Ok where to start. When me and my partner arrived we were first off the rung and the guys were awesome. The family friendly atmosphere was exactly what we were after, coupled with sensationally good service. These guys made eating gluten free vegan easy. We did a per person rate so they could come up with the menu and we didn't have to choose anything but the drinks (which were also sensational). Thanks heaps Bivouac for everything the experience was awesome and we will be coming back again. Ok just Updating My previous post. This is the place I feel at home to go. The Guys are awesome and the service unimaginable....... This is and was the place after 10years of marriage I wanted and would take my wife too again to have one of if not the best dinning experience in Perth. The Food is well let me show you.

What a place! Absolutely loved the mix of North African and South European cuisine. We ordered the feed me which was super filling and well timed with a few new flavour combinations we certainly enjoyed. Wine menu is not the best but alright. Place gets very busy so make sure to book. Only downer you will smell like food.

This was seriously one of the best dining experiences that we've EVER had. We decided to select the 'Feed Me' menu and there was literally too much food to eat - the serving sizes were generous and the food was outstanding. Dishes ranged from soft shell crab, to salad, to goat chops to amazing donuts. Service was spectacular with very knowledgeable wait staff providing the best recommendations for wine to accompany our meal. Really really really great place! We spent almost three hours enjoying the leisurely pace of the meal and the atmosphere.

Found this place on a whim, late Sunday night, looking for dinner after drinks in the city. I'm coeliac and vegan, with allergies, so usually eating out is difficult. The staff and food were amazing. Think we've found our new favorite restaurant. Will definitely be returning. I can tell the chef has trained/worked in some prestigious restaurants. Felt like I was back in the UK at a Michelin restaurant. Highly recommend!

Been here about..... 10 times :) Apart from the most recent visit (4/5) this place is a consistient 5/5 in terms of food speed, volume and most importantly, taste! We like it more than other food Middle Eastern fusion places like Hadiqua and Hummus Club. The only downside is that they keep "tweaking" my favourite items in their menu into inferior versions. I would have come again and again for the old versions. Whyyyyy. The used to have the best best roasted fried cauliflower dish. We actually make a habit of going to every restaurant to try the cauliflower dish and this used to be hands down the best. Then they removed it from their small pasta menu and turned it into a large plate vegetarian "schwarma" dish and its good.... But it's lost its crown a THE amazing dish there. Very sad but we shall find another. The kefalograviera cheese with mini figs and (orange blossom?) based honey syrup is (was) my close second favourite. This time the cheese didn't taste as amazing (different brand?), the syrup was different, and the fig was replaced with a pepper. Not as good! Bring back the old one! :( This time the mince on top of hummus dish was tasty, but quite a bit smaller than last time. It tasted better i think, because last time was too salty. Market dish dish is always excellent. And lamb neck dish was very good. The typical dish I expect from bivouac. Perfectly cooked meat, punchy and contrasting textures and flavours. However... It was a lot smaller than Bivouac used to be. We also had the two sides... Tabouleh Crunch and Moroccan carrots. These two were excellent! Exotic amazing flavours. Various textures. Delicious. And generous portions. Well come back for these, these are new favourites. Please don't change them! The dessert was interesting. Like a fragrant panna cotta with Granola on top. Bivouac should try and make one of those knafe cheese based desserts.

Absolutely loved our meal today! We did the chefs tasting menu which was excellent. Every bite we had was flavorful and plentiful. The cocktails were on point and the service was excellent. With the standout dish being the salmon and I’m not a cooked salmon fan!! But what made the whole meal even better was one particular server go above and beyond for not just the customers in the restaurant but the customers passing by. He rushed to the door to remove some safety cones when a blind man walked by outside the restaurant and moments after assisted an elderly gentleman from his table down the step and too his wheelchair. I didn’t get the servers name but today you restored my faith in humanity! Thank you for a wonderful meal and great service!

Visited last night for our 38th wedding anniversary. We were hoping to have a special meal out to celebrate and were definitely not disappointed. Staff were very welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. Food was amazing. We chose the Feed Me menu option which is a taster of many of the menu items, a tasty and abundant array of deliciousness. We couldn't finish it all so headed home with leftovers (dinner tonight - winning!) and Turkish delight and the made in house chocolate bark. So headed home satiated and happy with extra yummy goodies. Thank you all... it was a perfect evening. We'll be back.

There’s lots to love about this place but feel they need to make some improvements. My first drink didn’t turn up until well after the first lot of food arrived. We had the veg ‘Feed Me’ option as my friend is vegetarian but I’m not. Yummy food but some dishes were just missing that umami and the only dairy was a yoghurt dressing which was disappointing. The biggest issue I struggled with though was the lack of air conditioning, it would have been 30 degrees in there and it wasn’t a hot night. At least a fan would have been good! It’s so hard to enjoy great food and wine when it’s that hot!

