Comments of Grand Lane Fish House

This is probably the best fish and chips I've ever had. Batter is light and fluffy, chips look like they're handcut? everything was really generous and using top quality ingredients.
m. g.
Cod Chips and Ruby Sauce. Just lovely.
Very friendly staff, seated us in front of the aircon which was much appreciated on this 40 degree day.

Went in unexpectedly since I suddenly had a craving for fish & chips when we were passing by the shop
Ordered a fisherman’s plate with tartare & extra curry sauce and coleslaw.
Pretty average fish & chips. Chips were stale (somewhat looked like they just gave us whatever was left from the previous order since they had a couple more tables ordered before us). Fish (Hake) had a thin batter but didn’t stay crispy for long enough & got soggy pretty quickly.
Kinda self-service for everything when you dine in.
It’s cheap price for CBD location so probably that’s why the fish & chips wouldn’t be that great.
Also, you could find better fish & chips near the beach side with even cheaper prices (for ex, near Cottesloe beach)
Calamari & battered prawns were better than the fish though
Not sure if we’ll be coming back
j.
This is probably one of the best fish and chip shops in Perth and definitely the best in the city. I loved the fish here, the batter was very crunchy and the meat just melted in your mouth the chips were also nice and were handcut. The shop itself is unique since it also has the space of the alley behind which gives it a novel eating experience with the street art next to the seating. I am definitely returning again in the future for more fish and chips :)

Visited early in 2020. The fish and chips here were heavenly, crispy on the outside and not oily. The calamari and the sweet potato fries were really good too. Owner was friendly to introduce the types of fish for us to try.
S. L.
Absolutely love the fish and chips! Everything is fried to perfection, and the chips are crisp on the outside but melts in your mouth. The lightly-crisped tempura-battered fish has a full-bodied flavour but it isn't overpowering or greasy. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and would travel 100kms for this again, and even pay double. If you are a fan of fish and chips this is one stop you must not miss!
L. Z. W.
Superb food and still the best after we get around Perth for a week. We make it again before heading back. Fish is a must and the chip is nice. Recommend the mushy peas as well.
K. L.
Had the Fisherman's Basket. Everything was yummy especially the fries 😅
S. Y. L.
OMG, literally had the best fish n chips ever in my life. Walking all the way from our hotel to here, although there is a bit difficult to look for this restaurant but we did not give up after seeing all the comments about Grand Lane Fish House were so good! Friendly owner, explain and let us know what’s the special and also what they have on the menu one by one to us. Love their Cod fish so much! people who travelling to Perth must try!!!
Food: 10/10
Cleanliness: 10/10 (the toilet first impression for me was like, OMG it’s extremely clean and full with fishes wallpaper, so cute! I love that!)
Friendly: 10/10
Place: 10/10 (totally agree to what the owner said. what he is going to pay was just 1/8 or 1/10 compare to those shops outside the street. Just remember that if you make great food, people will come and find you) just go to the backstreet of Barrack street from *Anytime Fitness there, and you will see Grand Lane!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Best of the best
M.
Best fish and chips in town. Batter was light and crispy, not too oily and fresh fish. Chips were chunky and texture was nice. Crispy on the outside, well cooked potato on the inside. Generous portion. Left the place with a happy tummy. Try this place if you are in Perth!
T. L.
The owner's friendliness is contagious and he goes so in depth on each fish. You can take his word for it when you ask for his opinion. We bought the arctic haddock and the atlantic cod. The haddock was slightly more moist though thinner and smaller on aggregate (cod had 2 pieces compared to 1 haddock). The fish have a nice crispy layer of batter that's not too thick nor too oily. The highlight to me were the fresh cut fries. They had substance and were crunchy! Would recommend this place to anyone looking for decent unhealthy fried food in downtown perth. For any overseas visitors, this is THE fish n chips place to go to, not the ones in Fremantle.
J. C.
Great fish and chips and lovely host. He kept the kids (and adults) entertained, and he sure had deep knowledge about fish.
A. '. A. C.
This has to be hands down the best British style Fish and Chips in Perth at the moment. Good portions and done properly, even imports that extra special fish and chip shop curry sauce. Thanks Everyone.
I. R.
Absolutely the best fish n chips I’ve ever eaten. Curry chips, oh so moorish. Very friendly crew and to top everything off, free beers!!!! I’d give 10 stars if I could.
S. D.
Best fish n chips well cooked well drained. Barra fish was beautiful.good value for money. Gluten free options available
Highly recommend
J. J.
Maybe I was the last customer of 04 Dec. This restaurant is very kind and sensible. Not only the Boss, but all the staff! I hope you must go if you want to eat amazing Fish and chips in Perth! Thank you for being kind to foreigners. See ya!
H. L.
Had a late lunch takeaway (fisherman's basket) on a weekday. Service was really friendly, but fish and calamari tasted a little stale to me. The hand cut chips, while good and tasty, could have been more crunchy. I might come back to give these guys another shot some day!
M. N.
Generous serving sizes, good service, and everything cooked super fresh. Home made/hand cut chips way nicer than frozen chips at every other shop. Shame they’re never busy, people are missing out on a genuinely nice place to eat
D. L.
A hidden gem in the heart of Perth! 💎
Best Fish & Chips in Perth/Fremantle area! Way better than Kailis, Cicerello or Little Creatures!!! You can't find any better Fish & Chips unless you fly direct to the UK!!!
Paul (the owner) is friendly and chatty.
Meg (the chef) cooked us a lovely and delicious meal!
The North Atlantic Cod was fresh, flaky and juicy... definitely must-try!!! The fish batter was light, crunchy and not oily!!! Reminds me of the best beer batter while I was in the UK!
Don't miss out on the Cape Hake, Barramundi, King Threadfin and Smoked Cod! They are awesome as well!
Will definitely be back for more!
2 thumbs up! 👍👍
P. C.
A good place to have fish and chips, I came here three time during my two week holidays in Perth. The fish choices are so good, wish I could have time to try them all.
K.
BEST fish & chips. ever! the cod was really fresh and the batter was crispy, yummy yet light. service was great too & the person who took my order was really accommodating & patient even though I hesitated for quite a bit before finalizing my order. I had a hard time finishing the fries but they were also delicious! Please try this when you’re at perth!
g. v.
Really nice person, will come out and check on you when he clears all orders. The fish and chips and tacos were splendid. Crispy skin and moist fish. I highly recommend.
