Very nice atmosphere and good food for that bar/restaurant that is right next to the botanic gardens. The hand-cut chips were very tasty but the bowl was way too big for one person; would be good to have 2 different sizes to avoid the waste. The baby squids were delicious 😋

Monday 18:30 dinner reservation for 8 people. It was busy... really busy. The staff were friendly however I think the kitchen were under the pump. Took a while to get our meals but they all came at the same time. We had pizzas, nachos, burger and fish and chips. All of the food was great.

Whether it's for breakfast, lunch, a function or dinner, Leap Frogs is the perfect venue. This visit in particular was for our anniversary and it was truly the most perfect evening. The food is delicious, good drink selection, but leave room for dessert. The sticky date rocks! Great service. After dinner, we went to see the Christmas lights throughout the botanical gardens, listening to Christmas songs playing throught the gardens. Just magical. Relaxing, enjoyable, memorable. Never fails to disappoint! Had a wonderful breakfast here with friends. Ambience is great, the staff are wonderful and the food is delicious. Good menu choice and reasonably priced too. You can always take in a round of mini golf afterwards in the beautiful Botanical gardens.

Was nice for an afternoon out, we had lunch before mini golf. Lovely atmosphere and friendly service. Only thing we noted was the menus we were given weren't clear - Asian chicken salad, but then it said 5$ to add chicken (few other dishes similar) - had to clarify with our waitress that this was for additional chicken. Which it was. Drinks came out fast, food was nice, but a tiny bit slow - which was understandable given it was the last day of school holidays and also during covid times! Would go again!

visited leapfrogs on friday, 22/04/2022. I went in the afternoon and started with the gorgeous mini golf course, you walk through the course as if you are in the jungle. Where there are lights, fountains, benches and little huts (amazing for taking photos). it's an amazing destination, with gorgeous grounds. We went to the restaurant part of the business and they had amazing customer service, the most friendly staff and higher quality food for a decent price. I was only left waiting for my food for a short period and when it came the portions were generous and the food was lovely. Wouldn't have a negative comment about it.d

Beautiful shady garden, lovely waterfalls everywhere and mini golf plus a great Cafe for meals or a snack. You can play or even just have a walk around, it's so shady, green and cool. Kids love the fish pond as it cascades down the sloping block creating waterfalls and pools to sit by and relax. There are function spaces available and would probably be a quite a scenic place for a wedding ceremony with lots of photo opportunity places.

Celebrated my birthday on Friday night with family and friends, it was such a wonderful night, beautiful setting, amazing food and the service from our waiter Bijay was second to none. The food was pretty good but the staff couldn’t wait to get us (and them) out of there - they took our dessert orders before all our mains had arrived - as the kitchen was closing - before 8pm. Don’t take a 7pm booking if you’re going to rush clients out like that. Enjoyed the mains but we all felt the desserts were just too sweet.

We were a large table of 20, Food was great, very tasty and came out quickly. Our waitress was Rachel, what a star! I really felt like a bloody Mary but she told me that there was no tomato juice. She recognized that I was wanting a spicy drink and said she would find me something. She came back with a Jalepeno Margarita. It was perfect! Rachel is a credit to your business. The service was great all night.

Wish I discovered this place earlier. Really loved the smashed avo and waffles, which were made magical with the way it was prepared and presented. Can tell that the staff enjoy working here and the service was fast and pleasant.

Sorry, I meant to place my previous bad review for another restaurant. We ended up going to Leapfrogs after a bad experience in another cafe and we enjoyed our breakfast and service at Leapfrogs. Food was good and the atmosphere enjoyable.

Juice was very refreshing especially hot day, also vegan curry was absolutely amazing combo with sour cream. Moreover the Pizza was just amazing ! Also the vegan curry is the best of best food in this shop. Great place for lunch or dinner.

New drive in menu for social distancing !!! Amazing food and wonderful service! The burger was delicious and definitely a two handed experience. Local cider which is my new favourite cider and they even have a giant screen set up to watch funny videos in your car while you wait for your meal!!! Check out their fb page for their info on times as it hasn’t been updated on here, you can order over the phone or when you arrive and wait. I suggest waiting just because it was fun watching the vids next time we will definitely chuck the kids in the car to go for the drive just for something different for them :) they also had a breakfast menu for 8am-12pm but I didn’t manage to get a pic of that :D

Always enjoy my visits here: we just do the beer and food although we did have a look round the gardens one Christmas and the lights were lovely. Menu is concise and they do a few things well, rather that many places who do many things averagely. They used to have guest beers but that stopped and I miss it as I like different pale ales. Try it, you’ll like it 😊

This was such a great surprise as my son had picked up his new car & wanting to take it for a long drive, picked me up & we headed North along Wanneroo Road. He knew where we were going but what a surprise for me. It was possibly 3pm when we arrived & we were delighted to be greeted with the afternoon Menu. As it was late we shared a Seafood Linguine which was exceptional & my son had a Chardonnay & I had a delightful Pinot Noir. Full marks for the toasted Turkish bread brought immediately with our Wines. Good service & an excellent meal.

