Lovely setting. The staff were fantastic, so helpful, welcoming and entertaining. The food of great quality. It did lack seasoning however everything was fresh and made with skill. The fungi pizza was a highlight. Will be back.

This little spot on Mends St South Perth. Its amazing I'll be back for the pasta menu. I ordered the mushroom bruschetta. It was everything I imagined it to be. Pesto and pine nuts with the pecorino cheese was a party in my mouth. Coffee was delicious brewed perfectly no bitterness. Almond milk was creamy. Great service all round, ambience was very laid back with good views of the Swan facing north. Well priced. Will be back again no doubt! Only complaint was no butter on my toast.

Today I had the avocado bruschetta, absolutely amazing flavours! As you can see I cleaned my plate up😋 I ordered my usual dirty chia with almond milk, I took one sip and knew straight away it was full cream milk🤢. For that, a star was lost👎🏽 because I clearly ordered almond milk! Otherwise, staff were friendly and the spot had great vibes all round. Definitely recommended for a tasty breaky!

The ambiance is lively, with the patrons appearing to enjoy the music and food. Given free reign to choose my seating with my date, I choose the back of the restaurant that has plain black seat on one side, and a cushioned long seat on the other with the wooden wall as the backing. The menu appears to have vast choices suitable for all ages and food needs. They also have a side section of which shows what food is marked with gluten free, vegetarian, contains nuts, vegan or dairy free. Business hours are listed as Wednesday to Thursday 5:30-10pm, Friday to Saturday 5:30 to 11pm and Sunday 5pm to 9pm. The drinks menu offers a large section of cocktails, beer and cider, sparkling, rose, white, red, then your regular juices, soft drinks and sweet wines. My first interaction with a server aside from being given choice on where to eat was being offered tap water or sparkling. Once my date arrived, we ordered an entree of prosciutto that was brought out fairly quickly and was, as to be expected delicious. Next we ordered our mains which was 2 of their pizzas, the carnivora and the funghi. They unfortunately weren’t really great pizzas, as they weren’t very hot and the base was soggy and not cooked through. The sauce also left something to be desired. This was a shame as the place seemed to be very popular and packed and has many great reviews, but with the mains being so poorly cooked I doubt we will come back again. Upon paying they asked if everything was alright and they informed me after I told them about the soggy pizzas they would left the chef know, and that was all they did. Due to the ambiance and friendly staff, that was at least worth the 3 out of 5 stars I’m giving them, the food is why they aren’t getting more.

This restaurant has amazing food and real service with care. Andreas and another lovely lady helped us with our prams. We were also checked upon to ensure everything was alright. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. Have only ever gotten coffee and amazing pastries and have now tried the food and love it. Definitely a lovely restaurant to dine in. Must go when in the area.

Everything about this place - from the food, to the river views and staff - was beautiful! We managed to get here 5 minutes before their kitchen closed (due to finishing work incredibly late) and were very grateful that we made it! We really enjoyed the delicious squid ink spaghettini with blue swimmer crab and fungi truffle pizza, as well as the stunning river views from our outdoor table. Between 2 girls, we managed to polish off all the food, and still had room for their tiramisu! The staff were very friendly too. I will AUTOMATIC-ally be recommending this place to friends for a fab Italian meal from now on!

Great little restaurant on Mends Street, nice ambience and the staff are both very helpful and friendly. Really enjoyed the pizza and the nice NZ Sav Blanc to wash it down. A real treat at lunchtime near the river.

Nice modern restaurant on Mends St with an alfresco area to people watch from. Came here with family on a Sunday evening for dinner, we were seated quickly in the alfresco area with lots of room. Had the recommended zucchini fries and they were great, along with two traditional style pizzas and two pastas the duck pappardelle and lamb tagliatelle which had lots of flavour and wonderfully springy past. And the dessert profiteroles was almost too much but too delicious to leave. It's up there on list to be a regular spot to visit.

We didn't intend to dine hear but had a bad experience with another restaurant on the strip so left there and came to automatic, but we were so pleased we did! The staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating, food was great and fast. We were very impressed and will be back! I don't normally dine at Italian restaurants because I am gf but they had a few options available which was a pleasant surprise. Thank you automatic! We had such a lovely time at your restaurant!!

The Zucca is one of the best pizzas in Australia. Pastas are decent too. Meatballs are questionable value at $3.5 each.

