We have been many times before and always rated this place very highly. We went tonight and thought the service was lacking from one waitress. Sitting for around 15-20 mins menus closed, with no one caring to take our order even though they were not busy. People who walked in after us were served before us. Waitress finally came with no apology and not friendly at all. Food always great, but there are too many other wonderful places to go to that offer perfect service next time.

Fantastic pizza and pasta restaurant convenient to the Crown precinct. We flew in on the early flight from Melbourne and were dying for lunch. The staff had no hesitation in "breaking curfew" for us by serving us lunch items almost 3 hours early during breakfast service. The meals were great value, extremely tasty and well seasoned. It was prompt and the prawns and scallops in my dish were extremely generous. I travel to this area semi regularly (bi-monthly) so will happily make this one of my regular meal stops! Thank you again from some very hungry travellers!!

Food was generally quite good, but service was a little curt and awkward with lots of near mistakes. Our mains took a while to arrive and we weren't given the option to choose cooked vegetables over salad. Having said that, I would happily give them another shot any day!

Good taste was great, steak was juicy and very well done. But service and price make the experience bad. Waiters don’t look up to see customers and see if they need something, which makes it bad as you won’t get what you need. Prices are Super high compared to other places, these plates with an entree and one desert cost us $150 AUD.

Was craving a good pizza so thought to try out Catalano's. We made a booking before we got there, which they forgot to write down in the diary, which was a little disappointing. Never the less they found us a table and we continued on with the night. Good choice of food, we went for the seafood platter and a pizza. Food came out promptly (especially given how busy it was). Had good flavour and the portion sizes were generous. Staff were friendly and came out multiple times throughout the night to check on customers.

Husband and I were searching for an Italian place near Vic Park and came across this place on the internet. We were pleasantly surprised with our meals. The portions were huge and well worth their prices, and the food was absolutely delicious. I ordered Alla Vodka and it was amazing! Husband loved his meal as well. The only thing I will say is that the garlic bread was a tiny bit dry, for me anyway. The chairs were super uncomfortable...as soon as we sat down we looked at each other and said this feels weird. And then the waitresses, they were not rude or anything, but definitely not as friendly as I would have liked. Like I said, the food was amazing, but I didn't give it 5 stars because of these other small things that bothered me a little bit.

While the food was good and serving sizes generous the service was poor. I understand they were busy but the surrounding tables were served quickly wait staff kept returning to them without issue. While we had to call 3 different wait staff before someone took our orders. We were not offered a chance to order drinks. My partner went to the counter to order but had to wait for someone to get told to come to us.

The steak was good but don't come here to expect to eat Italian. The pasta was overcooked and overpriced and they do stuff like pasta with avocado. The chef is not Italian and their interpretation of Italian desserts is very very very free. Just another one of the many Italian "wannabes", good just for anyone but Italians.

We loved it. The food almost falls off the plate, there's so much of it. Not only did we make pigs of ourselves at dinner; my Wife, Sister & Mother went for dessert. When it comes to Catalano's, bring your appetites. You won't be disappointed.

Its good place with strong family ambience. They have discount for seniors, so I saw a lot of seniors having meals here. They have a deal on one of weekday, pizza+beer only for $25. The vodka spaghetti was good, and we ordered the smoked salmon pizza. So worth it! We have canolli as dessert, just taste basic nothing special.

The wait staff are very helpful and the food was fantastic. We were a big group of about 16 people and all our orders came out perfectly, no issues whatsoever. They don’t usually do split billing and it says so on their menu (or somewhere in the restaurant, I can’t recall), however, one of my friends called them up and asked if it was possible to do it for our group, and they agreed. The whole night went on without a hitch. Would definitely recommend them for big groups and special occasions.

We go here quite often and normally love it. Went last week for dinner on Sunday night. After sitting at the table for 15 minutes with no service we had to get someone's attention to serve us. Ordered our meals and drinks, we ordered 2 serves of garlic bread which came out fairly quickly.. when I looked at ours compared to the ones served to the table next to us.. ours were half the size. Drinks came out in dribs and drabs.. mains came out and weren't to the usual standard. Very under staffed considering when we booked they told us we could only have a 1 hour booking. Had to ask for them to take coffee and dessert orders. Not sure we'll rush back.

The service is amazing. We came before 6pm, so it wasn’t busy, however some evenings I walk past and the place is packed. The servers are very helpful patient and nice. We asked about my partner getting to taste the salami as at some locales it can be too spicy and they were very accommodating. Most importantly the chef truly cares. On noticing me looking, he gave a kind wave. He came and asked us afterwards how the pizza was. What a gentlemen. Eat at this place or you’ll suffer from hellfire.

