Had a fantastic long lunch here with friends. Five star Margaritas and they nailed the basics like Pico and Guac, as well as the other dishes, most of which were well suited to sharing (our preferred method of dining). Lovely service, kept the drinks flowing 👍👍 being right in the middle of Northbridge with floor to ceiling windows this was also a top notch venue for people watching. Oh and don't sleep on the desserts 👌

Went in on Tuesday night. The service was exceptionally, the staff that served us provided outstanding service. The cocktails are really good, just perfection. Service is the reason for the 3 stars otherwise I would have left 1 star, the food was inedible. The food is really bad, we left most of it on the table and considering the high prices it's more than disappointing. I would give the place another chance in the late future when they sort the food flavours out and this is only because the staff were so lovely.

Had a very late lunch after a day of post-boxing day shopping in the city , and absolutely loved the food and the service. The waiters were friendly, knowledgeable of the food and beverages they serve, they were engaging and attentive. The food is fresh, delicious and the portions are perfect for one and reasonably priced enough to buy multiple items to share. Presentation of food was great, and although smaller portions than usual - the food is packed with flavour, you can taste every single seasoning used. Kudos to the chefs! Will definitely visit again !

Went in for dinner and some drinks. Really busy when we arrived and then quietened down a little. Special chicken tacos were delicious. Slight mix up in our order was dealt with really quickly and professionally by the team. Service was excellent and the food and drinks very tasty.

Ok so lots of people come here It was packed from the start. So drinks to order they got like over 100 + tequila drinks here🤔 food was really good but took awhile to come out guess they were preparing it cause we came in a bus load. The mexicana drink is $20 just to let you know. The lighting is dark but I guess that's sets the mood. The girls compliant to me that there was no toilet paper in the girls loo lol not my problem. For this place I give a good four stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Been here multiple times now. Have tried the duck taquitos, scallop tostada, 3 cheese jalapeño quesadilla, fish and crumbed prawn tacos - all tasty and even better with the hot sauces they have and came out quickly. The verde margarita was also amazing. Probably don’t come here if you can’t handle spice though!!

Delicious !! We got the chips and guacamole, they are amazing! The Mexican corn was so yummy. And the 3 cheese quesadilla was really good too. They have their own twist to Mexican food, so their chips are not just hard corn tortilla chips, they’re puffed up and crisp and flaky. The street corn has a nice flavour ... the music is a bit loud but overall such a good spot.

Very nice decor, staff were very helpful and friendly. The service was prompt. We enjoyed the ceviche. The tacos and the quesadilla didn't really tick the box for us. We ordered quite a few to try but nothing really stood out for us. Perhaps our palettes are too accustomed to the cheap Mexican take away.

Lively place and music. Food equally thumbs up. My wife and I decided to dine here while strolling the street. We didn't regret. Oh Wow! This place is amazingly good. We arrived with our 2 kids without a booking at 530pm on a Sunday and were warmly welcomed inside. Quick service, food delivery to table and delicious everything! We’re in the big smoke for just 3 nights and our kids have already told us we have to come back on our last night. Make sure to have a margarita- makes the rest of the evening sublime☺️. Etas muy muy Rico!

This was my second visit and I have to say the best part is the exceptional service. Some of the best I've seen in Perth. We visited on a Sunday for lunch and the staff were attentive, accommodating and non-intrusive. The food was super delicious, the cocktails were inventive and great music, too. A perfect vibe for a chill afternoon. Thank you so much, great job to our waitress and the woman making drinks at the bar.

Food is yummy. We ordered different flavors of taco which were surprisingly good. Nice atmosphere and friendly staffs. However the portion would be a bit less for the price. I think it’d be better for people who are actually not really hungry. A good choice for Friday night!

I came in on a week night and there were only 5 tables occupied. Trendy inside, a bit dark, and too loud music. Since it was only me dining in, I quickly ordered my two tacos: the slow cooked pork and Baja fish (recommended by my waiter). My tacos came out in less than 10 min with a tray of 4 extra seasonings like green salsa, Mayo, red sauce, and something else. Wow, each of the tacos were filled with flavor!! The breading on the fish had a piping hot crunch. 2 tacos for $11! I was in and out within 25 min! I wished I lived in Perth to be able to try the rest of their menu but I don't think they'd disappoint. Great service. Would recommend!!

Great food and fantastic service. Even on a Friday night the service is prompt and friendly. If you're after a sit-down meal then I wouldn't recommend. Limited seating for large groups and is very loud. Definitely a great bar experience with a large selection of Tequila and other liquor.

We had dinner here last night, staff are very friendly and we had a good time. Food wise it wasn't bad at all, it is not 100% Mexican food though, I think it's more like a fusion, which is not bad but just not what we expected. We didn't do our research on this restaurant before going, so that's on us (it was very close to our accommodation so we just walked there). Overall it was a very good experience.

Used to love this venue. Great food and a really chill vibe. However after having been a patron for a couple years, on our last visit the quality of food has really dropped. Even simple things like toasting your tortillas, cleaning your glasses, nothing major. Selfish, but I miss the great complimentary corn chips and guac they used to serve as well. The staff are friendly and helpful, genuinely curious if we enjoyed our time. I'd recommend La Cholita for a drink, but perhaps not a feed.