Went back with friends for a second visit, was a bit disappointed, one of our pasta dishes had to be sent back because it was raw. It was replaced and then it was fine. The pizza was over topped. When there is so much prusetto on the pizze it doesn't need so much more salty parmesan on it. It lost a star in my book. Won't be back, expect better from a main street restaurant with main street prices. We had a nice dinner, our piazza was very nice however they were too generous with the parmesan cheese on it making the pizza a bit too salty for my taste, considering the prusetto was salty enough. The quid ink pasta was very flavourful and so was the octopus starter. Portion was a bit small to share so I'd recommend one serve each. They were accommodation to our child which was also nice. The service was prompt and attentive.

Great service and lovely Italian menu, table service, powerpoint for laptop (many places don't get why this matters). Same fabulous team as Atomic. If you are looking for the same great coffee but want somewhere a little more private on a Thursday morning then Automatic is the way to go.

I ordered calamari for entree that was nice, and duck breast (special menu) for mains (they have special menu on the board. That was nice too. Next time want to try their pasta and pizza 😁. The service was fast, and friendly staff.

Stopped in for brunch around 10.30. Ordered Avocado Bruschetta and a side of bacon. It was fantastic! Poached eggs done to perfection, the flavours of avocado, rocket, a touch of balsamic melding together beautifully. The bacon tasted as if cooked over an open flame, divine. Prices are spot on, atmosphere is pleasant and the servers are full of energy and friendly. Thank you for a lovely Sunday morning.

We just dropped in for a quick pasta and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality. My husband had fusilli pasta with Italian sausage and I had the luscious ravioli with fried kale ..both homemade pasta.They were delicious and we left our plates clean! Good service ,great atmosphere, lovely food, a glass of rose` on a beautiful day. Perfect!

I ordered a takeaway coffee from here and was charged an extra $1.50 for soy milk! I understand the need to charge for it, but I've never been charged more than 60 cents. $1.50 feels like a huge rip off! I have eaten here before, and the food is fine, which is why I haven't taken off more stars.

Fabulous food and great staff. For the extra star the plates could be heated so the pasta is warmer when it arrives at the table and as it was too noisy for our table of 4 to hear each other, perhaps the acoustics in the restaurant could be looked at? Overall, the food was great (pizza, paparelle and risotto), location was great and we will definitely go back and look for the extra 🌟!

My friends and I grabbed take away pizzas and three side dishes from here the other night. We ordered the truffle fries, arancini and side of greens. The food was delicious and I would happily go back and eat in the restaurant next time. The pizza bases were just how I like them. Not too thick, not too thin. Great location on Mend Street where you can enjoy a walk down to the jetty after dinner.

This was our third time at Automatic, and it's now cemented as a favourite of ours. Each time my wife and I have been here, the service has been excellent. The staff are always welcoming, and attentive enough when it comes to taking food orders and clearing dishes. The food has been outstanding each time which is of course the main thing. Great flavours and good meal portions meant we ate every last bite, and left well and truly satisfied. It's not the cheapest place around, but don't come here for cheap. Come here and pay for quality. It's worth it.

We had lunch at Automatic. Its ambience made us feel like in Italy. Food is very tasty. Gregorlo gave us good recommendation on dishes to order, and paired them with good wine. The gelato is good, too. We will visit this restaurant once a week if we live in Perth.

Cozy trattoria like joint with what I consider authentic thin crust Romana style pizza. It is definitely a place to bring a group or family to partake in share plates of pasta and pizza. Seriously, we shared an entree ( zucchini fritters), gnocchi and pizza as well as dessert. Everything was delicious and fredh. Was so stuffed and still had leftovers for take away ; in a biodegradable container no less. Getting served by the owner felt special and we were left to slow eat and converse with no rush. Considering we ate so much and my buddy had 2 glasses of wine, 90 for two was reasonable. Definitely glad this is only a 5 minute walk from my place!. Looking forward to coming back. It was also good to note no cross contamination of allergens either, my friend has a nut allergy and I can't eat pork. We survived with zero anaphylaxis or hives, yay.

Pizza is delicious, but the rest of the dishes are salty and uneaten. The price and taste don't match at all. The correspondence of the staff is also not very good. However, it is recommended if you want to take away pizza.
