This a beautiful, cultural sort of restaurant for those who wanna try some authentic Italian. I have always loved Italian food and guess this place will feature in my top list in Perth. It’s a little hard to get seating but the wait is worth it.

Was lovely eating there. Plenty of food. Couldn't finish it. Lovely staff. They were real busy. I liked the setting and the service. Fair pricing. Left happy.
S.
Absolutely delicious Italian food. Was crowded on a weekday night but only queued for around 20-30 minutes.
Staff were friendly and efficient. For food, we ordered the squid ink pasta with tomato chilli sauce, carbonara, truffle mushroom pizza and the smoked salmon pizza. Everything was delicious and the food was quick to be served. The portions were huge for 5, and we were very satisfied.
The star of the show though was definitely the tiramisu for dessert! A must-order :-) Would definitely return again.

Huge portions! Tried the marinara pasta and calzone pizza! Very tasty! I needed someone to help me finish both, but it turned out that someone else was me! My stomach rested a while. Then had the lime tart. Delicious!
Next time will order just one pasta or pizza!

I can say it was one of the best Italian food I’ve tried in Perth… food was awesome but they don’t have enough space in their merchant…. Any way I liked it and I will try it again…

Delicious italian food in South Perth! Really enjoyed, not very expensive consideing the size of the meals! Only detail they dont sell alcohol. I will definitely come back! Thank you!

Really nice take away Pizza, quickly made and service was fantastic.
To recieve the full experience i would recommend to dine inn as the restaurant has a great vibe when in there.
Hard to go past a great wood fire pizza
See you next time

I never remember to take photos to post because by the time the food arrives I'm so hungry and excited to start that I devour most of it straight away. Case in point: half-eaten tiramisu picture only.
Squid ink pasta in spicy sauce is my personal favourite, and I won't get sick of those insane chilli mussels - do yourself a favour and get the garlic bread to go along with it. Thank me later.
When you see one of those dome-shaped ovens you know the pizza is going to be great.
This is one of the places overseas visitors yearn to come back for when we can travel again. Says a lot seeing as they do visit from a variety of places with impressive food as well.

This place is old school Italian. Hasn’t changed in the 20 plus years I have eaten here. The food is still the same, the service is still brisk and good. Pasta, pizza, all is good. The Calzone is freakn huge!! This place brings back memories for all the right reasons..

Went to Ciao Italia (273 Mill Point Rd, South Perth) for dinner this evening.
We’ve been here before, and both of us enjoyed every visit. This time was no different.
We entered and had a friendly welcome. Because it was early, the infamous line hadn’t started yet, however it was a different story an hour later, with the place packed and noisy as usual.
The other half had mushroom soup as entree, which she states was very different yet better than the typical mushroom soups she has had prior.
Her mains was a Pasta Marinara, which to quote her, was ‘amaze balls’ and didn’t require any additional seasoning or such.
I had garlic bread followed by Margherita Pizza. I’ve always enjoyed their garlic bread. Hence why the photo only shows one slice. The other 3 were eaten before it dawned on me that I hadn’t taken a photo.
Finally, onto the pizza. The 13” pizza delivered on a stand was delicious. The dough was chewy and flavoursome, there was plenty of cheese and just the right amount of oiliness.
I’d have preferred a little more Basil but that’s just being picky. All in all, the pizza was a solid 8/10.
We’ll definitely be back again, and early as usual to avoid the queue.

Delicious Pizza🍕 and pasta 😋 so worth a wait

Food was amazing! Portion sizes are huge, service is spot on.
Only down side is the restaurant is a little dirty.
Definitely recommend though

There is line out the door on most nights. Now that I have actually eaten here, I understand why.
This is now my favourite Italian restaurant in Perth. It's that good. The chef could be heard shouting from the kitchen, it's hilarious.
It's squishy with Cafe tables and chairs with checked table clothes. Old world decorations and colour palette it feels like and old Italian Cafe in Europe.
Recommend the squid ink pasta.
There is limited parking so if you have a group it might be better to carpool.

Very delicious food and nice atmosphere like you are in Italy 🇮🇹. The waiting is not too bad around 15 to 20 min but is worth it. The service is very good

Spontaneously visited for an early dinner and left incredibly satisfied. The pasta was tasty and the mussels were delicious. Service was wonderful, all smiles! Get the tiramisu even if you are too full 🤣👍🏼

FOOD IS GREAT, LOVELY STAFF however seafood marinara pasta mix tasted very different from before, very hard.

Friendly staff. Asians fav Italian go-to restaurant. A bit of a tight squeeze if you're dining in. I bring all my Singaporean tourists here. They love the atmosphere and the dishes.
Be prepared to Q. The line gets filled up pretty fast. Be prepared to wait.

Awesome food! Have to go early for dinner to avoid crowds. The mussels were fresh, we ordered for less spicy but have to go with either spicy or less spicy for better taste. The 2 pizzas were great and the pasta was flavourful. It's good for sharing and we had the below for 7 adults and 1 kid. Not too bad and the total bill comes up to $120+.
M. S.
I normally don't get impressed easily, but this place is awesome, little place, was absolutely jam packed, but we got our order served so quickly can't believe it yet, very authentic taste, we tried Woodfired Pizza and Pasta, both were excellent. Risotto was ok, food was bit pricy but they server good quantity. The hospitality was unmatched. Staff is so so friendly. Will visit again and again and can recommend to anyone. Keep up the good work.

Amazing Italian food with great service.
Their food portion is large and meant for sharing.
Tiramisu for dessert is a must!!! So do leave space for it (:
Will definitely visit again.
R. W.
Wonderful authentic Italian dining experience. Only BYO. Definatly use the share a plate option as portion sizes are huge. Alternatively order the smaller size. Parking can be a problem on site. But alternatives are available in the area. Staff are very efficient and friendly without being overpowering.

