One of the oldest Malaysian restaurants on the Albany Highway strip. Good teh tarik, decent roti channai and nasi goreng (fried rice). Service is quick and its usually pretty easy to walk in and get a table.

What a gem. Well priced, quick service Asian / Middle Eastern blend. 2nd visit and will certainly be back. The curry sauce with the Roti is excellent and the trio of spicy condiments added a food kick to the rice.

Very authentic Malaysian "mamak" style food. Keep in mind the portions may be small, but that's because this is the way these dishes are served in Malaysia. I had the Roti Kambing (lamb curry) which was really good!

Great food, very friendly staff..every Tuesday & Friday night got live band🎸whoever miss ‘keropok lekor’ can find it here! They have lunch buffet as well. Variety of buffet’s rice such as nasi lemak, biryani & plain rice.

Beautiful atmosphere and layout of the restaurant. Food was amazing we had the beef randang and lemon chicken. Very friendly staff and very happy they have toddler seating for the little ones. Even though the restaurant was busy, once we placed our order our food came out relatively quickly. The taste was as I remembered from my times in Malaysia. The atmosphere was good and the price was very reasonable.

Heard mixed reviews about the place but have always had a great experience here during 3 visits. It's not the BEST Malaysian out there but the menu is well explained with great variety, decent serving size and taste, with customer service also leaving us with a smile. Facility wise, could do with a bit of renovation or some tidying up behind the counter, but would definitely be back for more when back in Vic Park!

Their teh tarik is my absolute favourite in Perth! I've tried a few places, but no where quite does it like makan2! They get it right every time! I also love their mee hailam. I've tried a few other dishes on the menu, but honestly, my go to are always those two on the menu. Their roti & curry is quite nice too. Chill vibes, good food; can't go wrong really.

Omg the food was amazing. We had the lamb shank soup and the beef rendang. Both the soup and rendang was super tasty and delicious. We also tried the pandan cheese cake. That was so good. We happen to be looking for a place open late for a soup dish and found this place. We will definitely be back. I don’t think I want to try anything else as loved what we had so much. The waitress that served us was very friendly and sweet. We will be back. ❤️

The food I ordered to take away were very yummy. 1 thing I dislike though was, upon payment I was searching for "surcharge sign", It was nothing, I could see amex logo, card which I used to make the payment. I checked my cc stt few days after and yes there was 2.8% surcharge. I would be nice to know in advance.

Nice asian fiid served by them. Owned by a malaysian family. Food served was fantastic. Service was with a smile and the food served was prompt. Toilet is clean. Parking is a few minutes away. Prices are affordable. All of the people working there are very friendly and they made you feel like family!

Makan squared on a tuesday night was packed. The food at best was above average. Except the parathas were pretty good. The reason that i give this place 3 stars is the slowww service, it was at least 1 hour before we were able to order and be served. However the live music on tues and fridays are nice, and really adds atmosphere to the place. If they can fix the wait time, i will uprage this place from 3 stars to 5. I reckon they cud use a better system and more employees.
