service, variety and taste of food. Only downside is the waiting queues outside the restaurant but apparently that reflects on all the good things above 😀.
Keep up the good work
N. S.
It was really good experience, inspite of having less staff you really served well. I totally recommend and appreciate your effort❤️
B. R.
I love Ziyka’s food, ambiance and service! always a pleasure coming here
A. S. B.
One of the very best Indian restaurant
One of the waiter was very rude though
B. K. U.
Excellent services and great food....specially chicken Tika masala is fab
Highly recommended
S. S.
Exceptional service and quick food on the table
A. J.
Hands down this place has the best Pakistani Punjabi food comparable to the best in the world. Every item on their menu is super delicious and really flavourful. Highly recommend their barbecue platter. The really annoying part of the restaurant is the management are highly disorganised and not able to manage the waiting crowd. Extremely long waiting times and they don’t take bookings (let me repeat that again, they don’t take bookings) effectively shooting themselves in the foot. I would highly recommend this restaurant but then I would highly recommend that you be at their door at 6pm and not later if you really want to special the food and the service. It’s a very crowded joint.
H. N.
Wow! The Indian and Pakistani was the best I have had in ages!
R. G.
All dishes are as expected. Simply Delicious
N. B.
I've tried most of the highly recommended Indian/Pakistani restaurants north of the city, and this one tops it. Such delicious and affordable curries, great flavoursome vegetarian options that are unmatched by any establishment in the area.
v. m.
We had dinner last night at ziyka. It was one of the craziest night because of mother’s day. So we wait for half an hour to got our food. But everything was really tasty. Even the portions were quite big. They were almost fully booked but still they allowed us to dine in without booked a table. It was a good experience. One of the best indian restaurant around Melbourne. See you next time🤗♥️
S. M.
Awesome Pakistani style food at great prices. Simple decor and amazing food. Good service. Will be returning soon.
I. R.
If you are looking for a good Pakistani food and then definitely its your goto place. I loved the food and service, awesome and friendly staff with such a welcoming attitude. People in hospitality businesses if you want to learn how to provide good quality service please do visit this restaurant. Its was a super super cool experience. Well done team Ziyka.
R. P.
Long waiting times but quality and tasty food.
S. I.
Good food in a reasonable price. However it is always crowded so be sure to go early.
I. N.
The food is a bit slow but they are worth the wait. Absolutely my favourite Indian restaurant in Melbourne
B.
Been here several times. Great food, great ambience. A little bit busy, but I think it is a good indication as to how good this restaurant is.
There food looks expensive in the menu, but compared with the portion size it is very reasonable. It's better if you go in a group, as you can share and taste a good variety of food.
A. G.
Great food. Bbq platter was delicious as well as butter chicken. Service lagged as there were delays in serving full order. Very busy. We had to wait 30 min for getting a space and about 25 minutes for the order to be partially served. You can't reserve a table which is quite strange and can save customers a lot of time. I would love to collect a take away from there again but probably not dine out as it was too noisy and almost impossible to have a conversation.
H. A.
Excellet service. Friendly enviorment.
Best food in town.
r. k.
Good quality food but Goat dhaba is the best
a. k.
Loved it achari chicken chicken karahi.
A good place for mutton lovers too...
v. j.
Terrible service, food was fine, didn't meet my expectations..
D. S.
Best Pakistani food ever in Melbourne. Loved it
M. S.
Best Curries in town so far, beautiful Venue amazing atmosphere Ziaka is on top of my list , delicious curries with big fatty portion sizes
Please go try once and you’ll fell in love with this place
We had a table of 8 booked on a busy Saturday night , though we had no booking we had to wait 30 min to get a table but worth waiting it
As I belong from Hospitality too I know how hard it gets to control sometimes but personally I think with god grace you guys know that you are busy but lack of staff on the floor doesn’t really help just need to step up with the staff on the floor and better table service otherwise you guys smashing it in all departments , wish you all the best and see you guys very soon again
P. P.
Amazing Food. Very good quality. Worth the money 👍
C. R.
Must Go place if you are in and around Carlton or CBD.
Just the longer waiting times.