By far, one of my favourite restaurants in Perth! The food has been consistently good over the last 8 years. I have never been disappointed by the food there. You can't book and you have to queue up BUT it is worth it. It's BYO, service is top notch and the decor does make you feel like you are in a small restaurant in Italy. My favorite is squid ink linguine with creamy sauce. One thing that is great is that they always give you heaps of prawns and chickens, not stingy at all. Last but definitely not least, do yourself a favour and have the majestically creamy Tiramisu! This will blow your mind.
Y.
The Ciao Italia fettuccini was the best white sauce pasta I've ever had! Super tasty sauce that tasted garlicky and mushroomy, and really tasty chicken pieces tasted like they had actually been marinated in a well salty brine. For $29.50 the serving was large enough to comfortably feed 2 people. The porcini pizza was good, but I'd say Alfred's still makes the best wood-fired pizza. The tiramisu's mascarpone layer was insanely good, it had a velvety smooth texture unlike any I've had before and was a heavenly consistency. Unfortunately the tiramisu was let down by its overly wet and soggy ladyfingers layers. I'd still get it again anyway.
Overall highly recommend! Other tables seemed to very much enjoy their Vongole pasta, the bruschetta seemed to come with an entire half a bag of mixed salad on the side, and the calzone was literally the size of a whole pizza folded in half, only super puffed up too. You can request a little stand if you're ordering pizza and it doesn't come with one - saves some space on the table as everything comes on a really large plate!
Note: 50c surcharge for takeaway containers.
Note: We arrived 5 min before opening time on a Sunday evening, and the queue was already 16 people long.
K. B.
There's Italian food, then there's Ciao. Even with the long wait just to get in the food was well worth it. The ambience was perfect for that little cosy Italian restaurant feel.
C. L.
Simple and great Italian food! The staff were friendly and had a good sense of humor. The food arrives fast and hot too! The pizza carnivore was full of ingredients with a very flavorful cheese. The dough was thin and crispy with a chewy crust great for dipping. The calzone was huge and stuffed with meat, cheese and veg. I though that it would be filling and heavy, but due to the right proportions, it was light and refreshing!
The chicken parma was good too! The cheesy topping was what made it so special. The risotto is something you need to call. The mushrooms and the garlic flavour with the rice just well done was fantastic. The chilli mussels too, you need to order them. The sauce is packed with tomato flavor with a spicy tone to cut through the sour tomatoes.
The only thing that I felt was not very good was the seafood marina. The other loved it but I found the flavor normal and the fish not firm enough. Felt like a dory fish. The sauce was good and the ingredients was plentiful.
One more thing everyone needs to do is to end off with the tiramisu, lime key pie and coffee. Those are fantastic! The tiramisu was soft and the biscuit well soaked in rich coffee! You need to end off with dessert for sure. The coffee is also of good quality!
C. P.
Service was quick considering how busy they were, staff were also friendly, serving sizes were quite big, the price was cheap and the primavera was extremely nice as well as the Lime tart, however the garlic bread was less then average, the scaloppine my husband said was ok, tiramisu had way too much cheese to coffee and biscuit ratio and the restaurant was cramped.
J.
The Ciao Italia pasta was the nicest of all we tried! The seafood in the marinara were fresh but nothing to shout about. Rose sauce was alright, bit too garlicky for my liking. Apparently this place is a car crime hotspot so please store your valuables away! A patron actually got his car rear view smashed when parked across the street
m.
The best Italian place in Perth. Friendly and excellent service, big portion, and super delicious food! Make sure to come early so you don't need to queue to get in.
G. W.
The food was incredible! Huge portions.
(BYO alcohol)
B.
Wow! How special. Had several different dishes, including also a pizza. My was I impressed. Will be going again. Love the atmosphere, the food, the service. Couldn't believe how good the tiramisu was.
S. S.
The food was very good. Real authentic Italian cuisine. No criticisms about the food or staff. The only real problem with this place is that because the restaurant is so small it's quite cramped so more often than not you'll have to line up for a while to get a table.
E. D.
Still a great place to grab a takeaway pizza. Recently discovered this beauty - the Burrata pizza with a lovely soft mozzarella style cheese and yummy fresh prosciutto. Basil would have made it even better but the rocket is good.
J. S.
The most amazing delicious Italian food I have ever eaten anywhere in the world. It was like family cooked. I will be back incredible. Be proud of your restaurant and the exceptionally high standard meals. 😍
r.
When I first came to Perth in 2015, I would have given 5 stars. In 2016, I would have given 4 stars and now 3 stars. In 2015, staff and environment was friendly and welcoming. In 2016, staff was getting rude and expected us to order more food than we want and gave us a unpleasant vibe. The sort where he said nothing verbally but his attitude said everything. Now, I feel that prices of food is way too high, the wait is way too long, restaurant is really cramp and small and so the dining experience is bad. To be fair, food is still good, but in comparison with many other Italian restaurants with regards to taste, price, service and dining experience, it is over-rated. However, their tiramisu is excellent and the new matcha tiramisu is amazing.
B. T.
Best Italian in a long time. Portions are huge. So many take away and deliveries while we were there and still they kept that kitchen hopping. Thank you so much. Everyone should eat your food at least once in their life.
Y. N.
Best Italian food in Perth. Came here twice and was pleased on both times. This place can be a little busy and requires some waiting. But the food was great.
S. B.
Lived up to the hype. Been there for 20 years and you can see why. Huge portions but all very tasty. My favourite was the Vodka pasta and the pizza we had the Toscano was great
A. K.
Haven't been here for many years.
The place is still the same. We came at 5:40pm and its 1/3 full. This place still draws a crowd.
Food is taste. Only item I found for improvement is the saltiness. A little bit more salty.
The tiramisu is superb. Creamy and toffee. A must to finish off the meal.
Hope you have a good time.
K. L.
Waiting for a table is now manageable with the restaurants newly opened extension. The food is great especially the pizzas, chili mussels and of course, the tiramisu is a must try. The restaurant is always bustling so don’t expect a quiet romantic evening. The service is really great and friendly. Do come here in a group so you can share the gigantic portions!
J. J.
Delicious. Large portions (even with ordering smaller plates). 5/5
M. M.
Nice environment though it can get a bit cramped. We ordered gnocchi, mussels, tiramisu and they are quite tasty. Food portion is big, so small eaters, please take note. Staff are friendly and service is good as well.
J. N.
My favourite place for pizza, pasta and gorgeous tiramisu. Arguably best in town. Generous portion, cheerful italian vibe all around and great customer service. Little waiting is reasonable as this place is very popular amongst locals as well as tourists.
A. A. d. S.
Great food and generous portions. Very hard to get a table at the restaurant though. It easier to just get take away.
M. H.
Top notch food, fun atmosphere especially when it’s someone’s birthday and all reasonable prices makes this a Perth classic. The takeaway is just as good although always better at the restaurant. I was always very impressed with how much the staff can fit on the tables.
Recommend the chilli mussels, ciao Italia pasta, the rigatoni and of course that garlic bread, all washed down with a tiramisu.
Y. C. T.
Lovely Italian restaurant in the housing area - brings us back to our trip in Italy. Staffs are really pleasant and friendly. Thankfully we skipped lunch and had our early dinner at 5pm sharp - this place got really crowded by 6pm on a Thursday and there was a line outside. We ordered our main courses in small portion, which is $5 less (I think), even then they’re huge! One main course usual portion usually serves 2-3 people. But we loved them all, especially the spaghetti carbonara. The waiter is so thoughtful to highlight to me that it contains undercooked eggs when he saw me being pregnant and he requested for the kitchen to make sure it’s properly cooked. The tiramisu is too irresistible to pass and we shared a piece, which is big too. Seatings may be quite tight but everything else is splendid!

100% must try if you are a tourist, one of the best Italian restaurant I have been to in years. Lets talk about why it is good: 1. Fast and good customer service, the service staff makes the place homely and very welcoming. 2. The food is awesome, very verryyyy tasty, its good trust me. Personally I went there twice and tried a variety of stuff but not the full menu, coming from that perspective I would recommend the Carbonara (21 AUD if i remember correctly) the star of the show, Mushroom soup (14.50 AUD), White cream sauce pizza with prosciutto and truffle oil dressing (28 AUD), Calamari (37.50 AUD) and Rose squid ink pasta ( rose sauce is the combination of the tomato and white cream sauce, it was the first time I was trying it and it was kinda cool and interesting). 3. The interior of the restaurant was interesting with Italian signage around the restaurant and the place was buzzing with people swarming in during the dinner rush. 4. The desserts are to die for especially the Tiramisu, the best I have ever eaten. The other dessert I would recommend would be the Chocolate Hazelnut Triangle, it was delicious it reminded me of like nutella for some reason. Now comes the cons of this place: The waiting time was long about a 45 minutes wait for both times I was there, that is why going with a group of people would be better because you could kill time by having conversations with friends and you could try more food at one sitting. The price is average not too expensive in my opinion for a restaurant in Perth Australia. The second thing would be the remoteness of the place considering the fact that I was a tourist, I had no car to drive there. It was like 30 minutes bus ride I remember if you took 32 from Perth station and it stops outside the restaurant but after a time you could only take like 34 back to like Mandurah Station and the walk to the 34 bus stop was like 1 km plus, its good that after a scrumptious meal you could walk off the calories you intake I guess. To be honest this place was still totally worth it even after the cons, if I ever Perth again I would definitely visit this restaurant again. I would rate this place a 10/10 and it definitely receives my stamp of approval. If you ever visit Perth, don't forget to visit this place. Ps, I told the guy in the picture I would review this place but according to my Sherlock detective skill I have a feeling he is like the owner's son (IM just guessing, Im not sure). This place is legendary like barney would say. Ouh yea just to add the mussels was alright, just remember to stir the bottom sauce up so you get like the a equal sauce to mussel ratio, food science boy. Okay thanks for reading it till the end, just visit this place when you go Perth trust me :)
A. O.
Brilliant authentic take away pizza.
N.
Without any doubts this is the best Italian restaurant in Perth. No booking possible.. just stand outside in line.. but it's worth it!
L. P.
Someone recommended Ciao Italia and i finally found the time to bring the family for a meal there. The atmosphere was very nice. A very busy place but well managed. Very nice staff and the food was so tasty. I have never been to Italy but my wife has and she mentioned that Ciao Italia is as authentic as it gets. We will certainly go back again one day.
A. H.
Very tasty pizza and pasta, barramundi was delicious. And insanely large portion sizes that lasted me 2 meals.
Only downside is finding parking nearby but it's easily worth it
Y. L.
Very popular in Perth. Delicious Italian food. Very busy so no reservation is allowed.
b. c.
The best Tiramisu and chili mussel I have ever ate! The waiters are so nice and interesting. But remember to come early! Otherwise you have to wait.
J. D.
Best Italian in town. Our favourite since years and the quality has remained consistent. Highly recommended!
J. L.
Very authentic italian food. Be prepared to queue and wait as there is always a crowd. Please also order the dessert - tiramisu (not in menu) it’s so good! Parking can be a pain. There is a lot of notice telling and warning people to be careful as there are alot break-in in the neighbourhood and unfortunately we are one of those with our car being broken in (our rear windscreen has been smashed). We were parked along Tate Street which is right opposite Ciao Italia.
M. M.
Ciao Italia, one of my favourite Italian restaurants in my favourite towns - South Perth. The restaurant has a history of serving great Italian food.
There's usually a wait during dinner and they don't do reservations. In my honest opinion, it's worth the wait.
The waiters are friendly and enthusiastic.
Personally, I highly recommend the calamari, chilli mussels, calzone and tiramisu.
R. W.
Food was very nice. Very consistent in quality and very large meals, always needing to ask for take away containers for pastas.
The pizzas are definitely in the top portion of my list of pizzas I've had in life in perth or when I lived in Europe.
The staff are absolutely wonderful, especially the guy that almost always is at the door doing seat downs (potentially the manager of the south Perth venue). He is very friendly and always puts a smile on your face.
Biggest con with ciao italia is, they are walk in only and do not do table reservations. Unfortunately been a few times of trying to get a seat but have a line that could mean you need to wait anywhere from 30 mins to over an hour.
And the only option is to usually stand as there is very little bench space to wait on. If a reservation option becomes available I would definitely dine here more frequently and because of this I would not have a birthday or anniversary dinner here.

