Ordered a seafood platter for $95, enough for 2 people. Really fresh seafood, very delicious and had a table with sunset view. Staff were super easygoing too! Would definitely come back again!

Beautiful view and atmosphere. The food was delicious and the service was attentive and friendly. Ordering through the smart tablets at the table worked well. We went for a birthday and they were more than happy for us to bring a cake along and there was no cakage fee.

We were out for a new breakfast experience 😋 at a venue new to us. This Clancy's Fish Bar looked rather appealing which was short lived. While the venue itself was great, lots of patronage being on the beach front with plenty of seating both indoors and out the service seemed somewhat lacking. Asked for tea, as our choice of hot drinks with our breakfast. On receiving this, there seemed to be floating substance in the milk, 🥛upon enquiry about this were informed it was only coffee, this was quickly replaced but should not have happened period. The meal, while hot 🔥 and substantial, lacked appeal as in, presentation. Butter had to be requested for all servings, no serviettes available at the table. This was a topic for discussion amongst all 4 at breakfast which made the person, who chose the venue, feel rather inadequate for poor choice. Agreement to not return was clearly agreed to unanimously.

A great place to sit with your mates and forget about the hours passing while the sunsets and suddenly notice it's 10:30pm. Friendly and engaging staff, drinks at decent prices and a lot of seafood... Which I don't eat but if that's your thing. The non seafood options were okay but definitely nothing to write home about. Nothing to complain about though really.

I bloody love this place. It's a great restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere, good food, friendly and attentive staff and all located on the best beach in Perth. It's also an excellent place to go if you want to watch the sunset over dinner. Highly recommended.

The location is awesome, beautiful views over city beach. The decor is very, "beach shack" and looks really cool. I ordered the fish and chips, you would expect somewhere on the beach, calling fish and chips there thing would've produced better. The chips....great. The battered snapper was dry and tasted...old. it certainly wasn't cooked fresh and was pretty much unpalatable. It had been kept for a period of time before it hit the plate either under a heat lamp or hot plate. He fish edges were dry abd rubbery. Very disappointing and quite expensive. I would not have minded at all if the food was up to par. Won't be back.

A beautiful place with delightful delights, delicious restaurants and wonderful scenery. Look out over the ocean and watch the waves splash down onto the white soft sand while having some tasteful fish and chips. A lovely place to celebrate culture and synergies. After the meal you can head down to the beach and feel the air in your hair and the sand at your feet.

We went on a Monday We ordered Marinara, grilled barramundi, seafood platter, hot chocolate and softdrink haha. I am very much satisfied on taste, the delivery and the place. The staff are excellent too.

Beautiful location food can be lovely depending on what you order, some food is a little tasteless, and some dishes some to have been given a little more attention. Chilli mussels are lovely, chef went a little crazy on the chilly for a mild but still manageable. Easy and smart online ordering system was easy to use the iPads unlike other places that have been trailing ideas similar to this. I would still definitely go again but would be careful about what I ordered.

Awesome place , right on the heart of city beach. Nice place for chill at the bar and they served really good food. I had two beers with my friend , relax, chill and cozy atmosphere. Then I had a battered local snapper for lunch. Was really great. The staffs are very friendly. Great location, great food, great beers !! Five stars !!

I thought the barramundi was a little on the small side and a little plain but the octopus was delicious and a good serve. 3/5 for the barramundi but 5/5 for the octopus. Rumour is the mussels are the best on the menu but they were sold out today. Fantastic views.

For a few years now we’ve been coming here for our annual “last day of summer holidays” meal before school starts. We always get the seafood platter ($95). Disappointed to say that the quality has gone downhill - squid and fish was over cooked, dry and tough. Prawns on skewers were tasty but small. Mussels were incredible though - decently sized, juicy and full of flavour. Chips up there with the best. But you don’t pay $95 for a handful of mussels and chips. The parmesan and rocket salad was also terribly salty, drenched in dressing and borderline inedible.