And first come, first serve. No reservations
S. P.
Great authentic Pakistani dishes, one of few in Melbourne with great taste.
F. I.
Good food. Really loved the goat pulao.
S. E.
Amazing food. Best indian and pakistani selection I've had in a long time. The staff were incredibly nice and treated my group like kings. Significant servings, be ready to fill up!
T. T.
Must try their chicken kebab and their karahi.
A. S.
It's one of the best resturant which i have visited so far.
The staff is really nice and cooperative.
And when it comes to the food, its perfectly cooked and has taste. Both quality and quantity of the Food was perfect. Even the side dishes and Sallad was perfect in every sense.
The environment was also neat and clean and was looking completely hygienic.
I highly recommend this resturant.
H. A.
This place serves the best tasting Indian pakistani cuisine in Melbourne.
Very competitively priced and good customer service. Have visited this place many times and will keep doing it.
P. D.
Absolutely amazing food and brilliant service!! Kaffi is your go to person!!
v. k.
Super delicious food at decent prices, and is ALWAYS crowded so that feels overwhelming but that's a me-problem really.. other than that, due to the crowd, the food takes a bit to arrive but the staff still provides good service with absolutely no time wasted it seems
A. R.
Amazing experience, friendly staff with exceptional taste
S. A.
Best Restaurant in Australia 🇦🇺🇵🇰
V. C.
Cheap and Best Indian Pakistani restaurant. If you need food in the middle of the night they are open till late night
v. d.
It was very busy when we reached and we had to wait for around 30 minutes to get in and another 30 to order food. However, these minor drawbacks were overcome by their delicious food. Had their karahi goat , goat pulao, naan and chicken briyani. Everything was amazing. Best indian/pakistani food in Melbourne.
S. S.
Did not expect it to be so good! The dishes have an amazing flavour not just the spice.
O. T.
I went to Ziyka with my teammates from other countries. I think the food was great. The BBQ platter and the mutton karahi were in demand and people also liked Chicken Tikka Masala a lot.
The only issue I have is that the staff just stares at the guests and do not smile at all. They just come to the table and are not very happy at being called for further orders. I think this is an area that needs to be improved.
I have been with my team to Iranian and Columbian restaurants in the last one month as we are trying to show each other's culture. I think the death stares from the waitors were the only thing that we experienced at this restaurant and not the others.
The restaurant needs to work on that. Otherwise, it was good.
N. M.
They don't take bookings. Is super busy usually. Has good quality tasty Indian+Pakistani cuisine. Has the best garlic naan and paneer masala. My friends had the best chicken too.
S. A.
Quality and quantity both 5star. Service is also excellent.
S. H.
We took our guest from Mew Zealand for dinner after lockdown celebration .
Had great time .
Food was fantastic n yummy though.
M. U.
Wonderful experience, quick service & delicious food!
A. I.
Staff is very Polite.
Beautiful ambience.
Less wait for food.
R. K.
Excellent food and good quantity. Original Pakistani taste.
Only drawback is the waiting time and noisy environment. Definitely recommended for anyone who wants to have authentic Pakistani food in Melbourne.
M. S.
Very good service and very tasty food. highly recommended for authentic Pakistani food
M. F.
Great Pakistani food. Especially their Mutton Karahi!
However, service is lacking with high wait times. If you are on a time constraint wouldn’t recommend!
R. Y.
One of of the best place to IndoPak food..
S. B. D.
Extremely busy. Either get in early or endure a 40+ minute wait for a table if you get in too late. Once you order, the food comes out quickly. Standouts were the meat entrees
h. a.
Highly recommended. The food is amazing and the staff is very friendly. I feel like I am on a family dinner here even when I eat alone.
S. d.
Food and ambiance was amazing. Sandy was a really good host and we really enjoyed his smiles while serving food to us even though it was very hot evening and the venue was super busy.We had a great time with friends.
R. A.
Fresh food always lovef there kadai chicken...
Amazing taste.
U. K.
The food is really good. Authentic Pakistani taste that is quite hard to find in Melbourne. The BBQ platter, the Chicken and Lamb Karahi with soft Nan bread makes a really good combo.
G. M.
Great good, great service. Loved it!!
J.
Mostly busy. Should book before going there otherwise walkins have to wait.
J. S.
The food was sufficient and delicious. Been there many times and not disappointed with the food but the service, bit slow. Overall experience is satisfactory and will visit again.

