We went here for lunch and celebrating our birthdays. The ambiance and elegance of the restaurant decor if beautiful and inviting. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We opt for the flavours of the world lunch buffet which only happen on Thursdays /Fridays from 12-2pm. I truly enjoyed every dishes they offered. Good range of different cuisine and flavoursome.

We celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary at the Firewater Grill and were treated to an absolutely delicious meal. The service was impeccable and only made the experience even more memorable. I can highly recommend Firewater Grill to anyone looking to enjoy a fine dining experience. As it was our anniversary we were also surprised with a little anniversary cake which was a lovely touch 🥰

The most amazing lamb rack I have ever had, so tender and tasty, perfect in every way. Desert was honey cake and it was so so sweet and tasty! They gave us a lovely anniversary desert on a plate, which was so sweet. The staff were perfect, couldn't fault them, so friendly.

Went there for dinner on Friday night, it was crowded but the maitre'd let us in which was great. Had a very friendly waitress and prompt friendly service. Its part of the Duxton hotel complex. The decor is modern and has a great outlook onto the Terrace. It's easy to see how this restaurant won so many awards. (see pic) It specialises in steak. The sirloin I had was ☑️perfectly cooked and served with steamed veggies and a yummy mushroom sauce, one of multiple sauces on offer. My wife had spicy prawns and loved them! We also had a visit (at our table) from the hotel manager, who informed us that a new Margaret River butcher has just been retained by the restaurant ! So, in two weeks time a new meat menu will be available. 👍

Been passing the Duxton and Firewater Grill for ~15-years, so often saying; "We must go there and try it one day." That day finally came on Saturday for a long and relaxing lunch - and what a wonderful experience we had. Service was spot on, food was "lick plate" worthy, the atmosphere was quiet and totally agreeable. Best steak I have had in years. The dry aged tenderloin, cooked medium rare, with the pepper berry sauce was exquisite. Followed by a delicious take on a creme brulee to finish off the experience. Service was prompt and friendly. No complaints. Complements to the new chef, Christian.

Had the most wonderful Xmas lunch at firewater Grille at the Duxton. The decorations inside the lobby etc were wonderful and instantly put you in the xmas spirit. We had great expectations after reading reviews. Sadly, this is what happened.. Arrived at 6.30pm & ordered drinks & food almost immediately, as restaurant only had a handful of guests. Our 2 drinks arrived 40 minutes later, AFTER our entree was eaten! My husband ordered the Duck Liver Parfait. We were told it had SOLD OUT, yes at 6.40pm. Obviously a lie, they just didn't have any! Main meals arrived & the waitress asked us who was having which meal, like when you go to a pub or cafe. In a restaurant like this, they should KNOW who ordered what! Decided not to bother ordering dessert or more drinks so went to pay. The EFTPOS machine wouldn't work & as I waited in the foyer, my husband had to stand around while they tried to sort it out. Having said all that, the food was very nice & the ambience was great. Lovely looking restaurant, nice music & comfy seating. We definitely woudn't go back & I would not tell my friends to go there.

Absolutely love this restaurant, the food and customer service is amazing every single time! the restaurant is very classy, and romantic. A shoutout to Ioannis, the few times I have been to this restaurant he has been incredibly lovely, welcoming, polite, and very accommodating, I couldn’t imagine coming to this restaurant and not seeing him! Also Courtney, she took care of our table and orders most of the night, Lovely girl! Very polite and sweet, lovely manners. We had the Spiced Chorizo for entree, enough to satisfy but leave you hungry for more, very tasty. We had the Chateaubriand for mains and it is incredible!! Highly recommend, also the dessert plate is the best if you want to try every dessert but in smaller alternatives to the bigger desserts on the menu, so good. Had an excellent meal before attending WASO concert. The meals were tasty and came out promptly because we told them it was a pre concert meal. My chicken tagine was really excellent and my husband said the fish of the day was good too. No time for dessert but will make up for that next visit. I wanted to surprise my wife on her birthday and indicated on the online booking. The person who welcomed knew about the occasion when we arrived. When I saw a birthday was presented to the table next to us, I was looking forward to the nice gesture. Unfortunately, it did not materialised. When I paid for our dinner, the same person asked whether we had our cake, I told him that we did not. He replied that it was a busy night. It was a good experience and could have been great.

I had breakfast on Mother's day with 4 generations of my family. Everyone was really happy with the ambience which was relaxed and comfortable and the food which included all that you could want for breakfast, was well cooked and frequently replenished. The service was very professional, attentive, friendly and couldn't be faulted. We would all go back again and recommend the restaurant to anyone. In fact we were so impressed we have decided to go back for dinner in a couple of weeks with some of my family for my birthday and include an overnight stay.

I tried the High Tea with some friends and we had a wonderful time! The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful - nobody left hungry! The decor was elegant and comfortable. The table were large enough without cramping anybody, but not so large that conversation was hindered. The harpist was a perfect touch. The staff were attentive and always helpful and professional. Price for the High Tea was reasonable with a free-flowing sparking wine or coffee / tea option. Overall, happily recommend and HAPPY to return!