We ordered the family fish and chips. 6 pieces of fish- small pieces compared to other fish and chip stores. Salad in a tiny bowl for $11. The but chips were yum. First ⭐ for always being open, when the other places around are closed Second ⭐ location location location located in the old Oceanus Driftwood restaurant directly on the beach, sunsets are spectacular. Third ⭐ the staff are super cool and friendly, not up themselves like other places I won't mention. Doesn't kill to be nice, goes along way Fourth ⭐ big menu with great food at a reasonable price, This time we just drank a couple of bottles of wine on a Monday avro, conducted a bit of business in the early afternoon before the rush. Great casual restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating (during the day). Made up of two venues: Clancy's Beach Bar (closes 9pm in summer) Clancy's Fish Bar Restaurant The indoors is a more traditional style with waited service, while outdoors is great for off the beach access and order from the counter, but outside closes quite early. Food is average, service good and setting is great with lots of parking. Dog friendly outdoors.

It's nice to be back post covid restrictions and enjoy the view and the price and quiet of a weekday lunch. Still has good food, friendly service which makes it worth the little extra money. I love coming here on the weekends during the day. The sun hits the deck providing a nice comfortable spot by the sea. The location of the Clancy's Fish Pub is probably my favourite as its right by the beach making for a great view. Sadly, this place is very popular on the weekends and there is almost always a wait of 15-25 minutes. Its also a little over priced by my accounts but all in all its nice for a special occasion.

Lovely food, great view, great prices, but unfortunately its sort of poorly maintained. The toilets weren’t clean and there was a spider factory above us for some reason. Right above where we were eating. Not very pleasant. If your not an arachnophobe you might not mind but still…

Ate here with my wife and 4yr old daughter.. The views, the food and drinks were top notch and all the guys that served us from the bar and at the table were really friendly and super helpful. My little girl even commented how lovely the (fresh) fish was.. No complaints whatsoever :-)

We usually go to Clancy's to enjoy the sunset with a hot drink and a bite to eat. Generally the food is ok, especially the fish and chips and the fish tacos. However the new octopus dish was not a winner. The sauce tasted like uncooked canned tomatoes and the octopus itself overcooked. It was a big disappointment. From what I understood is that this dish was not very popular with other customers either. Staff did offer to replace the dish and took off some items off the bill.

Lovely quality food and beverages at speed! Even on a night as busy as New Years Eve, the team was able to keep orders coming within 30 minutes. A feat for a fish and chip venue. Serving sizes could be a little bit larger however I appreciate the use or lack thereof plastic containers for takeaway. Would recommend and come back again.

Crew is amazing. My wife is allergic to many components, particularly pepper of any source. Here in Australia, black pepper is commonly used. They were able to make for us, avoiding always any risk of cross contamination on the grill.

You are always a winner when you dine in at Clancy's Fish Bar in City Beach. The ocean views along with delicious seafood and the traditional fish and chips which I must say the grilled Bream I had recently was cooked just right, it was sweet,tender and accompanied by crunchy chips and coleslaw... I decided to treat myself to a fire engine drink which is great for the kids as well and then a refreshing Italian Aperol Spritz with blood orange in it, then treated myself to a mug of hot chocolate with whipped cream all while just sitting back and watching a funny Netflix movie... Go check it out, plenty of different sitting arrangements to choose from and a gorgeous relaxing place to be on a hot summers day... The staff were friendly and professional... Oh and you get your very own table ipad to order your drinks and desserts from so there is no need to wave down one of the staff to order your drinks then you just pay at the end with the total bill... awesome idea....

I've been here many times in recent months and they always impress me. The fish tacos are great and in winter, they often have their spicy fish stew which I adore. However, I avoid early Saturday nights due to the number of large family/kids groups and the live music which is too loud imo. I prefer lunch due to the fantastic view over beautiful City Beach.

The staff were very patient helpful and knowledgeable. The food was to die for. We had fish taco a first for me and they were tasty well presented and had just the right amount of spice. Then we had apple and rhubarb crumble. Had lots of rhubarb and the white chocolate and raspberry ice cream put me in 7th heaven. Would definitely recommend this place . It is now one of my favorites. The views were superb. One small complaint the chairs we a little hard. Very colourful and beachy though.