P. F.
I was hoping for so much given the reviews. It was a good classic fish and chips tho not spectacular like the ones along great ocean road. The calamari tasted odd though - there wasn't a bite to it, just soft throughout, as if it wasn't fresh. I recommend buying the tartar sauce cuz the food doesn't come seasoned. Otherwise, a good back alley ambience for a quick and easy fish and chips!
J. J.
If you're feeling adventurous and wanna hunt for a gem in Perth CBD area then I would completely recommend this Fish & Chips joint. It is so god damn authentic and delicious! I had the Atlantic cod fish and chips and it was so fresh and sweet and it was just delightful! Kudos to Paul for doing such an amazing job! He made my last meal in Perth completely memorable.
B. S.
What a great find! Double fried hand cut chips, melt in your mouth cod and the best curry sauce in Perth! Oh, and they have Yorkshire Tea...
R. Y.
A Street Food place in its best. Very good fish & chips (4) in a lovely atmosphere and a beautiful lane (5). Total rank should be 4.5. The home made TarTar sauce is the best of the best.
M. D.
If you're having trouble finding it: go to the place Google Maps says to go to, which is the flag, then go about 2 metres forward to the alley. Go into the alley, turn left and you will see another flag.
Yum! Best fish and chips I've had in all of Australia. We ordered the Fisherman's basket which is a huge fillet of fish, 3 calamari rings, 3 prawns and heaps of hand cut chips. We also got a side of coleslaw. The chips were amazing! You can actually taste the potatoes. Fish and prawns we're really good. Calamari was crumbed perfectly. Coleslaw was properly vinegary which seems to be hard to come by elsewhere. Also got a root beer! Loved everything. So happy we came here.
B. B.
Had lunch here a few times now... cooked perfectly, really light and crispy fish, onion rings etc. Even the coleslaw is nice and I don't even like coleslaw normally. Casual dining space. This fish and chips is another level and just better than anything I've had before.
N. B.
Always get friendly service here, definitely the best Fish and Chips in the CBD, in my top 3 for Perth as a whole.
Give the joppe sauce a try with your chips!
J. K.
Definitely lives up to the claim of best fish and chips in Perth. The food was all fresh and tasty, real old style/rustic chips with true flavour. Price is VERY reasonable for the high quality. Customer service was amazing, kids ate every crumb! Definitely worth the trip!
J. G.
I was suspicious when I saw a 4.9 Google Maps rating and so many overly positive reviews. So, we had to check it out. Somehow, this place lives up to the hype. Amazing chips, complimented well by both sauces we tried. Calamari was incredibly fresh with batter that crumbled off deliciously in your mouth. And then there's the fish... What magic does this shop possess? Anyways, certainly come check it out for yourself. Just a short 3 minute walk from Perth central station. A fisherman's box and large chips with dip cost just A$24:
m. p.
Some guy said the chips were bad, screw that guy he has the palette of a child. Nice chips 👍, friendly owner & service.
M. Z. B. (.
Good simple place to drop by for freshly prepared Fish & Chips and minus the big crowd (maybe we came by after the lunch crowd). Had the Fried Calamari too. And q quick service too. Nothing fancy, just for quick lunch on the go while doing our tourist thingy in Perth. And it doesn't burn a hole in your wallet. Recommended.
F. T.
Excellent fish and chips. Have the threadfin as recommended and it’s good!! Calamari is out of the world. Nice ambience with excellent service with owner explaining the difference between the fishes and sauces. When I was there, it was manned by a nice gentleman and beautiful lady. Both from England.
L. M.
Big knowledge of fish and fresh done chips.
Salty fish I assume from the butter maybe.
Size was small.
l. w.
We have the greatest fish and chips 🍟 when we travel in Perth. We try the smoked cod👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼and I love the sauce very much.
D. M.
10 of us went for a precursor to a night out. Amazing food and service with a bottlo around the corner for some cheeky byo. Great vibe only bettered by the generous well priced meals!
J. C.
When you imagine fish and chips, whatever you see is probably not this hidden gem. Go through a dodgy looking alleyway off barrack street, go past toastface grillah, to the tables. You'll sense the Melbourne laneway dining experience before you arrive in the modern, well decorated store.
Don't let the price fool you! This is not your average fish and chip shop. They use their own chips, fish and even the light, delicate batter on said fish. It's a one of a kind experience in the heart of the city.
P. W.
A hidden gem in a back alley, by far the best fish and chip joint in town. In fact better than those that I had in London. Everything was made fresh and with a big portion.
D. B.
Beautiful, genuine chippy. Great, friendly service, to boot.
Icelandic cod is magnificent, as is the mushy peas. Chips spot on. BYO and casual, outdoor seating.
K. K.
The best and also my fravorite Fish and chip restaurant. Many kind of fish to try. Very impressive. The owner is nice and fish expert.
A. J.
Amazing fish and chips here. The chips were perfect by themselves, but we added curry sauce for an extra treat.
V. M.
Best fish and chips ever and calamari was also so good. Really nice and friendly staff and also I liked the music there! Also prices were good, not too expensive at all.
E. M.
Fish was very fresh. Squid very tender. Truly one the good fish and chips shops in perth. and the dude there was very knowledgeable and accommodating
M. W.
I was just about to give up on fish and chips in Perth. After so many let downs.. but this place shattered my expectations, beautiful pan fried fish. Everything melts in your mouth. I couldn't recommend this place more highly
J. M.
Hidden away in this little alley way nook, the bloke that owns it is soo good he knows alot about the fish he is selling and is really passionate about his job. The food was top notch little bit pricey for fish and chips but definitely worth every penny just too bad that it isnt located on the beach!!! A++
E. X.
Ordered a fisherman's Box, nice crispy fillet of hake fish. Meat is juicy and white. 3 panko crumbed calamari, it's thick and soft so no worries. There are 3 battered prawns, nothing to complain about, it's delicious. The hand cut chips are thick and crispy, goes well with the salt which you can grind on the side. The dips is great, tried the garlic mayonnaise and was not disappoint.
B. L.
I ordered 1x Fisherman Basket, 1x Pan fried Hake, and 1x Fish Cake delivered through DoorDash.
The Fisherman Basket - Was Good. The Fish, Calamari and Prawns were all battered nicely. Not a giant mountain of chips like they give you at some places, but the amount was adequate and higher quality. The chips were a little soggy but that can be attributed to it being wrapped then steaming from the heat. Not a lot can be done though as it was delivery. You also get quite a substantial pot of sauce.
Pan fried Hake - Excellent. Light, buttery, and the herbs and lemon added to the taste. A bit thin though. Pretty standard thickness for a fish and chips shop though.