We booked online for minigolf which was great fun. While there what we thought was an informal cafe turned out to be a restaurant and were informed we should have booked. Maybe the mini golf and restaurant are independent businesses but if not that messaging would been useful prior when booking minigolf as that was why we were there in the first place. (Noted on the website or on written material). We felt a bit awkward being greeted with that focus however appreciated that a table could be found within 5 minutes for the three of us. Heads up.. you should make a booking prior to going. The burgers and pastas were tasty but would not recommend pizza. Although the base was fine the meat topping was light on toppings and lacking flavour. The wait staff were fantastic and very friendly..good on them.

A relaxed, friendly environment for lunch or dinner. The service was exceptional. The menu, on first looks, did not appeal. I ended up choosing the Raw Beetroot Salad with added Salmon, as I have certain dietary requirements. I am still salivating after this meal. It was sensational. Others in my group also had doubts about the menu, yet all raved about their selections. It was a great night, with great food and service, reasonably priced and all in a comfortable and relaxed setting.

My daughter Kayla had her wedding and reception here in January (while the Xmas lights were still up), and it was perfect Karin and her staff were amazing, helpful, friendly from start to finish Food was awesome, and the staff were there with a new drink as soon as you were empty. We started out simple with pizzas and garlic bread etc (delicious) and then everyone just ordered whatever else they wanted through the night – it was all done prompt and perfect Beautiful backdrop down on the deck overlooking the lake, and unbelievable gardens (jungle) The reception was held inside along the windows (wasn’t a big wedding) so was cozy, intimate, and just generally a really nice, fun night… Thanks again to all who helped – we don’t know all your names, but you couldn’t have done better!! Needs more accessible seating options for different sized/shaped bodies. The chips were great but, only available after 12 noon. Staff seem nice enough. Ice coffee wasn't on the menu (as far as I could see anyway) but when I asked, they were happy to make one for me. One of my friends did the same for an iced chai latte so, worth asking if there's something you're looking for but don't see in the menu. Bit of a confused identity but, a very well equipped kitchen/menu for a minigolf café!

Was surprised to find a little Oasis just off the Wanneroo Rd and Burns Beach! Leapfrogs, a beautifully built and kept garden where you can tuck into a wood fired pizza, take a romantic stroll through the beautiful gardens, play a round of mini golf or listen to some music. A great place to hire for functions. Building began in 1974 by Theo Puik and his wife Hanneke and two daughters, when two hectares of sandy scrubland was slowly transformed into a magical mini golf garden playground with twists and turns and hidden pools a plenty. The meals across the board are sub-standard for the price, the fresh-cut chips are always soggy and the extras are not noticeable. Tap beer is limited to 5 and there is one cider. It really is a shame and a waste because it is set in what I truly believe to be home to the most beautiful setting in the greater metro area.

I've been a resident of the area for several years and have been here 20+ times, Leapfrogs always deliver wholesome and affordable product. Yes ok it's not the prettiest place in the restaurant scene, What you need to consider is the uniqueness and not the same old crap most restaurants in Perth replicate. That is part of the charm! If you read the summary, it’s a “cafe offering simple meals”, and personally I think they deliver on this statement. As for the service, it’s hit and miss but generally they do a great job 90% of the time. They rarely use backpackers who have given Perth restaurants a bad name for years, although kept them alive. If you have a problem with any part of the meal, ask to speak with Mark, he is approachable and will look after you. No-one should ever pay for a product that is substandard, missing items noted on the menu or are disappointed with the overall quality. Don’t be afraid.

Went last night table of 8 people i ordered the burger add bacon nearly $30 it was ok but can find alot better for that price at hundreds of other places.At least use a proper bun not just a plain white bun your charging a premium price use a potaoe bun or at least brioche.Another ordered the chilli mussles she said they were fine nothing special bit bland .Ordered the curry which was good but their observation was never seen cauiliflower rice so dark in colour almost burnt taste.Kids meals were basic no frill basic meals and might i add more expensive than kids meals anywhere else we have been ($11).Then the 2 sirloin steaks meals both only ate a few bites as said full of grissle and couldnt chew it.Both said was the worst pepper sauce they had ever tasted.Asked for wilted greens and were given green beans ? That aint wilted greens.If your charging $40+ for a steak at least use that cut .I eat steak reguarly and no way that was sirloin steak for starters they are not that big and will have a fat line with gristle at top but not all they way thru the steak was more like a oyster blade.I said to send them back but they are just too nice people to complain if it was mine i would have been questioning it.There so called hand cut chips which is obvious they are were ok but $11 for chips most expensive same product ive ever seen.I see you say when people complain about being soggy which ours were not ill add you blaim the starch levels.Any good chef should know that starch levels doesnt matter much as chips can be soaked hours beforehand to remove starch levels.So over $300 you expect good food at least and we all left not impressed with our meals and wont be returning

Highly cruisy and delightful Sunday afternoon. At night, the cafe is in full play and the Botanic grounds a lit up with spot lights up the forest tree trunks, and they've put beautiful clotted fairy lights up some of the trees.