Mussels were beautiful. Fried squid was very fried and not much squid. Baked basque cheesecake was ruined by the compote on top which had a funky taste and looked like baby food. Totally odd and unnecessary addition to the dessert. Service was friendly if not a bit vague when it came to gluten free options.

The fried chilli and lime squid was the best squid ive ever had. Good portion, fresh ingredients. Big chunk of lime to squeeze all over and a generous slab of tasty mayo. Didn't get a photo of the squid because we ate it all so quickly. Really cool atmosphere and very friendly staff members.

The food, waiters and view where all good . But there were a few issues, first we had to wait 15-20 minutes to get seated. Then we had to wait 40-45 minutes to get our starting food. After that my parents food came but mine was taking 5 minutes longer. Additionally my mother found plastic in her salad which was mine at the start. Finally, It was tasty, but could improve.

Usually pop in for a coffee after a swim, but decided to have a brunch on a Thurs morning. Great view, delicious dishes, great service and value for money. My bacon and egg on a potato bun with a couple of hash browns contained quality ingredients. The better half had chilli beans and baked eggs in a heated cast iron pan which was also a winner. The Turkish chai tea made out of leaves is a favorite.

I came down was curious the post in Barista forums said here wanna hire a barista which could handle 160kg of coffee beans in a week. The results was that as an experienced barista ,I don't think you guys could reach this volume and sorry to say,the coffee was tasteless....Forth level was alright but can't taste any coffee and only milky . As for service....The flow for split up the docket existed problem.Coffee came after 10mins on Sunday's morning was fine,but cold drinks we have been waited the last mins of the last bite of brekky.That's insane . Approached to some staff of missing order,their attitude just seemed like don't care.And definitely tables no kept messed up with other table.I understood how they were busy .But basic customer service skill should have ,if Someone already told you be waiting long for drinks, doesn't matter how many tasks you are doing at that moment.Solve the missing one and even make it straight to problem table,done.Then you could back to Carry on the orderly docket behind. Only at the end had a boy with good talking skill with apology provided refund . Finally, finishing brekky with thirsty and got drinks at the end. Management ....Do something,your operational flow for floor was failed, table no. Mess up,some of staff not sharp enough for handling missing order,and important thing,high volume of low quality coffees.

I remember there used to be a booklet menu containing many different styles of beer and many different brands. This and the view (no view at all at night, obviously) were the main reasons why I went there. There are now other, better stocked places to go to sample quality beer. They may not have that view so I suppose it's the view or the beer; take your choice.

Clancy's is a nice fish place overlooking the Indian Ocean. A day spent in city beach is never complete without having fish and chips at Clancy's. On occasion we also have breakfast there. We ordered the fried snapper, fried squid and fish tacos. Fish was very good, especially the squid, its as crunchy and tasty as KFC chicken. Fish tacos, I found the salads needed to be shredded thinner and better to use a battered instead of crumbed fish. As it becomes too crunchy. The place and service was excellent and always family friendly. Can't wait for our next visit.

Had a great lunch here on the weekend after a swim at the beach. Was lucky enough to get ocean views. The Whiting was lovely and the cobbler special was awesome. Kids meal yet again was a bit of a let down. The unknown 'fish' was very firm and not that nice. Cant kids have snapper or something that is known rather than frozen or very ordinary fish? Our girl loves Whiting, barramundi, snapper, even shark but nicer fish than the stuff served up to kids. We dont expect a big a portion but better quality. Would have been good to have a garden salad and less chips too. In fact more salad options and less chips on all the plates would have been great. The slaw was refreshing as it was not drowning in mayo but it could have done with more flavour. We ended up squeezing the last of our lemon wedges on it to make it more interesting. Service was fine. Drinks selection was good. Atmosphere great.

We have been to Clancy's Fish Pub in City Beach as a family and also with interstate guests and whilst a bit on the high side for the quality of the food, it is good and when you throw in the view - it is great value for money. There is plenty of tables inside and parking outside, having said that, it is relative to the weather, i.e. in the cooler months there is no issue but it can be tricky on a warm weekend or weekday afternoon as it is a very popular spot for locals and visitors alike.