Authentic Italian
Perfect dinner date!

Great meals. Loved it, have been wanting to go there forever and it was well worth the wait!! Huge portions and really good taste. What's more, the service was personal and much appreciated. A must go!!

First time at Ciao Italia and the food was delicious! We shared amongst friends and was totally worth it. Tiramisu is amazing. Fabulous service from the staff. 5/5

Amazing foods with great stAff.Very traditional we enjoyed it a lot. Love every meal they serve!

What a fantastic place for a meal, my partner and I Where highly recommend this place while we where staying in Perth from locals.
When we arrived hear it was alive with active and it told me one thing straight up “ expect great food “.
Where lucky enough to get a table straight up as this little place can get quite busy even people where queuing as we left .
Pasta was our choice for dinner and was everything we expected and a bit, price is very fair for meal size because if your not a big eater you could easy share .
The service hear is also of a high standard along with that are meals are prepared fast and well presented.
C. P.
Delicious food, friendly service & good value ( big portion).
O. C.
This is an authentic Italian restaurant and serving fantastic Italian dishes. From pizzas to spaghetti, they are simply wonderful. Oh! Almost forgotten to mention, their deserts are the best too. Highly recommended.
J. M.
Absolutely amazing, great food and massive portions, staff are super friendly with a great vibe in the restaurant.
Don't be put off by the wait as it's totally worth it.
T. R.
We came for dinner with our 5 year old daughter. She loved the bolognese and the super sized serving fed her the next day too.
The hearty food is generously proportioned. A single main could easily feed two.
We enjoyed the bruschetta, spag bol, lasagne & saltini.
The food was served super fast and the Italian waiters were lovely.
Definitely recommend this place to someone wanting a warm Italian experience.
K. “. N. P.
I went to Italy the night i went there. Noisy happy all seats full. That says lots. I had enough for next night's dinner! Lovely Italian accents. Food was delicious
N. F.
Small venue and recommended to get there early to put your name down for a table. Wait times can be excessive on the weekends. Food is pretty tasty and portions are very generous. Enjoyable!
C. Y. W.
This is the best restaurant that I have visited in Perth. They provided not only awesome dishes but also great service. Moreover, the prize is not high at all. Everybody enjoyed their food then.
S. S.
I mean what can I say! They know they're good!! Amazing food! Wonderful service! Loved the atmosphere! Will definitely come again and again!!!
S.
Just had a dinner here today for the first time.
It was awesome.
Nice pasta, pizza and chilli mussel.
Plus, amazed with quite big portion size.
L. J. N.
Food are just simply too delicious 😋😋 Mussels - MUST TRY 😍
You may be shocked of the crowd queuing outside the restaurant but you don't really have to wait long for a table. Good food always need some queue I guess 😜
M. N.
Didn’t want to visit in the first place because I heard there are usually queues. But as friends strongly highly recommended it, we decided to give it a try. Really no regret for a little queue. Food taste so good, friendly staff, reasonable price. Do expect a little queue.
d.
I had a classic stinky spaghetti w mushrooms garlic & chillie cooked to perfection 🥰 made with the best olive oil I've EVER had. I felt full for the night.
The Tiramasu desert was OMG scrumptious as home made can be. Portions sizes, generous. Service, highly professional, sturdy chairs, warm lighting and respectful. Well worth the wait.
Perfect for date night or the whole family 👪 ❤
A. N.
Lovely staff and amazing food. Portion sizes are massive but I'm really glad we had some leftovers for lunch the next day! The pasta was divine and strawberry tart was just the right amount of sweetness. Yum!
T. J.
The wait is totally worth it, you can't reserve a table and it's BYO alcohol, but you won't mind the wait once the enormous portions of food arrive. You can ask for a smaller portion for the second or third time you visit, or ask for take home boxes at the end of your meal (or share 2-3 meals between 4-6 people easily). Desert is a must so try to leave space for that as well.
J. R.
Some of the best italian places to dine in. A little pricey but the portion size goes a long way. Pasta was amazing. Bloody delicious. Settings a little small and tight but worth dining in. 11/10 would come back.
F. M.
BEST Italian food in Perth. My favourites are the Squid ink pasta with Prawns & Rosa sauce, and the Porcini mushroom pizza with Prosciutto, Ricotta & Truffle oil. Well-balanced flavours that complement one another without being too overpowering, that leaves you wanting more.
Other great options are Lasagne, Seafood marinara and Mushroom risotto. For dessert, Tiramisu is a must-try. Also 5 stars to their service!
S. K. W.
Lovely ambiance and food ❤ portions can be a bit large. Good advice to order one less side/main if you've a small stomach :)
B. M.
If u like food I mean real food quality fresh abel to taste smell each ingredient out of ur meal. And u are sick of getting a big plate served with hardly any food on it walk out feeling hungry and hardly have a dollar left in ur wallet to get some McDonald's after. Den Don't waist any more time go to Ciao Italia
I guarantee u it's the best Italian restaurant in Western Australia .
And I believe any Italian going there to eat will say the same.
Love that place. Wish I life a bit closer I be eating or order there at least every 2 day if not every day at least 1 meal.
Stuff is friendly and alert to make u feel welcome and have u served with ur favourite meals desert's in no time.
Thank you for a amazing meal every time without failure.
K. J.
Food was great. They had a wierd policy where we had to order all our food at once, couldn't do entrees then mains. The portions are gigantic though and food great.
E. S.
Pros : italian style decor, friendly staffs, good food
Cons : long queue, no personal portion just sharing portion, pasta good but for a wood oven pizza crust bit soggy not crispy topping and sauce good though. Tiramisu is the highlight definitely have to order item!!!
s. c.
Best Chilli mussels I’ve ever had... and also their Calzone is the best... surely recommend to everyone.. enjoy...
K. S.
Popular Italian restaurant - serve big portions - heard the tiramisu is a must for dessert

Great food and great service after a long wait on the queue for a table of three. Enjoyed the spaghetti marinara and spicy chilly mussels! Beautifully cooked and mouthwatering!
A.
Good service but very crowded.. had to squeeze tightly between tables to get in and out.
S. M. J.
Nice cozy place, great pizza they make from scratch from woodfire, spaghetti balognese is fantastic as well as the other pastas, highly recommended.

