Beautiful location on the banks of the Swan River with very efficient, well presented and courteous staff. The food had small portion sizes but that's to be expected in a restaurant of this type, however, it was nice. The chairs could use some upgrading to something more comfortable, but apart from that it was a pleasant experience.

Beautiful location. The staff were very friendly and the food was amazing. Highly recommend. Love the extra attention they gave us as it was our anniversary dinner. We will definitely be returning in the future!

Service was excellent from all the staff. Seafood pasta was disappointing however the crayfish special was good. If you book I recommend asking for a seat near the window so you can see the view.

I don't usually write reviews but feel it necessary as I had the most wonderful lunch experience today at The Boatshed. It started when I phoned to ask that my 100yr old nana and I sit at a table that was not too hot (it was 40 degrees outside) but that still had a view of the river. We couldn't have asked for a more suitable table.The waitresses were considerate and very helpful. We did not have to wait long for our drinks and food. The manager was also very kind and let us park in the loading bay. It is so lovely to have staff that care. We will definitely be back!!! Thank you

We had lunch here. the view was fantastic! The Service was very good. the food we had was good quality and well cooked. The menu selection was small approximately 8 dishes on the mains & 4 deserts. To select from. One star has been removed for the small menu (everyone agreed they had to compromise on there selection as there was nothing on the menu they really liked. ) and one star removed for what we found to be uncomfortable seating.

Have to give 5 stars! The views of the city are priceless. The food was incredible and the staff are so friendly. When I made the booking I asked for a window seat because I wanted it to be special for my wife's birthday. They gave us the perfect table placement and even remembered my wife's birthday! They gave her a happy birthday message with her desert without me even having to ask. Thanks so much guys! We will be back for my birthday 😉

At first the young lady attending our function was good. Then she left due her shift being over. The continuation of the service and hospitality went down hill. We observed staff messing around and chatting. On a number of occasions we had to leave out seats to go ask for service. Location is nice. Parking easy. Would I go back. 🤔 No!

Beautiful setting for breakfast. Directly across the Swan River from Perth city. What a spectacular view. I've been here for breakfast many times in the middle of summer and in the middle of winter and the view never fails to amaze me. The staff are very friendly and happy to oblige when asked to leave out or add items from menu choices. The restaurant prefers tables to have one bill only which is the only down side. I would give 5 stars but for that.

Destination...perfect for any special occasion or just going out, looking out over the river and looking at the lights of the City reflecting off the water magic, food.. superb 👌 the fillet steak melts in your mouth, and service... excellent, best service I have had from any restaurant in years, polite, happy to help, nothing seems to be a problem for them and all with a smile ( something that we don't see often from wait staff ).

The Cafe is nice on a cold morning. The coffee is OK, nothing exceptional. It's just that it's conveniently located by the river and offers a kids play gym and indoor /outdoor seating. It’s all about the view here. We went here for our anniversary and it was great to have a beautiful view. The food was nice and so was the service but it was nothing exceptional.

I went there for friend’s wedding. Staff were fabulous and friendly. Nice intimate setting to celebrate special occasion, also very wonderful scenery overlooking Perth city. Easy finding car park space also. Food served was nice and fresh. The beef dish we had were super yummy and delicious, the fish was ok, and entree (salmon and potato) was another superb dish, never get to try the chicken dish, but my friend said was nice too. Very nice place for dinner. Amazing view. Great high-quality food, and very reasonably priced. I would come back again to bring for a romantic date though you need to reserve a table in advance. We were quite lucky to walk in and get a table. This is also a great place to bring clients or colleagues that haven't been to Perth. The wine and drinks selection is fairly extraordinary, so even for drinks its a great place to hang out.

Amazing service and delicious food. Went here last night for my Dad’s birthday. I told our waitress just after the main course that it was his birthday, and they were able to organise a decorated plate and sparkler to celebrate for desert, despite the short notice. They also catered to my partner who is a coeliac with most menu options being able to be made gluten free. Everyone enjoyed their food and our waitress was fantastic. We are definitely going back.