Fish Cake- Not what I expected. I kinda expected like an Asian fish cake texture. But was closer to a Japanese potato croquette in terms of texture. Still pretty tasty though.
Price - A bit on the high side, but reasonable considering the (what looks like shop made) fries, the ridiculous price of seafood in Perth and the quality of the meal. Definitely a decent price for a higher quality fish n chip though. You get what you pay for.
Suggestions - The only thing I was slightly disappointed about was that there was no Scallops on the menu like they have at some fish n chip places. I love scallops. Maybe I just didn’t look hard enough on the DoorDash menu. Anyway it’s just a little suggestion I’d like to put out there.
I. I.
Best fish and chips I've ever had in Australia! Owner's really nice and friendly, the chips are impeccable (the potatoes are so soft you can feel them melt in your mouth), and the fish was absolutely delicious! More than that, I really appreciated that they serve housemade sauce! What a pleasant surprise! An absolutely perfect place to visit, too good to miss!
Y. H. C.
Have a great Fish and Chips here with takeaway option.
Very tasty and juicy + the homemade sources.
Owner is friendly and nice environment.
A. O.
Delicious food and fun, enthusiastic staff. True English fish'n'chips and all made on site from the hand cut chips to the homemade sauces.
l. T.
found this little place today wow if you ever had english fish and chips and fancy a real taste of home try this place. such a freindly owner with a passion to delivery great freindly service with the best fish and chips around great work love this place
Z. R. H.
Met Paul , he was very friendly. We asked as to whether the pork and fish were cooked in the same area, and he explained he does it separately. So for those muslims wanting a good fish and chips, this is the place to go! By far the best fish and chips in Perth! The food is fantastic! A+
P. W.
Great service and amazing fish and chips. I would recommend this place to anyone
The above was a review from one year ago, still great fish and chips, although we had to take our mushy peas back to be reheated. The reason I've dropped from 5 stars to 3 stars is because it was blood freezing 31/07/2021
The lady did put the heater on but may I suggest you close the roller doors and only have one enterence open to the restaurant.
J. S.
Great fish, lovely crispy batter, with even better hand cut chips cooked to perfection.
Entry/exit lane to the shop needs to be safer since it is relatively dark with some homeless people just hanging around in a group.
G. T.
Good place for a fish and chips specially in the CBD. I recommend this pace
S. C.
Good food! We ordered the fisherman's box - underestimated the portions! Left the place really full.

First up the food was great. Really made me feel at home. However half way through my meal I discovered a small rock. By biting on it. Now I’m not mad more just amazed that this could happen. So thanks for the great meal and hopefully a once in a lifetime event.
S. W.
Awesome joint.. Their food is fresh. Love the calamari! Most have when u visit Perth
M. G.
Great place to have a fresh seafood with high quality. The staff is totally frindly and the prices reasonable :-) I would come again
I. M.
As a Brit living in Canberra, I really miss quality fish with real fresh chips - the frozen ones just don't work. Please to say that here ticked all of the boxes, delicious cod and chips, I also took a battered sausage and black pudding away which didn't disappoint; highly recommended!
J. J.
Am glad I stumbled upon this out of the way gem while out for a late night munch. Had the seafood platter, which is awesome. But awesomer was the various dips they have. Tried a few, did not regret it.
X. X.
Awesome place tucked away in Perth City. Nice batter, eatable not oily. I brought 3 serves of Battered Prawns and they were just perfect. Also allowed me to buy a handful of chips as I don't eat many. I recommend the menu here any day of the week. - Allen Williams
N. W.
Amazing place. Proper hand cut chips and the owner is so lovely!
S. W.
Awesome joint.. Their food is fresh. Love the calamari! Most have when u visit Perth
M.
The most tasty fish and chips!!!! Must try in Perth you will not disappointed in this Fish house.
H. U.
Best fish and chips in Perth cbd and dare I say the whole of Perth. Well up to yoh to believe me but compare to any other fish and chips restaurants in Perth city and the surrounding 3km radius none can compare to this place.
My go to fish and chips whenever I crave for it.
Keep up the good job fellas.

A hidden Gem.
Meandering Perth's busy CBD street one night, I decided to venture down Grand Lane on my way to a gig in Northbridge. About halfway through I stumbled upon the Fish House and feeling quite peckish I decided to venture in.
Oh was that a good choice! The boss' passion for simple yet mouthwatering fish and chips quickly convinced me. Sauces were home made has well!
Totally coming back when the winter fish soup will be on.
K. F.
Best fish and chips in Perth, so far 😊
N. H.
Delicious! We ordered the fisherman's basket and dinner box. Both cooked perfectly, skin on chips were a delight. The highlights were the chicken balls, like little chicken kiev's so tasty! and the fried pork sausage with curry sauce not something I would usually order but I will definitely be going back for.
E. S.
Super delicious and kind owner there!
The amount of dish was quite huge for us but we wanted to try various kinds of them. Want to visit again.
N. J.
Best fish and chips in perth!!! Pickled onions, gravy, curry sauce and vimto, everything a brit could ask for <3
J. J. A.
Fisherman's Box. Good stuff😜😋
S. K.
Food from previous visits was always well cooked and delicious but unfortunately this last experience was extremely disappointing. The batter on the fish was soggy and fally off it and it didn't taste of the cod which we ordered. The onion rings were crispy but all we could taste was grease and the overall experience was not enjoyable at all. I'm not sure if the place has new owners or was just having an off day but hope it was the latter and that things improve for them as this used to be the best chippy in the city.
L. W.
No longer suitable for coeliacs due to the separate fryer being 'broken' (I take this to mean they weren't getting enough gluten-free business to warrant running and cleaning an additional fryer) for some time. Gluten-free batter is pointless if the cooking oil isn't safe.
Cooked me a piece of barramundi in the pan I was assured would be juicy, but instead was overcooked and broken up.
Chips are as good as always.
k.
Amazing fish and chip shop! My favorite in Perth and the owner is often working there and is super attentive and does an amazing job. Definitely try the fish taco’s!

A great little find. Fantastic little fish and chips shop in the middle of the city.
Definitely, recommend.

Best fish and chips I've ever eaten!
K. W.
Not only is this the best fish and chips in Perth, this is better than anything else I have had in the country so far. The location is a bit different where it fronts a lane way but you can also access through a travel agency on the Main Street too. Tables are available for eating in with all the condiments supplied. The fish is delicious and fresh, and the standout is the chips. You need to try these! A must visit.