Amazing little place, prices are slightly high but the portion sizes are massive and the food quality, service and atmosphere is great. Only recommendation would be to cut down the portions on some dishes (as silly as that sounds). so much great tasting calamari can become a bit much after so many peices! even still, this place absolutistly deserves 5 stars and a visit as one of the go tos for Italian in Perth
D. M.
Always a great experience here. The staff are friendly and the service is excellent. Come early because there's always a queue!
Try the Chilli Mussels and the Tiramisu!
E. M.
This place has been insanely busy everytime I've driven past and after eating there I totally get why!
Everything we tried was beautiful. The portions are very large, but that just means you get to take it home for tomorrow. Highly recommend trying their pizzas!
The decor inside makes you feel like you've been transported to Italy. Perfect place to take a date or your family.
Will definitely be back!
E. O.
Wow Totally amazed. Food was fully of flavors. Excellent customer service. Well done guys. Totally recommend this Place.
J. L.
Amazing place to have an amazing meal. If you cannot eat a lot, do not order too much food. Portion is huge but it tastes great!
B. B.
Always a great experience here! Delicious food, welcoming atmosphere, and of course, excellent service!
D. N. G.
It just never dies this place is. Good food tight space, feel like in Italy really. 😂 good people serving us.
H. T.
Have been there for 10 years. The dishes are still as good as 10 years ago. One of the best in Italian restaurant in Perth
Y. R. B.
Best Italian food I’ve ever tasted. The hand made tortellini was my favourite but nothing to complain about all other dishes. The bruschetta is a good appetizer for a group of 4. The servings are very generous. Mussels are in season during the summer so they’re very fresh too. No matter how much you eat, save some space for the Tiramisu. Absolute best in my 30 odd years of life and I scorn all Tiramisu back at home ever since I last tasted it. Back for it two years later, it’s still the best.
H. S.
Friendly staff and tasty food! However the table right next to the kitchen was not comfortable.
S.
Fantastic authentic Italian cuisine where you will be returning for more after your first experience. Warm, friendly and helpful staff and great ambience!! Bellisimo!!
A. J.
Absolutely delicious meal. Garlic bread was perfect the gnocchi and chicken parmigiana were exactly what we expected, delicious. The hazelnut tiramisu is the best we’ve ever had.True Italian cuisine. The staff were so quick and attentive. Will be coming back!!!
Also get there early! The line gets long. Worth it!
T. W. O.
Best place to enjoy Italian foods in Perth WA. Must order their tiramisu!
o. Q.
Great little Italian restaurant good food, service great and large portions. Gnocci was nice an light full flavoured sauce. Calamari was tender but probably could of done with another lemon. Highly recommend it. Keep up the good work guys.
珍. g.
Awesome food and very good service, better than Nedland one.
S. S. (. E.
Best italian food. I loved the tiramisu....
T. J.
The wait is totally worth it, you can't reserve a table and it's BYO alcohol, but you won't mind the wait once the enormous portions of food arrive. You can ask for a smaller portion for the second or third time you visit, or ask for take …
M. M.
Ciao Italia, one of my favourite Italian restaurants in my favourite towns - South Perth. The restaurant has a history of serving great Italian food. …
J. L.
Very authentic italian food. Be prepared to queue and wait as there is always a crowd. Please also order the dessert - tiramisu (not in menu) it’s so good! Parking can be a pain. There is a lot of notice telling and warning people to be …
F. M.
BEST Italian food in Perth. My favourites are the Squid ink pasta with Prawns & Rosa sauce, and the Porcini mushroom pizza with Prosciutto, Ricotta & Truffle oil. Well-balanced flavours that complement one another without being too …
J. Y.
The pizza is awesome. Must try the tiramisu! Great portions
T. S.
For me definitely the best Italian place in Perth. Feels very authentic. Great tasting food. Servings are massive. 👌
R. E. c.
What a fantastic place for a meal, my partner and I Where highly recommend this place while we where staying in Perth from locals.
When we arrived hear it was alive with active and it told me one thing straight …

