One of our go tos. Great value for money and great options too. I love my steak but would probably prefer this one with less sauce (unless it's mushroom or pepper but that wouldn't be Japanese would it).

It's reasonable to position this restaurant as a fine dining modern Japanese bistro. Premises are reasonable size with comfortable seating at the front portion of the restaurant as well as a quieter back area. The food are all beautifully plated, and is a fusion of Japanese and modern Australian. Innovative used of ingredients. The Caviar pasta exemplifies innovation as well as a taste of tradition with ikura popping in your mouth over a warm pasta. The wine list is very limited, and should either be ramped up or complemented with a byo with corkage offering. Overall, a comfortable place to eat at, and spend a nice evening in, but doesn't really stand out.

Don't be too put off by my only 3 stars. I'm a hard critique. I have nothing to complain about the meals. I'm going to say it's similar to Tapas the way the menu was kind of set with option. The atmosphere of the restaurant was a lot more quiet than some tapas places which will suit some. We were about to talk clearly between us without any problems talking normally. At $100 per person for the 6 courses, I just would have expected something exceptional though. Every dish was good but nothing wowed me though. There was nothing I went "I wish I could have more if that". It brought perfection in what was made but it was just slightly simple for my personal liking.

Fabulous Japanese food let down by the inconsistent service. I can’t fault the food, the sashimi is fabulous. The 3-5 course menu is a great idea with a variety of great choices. The restaurant was busy however it took some time to be served and the waiters seemed very unsure when delivering the dishes and there was no interaction. Slightly disappointing due to the price you pay. Certainly a great restaurant for quality Japanese food.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Nine Fine Food. Had the Osusume and everything on our plate was so good - we could not fault anything at all. The portions were quite generous and we were left with very happy, satisfied tummy after our 4-course meal. Our favourite was the duck ramen pasta we had for our entrees, and I loved their tuna salad (it was on their special menu). The staffs were very lovely and service was impeccable! We cannot wait to return.

Absolutely enjoyed dinner here with my partner, the interior is the warm oriental style with lovely lights. We had 4 courses and 3 courses meal. Every dish is so presentable with delicacy. It is just right portion of the meal to us but you'd better find other places if you are looking for bigger portion.

I tried the "Toku-Toku Course" at $39 per head for an Entre, 1 Main & 1 Dessert was an Excellent way to Enjoy what Fine Nine Foods is like. I was also fortunate enough to enjoy their daily special Tuna Sashimi as a special "Long-time no see" gift after being away from Perth for 23 years. Thank you so much, Muneki-san! It is sure good to see you and it's great to be back in Perth again!

Great location and authentic Japanese flavours. Was nice to meet the owner who introduced himself. For such delicate dishes it was surprising and disappointing that the staff were in such a rush to push us through the courses and get us out the door by the closing time. Presumably driven by staff costs. Would not happen in Japan.

My partner and I came for an anniversary dinner and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff were super friendly and the restaurant was lovely. The only downside was that there was a table near us that was extremely over the top and loud, so that was very irritating. But I can't fault the restaurant for that 😊 I definitely recommend nine fine foods!

Beautiful delicate Japanese food close to Perth. We purchased the 5 course degustation. It was generous and tasted delicious. From the sashimi to the lovely pork and corn broth. Right through to the final dessert we were taken on a lovely culinary journey. A place to come for special occasions.

Fantastic food! My wife celebrated our wedding anniversary with the 6 course Omasake Set menu. SUPERB. Ample food. Next time, we will try the 5 course, then 4 course...so we get to try everything! BYO is also a welcome option. Also helps when there is free parking on the road. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I love this restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxing, and suits both a quiet romantic meal, or a fun evening with friends. The service is excellent. The food never disappoints, each course is a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach, the presentation is beautiful. The portions are just enough to make a 4 or 5 course menu a perfect meal. Always a pleasure to visit.