Must try their chicken cheese haandi and malai boti.
H. M.
Went here for Iftari buffet with friends. The food was amazing and it was well managed. They should continue similar service on the future.
F. B. K.
Tasty food, affordable price, large floor space. Its one of the top places to go for south Asian cuisine in Melbourne. Amenities may need a bit more attention and serving food can take much longer than you may expect.
p. s.
Nice place to taste pakistani cuisine but waiting is extra long to order the food. They should work upon handling it. We waited for 1 hour to order the food..by the time food came, hunger already died😆😆.
Ended with packing all the ordered food.
N. K.
Food was great but customer service needs to be improved. I think it was busy there and they had nt enough staff to serve so that was the only thing I felt they should work on and I wish to come back in future and would love to give them 5 star if you actually improve the service a bit.
P. R.
After a long hiatus from eating out, I got a chance to visit this highly recommended joint. The person serving us was very helpful in choosing from their rather long list of dishes, which really hit the spot for what we felt like eating as well.
The kebab platter offered a range of flavours, and it only got better with each bite. And while I would normally end right there, this time around, the Mutton Kunna stole the show. Slow cooked, and spiced to perfection, this dish had me licking my fingers at the end yearning to have more, but limited by my appetite. I do recommend having it with the kulcha, a match that I couldn't see different.
W. P.
Food was amazing. Staff was good as well.
A. M.
The food quality and taste was amazing ! Nice dining and good setup......