Oh my! We have been fine dining multiple places recently and when my friend recommended Bivouac the interior and the vibe certainly didn't scream fine dining. But the food... The Feed Me tasting menu was fantastic, each dish was fresh, well explained and very tasty with unique flavour combinations and surprising (delightful!) delicious taste sensations (smoked beetroot, flava been dip etc) - our waitress was perfect, friendly, to the point, knowledgeable and confident in wine pairings. Three of us celebrating a friend’s birthday here. Very very tasty food. However for a meal over $200 for 3 people , we were under so much pressure to order, to eat, and to pay. It wasn’t nice at all :( We know the restaurant is super popular and even hard to make the booking sometimes. but a lot of restaurants are popular and we never under so much pressure before. Sorry even a meal in Subway won’t feel so rushed, a bit shame as we really like the food and we appreciate the efficiency of the staff.

A truly special restaurant in the heart of Northbridge - it’s easy to see why Bivouac has become such an institution. The food is incredible (the fish is especially delicious!) and the service is attentive without being overbearing or intrusive. We were so impressed. The only tiny thing missing is a couple of non-alcoholic options on the drinks menu (this pregnant lady would have loved a well-crafted mocktail with her dinner!). In a busy restaurant I feel like a bother asking about/ordering off-menu, so being able to see some non-alcoholic options would be fantastic. Overall, a superb experience! Bivouac is definitely a must-visit.

Bivouac was easily the best dining experience I have encountered. We had a babysitter pull out last minute and the staff at Bivouac accommodated this beyond expectations. Fantastic dining experience. I went to bivouac in their first week of operation many years ago and am happy to report that a level of flawless personable service and food excellence has continued. The menu has unique touches and there are splendid wines and craft cocktails to match. Bathrooms are shared at the back of the venue and there are limited outdoor seats on Murray Street. I enjoyed the local art on the walls too. Moderately priced so make sure you bring your credit card!

Been here twice and both times were awesome. Recently had the shoulder of lamb for two with two side dishes. Now at $68 for two people ($34 each) we got two awesome side dishes and a humongous piece of shoulder lamb on the bone. If you try this don’t order anything else. Took heaps of meat home in a doggy bag. Great value and fantastic food.

I am so glad this was the first place I choose to dine after the restrictions lifted. The food was amazing as always (I can't wait to see what the new chef puts forward) and the service was bang on. Fantastic flavors was the highlight but did have a few misses. Cauliflower was a bit salty but the flavors were fantastic. The beef shish came out cold and was a bit tough but it was rump so that's was not a surprise. The flat bread with zatar was out of this world, best I've had, ever!. Other than that, the staff was harried but accommodating even though they didn't have our reservation. Owner/manager was very kind.

Updated: came here after COVID-19 lock down was eased, so good to be back. Refreshed menu with some of the old favorites still there, plus some great new dishes too. Top notch service as ever 😀 Come here regularly for catch ups with friends, the service is friendly with a smile, welcoming and informative but unobtrusive. My go to menu choice is the feed me option, never disappoints, always changes with the seasons and tastes great. Bar service is top notch from cocktails to helping with wine choices, they never disappoint. You've got my bivness for many dinners to come, keep up the great work ❤

It had been at least a year or two ago since I had been to Bivouac and my memory was fantastic goat cutlets. Well nothing has changed - the food is still very good and so too is the service. The food has a Eastern spice flavouring. The Grilled Haloumi with honey was a winning plate of food. Enjoyed this with the flatbread. The other starter - a fried Turkish sausage with pickled onion salad was amazingly good. The chicken schnitzel bagel was just the right size for lunch.

We had a delicious lunch at Bivouac Canteen today. Our local family brought us here for a treat and WOW we just loved it. The food has a Middle Eastern feel to it, we had lamb chops, artichokes, octopus, beans and hummus, eggplant and so much more. Share platters that we all got to enjoy. A total taste sensation. Their wine list was extensive and the service was impeccable. We also enjoyed viewing the work of local artists displayed on the walls. A wonderful experience.

Took my co-star out on a highly anticipated, post-COVID-19 restrictions, dine-in date, and Bivouac did not fail to satisfy! From delicious early-meal cocktails (Thom Yum - oh my!), through the chef's selection four course taste sensations accompanied by a scrumptuous organic verdejo, we were fit to burst and extremely happy when we left. Delighted by how easily the team accommodated my vegetarian requirements but still snuck in enough flesh for the fella's needs. All the small plates were beautifully balanced and complementary. As always, a great dining experience.

Try Chef's experience for lunch, $40 per person. The spiced carrots were perfection - if somebody turned off the lights I'd lick the plate. That broccoli was close second favourite. It was building up, building up and then collapsed suddenly ... so a bit of an underclimax, but the carrots!!!!

Bivouac is a really creative place to share food with friends. My partner and I have eaten here at least four times over the past 12-18 months and it has been fantastic every time. Their collection of wines by the glass is great and they really fit the food flavors. You can get a plate each but I highly recommend sharing!

Absolutely loved our meal today! We did the chefs tasting menu which was excellent. Every bite we had was flavorful and plentiful. The cocktails were on point and the service was excellent. With the standout dish being the salmon and I’m not a cooked salmon fan!! But what made the whole meal even better was one particular server go above and beyond for not just the customers in the restaurant but the customers passing by. He rushed to the door to remove some safety cones when a blind man walked by outside the restaurant and moments after assisted an elderly gentleman from his table down the step and too his wheelchair. I didn’t get the servers name but today you restored my faith in humanity! Thank you for a wonderful meal and great service!