My partner and I spent the better part of our last day in Perth at Clancy's, and it was such a high to end on. We arrived just before lunch and left on dusk, slowly drinking and snacking on yummy food all day long while taking in the view. Usually a place might hurry you along or hassle you about your next order, but the staff at Clancy's were so easy-going. They popped up when it was clear we might want another drink, suggested the best food to graze on, and were warm and friendly. Last but not least, they went out of their way to help return a hat that I accidentally left behind. All in all, if you're looking for a welcoming place in a beautiful location then you should definitely head to Clancy's.

I like the vibe here, the views are just fantastic. The service was wonderful, just such a shame the food was so bad. Skinny little over cooked steak that cost $38 ... this after ordered swordfish with chorizo and olives with pesto and other goodies only to receive fish on a bed of rice. I was told i must have ordered off yesterday's menu.. no worries, i re ordered. Said to the waiter, "its a nice bloody medium rare?" , he replied that it was.. check out the photo i posted to see what i got. Just disappointed~ dont want to complain a second time. The staff are too nice! Hope they fix the chef.

Our very first trip to WA and we thought we would go out for a celebration dinner at City Beach. We read the latest reviews for Clancy's but decided to go ahead, dine in and watch the beautiful sunset. Glad we ignored the recent reviews, because staff were friendly and bent over backwards to make sure that you were enjoying your meal, really impressed with the menu - we expected it to be a fish and chip restaurant, service was great - food was served so quickly, fresh and hot; and the food itself was delicious!!!! The fettuccine pasta was the best I've ever had, and we loved the squid, beef and stuffed Camembert too. Would definitely recommend the mango and coconut cream panna cotta too, as it tasted so fresh and had real mango. Thanks Clancy's for the great meal and service, it definitely ended the trip on a high note - and we will be sure to come again next time we visit!

Have only had lunch here and brought visitors from overseas as well many times. The food is very good and the staff very pleasant. However there is one flaw, the loud music. The place due to its design is noisy with chatter; fine, but why add loud music of the same genre to the mix? This just means people have to talk louder making things worse. My suggestion is that the staff take a look around and notice the clientele before just putting any old noise on.

The food is good, wih the barramundi a strong recommendation. They have a basket of fries in case you want more of them, which is probably good value for money for Australian standards ($5). The smoothies, however, are not. They probably used to be better, but the new menu sells something that comes from a bottle, with its usual deceptive fruit mixes (it claims to have kiwi, and probably does, but it mostly is apple juice).

Another relaxed evening at Clancy's, one of our family favourites. Service could have been a tad more attentive and there could have been a bit more crunch in the "Clancy's Mess" dessert, but that's pretty minor. The goldband snapper and whiting were excellent, and the kids burgers went down well, with our fussy 8 year old being accommodated with a custom offering without sauce. And they have a great sunset view too.

Came here with the family. Very cool vibe and all the dishes looked delicious. We had the oysters, the kingfish, the paella, the pulled pork burger and the swordfish special. Also ordered a beer and a cider. The oysters and the kingfish were outstanding and the kingfish and paella were nice but nothing really to come back for. The pulled pork was bland and very disappointing. How can you get pulled pork to taste so ordinary? Serves us right for ordering pork at a seafood pub. The staff muat have been off their game. First it seemed they did not want to serve us. After 20 minutes we had to get up and ask to be served. The two beers on the specials board were unavailable as they were juat put into the fridge. And afterwards, when we wanted some pepper and salt we also had to find a staff member as the staff seemed to be doing their best to avoid eye contact. Finally as soon as one person finished their meal the dish was taken away while others were still eating. Must have been a bad day for them. its not as if the place was busy. The only other gripe is the accustics. Very hard to hear the person next to you with the noise. Overall room to inprove.

Came for sunday breakfast. Pretty disappointed in the food. Had the eggs benedict. Half a drizzle of holandaise, eggs were way over cooked and salsa verde had a strange bitter taste. Also bacon was dry, im guessing just thrown in the oven to cook. Highlight was the coffee.