Best place to enjoy Italian foods in Perth WA. Must order their tiramisu!
A. M.
Excellent food, great atmosphere. The smell is like being in your Nonnas kitchen. Highly recommend to someone looking for a fully Immersive Italian experience.
S. Z.
This is by far the BEST ITALIAN food experience in Perth. Authentic menu brought to life by expert Chefs full of flavour and big serving portions. No one beats their pizzas, pastas - sorry - EVERYTHING on their menu. My personal favourite is their calamari meal - wow! Their deserts are amazing as well - I have not had a better home made tiramisu anywhere. This is why we keep going back. They do not take reservations & most evenings you will be queuing for a table but it is worth the wait. Guaranteed!
珍. g.
Awesome food and very good service, better than Nedland one.
T. W.
Vibrant and busy, the food is good but not among the best Italian I've had in Perth. They play a very loud happy birthday song which is lots of fun.
L. L.
The best Tiramisu in Town!!!
Had the Squid Ink with the Rosé sauce (mix of White and Red sauce), it was to die for... generous amount of 🍤🍤🍤 too
S. K.
My favourite place for Italian food. Have never had a bad meal there.
A. E.
Great food, huge portions and good vibes. Highly recommend
M.
All time favorite Italian restaurant ! Love their chilli mussels and garlic bread. Some of the staff can be a little less friendly but you’ll be fine if you follow their “house rules”
P. L.
Delicious homemade food! They all come in large quantities. You can share with someone if you don't eat much. Totally recommend it
L. T.
Simply the best Italian food in WA. Efficient and friendly homely service by the brothers. You’ll never find better Tiramisu anywhere else.
A.
This place does incredibly tasty and fresh Italian food. Chili mussels, squid ink pasta and tiramisu is to die for. Wait staff are all very professional, friendly and accommodating. Portions are huge so good for a sharing meal.
P. R. (.
The desserts here are delicious but very very very rich. A lot of cream, more than at any other Italian restaurant I've ever tried (we had the two different tiramisu and the strawberry tart)..
F. H.
Seriously best carbonara I've ever had. My wife had been to Italy and she agreed with me on this. 10/10
K. S.
I have seen some reviews stating how customers have felt a hint of racism in the store... I am not saying that everyone’s experiences are the same but whenever I go in, the staff treat us like family! There was a waitress we had yesterday with amazing humour, and the group I was with absolutely loved her! Unfortunately, I didn’t grab her name as I forgot, but I would love to let her know!
The food is also always great quality whenever we go it. The taste never varies which I really do appreciate.
I recommend the Hazelnut Tiramisu, its my favourite. :)
N. W.
Food good, staffs very positive and friendly. Only abit squeezee due to the size of the restaurant. Parking abit challenger..
L. L.
Need to be there early!! Great food! But please don't sit beside chimney.
J. A.
Delicious! I recommend the ciao italia special pasta with chili ;) So good - Wednesday night ritual!
C. T.
quick service and amazing italian food, very authentic.
E. H.
The ciao italia fettucine is unbelievable...
Yes, you have to wait in line for a bit but it is definitely worth it
M. L.
Nice Italian restaurant which serves a variety of pastas and pizzas. Pizza is very large and good for sharing. The tiramisu is one the best! This place gets packed and unfortunately they don't take bookings, only walk-in. Be prepared to queue if you're going at peak dinner time.
S. L.
Absolutely delicious, quick service and the portion size is huge. The restaurant is quite small and cosy. Highly recommend
D. a. G. I. L.
Verano pizza was great but we prefer a more crispy base. But it was still delicious! Marinara Pasta was yummy but could be a tad less salty!
C.
Great Italian restaurant to come with your family to enjoy a night in Italy. Transports you to the shores of the Italian country. Long review?
H.
Family oriented authentic Italian, great customer service always. Massive portions! No bookings just walk in. Sometimes there’s a queue!
V. 3.
One of the very best italian restaurant I ever went to. The food is amazingly amazing! The chili muscles are one of my favourites while i can proudly say the best I had so far in perth. The pizza is also amazing and so are the food portions. They even offer take away for the food you cant finish which always happen😆 but they do not do reservation you have to go there and wait for your turn. The food is really worth the wait!
Y. D.
Food is nice but overly priced.
Surely you can give free containers for left overs.
A. C.
Loved this place! So authentic. The food tasted really really good, the wait staff was excellent, and the overall ambiance was amazing. I went on a Monday night and the place was packed so if going there on a weekend, it's most likely going to need reservations ahead. But wait would still be totally worth it!
J. K.
The best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been too! The staff were wonderful and the food was amazing! Their portions are huge and I would go back there everyday if I could ! 10/10 would recommend
N. F.
This is probably the best Italian in the whole of Australia. Coming here isn’t just to have dinner it’s an experience. Every time I’m here I basically break down in tears the food is so incredible. The staff, the music, the atmosphere, everything comes together to make this my favourite place in the world.
E. T.
Great pizzas, pastas and desserts. Portion sizes are large and hearty, and so the best way to taste a bit of everything is to share with your group
j. l.
I had Panna e’Funghi last night and it was amazing! Service and atmosphere here is amazing! Such great staff!
L. V.
Great food! Huge portions! Good price! Great delivery thru Uber!
T. T.
Foods are tasty and big in size.
I like it the most is the notice of "If you are on the phone, you won't be served" 😂
A. S.
Good hearty meals . be prepared as portions sizes are massive
E.
Very busy place, famous delicious authentic Italian restaurant! Highly recommend for early arrival to avoid long queue..
Food us really yummy, and dessert is great too!
Y. W.
I chanced upon this photo and remembered I was here about 2 years back, tasting a tiramisu cake so good that I can still remember its taste till this date.
Don’t get me wrong. The pizzas and pastas here are really fantastic as well. The toppings were generous and the ingredients used were definitely fresh. To top it off, the portion was huge too! My girlfriend and I (we are relatively big eaters) had one pizza, a pasta, garlic bread as sides and the cake for dessert.. Yes I can remember them all even after 2 years because it is that great!
Tips:
1. Be here early or risk having to wait for over 30 minutes! We were here before it opened and was served within 15 minutes!
2. To avoid the queue, we used UberEat on the second night after we visited it (yes not kidding, and it was still as great!)
J. Y.
The pizza is awesome. Must try the tiramisu! Great portions
t. c.
Very lively restaurant. Somehow popular amongst Asian customers. No booking taken. Just walk-ins :)
If u ask for birthday song for ur company, they can do it for u with their little tiramisu or other type of cakes ;)
G. L.
It's definitely a must-try Italian restaurant in Perth. Always very busy and crowded with people. So be patient with their service.
l. Y.
Very nice Italian food. Interesting restaurant with friendly staff.
I. K.
Great pastas. Can get very busy. Best to take away
E. L.
Great place for Italia food and friendly staff. But prepare to wait.
C. M.
Truly the best bruschetta I've ever had and the carbonara was delicious too. They were insanely busy so I definitely advise booking.
M. M.
Delicious dishes.
Best pasta flavour, loved it!
A. L.
Best Italian Restaurant so far in term of taste. Better than Italia Bravo restaurant in Sydney. So yummy...but it is pricey...
S. L.
Delicious Italian cuisine with one of the best tiramisu around
L. B.
Great portion. Great food. Both vegetarian and non vegetarian food are fantastic. We also have a tiramisu takeaway which is Hugh and tastes great. Would definitely recommend this place to all our friend. See you next time :)
L. S.
Beautiful food...huge portions..will be back for the pizza!
Z. J. L.
Very crowded means the food is good. Pasta and pizza can be salty but is good
M. C.
I have never eaten so soft pizza. Fantastic risotto, very big portions. Fantastic desserts as well. Really very very good and would recommend everyone. Very friendly staff, patient, although very busy all the time. Big recommendation.
A. B.
Food was pricey but decent enough. Not worth the 30 min wait. Very crammed sitting area and a noisy environment I would not recommend it for Date nights but perhaps a group casual dining would do
t. p.
As always worth waiting the que. I have been dining there frequently when they first opened. last few years i was a bit distant. The joint is bigger now but so is the que. I had never been dissapointed in this place than or now. Fantastically delicious each and every time. Excelent and friendly service as well. However i do not recomend going there; that means i have to wait longer next time ;)
Thank you.
N. O.
They're usually great. Many good experiences but its always the one bad one that sours the pot: Got someone else's pasta in our delivery order.
It was missing all the usual toppings and only had chicken and a ton of Bacon. You'd think they'd be careful about the Bacon with the associated religious concerns. Didn't want to go through the hassle of calling or wait another hour+ for the restaurant to re-deliver, but wish I had. I don't like or usually eat Bacon and wound up grossed out with an upset stomach instead.
R.
Good pasta & grilled calamari. Loved the tiramisu too! 😍
P. C.
The locals told us that it's a must to come dine at Ciao Italia and it definitely is a must! We loved how busy the atmosphere is, and the crowd seems so happy with the food around! The portion here is big - so if you're a small eater, remember to share your meal! Highly recommed.
M. B.
Best italian restaurant in Perth 👏🏼
Pizzas has “cheese” !!!!!
J.
Absolutely amazing experience. The food was pretty much perfect and the staff were super polite and professional. It is a must go for anyone who enjoys Italian food. Ciao Italia definitely deserves to be as famous as it is.
A. H.
Best Italian ever, great atmosphere, huge meals, and always tasty. Service is quick and friendly. Quite an authentic feel too, my favourite pizzas ever, and the spaghetti bolognese is something else. BYO red to top it all off. I also rate their Tiramasu as off the scale, so do yourself a favour!
E. S.
My Favorite restaurant in the whole world, love everything about this place, the food, the people, the atmosphere, the location, ...etc simply the best
S. S. (. E.
Best italian food. I loved the tiramisu....
J. Y. C.
my favourite restaurant for a treat with my mates back in my uni days. went back couple years ago and it's still as good as i remembered. I always crave for their pastas and pizzas.. their tiramisu is lovely! a must visit when i'm in perth! also a short walk away from a gorgeous view of the CBD skyline..
I.
Friendly staff and good food with big portions but price on the higher end for a family restaurant
M.
A fine Italian restaurant with authentic Italian food choices.
J. R.
It is the best Italian restaurant in Perth. I say it after trying more than 30
D. K.
Amazing service, atmosphere, and what can I say about the food except that it was incredible. Bring a wine and friends and enjoy!
R. G.
HUUGE SERVINGS! Their pink sauce (don't know what it's called but it's cream & red sauce combined) with the ciao italia pasta is everything! Hazelnut tiramisu...my goodness. Would go back for these two any day. Downside is you can't book and there is always a bit of a wait at the door for a table, so if you're really hungry and can't wait, may need to try elsewhere. However, these two are quite good!
D. G.
Delicious food. Nice staff. Portions are massive
P.
they do a delicious tiramisu that is available for takeaway
K. N.
Portion size XL 1 main serves 2 🤣
N. M.
My favourite Italian place in Perth. Small but the interior looks like something out of Italy, staff are always so helpful and the food is absolute perfection! A positive experience always, every time I dine there.
R. C.
Recommend the red sauce range of meals, also suggest four people to eat together because of the large portion.
A. C.
Great atmosphere and service. One of my favourite places in Perth for a simply feel good dinner. Food is also great.
e. i.
Best authentic Italian pizzeria in Perth, great food, amazing crew and service. You need to be early as parking could be abit of challenge in peak hours. Queue are not uncommon too but it is all worth it...
K. L.
The menu items seem pricey at first but the portion sizes more than make up for it. Incredibly delicious!
C. A. A. R.
I like my pasta Al dente, and they served a little too cooked for my liking. However, the flavours were fantastic and so was the service. Great portions. Had a nice time. Great job guys!
T. S.
Brilliant food and lovely people. The only issue (and it'd not their fault) is that the place is almost always jam packed so be ready to wait outside for 40 plus mins on most days before you get a table.
T.
Fantastica!
The pasta was magnificent, big serves and come out hot. The atmosphere made me feel like was in a family resturant in Italy. I definitely recomend the marinara. We were so full we got desert to go and the hazelnut tiramisu was excellent. It is walk ins only so you have to try your luck on time when you go but it is worth the wait!
P. P.
Great food. Both the Ciao Italia pasta and Pesto pasta were amazing. Little bit hard to find parking in the parking lot out back but it is a reflection of the popularity of this joint!
H. C.
Best Italian food since i got to Australia!
g. m.
Excellent food , very tasty and fresh it’s worth the value. The best Italian restaurant.
P. K.
Such an awesome place! Fantastic food and fantastic staff! I have to say im kind of glad I don't live nearby as I would be broke spending all my money eating here!
j. b.
I cam here a couple years ago and I thought the food was better back then (or perhaps my taste has changed with my age). However, competitors have grown ever since.
My pizza was delicious and looked great as usual. Normally I do not enjoy with quick and rushed services but can't complain much since its weekends and they must be as quick as possible.
Otherwise still a wonderful experience.
E. P.
Daughter took us there for her father's birthday, food and service was good..
I. F. (.
Fantastic food, and a buzzing atmosphere. We shared a pizza, pasta and tiramisu which were all perfect, with left overs we enjoyed the next day too. The Tortellini and tiramisu are definitely recommended!
A. T.
Noisy. Italian. Vibrant. Italian. Warm, Welcoming, Comfortable. Italian. If you like great food, real tomato sauce, and hungry then go!! We'll be Bach!!
M. S.
Ciao Italia. Where to start. It feels like you're sitting in the dining room of Nonna's house and all the family is there, coming together, laughing, eating good food and having a good time. Also, their tiramisu is the best and worth sharing if you didn't leave enough room after the amazing pizza and pasta you just ate.
N. E.
In our experience, Perth's best Italian restaurant.
Everything from the decor (red checked tablecloths + curtains), ambient music and chatter between the staff - is Italian!
They don't take bookings so you'll need to line up, make sure you come early! The longest we've waited was over an hour but it's ALWAYS with it.
The food is consistently amazing. Authentic dishes amongst a menu that will please all. Our favourite is the spaghetti Vongole (baby clams in tomato, garlic + chilli) but we've brought friends and family here who have loved many other dishes. Leave room for dessert as their profiterole tower and tiramisu are delicious.
Servings are huge and I've never walked out without bagging up my leftovers.
We're North of the river and the South Perth restaurant (original) is where we head if we're after pasta. You'll ❤️ it!
M. C.
The best italian food ever. Reasonable price
A. L.
What a surprise ❤️ we really enjoyed
D. H.
Always delicious pasta and and great service even though they are always super busy
W. H. S.
Food is nice and portion is big
T. W.
The taste compare to last time is diff, last time is better. Hopefully maintain the quility.
L. H.
I've been going here for 15 years, best Italian food in perth, friendly professional staff, and beautiful surrounds. I tried to find better in Rome, Italy, and couldn't.
K. H.
great food and sumptuous potions!
R. R.
The Best Italian Restaurant i have ever been to
I. D.
This place is by far my favourite restaurant in Perth, I have been coming here for 7 years , the food is always delicious the staff , manager and owner are the best they are so welcoming and friendly and they do actually care and always ask and check up that everything is to your liking ,the beef medallions, the alla Salerno with squid ink pasta , the calamari, their tiramisu and their pizzas... I mean I can’t write everything I love it’s pretty much the whole menu , I love the place and the staff there even more 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
S. K.
Delicious and yummy, with good service always
R.
The most amazing Italian restaurant my partner and I have ever been too. If you have never been here do yourself a favour and head there for dinner
J. W.
Great food, pizza base soft and have that fluffy edge, very generous on the cheese, and seafood fresh, love it. Caesar salad is really lovely, especially the chicken inside it. Waiters were friendly and did great job, despite of the busy crowd they'll always be there when you need any help. Only issue here is it's tooooo popular, always have a queue outside, and inside the restaurant very small space between tables, during the peak hours it can be very noisy, last time we managed to arrive there at 5:30 pm so it was not full yet but still can feel the noisy. It serves very good Italian food and if food is what you're after and don't mind much about the dining environment then it's a good place to go to.
K. L.
Amazing foods ❤ That's all i can say.
B. J.
Friendly staff, delicious food and very generous portions :)
Definitely going back, thank you for the great experience!
P. N.
Great mussels and tiramisu
L. E.
Definitely the best Italian food I have had in my life.
K. C.
Lovely dinner! Very big portions that we can’t finish the food and had to take away. We enjoyed the chilli mussels a lot! You can actually order the main courses in smaller portions by saying half portions. We didn’t know this at first...
S. L.
A bit of a waiting time outside but once Ur in, you know exactly why are all of them waiting outside for so long. Hands down by far one of the best Italian restaurants in Perth, I didn't manage to get a snap of the main course but trust me it's finger lickin good. I now go there very frequently just to get their famous homemade Tiramisu, a dessert so good, that it sort of made me forget about everything else..
S. T.
Prepare an empty stomach because the portions are huge and delicious! You have to come early to get a table! Remember to save space for the tiramisu!
I. M.
A couple times visited and did takeaway - I love Italian cuisine and call tell you they do provide exceptionally good portion however consistency hasn’t been their best factor from my own experience. But 100% worth to visit if you have the time.
J. C.
Great food, last visited this place 10 years ago and it's still as great now.
g.
This place is always busy! We waited 2 hours for a seat. The food was yummy, but heavy. I do appreciate this restaurant, and the chefs are very talented, but the busy, noisy atmosphere didn't really suit me. The toilets weren't clean, but the staff were friendly, despite the amount of customers there were. I did have a stomach ache afterwards, however.
C. C.
Got there at 5, didn't have to wait, tiny place and bloody good, food got to the table incredibly fast and really tasty (said from Italian mum and daughter). We enjoyed the pizza very much, as even in Italy sometimes is hard to find good pizza. Waiters welcoming and polite.
A. C.
The best tiramisu and lemon tart ever! It's just the best.
T. C.
The best tiramisu our there! Super creamy, flavourful and everything good. The pasta here is HUGE and very rich, the pizza is great too. It gets very busy, it’s a bustling place. They do have delivery though and you can also get the tiramisu take away with little to no wait.
R. M.
Excellent food and service, but a wait to get in
d. L.
Ciao italia has always been one of my favourite but I could not wait that long just to get a seat. Have my love for their Creamy silky soft tiramisu and crave for it every now and then but I was shocked when I saw mine this evening. The size is probably 20% smaller than before. Before as in few months ago. At a dear price they charging, i would expect the size remains just like before. I am very disappointed with that.
A. J.
One of the best restaurants in Perth! The food is cooked by professional chefs, which surely results in an excellent taste. Although you may encounter long queue, I would definitely recommend this place for dinner or a birthday celebration.
J. R.
Solid classic Italian food. Honestly too busy at the best of times, but deservingly so. Delivery isn't a bad option, but if you must dine in, plan to wait in line.
A. C.
Authentic Italian food. Fast service. Very generous portions. Could charge twice the price for the quality of the food simply by putting fancy decor, shrinking the portions and calling it "fine dining cuisine" or some pretentious fluff. But this place kept its existence for friends and families. Romantic enough for date nights too.
H. N.
The best Italian restaurant in Perth hands down! Absolutely delicious pastas! Serving size is also very generous. The restaurant is always packed and there's usually a line to get in, even on weekdays, but I recommend trying the dine in experience at least once; the noisy bustling environment is great. Love this place!
U.
If you're in Perth and you're looking for a place to eat which have to be popular with travellers, taste good, has friendly staff, then Ciao Italia is the place for you. As always, their food tastes great! Big enough portion to share with your friends, has many selection of pastas, not to name pizzas and of course the dessert! Oh my, the desserts, you have to try their tiramisu, it's one of the best in town, and the keylime pie as well, it's simply awesome. Be prepared to wait though, people will usually starting to queue around 5pm and because it's a small cozy restaurant, you might have to wait for awhile. One thing that let me down a bit, it's their price, it's a bit too high now compared to a similar establishment. But do I still recommend this place? Absolutely!
L. R.
Great 👍 place to go for dinner 🥘 for my 37th birthday 🥳 with my Dome mates in Mt Pleasant. 😊😊😊😊👍👍👍👍
T. K.
The Asian waitress was extremely polite and professional.
W. A.
First time came to this restaurant. it was really busy but the foods were all amazing. Its worth for the wait and money!
M.
Very nice food and the desert 😍😋
m. x.
Great place, nice food, warm to gather around, worth the wait.
A. M.
Love this place. It’s fun to go, great Italian vibe ! You will need to wait outside as always but once you sit , they serve real quick. Food is tasty and good portion. I hope owner makes good money and never stop running biz here.
S. G.
Great food and hospitality! Thier pizzas are probably the best we've ever had before! Highly recommend this place!
R. P.
This is my absolute favourite when it come to geniune Italian cuisine. The flavours are faultless and servings are more than generous. Everytime we go, we end up ordering more than we can finish. Luckily they allow you to take any unfinished meals when you leave. I love the black ink pasta with prawns in a creamy sauce its delicious. Only downfall is that being such a good restaurant, you can often find yourself waiting to get a table.
A.
I was disappointed overall, as some other reviews state, it's a walk in / queue up only system.
Service was good yet they do like to rush you out the door once paid, I'm not a fan of this.
Food was ok to good, mushroom 🍄 risotto was delicious, Margerita Pizza 🍕 was ok, quite oily and too much cheese 🧀!!!
I didn't try the calamari yet the people I was with enjoyed it yet the side salad 🥗 they had wasn't tasty, bad dressing!
Prices were reasonable and portions are large so best to share amongst people or come with an empty stomach!
Quite a few staff speak English and Italian.
Atmosphere was ok and nice background music!
BYO Booze and $3.50 corkage fee on wine 🍷 bottles 🍾

