After seeing the Google reviews we decided to take our friends here for a birthday treat but we were slightly disappointed. The portion of the pasta was very small. The taste was really average. The quality of mussels was not good. The pizza was okay! And dessert was pretty average too. Lipsticks on one of our drinking glasses and fork still had food stain. Service was hit n miss probably due to lack of staff on a public holiday.

Very attentive staff. We came in for lunch and it wasn't too crowded which was nice. I ordered the tuna and it was amazing. Pan seared on the outside, medium rare on the inside. Just the right amount of olive oil and salt. The dish was very well balanced in terms of taste. 10/10 for the simplicity and taste. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal.

Lovely experience here! I ordered a vegan gf pizza and no joke, it was the best pizza I have had! I also ordered a G&T and as you can see in this image it came as the best G&T I've even been served 😂❤️ absolutely delicious and lovely staff, highly recommend.

I have been here on a Valentine’s day and I have to say, I was really impressed with the way they set up the venue. Table full of decorations, heart shaped balloons and two complementary heart shaped chocolate on our plate. Started with two cocktails both very delicious, generous and finished with a very cute garnish. Followed with 2 entree 2 mains 2 extra drinks and 2 desserts. Thank God I choose this place. Everything was tasty, fresh and delicious. Service was second to none, very professional, super friendly and attentive. Thanks to Simple Italian! That was a superb Experience!

My wife and I went to a comedy show upstairs at the Comedy Lounge and then made our way down to SIMPLE Italian. What a great location! The food was fantastic and cooked to perfection. The service was equally as pleasing. Great date night. Will certainly return.

Wow what an experience! We went here last night and we were very impressed. The pizza we had was traditionally made with generous toppings & just perfectly the way an Italian Pizza should be with very tasty crust. Also ordered the gnocchi & that sauce, absolutely incredible. Great service as well, the food came out hot and pretty quick. Very friendly staff and the food was reasonably priced as well. Definitely coming back here, keep doing what you guys do best!!

We have been meaning to dine at 'Simple' for weeks as a friend told us about this amazing Italian restaurant in the city. Friday night did not disappoint. After a warm, friendly welcome we were shown to our table and the experience began. The drinks arrived in good time and the starters were soon being demolished!!! We had a small break and then onto main course which was rich, wholesome and authentic. Unfortunately we couldn't manage a dessert as we were well satisfied by then but the desserts menu sounded very appealing. We did however have an after dinner celebratory drink for our anniversary. The staff were attentive and took the time to make us feel welcome and valued customers. The decor of Simple was warm and welcoming. A great night, thank you. I would certainly recommend this restaurant and hopefully we'll be able to return and try some of the other delicacies on offer.

Great Italian cuisine with plenty of choices, all reasonably priced. Pizzas are really well done with authentic ingredients. Only reason I took off a * is the service is bit slow/lacking. No one came around after serving our pizzas to ask if we wanted anything. When we were done eating, we waited for a while before calling staff for our bill. Other than that, great place to dine.

I always think that so many places in the city are a bit mediocre because they fall back on their location. Not this place! The pizza was top notch (I had the forrest mushroom pizza), the cocktails were artfully mixed and as good as any I have had at any top bar and (despite being fully booked and very busy) the service was excellent. My only criticism is it was a bit hot as we were quite close to the wood oven and I do wonder how it would be in summer. Also I had to give them a credit card number to secure the booking. This freaked me out a little as I was booking for group and have had a bad experience in the past, but I understand why they need to do it. Other than that, this place is a real gem. Also, the pizzas are bigger than you think!

Favourite local. We usually have our standard gnocchi and pizza diavola but this time was for his birthday dinner with son so tried something different . Wow, a little gem in the city! we had our end of year financial year diner big group of 30 and the restaurant had the atmosphere and luxurious decoration. Such a shame it could have easily been a 5 star! Started off great, welcomed and taken to our seats, water offered and orders taken for food and drinks. Drinks menu taken away, so couldn't look to see what my next cocktail would be! Starters arrived and were delicious, asked for the drinks menu (it never came) mains came and service was great. Food was lovely. Left some so we had room for dessert, nobody came to take or plates or ask if we wanted another drink even though our glasses were empty. Eventually got the attention of a waiter who swiped our plates and left us with mouths wide open before having the chance to ask for dessert menu. Waited 5 mins but no one came near so we went to pay the bill. Not once did anyone ask if we enjoyed our meal, disappointed 😕

It's in the name... exactly what you'd expect right down to the table cloths and decor. Service is friendly and the menu very traditional pan-Italian. Pizza are fresh and perfect thin bases. The tuna was cooked perfectly although the salad was a little humdrum. All in all not thrilling but certainly not disappointing.