BEST FOOD IN TOWN.
R. .. K. G.
Awesome place to try the best dishes.
m. a. h.
Good place to dine in the down town. Melbourne City.
T. A.
Staff was less... But the service was great... They accommodated really well.
G. M.
Very nice and tasty food. Expensive food but worth it. One of the best Pakistani restaurants i have tried in Melbourne.
M. N.
Flavorful and delicious. craving the Malal Kofta as I type this. Service is friendly.
A. B.
The best pakistani food in Melbourne. They treat u like a guest not only as customer. I have been to plenty of restaurants in Melbourne but Ziyka is the best among all. They know that they are providing the best quality even then you will not see any arrogance in their attitude, every person is loving and very kind hearted.
T. H.
Good food but slow service.

Dish ordered - Ziyka Special (chicken) & Butter Naans.
Date - 01/10/2020
234-236 Lygon St, Carlton VIC.
Loved it to bits!
It doesn't get any more authentic. The blend of species was well balanced.
The dish reminded me of my days back home in India.
Highly recommended 👍🏻
a. m.
Food was good but….customer service is bad …
S. G.
Great place for Pakistani food. The karahi was done the way it should be, cooked to perfection. Customer service is really great as well, gives the feeling as if you’re in Lahore and not Melbourne. They’ve done an excellent job renovating the place. It’s usually very busy in the evenings but they don’t take reservations. First come first serve, so go early or risk waiting in line.
I. S.
Best Pakistani Food going around. I have yet to taste a bad dish. Its always busy for dining in and taking away. They have recently moved to a new a larger premises on Lygon Street, although due to covid 19 they cant take full advantage. They have a good social media presence posting information about their dishes and cuisines.
J. G.
Hi We been at ziyka on Saturday travelled from tarneit but return very disappointed. Food was ok not extra ordinary. but receptionist guy very arrogant when I pay he don't say hello, hi even no one asked how was food once they delivered at table. My expectations was different. Thx anyway for food.
M.
Overall good restaurant with authentic south asian food, reasonable price and good ambiance. Definitely a place to head to with friends and family when in mood for Pakistani/Indian food.
Service could be a bit quicker but cant fault overall experience.
The efpos link was down but they have an atm inside the venue
R. P.
Little can I say about how much I used to love eating at Ziyka pre-COVID. The ambience of the place was like that of a North Indian Dhaba, where you'd go for some bloody delicious but affordable food, albeit without extravagant service.
However, my first and most recent (probably the last) visit to their new location was an utter disappointment. Moving to Lygon St means people expect hospitality that is typical of restaurants in that area. The team is understaffed and it seems that they don't communicate within themselves or with the customers as they should. Me and my mate ordered some takeaway after finishing our dinner and found ourselves waiting for over 40 minutes before we asked the waitress if our order was ready only to be told that it was at the front desk. It may have been ready for who knows how long. The food is delicious but, not as good as it used to be. The naan could do with proper leavening and a longer cook time.
In conclusion, the food's good, the service is sloppy and leaves a lot to be desired.
Would recommend takeaway, but neither UberEats nor dine-in.
S. K.
Great food and great service by zain from Gujrat
A. 2.
Food deserves 5 star.
However, customer service needs to be improved.
Was told to sit right under the fan a/c, which spoilt the whole experience.
Tried to reach staff but no one really bothered.
N. S.
Ziyka offers fresh, delicious, authentic curries and always the perfect masala blend. Friendly faces and excellent customer service.
I’ve been coming here since 2019, then during Covid I had a few takeaways for my family on nights when I didn’t want to cook.
Now we are thrilled to come back and get the taste in person again!
You can always enjoy a clean table with a group of friends, whether you want to bring your friends here during shift break, or family for a special occasion, Ziyka will never disappoint. Do try the Makhni Karai if you are a chicken lover, genuine Pakistani style and love in every dish.
Thanks to Ziyka for always feeding us when we are hungry! Will always be back!

Delicious Food & Exceptional Customer Service!
Dude at the reception is always very accomodating and courteous-Today he went miles out of his way to make it up for the small negligence of wait staff-
A Must Visit Venue !!!

I visited Ziyka Carlton with my family and some family friends. Loved the food quality and taste. Customer service was really great and we felt welcomed the moment we entered the restaurant.
Highly recommend and will visit again for sure.

Start the dinner with a selection of kebabs from its kebab platter Malai and kasturi boti are my favourites. Then Tender soft mutton with your choice of gravy with goat pulao makes a day. The hot and soft gulab jamun satisfies your sweet tooth. Portions are good. Really enjoyed dinner at Ziyka. I expect some good deals for me though.

Always had a good experience here. They got new location which is more spacious and nice location i.e. Lygon St. And food is amazing with combination of Indian N' Pakistan curries. My recomendation is achari chicken and goat curry for non veg and in veg, paneer masal and paneer karahi is so good. And now they got kheer for desert which is amazing.
Above all, the food is still cheap.👍👍

Ordered the prawn Madras, lamb masala and chicken biryani. Food was extremely tasty and manager was accomodating in providing us a place to offer our prayers. Will be back!

Food was all amazing, place looks really nice and staff were all friendly. We had the lamb kebab and it was the best I've ever had - definitely recommend that dish. Also the Lahiri Paneer was great too.

It’s one of the best restaurants in the town, I must say. Whenever I need something to eat, there’s no other choice that comes in my mind except Ziyka. The quality of meal is always being testified, and it’s quality, undoubtedly, comes up to the mark. My best wishes and prayers are always with you people.