M. M.
This is the best fish and chips I have had in Perth! It is down the alley and the first time you go you may not be quite sure where you are headed, but it is just off the main street. The owner is lovely and very passionate about what he does... Every time we bring someone new he explains all the fish and how he makes the chips and it is awesome! We have brought several friends here and the consensus is always that it's some of the best fish and chips they have had. Simple food done very well. And the price is right - you're looking at about 14-17$ for fish and chips depending on which fish you want and we always leave very full! If you're looking for some great fish and chips, come here- you won't be disappointed!
A. L.
Awesome fish and chips!! Best in the city for sure. Setting is really cool with nice outdoor tables in a cool alley, the chips are AMAZING - crispy but still soft on the inside. I loved the Hake, perfectly cooked, nice batter which wasn’t too oily. Service is incredible - super friendly and super quick! My go to lunch stop when I’m in the city shopping!!
C. C. M.
Fresh fish served here with great sauce!!! Personally love the siracha mayonaise sauce.
K. H.
Visited whilst in Perth, wow the food is amazing and the gentleman who runs this chip shop is a lovely man. We opted for the cod and chips with homemade tartar sauce. I have to say they were tasty, fresh and probably the best fish and chips in a long while. A lot of chippys in the UK cannot get the batter right but this was exactly as it should be hot, fresh, light and extremely tasty. Highly recommend. Oh and the price was very good to. Thanks for a great lunch.
J. B.
Delicious Hake and regular fries. Yummy homemade tartare sauce. Just enough food to fill me up.
Service was quick and the staff were friendly.
They even had a working( and singing) Big Billy Bass (remember them?) on the counter.
This will be my go to place for fish and chips when I am in the city.
P. P.
Beautiful barramundi! The owner knows his stuff and is passionate about providing the best fish and chips in Perth
T. O.
Had the fisherman’s plate. Everything crispy and juicy. Probably the best so far in Perth. Also very quick.
M. G.
Great place to have a fresh seafood with high quality. The staff is totally frindly and the prices reasonable :-) I would come again

Fish is good but the chips are fantastic!!!!!! Sooooo yummy!!!!! Definitely the best in Cbd 🤤

Wow twice fried chips were some of the tastiest in Perth. Nice amount of crunch with the right amount of texture and bold flavours of potato. The fish and calamari were lighty battered and cooked to perfection. The portion was just right! Will return when I need a fish and chips fix in the city!
P. D.
They use a cottonseed oil canola oil mix in the deep fry. It's a healthy take on the cottonseed oil fried fish and chips Liverpool in GB was once famous for.
The chips are crisp outside and fluffy inside. The batters are always perfect and the fish is to die for.
It's the closest thing to a real Merseyside fish and chips I've ever found in Perth.
A. B.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The wait time from order to collection is little to insignificant. The food is exquisite and yet so simple. When I bit into my calamari ring, I was expecting the usual all crumb and air with a hint of calamari in the middle somewhere - I was so very wring. Inside the beautiful panko crumb was a thick, juicy, buttery and tender calamari flesh I have eaten in a long while. The prawns were plump and juicy. I paid an extra $1.50 to replace my fish in my Fisherman's Box to Atlantic Cod. Large moist flakes of premium fish lightly battered to perfection.
We also tried the Fish Tacos - a dish not to be missed.
Visit, enjoy the only reason we gave less than 5 stars is when eating outside the drains and alley can get smelly enough to put you off your food.
F. T.
Sets the benchmark for all fish houses in WA and simply cannot be beaten from pricing, quantity, quality and consistency. Number 1 by far and the closest to a 'proper chippy' you will find in this hemisphere! The self serve tables of endless salt and vinegar is a winner, lots of seating and everything cooked from fresh to order. Hidden GEM!!
I. B.
This place is the real deal. Some Fish'n'Chip shops claim to be British when all they do is have a few items like mushy peas on the menu. Grand Lane Fish House sells real North Sea Cod, which not only tastes fantastic (a bit like the better local stuff such as Dhufish and Red Emperor) but is full of healthy fish oil (unlike the local warm water fish). And they use Maris Piper potatoes for their chips. On top of that, they make their mushy peas from scratch!
J. C.
Absolutely sensational!!!
The best fish & chips I have ever eaten by far.
The cod was amazing, the chips were as good as my Mums & the mushy peas were divine!
I give Grand Lane a 10/10.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
J. K.
Wow.. the food was so amazing 😝
Definitely will visit again 😎
B. F.
Located down a side lane off of Wellington Street. A bit dark at night so not the easiest to see. Ordered the fish and large chips with Calamari. One order of fish and chips is enough to feed two people! We went here a few weeks ago after hearing good things, staff helpful and food served promptly. The fish and hand cooked chips were fab but the star was the best mushy peas I’ve had in years,
O. L. P.
We are from Melbourne and after having a bad run of finding a good fish n chip shop I did some research and stumbled on this little lane way gem. The fish n chips here are amazing. Ive never been to a fish n chip shop where the service was so good. The chip are hand cut and taste how i remember when i was a child. The fish was so fresh and tasted amazing . Definatly the best in Perth. We are definatly going to try and get there again before we leave. A must visit if you want the best.

Been meaning to try this place for a while and finally got there today. Wow it's great, the fish was so good as were the chips. The curry sauce was perfect (none of that watery stuff) and lovely service too - what more do you want. Will definitely be back.
A. B.
Authentic, crispy but soft inside, fresh fish and chips. Woman working there was lovely. Met all of my needs. Will be returning!
R. W.
Great little shop on a quaint ally filled with street art! We were able to sit on an outdoor patio on front of the murals. The gentleman we spoke with was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the fish and answered our questions about the menu. Some of the fish are out of stock due to a shortage but the alternative he suggested, Hoke, was great! We also tried threadfin too. The fish was perfectly battered and cooked well! The fries were delicious, really putting the meal over the top. We got the garlic mayonnaise sauce.
W. T.
Read all these 5 star reviews and had a hankering for fish'n'chips so I had to check it out. Did not disappoint!
Nice simple atmosphere, plenty of shade and removed from the street/malls.
Awesome friendly service, food prepared quickly, really fresh fish, calamari and amazing chips (lemon and sauce were included). Great value too, have paid twice as much for less food and no-where near as good. Thumbs up!
M. G.
The panko-crumbed calamari was outstanding!
And the grilled baramundi was tasty.
Another note is that they hand cut the chips and double cook them themselves! Wow!
A. A.
Love the fish n chips here!! A few types of fish to choose from with own cut chips! The owner here is very friendly and explained about his shop and menu. Love the artistic back alley where u can take good pictures while enjoying your food. Fully recommended!