Great food great atmosphere great place to take the family
L. S. Y.
Wonderful hearty italian cuisine with more than generous portions to share. Go for the ciao italia pasta and the marinara. Staff were polite and accomodating and we went back twice because it was so good. Do head there early to avoid the lengthy queues. Kindly note that after dark the neighbourhood tends to get a little dodgy, do not leave your valuables in the car.
M. F.
Always plenty of food and always damn good 🤩
K. S.
My partner and I have ordered from you so many times, we used to live just around the corner and it would arrive in minutes, now we just plan early for the extra 30/40 minutes that we know it will take to get to our new place. Always worth the wait, always what we feel like eating after a long hard day when we need something delicious and comforting ♥️ Please never close, don’t know what I’ll do without your arrabbiata pasta 😂 One day we will actually queue and eat inside!
K. H.
Great pizza and pasta with decent serves
S. S.
Best homemade pizza the family and I have had in a long time. The pastas were some of the best in Perth. Staff were interactive and since the place was so busy there were enough staff to take your orders. Food arrived super fast. Tiramisu was a beauty. Great special italian tucked away in the city area.
G. H.
We got recommended to go here but by a friend and was ok. had a chicken dish and a pasta dish... Not blown away, the cream sauce basically tastes like cream and lacked seasoning. Was on the expensive side but the portions were huge, 2 mains between 3-4people would suffice!
D. Y.
Gets pretty crowded from 6pm onwards. And the tiramisu is to die for!!
A. A.
Ciao Italia is one of those places which is Italia in another country. It feels Italian, looks Italian and tastes Italian. You can never go wrong with the food there. They're one of the places where my friends and I had agreed that you would feel blissfully stuffed, full and satisfied after eating. So far, everything we have ordered has been good. They also have signature tiramisu which is a MUST TRY. And men, hold on to your ladies, because the Italian waiters there might charm them away from you ;)
There's always a crowd there everyday so there may be some wait time to get in. Worth the wait, most definitely!
n.
This place is amazing, the food is incredible and the staff are so friendly they make you feel at home! It is a crowded restaurant with wait times but in my opinion definitely worth the wait. The food is served in generous portions and our entire group couldn't fault a single dish. Will be back here very soon
H.
It's a nice Italian restaurant, but I think it is over hyped and definitely not worth waiting outside for.