The atmosphere is pretty good, place is clean, nice floor, there are some long tables can be really good for group parties and I think those tables have better quality than the small table we sat. The mushroom soup was average, spinach salad was okay, the pizza was good.

Great authentic wood fired Pizza here, the base is a little different than most, slightly chewy wholemeal base, loving the fresh chilli and rosemary on the Diavola. A generous 13” pizza, that could easily be shared or enjoyed all to yourself. 👍🏼licensed too.

A properly Italian pizza, the mozzarella on top was so fresh and tasty and the basil pesto on the top was literally divine! Only ever been here for breakfast so YMMV. The coffee is great and everything sweet tastes amazing. The savoury options are very stingy though. The photo below is my ~$9 chicken schnitzel toastie. It had one piece of limp lettuce that probably should have been binned (the yellow thing is lettuce not cheese) and the schnitzel is so small less than half of my bites had any in it. It's ~9cm of sandwich with ~3.5cm of chicken. If that was half the schnitzel, the whole would have fit perfectly. For $9 its just not worth it when Headspace is cheaper for a bigger and tastier sandwich. Even the upmarket places around this area wouldn't charge $9 for two bites of chicken in a five-bite toastie. Also there is no cheese in it. Which is weird. For the record, the toastie still tasted good. The bread was very nice. But between the bad lettuce and the lack of chicken I'd give the toastie a 2/5 overall.

Lovely hot fresh pizza, great service, they even brought out water for our dog, which was really appreciated. Metal bar stools in the alfresco area were a little hard on the derrière, or we would have stayed a bit longer. Does takeaway too, saw the 'doordash' bikes come and pick up quite a few orders in the short time we were there. Inside restaurant was nicely set up, looked like there was plenty of large tables for group bookings.

Let us begin with the atmosphere. The decor was splended! It wasn't cramped, but inviting. Art on the walls, red lighting around the middle, boxes for shelves, food tins, bottles on and behind the bar. Grapes, olives, it was very inviting. The staff, fantastic, prompt, brief, inviting, non-intrusove. Well dressed, with a smile! That's the reason to visit, now the reason to stay. The food is absolutely fantastic. No word of a lie, it was probably the best pizza I've eaten in Perth for a very long time. Everyone in my team was asking where i got it from! It's a great place to visit for authentic Italian dishes. I'm a veggo they serve delicious vegetarian pizza called Contadina. One Pizza could suffice 2 people easily. It's my goto pizza place in Perth when I'm in the city.

Absolutely top quality food. We were a group of 8 and had quite a variety of dishes, from pizza and calzone to pasta and salads. My pizza crust had just the right amount of bite and the flavour was fresh and full of goodness. I tasted a few of the other dishes and everything was equally high quality. The staff were friendly and the service was lovely and everything arrived very closely together. The prices were maybe a little above gastro pub prices but you could certainly tell the difference. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you're after the quality and flavour that comes from authentic Italian cuisine.

Wonderful Italian restaurant right in the heart of Perth CBD. We went out to dinner with friends and took our baby along. The restaurant was beautiful. The food wonderful but the piece de resistance was the staff. They endlessly picked up the toys my kid scattered about the restaurant. They were so helpful and attentive as well even giving my kid a little piece of pizza dough so he could play with it. I will definitely be back.

Stunning. What a restaurant and feed. Everything was magnificent, except for one dish. The duck. From previous photos and friends it seems that we may have been served a one off. However, instead of the slice of duck we were given some sort of a 'terrine' I believe. It was full of fat and no good at all. Every other item and dish was magical. I would have to say that the pork was the best, followed by the crab and lamb, both of which were also amazing. Desert, palate cleansers and petit fours also went down a massive treat.
