Fire!!!! And lots of it. It really is the full show! The food is amazing too. So many of these Teppanyaki places are all about the show and give you below average food, not this place. My fiancé had the Aka menu with the upgrade to garlic rice (this is just a very garlic fried rice) well worth the upgrade. I had the Shiro menu. Amazing from start to finish.

It was a nice experience, the chef was performing and cook in front of you. I personally would go back only for special occasions. We picked the medium set for the price range and the food wasn't a lot. We were still hungry after that.

Really fun and interesting experience. Sit at a big table with others and watch the chef perform his craft while enjoying the fruits of their labor. Started off with a fun icebreaker by catching food out of the air with your mouth. After your meal you get to enjoy a more private dessert at a different table with just your party. Recommend upgrading to the garlic rice.

Came here on a weeknight and had a very exclusive dinner with the chef. I did find it very overpriced, but you do get a variety of dishes for the price. However the food could be better seasoned and cooked better, it just was not as good as expected. I have been to another tenpanyaki restaurant and it was magnificent, and Midori did not reach that expectations. The staff were friendly and it was worth the entertainment. Average food but great service.

It capitalises on the fact that there are very few teppanyaki eateries in Perth. We used to go to the old one on Milligan which was a magical, theatrical experience. Overall, food was decent but the experience, service etc was average considering the price.

Had an amazing dinner here on 17 June 2021, our 3 kids thoroughly enjoyed the experience and asked the chef questions to which Jon was happy to oblige them. He is a fantastic chef all food cooked to perfection. Our 2 year old loved all the flare and fire! Definitely a place to return to and indulge.

Place seemed like it needed a good clean, waited at the bar for way long to get served although it didnt seem busy. Ended up waiting to be seated and ordered drinks from there. Over priced for size proportions and no offer of individual ordering of dishes rather given set menus to order from which is such a shame.

The food was very good, but I think they need to train the waitresses on how to pour wine. The wine dripped down my glass onto my chop sticks and table so had to use napkin to wipe. There vents over the Teppanyaki needs sorting out. All the smoke billowed out do smelt of burnt oil.

Food was nice but often too much salt or sugar added to dishes unnecessarily. The heavy flavours reminded me of Chinese overly flavoured food, which is not so common for Japanese dishes. Neither chef's nor staff, are Japanese. Very expensive for overly flavoured food. However, that is not unusual in Perth. Staff are lovely, but no benefit practicing your Japanese with them. Other Japanese restaurants are superior. Teppanyaki layout, provides atmosphere.

Great entertainment, especially for the children. We have a 13 year old and 11. It was their first time and they want to return. Fantastic quality. My son tried a prawn head and loved it. That's how fresh it is. I would return just for the scallops. It's been a while since I have had fresh scallops cooked to perfection.

Good entertainment and service got the $88 set menu food was ok. Cocktails expensive. And at the end of the meal served vanilla ice cream not matcha green tea ice cream. Not explanation. Also they don't do split billing so for 10 people someone had to pay the bill on the card and everyone had to transfer and or pay cash. Very hard for big groups.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner here to celebrate our anniversary, and the fact that it was Friday night! Great experience, the theatre of Teppanyaki is always enjoyable to watch and experience and the food is delicious. The staff are very polite and gentle, so remember your manners, they would appreciate that.

My partner and I went here for her birthday, the food was really good (8.5/10) and the red wine was nice and smooth, the cook was talented and friendly. The only downside to this is the cost of drinks and food and the portion size being only about 70% of what I want. I left feeling hungry after about 20 minutes. Overall this was a very pleasant dining experience.

Absolutely amazing experience. Came for partner's birthday; our chef Ken cooked us delicious Geisha sets and put on a very entertaining show, with quite a few tricks and even some fire! Finished with some tasty Matcha ice cream, including a candle for the birthday girl. Can't wait to go back!

It's a great restaurant whether you're going with a group or on a nice date night. The food is freshly prepared for you right in front of you and served and you know what you're getting basically. There are many set options to choose from. The prices are however very high. I wouldn't recommend it just for a quick bite as it's a bit pricy. But the overall experience was great friendly staff friendly chef. The food tasted amazing. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. Will come back for another special night.

Good food but the servings are so small that I agree with those saying it is overpriced. My main issue was the seating they try to fit too many people on one table and you end up literally shoulder to shoulder. They also hurry you up to make room for the next sitting so they asked if we were done even before we had our last set. The chef was lovely.

Enjoyed a pretty special NYE meal here. It's not every day that you get food (omelette) thrown at you by your personal chef! 😂 We had the $88pp set. The delicious entrees included popcorn chicken, aburi salmon sushi and beef tataki. This was followed by a choice of freshly cooked-in-front-of-you teppanyaki scallops or prawns, salmon, vegetables, and teriyaki chicken... Rounded off by matcha ice cream. Pricey, but a unique experience! (Couldn't use our Entertainment Book voucher on NYE, which was disappointing... But understandable).

If you like teppanyaki there are only a few places to go. Midori has moved around over the last 10-15 years. It's location in Northbridge is good, however the building itself is not ideal for traditional Japanese eating and banquets. The food is good and the chefs are skillful. Expect prices to be pretty high, but that's what you pay for the experience.

The chef’s abilities were mesmerizing, it was like having front row seats to a great show. We’ll definitely be back to Midori Teppenyaki & would highly recommend. We received a warm welcome by someone who I can only assume was the manager or owner and was accommodated at the bar until our allocated time. The whole experience was brilliant from start to finish with amazing food, plenty of it and a wonderful display of cookery and showmanship from our chef. We enjoyed dessert and sake afterwards. When we left we were seen out by the same lovely gentleman (he also took photos for us!) Thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening and would highly recommend it for any special event!