52 members of SCOAWA held a luncheon on 6 December 2021. Staff were terrific, venue was great and buffet food excellent. We were here in November 2020 and will be back again and again. I cannot recommend this place more highly . The Restaurant manager is a terrific asset for this establishment . Don't go past this place, you will regret it if you do!!

I would totally recommend dining at the Firewater Grille. We had the $39 lunch time buffet to celebrate my husband's birthday. I must say the food was plentiful, fresh and lots to choose from. The staff were so attentive the table was always cleaned no used plates just sitting there and the water glasses were always full didn't even need to ask. As a treat for my husband's birthday the staff brought out a individualised dessert with happy birthday written on it with a candle such a nice touch. We will definitely be back.

We stayed in the hotel and decided to have dinner here. We were a bit disappointed when we saw the menu because there wasn't THAT much variety. However, we ended up ordering Sirloin with a mushroom sauce, hand cut chips and the soup of the day which was a broccoli soup. It was DELICIOUS. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We also ordered dessert and that was amazing aswell. We thought it was a bit expensive for the portions we received but that's to be expected from a fancy restaurant, which it is. The atmosphere is very lovely and the restaurant is well decorated. Would definitely eat here again.

We had the set dinner menu as part of our hotel stay package and whilst the choices were a little limited, the food was exceptional and good value as was the glass of house wine which was included. I was surprised how busy the restaurant was for a very wet and windy Monday evening. However, the four dining staff on duty managed extremely well and at all times they were friendly, attentive and professional. Would definitely go back.

A more Formal setting, atmosphere of finer dining, Great food, not cheap but definitely worth every cent. Service was second to none. Entree was Duck liver parfait smooth and airy making it very pleasant. Mains were Perfectly cooked medium rare 200g tenderloin steak & 200g sirloin steak, mashed potatoes and hand cut fries were on another level. Dessert was from memory Tahitian vanilla creme caramel which would have been suitable for a Master Chef finale. Only negative was parking. Being situated in the Duxton hotel makes parking nearby tricky, unless you willing to pay around $25 for an hour of parking. Despite that negative, not worth scoring anything less than 5 stars. Will definitely be back.

Recently dined at Firewater Grille for their Buffett lunch. It was excellent would highly recommend. The food choices were varied and well thought out to accommodate anyone who may not eat seafood which to me was a big plus, but for those who do eat seafood lovely presentation and fresh as my husband loves his prawns. The ambience was lovely we were given a lovely table by the window and there was no overcrowding around the Buffett area which was nice. The staff were outstanding very efficient and super friendly, 5 star service, really nice to see as there’s not a lot of that around these days. Price is excellent and really good value for money well worth a visit. Thanks to “all” the staff for a lovely time we will definitely return sooner rather than later.

Room is very nicely appointed and well set out, unfortunately, for dinner it is a little too bright and detracts from the overall ambience & atmosphere. Service is generally very good and the food is excellent, though it is certainly on the upper end of the expense side and lower end of the value side.

Went for anniversary dinner with wife have to say as a chef. I was very impressed with the food quality and the chefs skill in preparing his dishes. We had a meal on Saturday night at Firewater Grille. We had a lovely seat next to the waterfall feature with real flame fire . Best seat in the house! The service was excellent. Attentive but not too pushy. We had 3 courses. One of the reasons we are there was because they have Chataeubriand on the menu, one of our favourite dishes. It did not disapoint. It was EXCELLENT. All in all a really lovely evening. Would definitely go there again.

We asked for some chips which took forever to arrive meaning our meal was cold. I would have thought the meal should have been served with some sort of potatoes but if not the wait staff should have asked if we wanted any for an additional charge which they didn't. Nobody asked after if everything was alright as I would have mentioned then. This does not put me off going again, we still really enjoyed the meal and service.

We had our 4th year anniversary dinner there, from the staff right down to the food absolutely spectacular. Services was good with our waiter explaining almost every detail of the options that was presented to us. Food was done perfectly and presented well. Prices were slightly above average but worth it, definitely a place to revisit.

We stayed in the Duxton for Christmas night and had a wonderful time. We booked for the evening Christmas Buffet at the Firewater Grille and it was excellent. It was very busy and the atmosphere was lovely. The staff are excellent and we can't praise them enough . The buffet it's self had everything you could want and we had a lovely bottle of wine to go with it. We usually spend Christmas at another hotel in the city but left booking late and as our usual place was full we decided on the Duxton. We will be having Christmas here again as the staff made our stay so enjoyable. Thank you

Service was poor. A group of 6 of us went in for some steak. 40 mins into the wait we were told they don’t have enough of the ribeye. A little confused why it took so long to inform us. So one of us had to order a tenderloin. As regarding the cook and temperatures of the steaks it was 50:50. We all ordered the same cook temperature whoever some of ours was way less others were on point. Turkish bread is useless. Overly toasted with no flavour just crunch. Waiting staff were not very good at what they did. Our cold drinks had left pools of water on the table. Literally pools of water was just piddling on the table. Is there a dress code? Don’t know because we do all sorts of ppl in there some in their flip flops. Overly priced for the food and experience.