I. I.
The food was amazing and the owner was really friendly. He took the time to explain the whole menu to us and suggested which one is the best. Really recommend it!
K. R.
The yummiest Fish and chips i have had since New Zealand.
I will have to rate Grand Lane Fish House the best in Perth A++
O. W.
My family and I visited in January after reading excellent reviews on here. It was a very hot day and we were the only customers at the time, so the owner came to our table and explained all the different fish options and gave us his personal suggestions. He was more than happy to also pose for a couple of photos for and with my Mum in front of the shop. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. If you're in Perth do not miss the chance to go here and try REAL fish and chips.
S. K.
Why did Perth have to wait so long for such satisfying fish and chips? I eat there once a week and every time I have a wonderful experience. The service is great but most of all the chips and any piece of fish you buy is an awesome treat. Anyone who knows me well, knows I am a big fish and chip fan - so this review is coming from the knowledge and experience I have from eating copious amounts of fish and chips from all around the world.
K. K.
We went there a couple of times, excellent food and friendly staff. Sooooo good. Highly recommend it!
A.
Had a great meal here. Staff were so friendly. We had the fish tacos and a fisherman's basket with the curry sauce. The fish in the basket was really nice as were the calamari and prawns. Chips were well cooked and great serving size. We discovered they do two types of curry sauce, an English one and an Irish. They were both nice but we did prefer the Irish one. 😬
Will bring the kids next time. Loved it.
A. T.
Hidden gem in a lane way just off the mall. The panko calamari is to die for and a personal favourite of mine
b. S.
Grand Lane Fish House was recommenced to us by friends and it certainly didn’t disappoint! The chips were deliciously crispy, with the skin left on and the fish was light and flaky! Best fish and chips we’ve found in Perth! Will definitely be back to try the fish tacos!
c.
Had dinner there this evening with a work colleague. He's British and was looking for good fish and chips. We were not disappointed! Thin crispy batter, delicious fries, and that tartare sauce, wow. I can count on the fingers of one hand how many times in my 55 years that I've had really good fish and chips, I may need another hand now. Especially since I'm going to try a fish burger next time.
A. K.
The best fish & chips in the CBD. Though you pay $20ish for a meal, there is not any tomato sauce or Ketchup on the table!
M. A.
A little oily is the worst I'll say. I enjoyed the service, a cheery place to eat and a nice little location worth exploring. I had the fisherman's box so fish, prawns, squid and chips. All were good quality so I'd recommend them. When I say oily, if it was in England it would be just right as you burn food like that to keep warm and run around. For Australian climate maybe use a lighter oil like rice bran. But yes, good fish and chips served by nice people.
D. S.
Great the little place, food was really good - service was great. Had a nice relaxed atmosphere about it.
t. g.
Joppie sauce better than the original!! I wear the stains on my shirt too proudly. Definitely a gem that I take all my friends to.
W. S. T.
Great food served here. Seatings in the alley full of fine grafitti art, kind of enjoyed the scene.
A. S.
The Grand Lane Fish House is awesome - very authentic fish and chip shop - with a UK feel to it. The fish tacos are delicious and highly recommended. Crunchy beer battered fish and salad in a fresh taco wrap is unbeatable - best in Perth I reckon!
R. W.
Friendly service..fresh food. Had the fisherman’s box. Definitely tasty!
M. P.
The best fish and chips in Perth, with the most delightful staff. I tripped and dropped a piece of fish off my plate outside, the young gentleman in the shop noticed and quickly dashed in to arrange another serve - totally unexpected and rare to find such customer service. I would not hesitate to recommend.
A.
A true classic fish, chips and curry sauce. The charm, charisma & character of this captivating side alley chip shop is only out done by that of the wonderful owner and staff. True service with a smile.
The simple menus is has been perfected, it's short and sweet and every item is of incredible quality and taste.
Only thing to be aware of is it's mostly out door dining, so bring a coat if it's cold.
J. G.
I was in the mood for some fish and chips and willing to settle for any place that had it. My partner however looked on Google maps and found Grand Lane Fish House. It was a bit difficult to find since it is in an alleyway but we found it. I'm glad we did and glad we went here versus any other place. This is the best fish and chips I've had in Australia. Chips were amazing, calamari was perfectly crumbed, and fish was tasty. We got the fisherman's box with the Sriracha garlic mayo and that was just what I was looking for. If you are in the mood for fish and chips go ahead and track this place down.
B. M.
Great place for fish and chips. The chips are handmade ones, so full of flavour. Great selection on the menu. If you’re British, you’ll definitely enjoy eating here. Definitely recommend eating here. I’ll definitely be back.
B. F. P. (. f. P.
Good portions and quality fish and chips. Best battered pork sausage for ages, maybe because it’s a real sausage and not some supermarket special bbq one. Owner likes to spruce the Maris piper potatoes used in his skin on chips and all the types of fish but I guess that has an appeal for the tourists. It’s outside seating so probably not a great venue when it’s raining
C. D.
Amazing fish and chips, the hoki was fresh and the chips were golden and perfectly crispy.
They are also very coeliac friendly - they have gluten free batter for the fish, and separate friers (including for the chips)!
Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good gluten-free feed in Perth.
A. C.
If u are in the City, drop by for the chips even if u're not hungry. Fresh seafood and light, crispy batter can be found in a few other places in Perth but the chips here are outstanding. Freshly cut, really crispy on the outside and not mushy inside. Heaps of different sauces to choose from as well. Around 12 to 15 per person and u will walk away very full. Very friendly service and they will let u know if u're over ordering.
J. V. H.
Friendly and kind, helpful with suggestions.
The fish and chips amazing, I had the barramundi and my wife has the north Atlantic cod. I must say though the panko calamari, stole the show for a bit there. It was amazing the calamari, my wife and I wonder how it was made so tender yet crispy at the same time. Anyways fantastic little spot. Will be back for sure.
J. T.
As they say, good places are hard to come by. Although this place is rather accessible, the location might cause some heads to turn. But fret not, because its isolated alleyway location is actually an amazing dining spot, coupled with fresh and outstanding dishes, makes up for an unforgettable experience.
The fish served is not only fresh but cooked to perfection. The batter is also well made and has an amazing crisp. One item that is a definite must-try would be the calamari. The squid retains its juiciness, yet still soft enough to cut with little cut effort unlike most.