A trendy Mexican bar and restaurant serving tasty food and drinks. They have a good range of margaritas and a typical Mexican dishes ad snacks. It's often buzzing with customers - it has nice decor and a good ambience. Note that the side bar area seating can be a bit uncomfortable, but all other seating is fine.

We were surprised by the relatively small menu, but don’t let that put you off, it was amazing!!! The pulled pork taco was the best I’ve had and we had to order another round of them afterwards they were that good!!! La Cholita is a little pricey if you want a proper meal (if you're like me, you'll need to order a fair few tacos to get your fill) but the food and drink is delicious and the staff are helpful and attentive. If you like Mexican food (or tequila) I'd strongly recommend a visit.

Overwhelming array of tequilas, a variety of margueritas, & some lovely cocktails.. Tortilla chips seemed homemade, all the dips were very nicely made & the free sauces went well. Unfortunately, too full after having a few tacos, so didn't get to try the interesting sounding mains, will go back without hesitation to try larger dishes another day. Nice atmosphere, perhaps a little dark, but no big deal overall. Everyone there seemed very relaxed, just drinking at the bar and snacking, or being very helpful serving at tables. Nice place, clearly doing what they do extremely well.

Loved this place and definitely want to come back. Sat at the bar on a Saturday night with a Mexican lager and shared tacos and a quesadilla. Everything was delicious and I'm keen to try more. I'm not sure if the tortillas are house made or not, but the fillings were amazing, very reasonably priced for a upscale Mexican style restaurant in Perth, and had a good selection on the menu. The venue, staff, location and decor were all spot on. Always a massive bonus in my books when there's the ability to sit at a bar in a restaurant and drink and eat.

Amazing food and even more amazing service. The quality of the ingredients and the quality of the wait staff was impeccable. The wait staff didn't even write down our requests and everything came out quickly and accurately, I have no idea how they even did it. We ordered several rounds of food, too. The quesadillas are fantastic, as was the beef main and the pork shank. The tacos didn't really seem worth the $ but everything else blew us away.

Coworker was very good with a difficult guest, this is the main reason for the high rating. Four of us came here for lunch and cant wait to get back there! We tried the prawn, fish, beef cheek and pork belly tacos, all were great. The Kingfish ceviche was one of best I have tasted and the tostada and quesadillas were fabulous. Throw in some papas fritas and some guacamole and you are looking at about $20 a head for a lot of food! Too early in the day for cocktails for us but the range looks really good. Service very friendly and love the decor!

The drink menu here is great. Even the wines are quaffable. The beers are cold and crisp and the cocktails are well-balanced and delicious. The food is nice, but far too expensive considering how small the portions are. I would go back for drinks only.

Prices are a bit on the expensive side for what you get but if your 6 pints in you won't care til the next mornings check of the bank account where the cold sweats set in of how you will make it through the week after an epic night of Mexican larger and awesome cheesy Mexican bowel shakers. The staff are great and fast servers, you won't be waiting long for anything. Would recommend a visit, I will be back.

Work your way through the sampling boards of tequila with some of your favorite tapas snacks to soak up the alcohol. The best Mexican in Northbridge. La Cholita is open late every night with a great atmosphere, fun staff, extensive tequila selection and tasty food. Go for a booth seat on the William St side and enjoy a sangria while you wait for food. The tacos are decent but small with plenty of flavours including one vegetarian option. Mains are pricey but delicious and can take some time. Desserts are my favourite in Perth so leave some room to share one, they are rich. Ask for the taco special... $1 with any beer ordered. Try Pacifico beer straight from Mexico and refreshing when chilled.

Great food and service. Needs some noise reduction though. Can't reply. I wish I could hear the music. Poor acoustics because of solid straight walls and floors causes people to talk louder which in turn makes the background noise louder and people have to shout. No hearing music anymore at that point. Other venues and some really good examples is Wolf Lane, Tiger Lils and The Laneway lounge have broken up the walls and ceilings. Wolf Lane is a great example as a few years ago it was just white noise once a certain level of occupancy was attained. But thanks for replying and assuming it was the music. Having worked in the industry and heard the derision of youth to old people complaining about it being too hot or cold or noisy, I am only a little insulted that you made that assumption even though I said nothing about the music. ;) My review should've said "Great Food and service. Needs some background noise reduction as I couldn't really hear the music other than the beat."

While visiting Perth from Sydney, this place gets packed even on weekdays. It has a similar vibe to el loco. Only it has fantastic service. They are attentive and serve food real quick. It's alittle above average in pricing but the flavours are there and the service is where you're putting your money at. The place is lovely with live music on weekends and even on pack day, they are attentive as hell in serving you. Food is much better then el loco.

With La Cholita it's not a case of if we want to go, but rather how often can we go. While it can be quite a wait to get a table (they don't accept bookings for smaller groups) at least you can wait while enjoying a cocktail or 2 (tequila based of course) and some nibbles. The menu is very much tapas based - everything we've tried has been spot on. The place can be a little (or quite a bit) noisy so not the place to be if you want to hear everyone around the table.