I love the buffet lunch at Firewater Grill, please note they are only doing the buffet on Thursdays and Fridays at the moment, due to Covid. Bloody covid! I really like the atmosphere and all the delicious sweets and treats. The big, deep chairs are very comfy and altogether this is a great spot for a luxe lunch at an easy price. Recommended 🙂

As much as the flavour combinations were perfect, the texture of the steak was tough and chewy. I'd expect it to almost melt given the price tag and it being a scotch filet. Everything else was divine, the only downside was the texture of the steak. The flavours were marvellous. I'll eat here again, in the hopes that this experience was a once off blunder. Went with the family 2 kids 9 and 10 y.o. the kids menu was unexpected and what a size burger they got. My wife and I both ordered the Scotch Fillet and we're both happy. We stayed at the Duxton for 2 nights of celebrating my husband turning 60. On one of the nights we dined at the Firewater Grille. Our meal was absolutely superb. We had the sirloin with mushroom sauce & steamed vegetables in almond butter, and the Spiced lamb rump with crispy anchovies, mustard potato & creamed spinach. Both meals were one of the best we have had in a long while! The meat just melted in your mouth it was that tender & cooked to perfection. The flavours in the sauces exquisite & the vegetables perfectly steamed. Could not fault meal in anyway! We were both too full for dessert but as it was my husband’s 60th the waiter bought out a complimentary slice of lemon pie with happy 60th written in chocolate around it. Staff were friendly & attentive without being intrusive. Well done all round to the Duxton

The service is extremely friendly by the staff and Maitre D and the surroundings are lovely. Being right next door to the Perth Concert Hall the restaurant at the Duxton is an ideal location for a lovely meal before attending a concert, but would suggest allowing plenty of time on a busy night.

Amazing Steaks and Wines accompany with fine dining service. I live in Perth and a steak lover. I have been to many places in Perth for steaks but only Firewater Grille could deliver that mouth watering steak dishes. The steaks cook perfect to order (I like it Medium Rare) every time I came here. It was juicy, and tendered. The burn on the edge of the steak was just perfect. Addition to that is the sauces and mustard selection was delicious. Waiter also offered crack pepper too!! What a fantastic combination. I think the prices is fair for such quality of steak & service. Not mention the wine menu, even the cheapest wine in there could also pair well with the dish. I recommend to ask the manager for the wine selection if you have a picky taste.

My husband and I had our 10 year anniversary dinner here on the weekend. The restaurant is lovely and you can clearly see by the menu that you should either have the Lamb or the Steak. Both our mains were beautiful. I had lamb and hubby had wagyu but entree of 2 overcooked scallops for $22 left a bad taste in my mouth! The desert was very bland I had the Japanese cake and hubby had the Bailey's cheesecake, definately note a wow moment. The mains however stole the show and we were happy. As always our recent dinner at Firewater Grille, this time for a Birthday celebration was most enjoyable. The food as always was most delicious and the attention by the Maître D and staff is always exemplary. After enjoying our main course selection and perfectly steamed vegetables we shared a delicious dessert of a ginger and cardamom brûlée with mango saffron ice cream and then were surprised with a lovely dessert plate with lemon tart with Birthday candle and Birthday greetings written in chocolate. Firewater Grille is also a lovely restaurant to be able to have a conversation as it is carpeted so the noise levels are lot better than the majority of restaurants these days. We will look forward to our next visit to Firewater Grille.

The omelette station and pancake machine provided a little wow factor thats expected for a buffet. The first time I went to this upper-class restaurant I was very impressed. The management and staff were impeccable, when you go to a nice restaurant you want to be waited on without having to have to chase them for food and drinks and as soon as we walked in we were welcomed with a table, bread and drinks promptly. I had a lovely reef and beef steak with veg and it was great. Everytime anyone was even getting close to finishing a drink someone was there to get another imediatly. Kids were also well catered for. It was so good I went the very next night, however a few months later I went back and management of the floor staff had changed and of course by then the menu had also. The waiters and waitresses were a lot less organised and I had to chase drinks and even the bread after I first sat down. The food was still really good but I had my heart set on that lovely reef and beef and being a change of menu was disappointing but in the end was still lovely. I will still go back another time.

Very Disappointed. I went for the Traditional Xmas Buffet long lunch $55. Drinks not cheap on top. Lovely venue good staff but food very ordinary. No roast potatoes, roast veg or sprouts, pigs in blankets etc. Stuffing was hard dry balls. Tiny jug of brandy custard so had to ask for it. Before i knew it was told last chance at buffet as closing up so was a short lunch really. I think when you pay that much money lunch should stay open longer its Xmas lunch after all.