L. R.
First time at this venue. Relaxed vibe, great service and chips were crisp, tasty, and free of excess oil. The garlic mayonnaise was homemade, and tasty. Everything here is well presented. The menu is generous, with a large number of fish on offer with a selection of chip/cheese/curry/fish combinations. The price on the premium variety fish is not cheap (but with anything in life, you get what you pay for), the rest of the menu is quite competitive. The location itself is literally steps away from the hustle of Murray Street Mall, yet it is private even on the outside seats thanks to its location in a lane-way, just before the bottleneck where you can only walk through.
Hoping to come back here as this place ticks all the right boxes for a gourmet fish and chippery.
A. H.
Amazing fish and chips, definitely stood up to the name of best in Perth. Would go again!
R. P.
Ok from all the hype about this place, decided to take my family here who were visiting from abroad.
My objective opinion, fish very well done however the better was a little oily so was not crispy for long after it arrived on the table.
First round of chips was a let down, soggy and good in some parts, second round of chips was more on point crispy and had more of those crunchy bits.
Irish’s sausage good , calamari was good , apparently the chicken balls were good as well.
Mushy peas were nice but lacked seasoning.
Customer service was good for the most part, a little inattentive at the till, we were a large group, and did spend a fair amount, when asked for suggestions, it wasn’t so helpful. That said they were friendly.
Would we come back here, yes but not in a rush, for all the hype it did meet the brief for the most part. 75/100 for me.
S. Y.
loved how it was hidden in alley of the main road, not what you expect, but for us it was cozy, and charming. the owner is a pleasant chap, down to earth, knows his fish like his own children. very pleasant guy to speak with.
fish and chip are the best we had so far..light, crispy, not oily, not fishy, not mushy, soggy. we orderd 2 hake and one hoki. we enjoyed it very much. looking forward to try the rest of the menu.
thank you
R. S.
The Grand Lane Fish House deserves seven stars and not just the five google allows for its highest rating. The food was great (especially the calamari) and the owner was a friendly outgoing gent whom you can tell enjoys what he does. The prices were very favourable as well. Without a doubt the best place I dinned at during my stay in Perth.
T. F.
Really loved this place from the very beginning. Wonderful customer service, the gentleman kindly walked us through the entire menu and was very welcoming. Food was tasty. Couldn’t be happier
F. A.
Ordered takeaway Uber eats fish and squid box - probably best to eat fresh from fryer versus delivery but could tell the fish and squid was fresh and nicely cooked.
D. B.
This is just behind my work so it’s nice and easy to pop over for some quick chips. While I never stray away far from just good old fish and chips, my friends have tried a few other things on the menu, and it’s always met with enthusiasm. Be sure to have a good chat with the owner, lovely bloke.
Being in a lane way gives it a nice secluded little setting. There are brollys if it starts raining, don’t worry. And if you don’t want to sit in, just grab a takeaway. And get the garlic sauce.
B. P.
Best fish n chips in the city for sure, had the fried smoked cod, definitely thought of eating fish n chips in England. The hand cut chips are also a great personal touch (curry sauce goes great with it)
I. F.
Ordered the Fisherman's Box for lunch. One of the (if not the) best fish & chips I ever had. Everything on my platter was perfect. Great vibes and friendly staff too!
M. D.
I cannot rate this place high enough.
Such great food. The service was unmatchable. The owner knew everything about the products and was also the kindest guy. Entertained my 7 year old nephew and was just amazing.
The food was super delicious and the price was an absolute bargain! Seriously spent $15 on my lunch and it was better than places I've spent $50 at.
If you've never been here, add it to your list. 10/10.
J. W.
We found out about this place when we went on a Perth Lanes & Street Art walking tour of Perth. We saw it as we passed and went in last weekend (15/03/19) to give it a go. The pan-fried barramundi I had was lovely and the hand-made chips were excellent. Brilliant old school British fish and chip shop. Great fish is always the corner stone of a good fish and chip shop and this place has it in spades. Set in a secluded lane way and offering great sauces and sides. Next to the lane is a bottle shop for BYO.
R. C.
The fish and chips here are served unsalted. The batter is light and lightly seasoned and you're encouraged to eat it with their brown vinegar.
Really nice chip shop that emphasizes on the seafood , owner is hospitality personified and the location is at a very charming alley way sandwhiched between the shopping street and the bus station. Not many chip shops is so good and pull it off in the heart of the city, Australia or else where.
K. L.
A person took me here for the first time ever! It was epic! I loved the food as a treat and the drink was delicious °¬° I have not met people inside but I will when I am able to in the future.
e. j.
The chips are all hand cut, with skins, twice cooked, and were crisp on the outer, and nicely soft and floury inside - excellent. And a range of toppings are available including mayo, tartare, satay as well as McDonnell's curry - in the English style - and joppie, a Dutch favourite. I ordered a Sriracha chilli, garlic and mayo mix - which went down well, although I would have preferred a touch more of the chilli - next time!
G. G.
From a Scotsman, honestly the best chippy i have been to outside of uk and even then one of the best i have ever had. hand cut chips, cod and haggis all amazing.
H. M.
Tucked in a little alleyway, this place is certainly a gem. Serves awesome fish and chips. Might be a bit hard to find but just google map it. I ordered the Atlantic cod. Yummy. Would certainly go back again. Seating is outside, first come first serve basis. They even piped in a bit of tunes to keep the alleyway entertained.
N. T.
Wish we had eaten it at shop instead of taking away as it had lost crunch on transit. Also no salt was added after cooking chips or fish so not realizing we ended up with non salted fish and chips. The tartar sauce was lovely and the staff had fabulous knowledge on fish. Was a bit awkward to find parking but if you get a chance it's worth a try.
m. o.
Was craving fish and chips, but in the middle of the CBD and thought I would never be satisfied, a quick google search and approval from friends and I have been blown away, the quality of the food, the service and just the atmosphere in the kitchen is fantastic, hands down the best fish, calamari and onion rings I've ever had anywhere in Australia, and on a final note I usually dislike prawns, but I loved these! Definitely a regular eating choice for me now. Thankyou for your hospitality.
J. R.
Good fish and chips. The staff doubted I could finish all we ordered. They were wrong. Not only did I finish it, I ordered two 13-inch pizzas from Little C's right after. Unfortunately my delivery guy was role-playing as a high-schooler. He carried them one-handed, sideways, thus what I received looked more like a budget calzone.
