Nicely appointed indoor/ outdoor dining. Well meaning staff who care about the customer. Food a bit pricy but you pay for the ambience. Nice way to while away a few hours on a Sunday

Great food, poor service, small portions. Not suitable for large parties. The wait-on staff did not identify the dishes as they put them down which led to some confusion. Also, the portions were tiny. The atmosphere was nice. Overall, I had a good time but left hungry.

5 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟went for after drinks Melbourne cup day, we normally go every year. Decided to try the Market islands cafe instead, (big mistake) so we came after. They had a band, the foods great, champagne just kept following really enjoyed our selves. Staff usually accommodating. Went back the next day to eat, 5 min to 21:00 bartender said the kitchen was closed and we had to go somewhere else, with plenty of people there not sure why restaurants in Australia do that.

My husband surprised me yesterday with lunch and we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary, I was left absolutely delighted! The service was fantastic, was served by a lovely young waitress with glasses, who recommend the steak sandwich, and provided a great experience. Highly recommend.

Steve's in Nedlands is a combination of upscale wine store, restaurant, and garden alfresco bar area. The wine store has a very interesting selection of wine, although prices are a little steep in comparison to DMs etc, but their range is excellent, with many obscure varietals. The restaurant is nice, meals are very tasty and portions were pretty decent. The outside courtyard is a great place to soak up the sun and check out the Western Suburbs ladies. Each section by themselves aren't amazing, but when you combine them into 1 venue Steve's makes for a memorable afternoon out, and I'll definitely be back this summer!

I had a 6pm booking for dinner before a show which was due to start at 8pm, unfortunately the show time was moved to 6:30pm and I only realised when we arrived at steve's at 5:50! I let a staff member know and she showed us to our table straight away, advised us which dishes would come out the quickest and swiftly brought our food to us when it was ready. By 6:20pm we'd eaten incredible food, consumed delicious wine and had been treated beautifully by the staff. I was so impressed! Can't wait to come back with more time!

First star 🌟 service man theses guys go over board never saying No! Which in my book is the best thing I could say about a restaurant after all the customer should always get what they want. Second star🌟 fantastic selection of wine, for the area you would expect fine opulence. They don't disappoint Third star 🌟 great atmosphere, have a meeting, eat or play. Weird vibe with smoking section adjacent non smoking. Inattentive staff. 15 minutes after receiving my meal asked where my wife’s was and seemingly it had been sitting on the pass the whole time and then brought our starters out after I had finished my main. Still water tastes very much like tap water. Water was complimentary but don’t put it in a bottle that says filtered when it’s not. Male toilet had no full flush and half flush didn’t work properly, sink cracked, no soap, electric hand dryer not working. Food was fine but let down by everything else.

It was a good restaurant with a cozy atmosphere, but one of the staffs should be more polite. I was waiting for them to bring a menu for us and when I realized that they don't, so I got up to pickup a menu and the staff ( she was a lady with blond hair) came to grab the menu from my hand and said for the coffee you don't need a menu and should straightly order and then she tear up the menu immediately in front of me!! I know that it was because of the covid-19 safety but she shouldn't tear it up in front of me, that was rude. I will back again because I like the atmosphere and want to try more options of your menu but that lady should be trained more.

An institution in Nedlands. My first time dining there with Barilla Bay Oysters, Goldband Snapper and a rare scotch fillet we both left very satisfied with our meal. Attentive and efficient staff, a range of tap beers and an extensive wine choice means that we will be back to sample more of the menu.

I really want to like this place but something just holds me back. Sure great location to walk the river and handy for Nedlands. Nice outside area and the staff are friendly enough.maube just need to keep returning but perhaps the beer is overpriced and for that matter so is the food. It's pretty well presented...just pricey and popular with what seems corporate events so you just never know even if a regular if you will get a place to sit. I dunno...jury still out with this long established place so it must be doing something right still. Yeah it's ok....I think!

Just got back from NZ , hospitality over there is awesome, Oz service needs work , we need to be awesome again- its not hard, just a friendly warm smile and a good attitude is all it would take to make the customers come back. The food here is delicious, but the staff were what made the experience truly lovely! We were served by a French man who was very kind and sophisticated, yet also open to intriguing discussion and always considerate and polite. A fairly busy hotel, pretty noisy on the main bar. We sat in the cellar room and had a lovely meal. We all four of us enjoyed a different meal. Mine was great. I ordered the pork, Gf and DF. No garlic or onion. This was no problem to them. The service was excellent and the room was very quiet.

An upmarket locals venue well kept in the affluent Avenue of Nedlands. They have an impressive wine selection and Japanese beers on tap. The food was nice but i ended up ordering 3 main meals as the portion sizes were so small.

Reasonable upmarket pub. If you wish to have a quiet meal or discuss something important please ensure you book in the wine store dining room. The food is ok with predictable options. Not many vegetarian options. The wine selection especially in the wine stores is great.

Steve’s is a reliable up market pub that, sadly, has decided to charge for its loyalty programme. Food is always good, good range of wines and enthusiastic young staff. Sometimes hard to get a table because it’s a very popular watering hole, but those in the know book.

Great atmosphere mainly during the day time, at night it gets noisy and its staff are always friendly although with an ever continuous supply of new staff of late some of these new staff replacements are woefully inadequate. And their coffee making skills leave a lot to be desired. -Oh it Does have a tendency to attract rich and white from just up the road on the hill above, some of which are entirely deplorable [god what they would do with all these scruffy low-income earners if they only got their chance!]. Mostly however the patrons are more up-market folks who are generally educated and intelligent, even if affluent and are not seeking somewhere rough or ready in which to start a pub brawl over a minor quibble about the footy results. -Okay one or two of the richy-rich deplorable types whether male/female probably have the tendency to get a bit obnoxious on occassion, even a little snooty and if these think your too poor to be within their radiant spheres they don't say so, they act so. The first few words out of their mouths can reveal all so i tactfully smile and act boring, these soon decide i'm low income and dull before moving-off rather quickly. To finish, Steve's has a Brilliant wine menu and great food with ready supply of daily newspapers from financial times, the australian and WA newspapers. Its just a really family friendly cool place to hang-out during the day or on those fresh balmy early evenings, and to hell with a few deplorables.

Nothing like Steve's used to be before they redeveloped the whole place. Staff were nice and my Coke Zero tasted just as expected, but it's lost the vibe it used to have back in the old days when Wednesday night was Steve's night with karaoke and jugs. Still not a bad spot, but the views have been blocked by luxury apartments.

Steve's identifies itself as Bar and Café, but I think the level of standard in terms of service and food is in line with Perth's top restaurants. One of the few places where they do not overcook salmon, where they have quality mineral water for those not drinking alcohol (yes mostly I get poured from a spray gun). Very well done Steve's Team!