My boyfriend came here last year with his company for work and raved about this place. I had the pleasure of joining him this year and I'm so glad I did. We have gone to Ciao Italian 3 times so far in the past 4 days and every experience wonderful. The staff is as great as the food. Highly recommended. Reminded me of being at my Italian grandparents house in Chicago. Love every thing about it.
l.
I LOVE TO EAT HERE! One of the people know me there and always says WELCOME everytime i visit the resturant, really love the food, best pizza i've tasted, sadly the one i normally go to is out of business, but luckily there is still two more places, hopefully i see the person that always says hi to me :)
S. I.
Absolutely delux, food was amazing and portion size will definitely have you asking for a takeaway container ! would definitely recommend to anyone
R. F.
Still one of the best Italian food we liked except it's getting a bit pricey now with reduced portions. Highly recommended!
D. P.
This is the best restaurant in Perth hands down. You get an authentic Italian dinning experience with excellent food and great service. ♥️
M. P.
Good portions good quick service authentic taste, lovely atmosphere. Always busy but always worth treating yourself local gem
B. C.
The food is fantastic. The staff are always friendly. The portions aren't small, so go hungry!
A. O.
Some of the best Italian food I’ve had outside of Italy. Friendly staff, lots of characters! Thoroughly recommend.

Ill give Ciao a 4 out of 5.
Why u ask, well as person of Euro-background i have a reasonable idea of this style of food. Overall good food but seems to be 'sweetened' up in taste to suit the predominately Asian clientele. Still tastes nice but not totally authentic but for many this food is far better than most offerings from other Italian eateries.
Different style of pastas offered and it tasted fine for me. They pack alot of folk into the place so the dining experience is noisy and hectic, and therefore could be improved.
Compliments to the person who makes yr Tira Misu. Absolutely the best I've ever had from a restaurant.
Proper authentic Italian style, very well executed.
S.
Really delicious pasta, but be ready to wait for a long time to be seated, then for your food to arrive, then even to pay the bill.
W. S.
Great food and big portions. Go early to avoid the queue.
Y. W.
Food here is awesome. has to wait until your turn comes but its worth to wait. they deliver food with no delay. The guys working on the floor are the best smiling, efficient wait staff I've ever seen. The girl in the cashier is lovely and friendly. I was impressed with the customer service and the food

Insanely popular with Chinese people for whatever reason. The food is spectacular but it is often very packed in like sardines. The staff seem to deal with the crowds well though, but don't expect much room, and there will be quite a bit of noise. The food is worth it, though. Tiramisu is mandatory and I personally love the Rigatoni pasta there.