Anyway back to Grand Lane: they have a good menu with lots of options. We ordered ~5 dishes and they were all tasty. Fair price, decent portion sizes. The staff will doubt your resolve upon entry and try to warn you off doing it; but I recommend ordering the entire menu, then maintaining eye-contact as you chew your way through each and every item. The shop is located slightly above ground-level, so you can safely roll out onto the Murray st mall and make your way downstairs to the train station. Tell them I sent you and ask for a big-boy piggyback (gender inclusive) and my mate Roy will carry you onto the train so you can get home OK. Once you're safely seated, or lying in bed if that's your thing, you can consider the power level you'll br capable of sustaining tomorrow, once your body has successfully incorporated the literal litres of calories you just consumed.
5/6 would recommend.
A. B.
Absolutely beautiful fresh crispy and tasty quality food. My partner and I were on holidays in Perth and tried this gorgeous place. Totally loved loved the food. Lovely friendly staff. Definitely need to try this one.
A. R.
Theses chips are unbeatable. You won’t find better ones. The fish was superb as well. My only criticism would be the price but I understand that he’s probably paying phenomenal rent in the CBD so I have taken that into account and awarded 5 Stars anyway.
f. c.
Food great Service friendly Location strategic Atmosphere chill Magical touch. Not many can get the package right but here definitely nail it. I would really like to recommend them to tourism Perth but I selfishly want to keep it as my fav fishchip spot. Truly recommended
B. S.
Haggis isn't quite like Scotland, but batter on the calamari was delicately crispy, skin on chips are crunchy and the prawns were juicy. Plus they were playing Space Jam on TV during lunch.
A. A.
Small quantity of fish is a nice light batter. Chips are good. Great tartar sauce. Panko crusted squid rings and prawns were good. Location is a bit grungy. Shop is cool. Great service.
S. W.
An unexpected warm welcome to the counter, with informative details on the fish and spud varieties sourced (to the point and not prolonged)
Prepared in minimal time, had Fish taco's + Chips, worth the trip across town, will be back.
C. S.
Seafood was absolutely delicious as was the mushy pea! Chips on the other hand were bit soggy, might due to the fact that it was very busy on the night we visited. Still an enjoyable meal at a reasonable price; The unique setting adds a touch of charm and would highly recommend this place.
J. T.
Grand lane fish house served one of Perth's best fish and chips at a stellar price. Strongly recommend their calamari which is extraordinarily tender!
P. T.
I had my first meal in Perth at Grand Lane, and I must say it was a very good meal! I ordered the pan-fried barramundi on the staff’s recommendation - he said most Australians would prefer the barramundi battered but he would personally recommend the pan-fried barramundi, and I wasn’t disappointed! I love the prawns too - they’re a must-try. The shop isn’t located along the main street but in an alley instead, and (apart from the food) that’s what makes the place unique and memorable. I will definitely recommend this place to others!
Z. L.
One of the best fish and chippery out there.
e. c.
This was just what the doctor ordered. Proper chipper food just like from home (I’m irish). It was delivered in paper and soooooo yummy. I had the pork sausage and chips with curry sauce and cheese. Would highly reccomend!
N. B.
Went here with friends and the kids. Tried the smoked cod with proper chips with cheese and curry. Would recommend. Only a small place but just right for what we wanted.
A. K.
Pretty Authentic British style Fish & Chips (and mushy peas!) In the center of Perth CBD. I have the codd practically every week. It's frozen, so not perfect, and the chips are double cooked (unlike GBC's massive friers in Carrubine) but good service and always tasty.
G. T.
Visited this place both times I've been to perth and it hasn't disappointed me yet. Great food great service!
J. L.
The owner is really nice. Provided great recommendations on the sauce, the fish and even tours and things to do in Perth.
The Atlantic Cod is really good and it goes well with Tartare or Joppie Sauce.
Servings sizes are very generous too!
S. J.
Has to be the best old fashioned British Fish and Chips in Perth.... mushy peas and curry sauce and even McMcloughlins Irish sausage ... I haven't tasted fish and chips like this in the 40 years I have lived in here.. Absolutely delicious... Well Done....I will be back!
S. G.
Best fish and chips I have ever had!! very crispy and fresh. House made tartar is cherry on top. Beautiful place to be!!
a. m.
This is a very cute restaurant, hidden away in the heart of the city. The owner is passionate about fish. All the food I've tasted is delicious, perfectly cooked delicious sauces served including mcdonnells curry sause yum.
B. L. B.
Small little shop facing back lane but can go thru from Main Street. Fish is fresh n excellent but the hand cut chips tops it all. Highly recommended been there for lunch two consecutive days. Will miss it being a visitor to Perth
M. B.
Great Fish and chips, English style in the Grand Lane in Perth.. Pretty grungy surrounds but it works really well. We love it.. Mushy peas, curry sauce, all really nice.
T. S. F.
Large portions given. Had the fisherman's box, which is fish, calamari, and prawns with chips and a dip. Very filling! Staff were friendly and they give you a buzzer when your food is ready, which came rather quickly. Location is behind Barrack and Wellington streets
A. C.
I walk past this restaurant quite often and it always smells nice. Today I decided I wanted to try some fish tacos for the first time. The staff are so lovely and friendly and the food is delicious!
T. T.
Food was very good and well portioned, i don't normally like kalamari or shrimp but it was very good here! You can definitely tell the ingredients used are high quality and the staff were very friendly, would recommend!
D. E.
Impeccable. Twice I have visited in as many weeks and I look forward to returning again and again. The only downside I can think of will be the inevitably longer wait as more and more people discover this hidden gem - but at any length it's more than worth it. Tucked away in Grand Lane, Paul serves up the most delicious seafood and incredibly moreish hand cut chips, with a level of hospitality that is hard to find. The CBD has long been wanting a quality casual fish and chips shop and it has finally arrived in Grand Lane. I'll see you again soon!
V. P.
Located in a nice quiet side lane in the heart of Perth. The owner seems to love his job and knew everything about his fish. What a great experience! Oh and it’s also cheap and you get heaps of it
S. S. D.
#GrandLaneFishHouse in Perth,WA was delightful place to have fish and chips 🍟 Dinner Box is highly recommended!!! Thank you Allen for serving all 30 people at a short time!!
Surely visit next time 😘🤤
K.
Portions are pretty average, but food is good.
R. P.
Used the restaurant while self isolating. The food arrived hot and was still crispy. The mushy pease were excellent. Will order from them again.
K. H.
Delicious clean non greasy fish & chips - best we have had in a long time. Make sure you try the Joppie sauce - yum! Highly recommend this place.
A. E.
So many options. Delicious everytime. Lovely staff also that gives the whole shop a nice and friendly vibe. Thank you for also serving vegetarian gravy!