Friday night celebration Entrees were fine, one of the two mains was a lot better than the other. Wines as expected very expensive as we now know in Perth. The sting the tail was the bottled tap water cost $8.00. The other sting was the GST added onto the bill at the check out. Never experienced this before. A quick way to add a dollar and advertise menu items at a lower price as it is not disclosed in each menu item that GST is not included. Just add 10% to every item. An unpleasant experience..

Amazing views and ambience for a great evening. Interesting variety of foods. Can do with more rose options on the wine list and for such an amazing place I’d suggest some tablecloths to fit in with the upmarket feel. Wheelchair access and parking.

Fantastic dining experience. The view is great but food and service are even better. My son wanted the burger on the lunch menu which isn't available for dinner but the chef cooked for him. I casually mentioned it's our anniversary when I asked the waitress to snap a photo for us. Then when we ordered our desert it had "happy anniversary" written on it. Very thoughtful. Steaks (both beef and lamb) are good, so are oysters (the best I've had but if course I'm not a big oyster eater) and desserts. Is not cheap but you'll get what you've paid for. Higher recommended!

Not sure if the playground access was intended for restaurant goers or just cafe attendees but we used it anyway as we were there with a toddler, he loved it so much I couldn't get him away!

Great location, not sure about the food as there was an altercation with some intoxicated people, that management handled somewhat poorly. There was a table of 8 over 65' that were very intoxicated and kept getting louder and louder Someone put in a complaint, and the drunken loud abnoxious woman confronted the people who put in the complaint. We will go again but.first review is not so good.

A simple and straight forward cafe. Delicious sandwich and salad. Have not try their cake but all very tempting. Great view and seating options. Great for children due to the play area.i love their tuna melt!

Went there with my wife for lunch. She had the 'Roasted Barramundi', I had the 'Harvey Beef Burger' and we also ordered a 'Szechuan Calamari' All of it tasted good. The restaurant has a spectacular view of the Swan River I thought that the prices were fairly reasonable, all things considered. The 'Roasted Barramundi' was about 43, the 'Harvey Beef Burger' was 28. I think the 'Szechuan Calamari' was about 20

What a beautiful spot! Can't believe it's taken me so long to try the Boatshed Restaurant. Amazing views of the city, hearty portions of beautifully presented food. We had thai fish cakes and freshly baked garlic bread to start (but everyone around us was enjoying the tasting plate) for mains we had the Pork Belly & the Gnocchi, with chocolate brownie to finish, plus a couple glasses of Prosecco. Everything was yummy and enjoyable but the mains where a stand out, i can't stop thinking about the pork belly that was cooked to absolute perfection! We will be back soon!

Lovely little cafe with a great view situated on the river. There is also an enclosed playground for kids at the back of the cafe. We had the fish cakes (really delicious), calamari (was ok, not as flavourful as we thought it was going to be) and had the sliders of the day (was quite tasty!). I've been to the side cafe a few times during week for brekky and every time the staff are friendly and on the ball. The food's always good and decent portion size. Popular place for early morn dog walkers to grab a coffee and bites to eat. I noticed there's an fenced off outside play area popular with families. But no other outside seating. The weekends always busy. But there's also the restaurant side which is fantastic and the views of the city are great. I only have 4 stars as there's just not enough seating outdoors for cafe patrons.

Today we celebrated a second big family event at The Boatshed Restaurant. Last year it was an 80th birthday and today a 21st birthday for our Granddaughter. Both events went of seamlessly. Today we were seated right in front of open windows that took full advantage of the river views and the beautiful weather Perth dished up today! I can't thank the staff enough for their friendly accommodating service. The food as always was delicious and beautifully presented. Right down to the birthday cake. Thank you to everyone that helped make our day such a success :-) We will be back again very soon.