I no longer live in Perth but I would almost travel home just to enjoy dinner here! It is one of my favourite restaurants ever, and my number one favourite Italian restaurant. Yes it is busy and a little cramped inside but that’s a sign of how good and popular the amazing food is! The chilli mussels are amazing - the sauce is like a meal in itself. The tiramisu is divine. The staff are very friendly and many have worked there for years. I only wish I could go there more often!
B. B.
Been a regular here for years while living in South Perth. In summary, the dine-in experience is usually rush, as they are trying to turn tables over. My favourite dish is the fettuccine marinara - you can't really go wrong with most of their dishes, really. Try the tiramisu, as it's usually served with lots of fresh cream, it's joy and they have a hazlenut version too, that's yum too!
J. L.
Fantastic Italian food, delicious all the way, wonderful staff making the evening all the better. The tiramisu is a must try
D. S.
We are regulars of Ciao Italia in South Perth, usually via takeaway as the place is always very busy and we live just around the corner.
Delicious and authentic Italian food, we will keep coming back again and again. Friendly staff that make you feel very welcome, and always greet us with a smile.
M. S.
Great food, but a bit pricy...
The worst part is no booking policy...
❤
S. H.
So good but the queue is so crazy. But so good :) go early to avoid having to wait - as in go at 5pm sharp once it opens ! Otherwise you will have to wait irregardless of the days. We enjoyed every dish we ordered.
S. E.
Grabbed my "go to" takeaway Lasagna. Sooooo good, and finished off with the brilliant Tiramisu. Fabulous 💓
R. L.
We had the mussel and Tiramisu back to 4 yrs ago
And we had it again this year, it’s still tasty!
M. C.
Quaint and busy restaurant. Everything looks amazing and is well presented with generous portion sizes. The pizza is a rite of passage in Perth!
B. T. L.
Fantastic food. Awesome pizza
B. K.
All time favourite; everything is good-
Faves include- penne ciao Italia, garlic bread and chilli mussels🤤
S. e.
The foods good as always. Staffs are friendly. The atmosphere here is awesome! The appetite is getting bigger here! I'll be here all the time. One of my favorite restaurants in Perth!
T. C. (. T.
Authentic food, wonderful atmosphere and everything you'd expect for a local restaurant in Italy - I mean - a genuine piece of Italia.
J. T.
If you've never tried their tiramisu, you've never tried a tiramisu - you have to get it!
K.
Amazing customer service, they are so busy but they are so attentive. Makes for an amazing dining experience. Food is also exceptional. Couldn't fault a thing. First time I've been to the south Perth one. Usually I go to Nedlands. I can see why this one is always busy.
T.
One of the absolute best pasta places in Perth. It’s worth the wait if you dine in, but I would recommend you order online and pick it up yourself.
T. Y.
Food is of good quality, not really suited to intimate dining as it is always busy. There is a little bit of a wait to get a table but once ordered, the food is served promptly. I would reccomend to anyone who appreciates great authentic food.
L. D.
Very cramped and hot. Food is pricey until you realise the portions are huge and are best shared between a group. Food was very tasty, impressed with flavour of pastas. Ingredients were noticeably low-average quality.
T. K.
One of the best Italian restaurant in Perth
K. A. (.
Really good honest Italian food and good quantity. Great to see them use proper Italian loaf for their garlic bread. Really worth trying them.
C. L.
Great experience great food great service great atmosphere
K. I.
Chicken Parmigiana was soggy and not good.
Other than that, good portion food.
I will recommend for dessert as well. They are nice and good salad
M. C.
Best Italian food. The seafood pasta & risotto are 5 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Huge in portion, fresh ingredients & awesome taste. Bring excitement to your palate! Ciao.
B. B.
Fantastic food and service. Great atmosphere and the kind of place you want to go to for special occasions. Make sure to get there early to avoid the rush though, because everyone else knows this too.
M. E.
Apart from the huge queues to get in ( take a snack while you wait......) kidding!! The food both pasta & pizza, huge = think about sharing= but the amazingly LIGHT Tiramisu was the absolute best ever. Worth going just for that!!
H. F.
Wildly popular. Go on a weekday to avoid queueing. Traditional hearty fare. Over priced, but when punters line up you can afford to charge whatever you like. Much too cramped inside and very noisy, but I guess this adds to the atmosphere.
B. K.
Best Italian in perth. Longish wait times but worth it
A. C.
Incredible italian food. Best in Perth, but can get crowded and waiting in line for over an hour for a table is a common occurrence. Food however is worth the wait, the Tiramisu is great as are the Pastas and Pizzas.
My only criticism would be that my favourite dish, pollo alla criluspa is not on the delivery menu, I will not forgive you for this Ciao Italia! 😤
C. F.
Got takeaway Pizza, 7 of us ate, 7 of us were left full and very happy! All of the Pizzas we got were delicious and the service was lovely!
N. M.
AMAAZING FOOD! And they have the best wood fired pizza in Perth!
The wait is not great but so worth it!
M. P.
Bring your stretchy waist band clothes the servings are generous and delicious so you will want to eat it all.
김.
It was good and they were nice :)
W. H.
Everything was great. Did a mistake in ordering the Napoletana Pizza (please do not order if you dont like eating salty food). We expected it to be salty in certain parts as it has anchovies, but we did not expect it to be that salty for the whole pizza. We cant even finish it.
J. A.
We ordered the Siciliana & Calzone pizzas and we were greatly disappointed because the taste did not meet our expectations. Generous portions, but way too over-rated and also too expensive. You can probably get better pizzas elsewhere. Tiramisu did not disappoint though - it was creamy and full of goodness. Just an OK place in all.
T. B.
I like the authentic Italian cuisine here. I have Italian friends so I decided to bring them here when they visited me in Perth. They were fascinated by the pizzas made is special wood fire oven. Everything were very delicious and fresh.
O. M.
Vegetarian Pizza and spaghetti naples are very tasty indeed. This place gets busy and is only open for dinner Tues - Saturday. Its pricey but worth it. Ciao Italia offers takeaway, home delivery and is part of the Uber scheme. Try it out. Guaranteed not to be disappointed by the tastes !
D. D.
Been here multiple times, never a disappointment!!! Love the carbonara, tiramisu and the chilli mussels!!!
B. P.
Most Authentic Italian food as close as what I would have tasted in Italy. Portions are large thus the hordes of cheap asians trying to jam themselves into this place. This also results in ridiculous wait times for a table. However if you are a couple or small group you should not have as much problems. It is tight in there but it has its unique atmosphere. Maybe that is why ppl keep coming back.
A. P.
Massive portions, excellent food. For desserts I'd just go with the traditional tiramisu, which is the gooey type that I love. No reservations so you have to get in before 5.45pm or wait at least 45mins.
J. D.
Beautiful place and awesome food!
n. s.
Lovely food, consistent, good vegetarian options. Busy but efficient service.
N. Z.
My partner who is not a huge fan of Italian food, loved it here. The dish that won him over was the Alla Salerno, he loved it because it was authentic and the seafood was fresh. I had the Cabanara which was de-lish! Also the Giandula Al Cioccolate is an amazing desert. The service and timing of brining out the dishes was prompt and their menu is reasonably priced. There is not a lot of parking and there can be long wait times to get a table, also lining up to pay can be a bit crammed. If the layout was a bit larger and there was more parking, this place would be perfect and we would definitely come more often.
A. H.
Many times i come to visit this traditonal italian restaurant. Mussel in tomato sauce and their pasta is delicious. Beef with mushroom sauce is also good. I also having its soft tiramisu. The portion of their food tend to be large.
J. M.
Stayed in Perth for one night, stumbled upon Ciao Italia while looking for dinner. Top quality food, lively atmosphere, 10/10 must visit if you're stopping by Perth. We got there just in time, but be prepared to wait outside in the waiting chairs for a tablw!
N. T.
Fantastic restaurant, their pastas are amazing and huge serving sizes. Always very busy, even on a weeknight, and they don't accept bookings so be prepared to wait for a while out the front of the restaurant until a table is ready unless you get there early.
j. c.
Good Italian food. The serving size is generous. Love the atmosphere here.
I. L.
I have been eating at ciao Italia for close to 15 years. Truly my favourite Italian restaurant in Perth. They do not take bookings or allow seating until the whole group is present, but the wonderful food more than makes up for the wait.
M. L.
Excellent service and the food is delicious😋 the prices are affordable and the plates are huge :)
J. T.
Best tiramisu I've ever had! Everything is great and authentic! Even though I have to wait for more than 40 minutes, the food is definitely worth waiting for! I can visit Perth again just to eat here!
P. W.
Best italian in Perth. Can be very busy any night of the week, but food is served fast. Some staff can be rude at moments due to being busy. But overall lovely place.
M. Z.
This place is going down!!! Overcrowded, big groups of Chinese students who unfortunately tend to be loud. Ridiculous placement of the cashier which blocks the movement. Super slow service. And the most important - food has poor taste. I used to like their food but they must be using some cheaper ingredients now because the taste is gone. Shame on you Ciao Italia.
R. s. R.
Great place and Food quality is Great.
M. M.
Opens direct on 5pm. You have to try the calzone and tiramisu. Also the squid ink pasta is to die for. I'm serious. I would die for it
E.
Awesome, awesome, awesome! Create teamwork, always good/quick/professional service. Huge portions, fair prices (better prices for takeaway!!), lovely desserts.
T. T.
I drove past this place for years watching crowds line up waiting just to get a table. I always thought to myself why would they bother for line up for Italian food? I've visited Italy many times and I found their restaurant food to be average. Especially their pizzas. I noticed that Italians are always too busy talking about themselves, so I really didn't think they could have time to make food in Perth that I would enjoy. That was until I was forced to visit this place. Even though the restaurant is cramped, noisy and busy I really enjoy my visits to Ciao Italia. I go there strictly for the food. Their portions are tasty, large and filling, I have never left this restaurant disappointed after paying the bill. I really enjoy their Siciliana Pizzas and their Tartine Alle Fragol (strawberry tart filled with vanilla custard with strawberries and cream on top). The restaurant tables are tiny so it pays to order as you go, otherwise it just gets too bothering trying to eat from the limited room.
I have returned to Ciao Italia so many times I now have it down pat. I visit after 9 pm so I never have to wait in line for a table. The restaurant car park is always full so I park on one of the back streets close by.
Ever meal has left me satisfied. I would give Ciao Italia six stars if I could.
B. M.
My kids always love the Bolognese from here. Such friendly staff who are always accommodating.
V. B.
To all the people who are complaining about this restaurant being noisy and overcrowded. Thats because its the most popular Italian restaurant in Perth and the tastiest with good serves so what do you expect. Good for them.
M. B.
The Food was fantastic. Staff very friendly. Very large servings 2 could share a dish or they will give u takeaway container. We will be back for sure.
Z. K.
Very good food, with friendly serving staff. The food portions are huge though. We tried the pizzas, carbonara, squid ink pasta, chilli mussels, fried squid, and tiramisu. All were good! Remember to leave tummy space for the tiramisu!
R.
Fantastic food. Love Tiramisu so much. Since it’s always busy get there earlier to wait for the table! Overall great place to eat out.
N.
bloody amazing food!!! you can just tell it is made with love!! perfect comfort food!! especially Chilli Mussels xx Thanks for the surprise dessert ladies!! Made my day xx
A. D.
Very busy place! Fast service and good meals
A. M.
Okay grrrrreeeeeat pizza. I was tempted to drop this place to 4 star because the wait is 45mins or so and the restaurant is so packed and busy, you feel like you have to quickly eat and go. No reservations. I guess that is part of the experience... I think a bar or drinks out the front would be ideal.
j. K.
Delicious Italian food. No booking and have to wait in the cold or rain but no complaints after tasting food! Good, friendly and fast service
D. 7.
Awesome Food,
Simply the best pasta i have had in Perth! Impeccable service, massive serving sizes. Just unbelievable, i drive for an hour to come back here as often as i can!
Love this place
M.
Best pizza 🍕 in Perth 👍👌😀😀 well worth it
E. Y.
The portion were huge and the waiter didn't even mention if we had over ordered. The quality of the food has dropped from few years back.
Food was served very fast and clearing is also fast.
More of a eat and go place.
M. S.
I have gotten takeaway here many times. Fantastic home style Italian food that is prepared very quickly. Would heartily recommend.
a. s.
Their food is absolute love ! Try their tiramisu if you haven’t cos it’s the best in town so far
B. O.
Amazing Experience had my Anniversary there it was very romantic and they had amazing food there also. The customer service was immaculate also.
I. W.
Our very favourite Italian restaurant.
S. W.
Absolutely Delicious italian food and tiramisu!
J. B.
Tried their tiramisu, found ok but reserved judgement to compare with other versions.
M. E. P.
A great little restaurant located not far from the C.B.D. - I found the Staff to be friendly & very good with Children on a table close by. The Food & service was good, your wallet will take a hit when you dine here, though that's eating out in Perth.
Lining-ip outside waiting to be seated can be a pain, though it opens at 17:00 & I suggest getting there early & theres usually not too many waiting at that time.
If you like Italian & your in the area, worth a visit.
A. Z.
Love the food and the vibe of this place!
E. “. M.
As far as I know, best pizza in Perth. I like the toppings and the crust. Atmosphere is typical Italian and the waiters are all nice and friendly. YOu should book before, cause there's always a crazy queue outside.
C. W.
BEST pizza in Perth. Awesome place! Excellent food (especially the pizza). Great atmosphere, with an occasional wait to get in (it's a legendary spot). Worth it.
(visits - 4)
N. P.
We've been here a few times over the years. Tonight we had a selection of dishes. Great sized portions but the food was not really flavoursome and no longer feels really authentic and more engineered for volume.
R. B.
Definately over and above - expectations..a very nice character Italian restaurant. Fantastic staff, quality food and the atmosphere was very very good. If they could adjust the price just a notch or two- it would be worthy of 6 Stars!
R. J. L.
There are other reasons for the long snaking queues besides the great food. Staff do their best to accommodate your party with the space they have. Lively atmosphere.
A. C.
Very good pastas but the place is usually very crowded and the portions are too huge for 1 person to finish so you end up hating what you ordered towards the end of the meal. Best to order just 1 pasta to share for 2 people.
P. M.
A most lovely evening shared with friends. Attentive staff serving Amazing food, be sure to have a good appetite.
M. W. B. A.
The best Italian food in perth!! We have been going there for many years and never been disappointed. They are very consistent with there meals. And for the guy that wrote that's not a gourmet pizza, your obviously a hater with no name attached!!!!!
From Walid, Leila & Hamoody

Yummy Pasta. Even the takeaway is good! Must try the Fettucine CIao Italia
I. M.
Calamari alla griglia.... best in Perth! Have been eating this Calamari for 15 years now and it's never disappointed. I do normally get takeaway as the South Perth store in particular gets very busy. But there's a reason it's busy. Do yourself a favour and just try the Calamari...