This is a great family Italian restaurant . The service is first class from the moment you sit down. They are very aware when your drink is finished and quickly ask you if you want another one. We went there on a very busy Saturday night and they squeezed us in. I was very impressed with the level of service for how busy they were. The meals came out so fast and the quality was good. Sunday mornings = no parking unless you're on two wheels. BMW MCC WA - meets for breakfast, coffee and to tell stories. If u have a BMW bike it's well worth a visit - 7 to 9. Food is good and coffee hot 😎

What looked like homemade pasta and delicious bolognaise sauce was unfortunately overshadowed by a stony faced waitress and no hospitality. The food is good, not cheap and an entree sized position for small eaters would have been appreciated. We could have savoured more of the menu then as the lunchnprtion was large. So not stingy at all. A little cold in the deco, this place just didn't have much heart for me. It may be enjoyed more by others as they are clean and efficient. A smile and chat by staff would have made the experience so much more enjoyable as I went there with my seniors mother and they like that. As migrants I noticed that other people got a big smile and service while we waited. But it's efficient and a good chef making tasty food.

Make sure you make reservations for dinners especially on weekends. We were lucky enough to walk in and get 2 seats. Other than that a big pasta serving and good wood fired pizza options. They have a good breakfast menu as well only until 11am.

I’ve been in this place yesterday night, Their pasta was fresh and good but full of garlic (not mentioned in the menu). Not a good point when people like me doesn’t tolerate it... I never seen in Italy a restaurant charging 3$ for some bread, 4$ for a different type of pasta and 1$ to bring the food you have paid for in a plastic container ! Service was middling... This is not a traditional Italian restaurant if it’s what you’re searching for. As good points the food is tasty and fresh, it’s a very nice and clean place. Unfortunately I’ll not come back because I’m intolerant to garlic and prices are disproportionate...

Had a catch up with old friends here. The food was amazing. Huge portions, great flavour. I had the Arrabbiata. Wow! Packed full of chilli and sausage pieces. I loved it. The salads looked fresh. Been here a dozen times now and never had a bad meal. Staff are typically good, but you can sometimes be left waiting to take your order for a while after being seated when it's busy. But overall, food quality and portions are both excellent, the price is appropriate, and the service is great 90% of the time.

Had a really enjoyable meal today. Not many veggie options...unless you ask for them and the staff were very helpful in arranging a veggie option. The burger special was $11 and came out with side serving of delicious chips 5/5 and garden salad 5/5 very tasty. The burger itself was huge, so big that the top bun was breaking apart from trying to contain all the food 👌🏽 Very enjoyable meal and nice atmosphere.

came here with some friends for a dinner and was not disappointed. Ordered 2 cocktails, both were brilliant, as well as the baby rump steak meal with chips and salad, medium rare with mushroom sauce. The steak was one of the best i've ever had, tender and juicy, cooked to perfection. I'm not normally a fan of mushroom sauce but I was very pleasantly surprised at how good mine was. Our waitress was lovely, friendly and funny and down to earth, very accomodating and helpful to those of us who needed it. Overall my experience was fantastic and I highly recommend this place!

We've been going there for years. Food even better this time round. Coffee was well made. I say this as I always have black coffee, and you can't hide well brewed coffee if it's black. Place is huge and great for when you want to chat as its accoustics doesn't echo like most cafes. Parking everywhere and good for wheelchair access. Service is great too. It's also in the Entertainment Book, so you can get a discount.

I go here regularly, but it can be hit and miss. Great pasta and food, service is usually wonderful, but at my last visit I must say it was a little average. I got seated in the door way where people kept walking into me, table was sticky and dirty glasses as well as a dirty fork I had to ask for another which the waitress politely got for me. Won’t stop me from going back, but think the management need to reconsider seating people in the entry door way.

We went in as we had an entertainment book voucher and we were surprised. Walked into a nice warm room, friendly staff greeted us, and on this particular Friday night when Vic Park was packed and parking was a struggle, to get a table quickly and in a nice position was a bonus. Service was friendly and courteous and efficient. We ordered pasta dishes, my wife the cannelloni, me the Al funghi, they were simple, light and enjoyable and a good size portion. Restaurant experiences are subjective, as evident by the varying posts. However, I would gladly return to this restaurant and recommend it to friends. I attended with 6 others and the food came relatively quick, had substantial servings and most importantly, was quite delicious. When we were ready to order we had to hail a waitress, but, given how busy it was it was not big deal and in reality it's not that uncommon in Perth to have to do so. If you want a water/waitress to come by every 5 mins during your mean, go to America where they work for tips.