D. S.
Great place located in a small side "road" but very nice, great food.
S. C.
Beautiful and fresh. Got the Fisherman’s Basket, Grilled Fish Tacos and onion rings and it was more than enough food for two people. All packed and delivered freshly via Uber Eats.
K. M.
Just had lunch there a true fine fryer of fish. He knew when the fish was caught and who by. Friendly and helpful we will be back, go Bournemouth fish and chip men!
M. Z.
A grade customer service. Delivery driver ditched my meal. They contacted me telling me this and provided a fresh meal to be newly made
Tastes fantastic too and amazing value.
J. M.
Got the fisherman's box, chips were real chips and very morish, seafood was cooked perfectly, also had a battered sausage, which was awesome, loved it all and would eat again and recommend for anyone else to give them a try.
Edit.... Try the Joppie sauce, it rocks!
R. C.
Really good fish and chips. Friendly helpful service, basic eating area, but really good fish and chips, I think you get the idea!
L. Z.
A little gem in mid of the Perth CBD. Fish was well cooked. Hand cut chips and calamari were delicious. Plus great service. Will certainly go back again.
M. C.
I sat outside in the back lane and was harassed by birds coming to take food and having to chase them away. The next shop along was wheeling their rubbish bins past while we were trying to eat. The table and bench were a bit rickety and the can of coke fell on the floor. Food was fine but would eat inside.
E. L.
A "Pom" cooking fish and chips for Aussies! Yes and they are great, as well as the other options. Plus they have gluten free batter! Wow!!!
B. P.
What a cracker of a fish 'n' chip shop! The owner impressed us with his enthusiasm right from the beginning, as he explained the fish he had to offer, the region which they were caught, the depth at which they lived, as well as the method of preparation unique to his homeland in the UK. The shop is also located in a cosy lane hidden in the heart of the city.
D. M.
Had lunch there today; Atlantic cod and chips with a side of tartare. Excellent feed. So glad I went; now my go-to place for fish and chips in Perth.
H. M.
BEST FISH N CHIPS IN TOWN!!
definitely going here again. The food, the place, the owner, the deco and everything was awesome. I’ve took videos there so I’m uploading it too. Take a look!
V. O.
Delish fish, calamary and handcut chips! Reasonably priced. Great sitting area at the back lane on balmy night. Friendly owner too...
D. O.
Fantastic fish and chips! Best in Perth for sure. Great range of fish to choose from. First class service. Very friendly staff
G. P.
Great service fish and other seafood wasn't over cooked ,fresh and choice of in house sauces. A proper chippee.
E. r.
Really awesome food, good size portions and very close taste of home, authentic geeza at the front of shop just to add to the UK vibe. All round good value and will be back again.
D. A. (.
Amazing fish'n'chips. Great selection of seafood. The pako battering on the calamari is just phenomenal. Quick service. Fresh food. Super friendly staff.
R. L.
Perfect taste and excellent service. Have been to here for 5 times. I once spilled my chips to the ground floor by mistake, they just cleaned it up, and kindly gave me an extra bowl of fries.
S. M.
Delicious, fresh fish and chips! Not oily and perfectly cooked. Tasty mushy peas too!!
T. f. M.
Perfect fish and chips! Must do when in PERTH
S. S.
Was delighted to see the chippy open today. Called in for lunch, fish and chips with a cup of Yorkshire tea. Real fish and chips in the centre of Perth.
T. D.
Best fish and chips in Perth. Service was excellent! Highly recommend!
G. V.
I went with my husband and baby to this amazing restaurant. Service is awesome and the food is delicious. Will be going back, I recommend trying it!
B. J.
You don't get a 4.8 rating if you don't know what you are doing. The hidden location down a back alley just adds to the charm of this non-pretentious fish and chippery with the highlights of great service and delicious food of course. The only suggestion? Perhaps find a way to offer reusable utensils etc.
S. K.
Extremely friendly owner. Love the FNC! Very unique UK style burger without the bun, was well explained by the owner during ordering.
D. R.
Great food freshly cooked by the knowledgeable and passionate chef. Try the fish imported from the Atlantic. A rare find in Perth.
C. S.
Easter Sunday, a dating Perth and the best fish and chips. Highly recommend 😊
E. D.
The best fish and chips I've had ever since moving to Australia! Can't recommend this place enough
B. M.
Great food, fish perfectly cooked. Homemade fries and sauces, and sweet staff. Food was so good i forgot to take a picture
D. R.
Very nice fish and chips. Had the cod with mushy peas and curry sauce. Owner is very friendly and knows his fish and chips.
K. W. (.
Amazing fish and chips here! They make homemade chips and fish is cooked to order. Great place to either have lunch/ or takeaway
B. M.
Crawled down the side of a dodgy looking alley way to my delight and found this hole in the wall eatery. Clean and inviting interior with outdoor seating. The outdoor area was devoid of the expected hipster crowd to my delight, eating outside was a pleasure the alleyway brims with a particular ambiance. Would go again.
C. B.
Top notch fish and chip place in the city. About as perfect as you can make fish and chips. Make sure to get the full run down from the owner as that's an experience in itself.
K.
Really tasty fish and chips! Also recommend the battered sausage. Just a bit pricey. Lovely staff too!!
O. D.
From Mick Fox;
Best fish and chips I have ever had. DANDARAGAN grown Maris Piper potatoes make all the difference. Fish wasn't bad either.

D. C.
Just visited and had the Hake and Threadfin. Absolutely fresh and delicious. Chips are cut by the owner and freshly fried. Try it with the joppie sauce. You won't go wrong.
D. C.
Crispy, flaky fish and chips. Very friendly owner and I could tell his passion for fish. Will be coming back!
L. H.
Did an order of 20+ on UberEats - spoke to Paul on the phone and he was so lovely and accommodating, great customer service! The food was also the best fish and chips in the CBD
H. G.
Best fresh fish & chip ever tasted. Cosy & friendly atmosphere. Very good value for money.
E. W.
I was here with some of my classmates and We had the best time with the food and the atmosphere of this place, thnks Sir for your delicious Fish and Chips in the heart of the city Perth, Western Australia.

One of the best fish and chips I had so far
J. F.
Loved it, walked past a few times for toasties, had hand cut chips and fish tacos, very tasty chips, not greasy at all, and tacos where bang on for size taste and flavour, Go try it!!!
T. W.
A bit out of the way down a back alley. Sounds sketchy, but is totally worth the journey and perfectly safe. Hands down, the fish and chips is among my top 5 best I have had around the world.
P. M.