Setting is great: lovely view of the marina and of the marina “beach” Food was good, but spoiled by the mass of salad. We both had the fish and chips, the fish was done to perfection, the chips were “wow”, half a plate of salad leaves with some lost carrot shavings was disappointing. We were there before noon and I realise that the serving staff were still setting up for the day, but one would expect the person taking orders to acknowledge you whole they’re wiping down surfaces - don’t hold your breath on that happening. The young lady that brought our food was very friendly and efficient. On balance: so-so reception, good food, good service

I had never eaten here before but made the choice based on a google rating of 4.3 out of 5. Usually this is reliable. The view was awesome, the service was good, but for the price, the food was very disappointing. We were a party of 5, we all ordered different mains and they were all well below average for a restarant that is charging between $35 and $75 for a main. Sadly, based on this experience we will not be returning. Our neighbour told us this place was great 20 years ago but then went down hill. Wish i had spoken to him before we booked. There are much better establishments in Perth worthy of our hard earned cash.

It's a beautiful location, the coffee I had was nice which is saying a lot as a lot of places will be burnt or stale so very happy with that. Being located on the foreshore it is perfect to grab a toasted sandwich and go have a park on a bench. However they only had one sandwich on offer huge opportunity missed. Ham and cheese toasted sandwich wish they forgot to put ham into... Would love to see just a couple of options to beef this out and remember to put all the ingredients in.

Our go to restaurant for quality food without the fine dining pricetag. It was a triple birthday celebration and the staff did an amazing job in having a celebration note on the desserts. A wonderful view of the Perth skyline, overlooking the Swan river. Off to the right along the Swan are the coloured lights of the new football stadium and Matagarup bridge. We were fortunate to have an almost full moon sitting above the stadium and reflecting along the river. The beef fillet was cooked perfectly and was a quality cut. Very nice. My friend loved her salad and lemon tart. Very nice meal. The staff are very friendly. Overall a beautiful night, great food, great service, good price and amazing views/setting.

We had a wonderful lunch at The Boatshed Restaurant this afternoon. I ate the twice cooked pork belly with seared scallops and had the olive oil cake for dessert. Both were delicious (though the pork belly crackling was a little hard). My mother-in-law had the barramundi and my husband tried the roasted lamb rump, and both raved about their dishes. We had spectacular views of the city and the service was impeccable.

Have been to the Boatshed restaurant several times in the past few years and the service and food have always been of a high standard. The cafe next door is always great for a more casual coffee, snack or quick meal.

A few months since we were last here and a definite downturn. The entree menu was a particular disappointment. If you have no one that wants to share a tasting plate there is minimal choice - bread or oysters. Our table ordered five serves of the bread roll entree and did not consider it value for money at all, we could not believe one serve was one small roll. Mains were lovely but very lean on any veges or carbs for the price ie the price of the mains was at the top end as it was, without adding on veges. Presentation of the food was excellent, service was average, the girl kept taking the wrong dishes to the wrong people.

I have been to this cafe a few times and always enjoyed the excellent food and drinks. Both of the staff members, a young man, and a lady by the name of Ina? on duty Tuesday 17/03/2020 were lovely and showed a great deal of kindness to myself and my little boy, when we went to leave the cafe but it would not stop pouring down with rain, they let us stay indoors until my husband could come pick us up. Otherwise we would have faced walking home in the rain and getting sick. Thanks so much again. Edit: I feel that I have to remove one star, because a number of times recently we have been and the quality of the food has gone down significantly. I ordered a breakfast with bacon and scrambled eggs, and it came out with just normal toast not nice bread that you would usually get in a cafe at this price point, dry eggs, and the bacon was not very nice at all. I ended up leaving the rest of the meal as couldn't eat it. The change from several months ago is really surprising, as my husband and I had a fantastic brunch with trout and poached eggs that was really well presented and almost too beautiful to eat. Has the chef changed or something?

Dreadful. Surly waiter, cold and draughty table, food well below par and remarkably slow. Prawn entree not de-veined, pork belly far from crisp and barely warm. Main duck and beef dishes both overcooked, dry, and lukewarm. Close to three hundred bucks for two with a bottle of wine. Avoid.