What a great experience, we had the 7 course meal which was full of culinary surprises. We thoroughly enjoyed each meal and the waitresses were attentive and kind. We brought our own champane and so our sole focus was on the meal which was a wonderful change from the places where one worries about what one should order. Nice ambience and great service, they were so sweet and even gave us a celebration dessert for our anniversary ❤️ Dishes honestly were a bit hit and miss. Bf and I ordered the 4 course, half of the dishes were absolutely delicious (sashimi, lamb ribs, steak - all were terrific and perfectly executed) and the other half were a miss for us by either too salty, odd ingredient / flavor combinations or textural issues (for example, we don't recommend the agedeshi tofu because the skin is gooey, beef tataki could be sliced thinner or duck confit very salty). Wanted to give a higher rating but maybe next time. I can see there are many positive reviews on this restaurant so maybe it was just a once off day.

I went to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. Ok it's a bit pricy but you know why as soon as you get your meals. It was very fresh and delicious. You will love it. It's perfect to celebrate anniversary or any other good occasion. It's modern and elegant and service is excellent.

Really liked their flexible menu. You pay based on how many dishes you want and there doesn't seems to be any limitation re which dishes you choose either. The dishes are also delightful. Service was really slow. Expect spending 2-3h even though you're only ordering 3 dishes. They really need to expand the kitchen along with their seating capacity. All in all, nice place to go if you have plenty of time and in a good company.

Excellent modern Japanese food. Food comes in choice of 3-6 set menus. We had the 4 course (2 entrees, 1 main and dessert). The meal was delicious, and serving portions are small but adequate so you don't feel overly full after the 4 courses. Service was also very quick so we weren't waiting particularly long between courses. Restaurant is BYO so make sure you bring a bottle of wine with you if you want to drink.

Had dinner here with a friend. The place is breath-taking and the food are mouth-watering. I ordered a plate of sashimi and a confit duck. Never heard of Nine Fine Food before and I was so surprised ! The food is amazing, the staff is very friendly and efficient, and the service is quick. It's BYO as the restaurant doesn't have the license yet, but it means you are saving money. Definitely recommend Nine Fine Food, it's incredibly underrated !

Delicious food served over a decent amount of time. A real treat when you are looking for something a bit different, with quality ingredients, prepared and cooked really well, with care and attention to presentation and full of flavor. That’s what you’ll get if you try the Okamse menu, 7 Devine courses, that the chef picks such as Caviar pasta, Sashimi, Barramundi broth and melt in the mouth Lamb. It was an amazing experience and the staff were all really friendly. We will be back for sure. BYO too which was a plus.

One of my favourite fine dining restaurants in Perth. The quality of the food never disappoints and the ambience is great. We always get the four course set menu which is surprisingly affordable for what you get. Seafood is fresh, highly recommend the sashimi and caviar pasta for the entree. Only wish they would bring back the green tea creme brulee for dessert, I loved it!

This dining experience was excellent. From start to finish there was a very high level of attentiveness. Staff were polite and knowledgeable about what they were serving. The atmosphere inside was casual yet refined and created a nice ambience. In terms of the food itself, the Omakase Menu is superb. Roughly translated to "Trust the Chef" that is very much what you should do. I found the courses to be perfectly portioned. The Tasting Menu was structured such that the courses reflected a journey across Japan concluding in Australia. It began with very classic, traditional Japanese dishes with Tofu followed Sashimi (both exceptional). Progressing to more modern Australian style dishes fused with Japanese notes, and finishing with a modern desert. I enjoyed the way this reflected the nature of the restaurant. Respecting it's Japanese roots, while embracing modern Australian Cuisine. It takes you on the restaurants journey of self discovery and how it comes to be what it is today. The prices are slightly below what you would expect for a Degustation of this nature, which leads me to think it was very good value. However no drinks pairing option is available for the menu. BYO is available however. Parking is easy and free in the street or side streets. Overall this was a dining experience i would recommend whole-heatedly to anyone who enjoys these types of establishments.
