Comments of The Meat & Wine Co Perth
J. C.
We had the tasting plate and the wagyu rump. The food was top notch and couldn't fault it. Most meals are served with chips or salad not both and the sauce for the steak is extra but worth it. The service was attentive, professional and respectful. The venue is ambient, intimate and comfortable. Great location and a short walk from Elizabeth quay. Highly recommend for a special occasion with friends.
J. L.
The place is precisely as stated by the company name, you come here for its widest range of wine and meat. We did enjoy both. However where we were seated was more like a mass hall then a restaurant. The decor was great but the place is stuffy and noisy.
E.
Amazing dinner and excellent service!
My partner and I came here for our anniversary dinner. It was a great meal full of flavour and very enjoyable. Staff were very courteous and friendly. You will no doubt enjoy your time and experience here.
L. P.
Always nice to eat there. Excellent service and amazing setting. That ceiling design makes you feel like royalty. The only thing i find wrong with the place, which is not really their fault, is that it gets LOUD! Seems to be an Australian thing i guess. We go to a restaurant and feel we need to scream our lungs out and disturb all the other tables around us. We gotta have fun right? 🙄 Back to the positives, large selection of aged steaks. They do have a good kids menu and also a large selection of sekwers which is more of my kind of meal 😊

Amazing steak restaurant in the heart of Perth. Went there for family dinner and wS very impressed with the service and the food.
I had the ribeye steak done medium rare and it had a crust and perfectly medium rare in the centre.
The beef tartare is also not to be missed on that menu.
Can't recommend this place enough.
N. B.
Very fast service. Great quality food. The 2 course express lunch was excellent value for money and it comes with a free drink. I had the Szechuan Calamari which was super tender and the shorthorn rump which tasted great and was plenty filling.
F. L. Y.
Fantastic location, decor and ambiance. We had a Groupon voucher for 3 course meal and though limited choice the food was super delicious, we'll portioned, and served and presented with finesse, commendation to the chefs. It was great to have a personal waiter, who was knowledgeable and attentive. It was great to see that the original decor of building has been retained, one felt relaxed and enriched. HIGHLY recommend.

I don't really have anything bad to say about this place, great experience great food excellent staff, cocktails were made perfectly and all the meat that was ordered was cooked to perfection! Definitely recommend whether you have a family or taking the missus out for a nice dinner! Absolutely amazing spot guys👌🏽
S. B.
We had a lovely meal at Meat & Wine Co. Service was very friendly and attentive. We had the shorthorn rib eye. Great flavour, tender, juicy. Peppermint tiramisu was also refreshing and delicious.

Meat and Wine Co. The venue is absolutely amazing. However don’t think the food stacks up to its reputation. I left feeling disappointed with my Rib eye with mash and blue cheese sauce. The Rib eye wan’t done in a classic grill-style served up with the bone, and the blue sauce cheese definitely a little sad, it was hard to tell if there was actually blue cheese in it…it should have been made with a fine Australian blue vein cheese, was lumpy and lacked flavour, same with the Mushroom sauce, tasted sugary! Ribs were good, but $80 for a full serve! Atmosphere is amazing though and same with ambience and the staff were great. No issues their. For the prices they are charging I expected way higher quality food. Would I eat there again, possibly not, but makes a good wine bar. Would I recommend, no, not for a big family do.
M. C.
Very nice cozy place to enjoy some great food and nice wine. Really great friendly service with food well priced and good portions. A very nice experience

Wow! This venue is special from the time you enter the building. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated in the most beautiful room. Stunning architecture and quirky seat design.
Our server was attentive, helpful and friendly (Nas☆). Our meals and drinks were delicious and served promptly. One of our meals was a steak that melted in the mouth (350g New Yorker). The menu has a good selection of meals including vegetarian! The drinks menu had a large selection of beer, wine and cocktails.
We highly recommend and will definitely be back 😊
J.
Divine. Staff are perfectly attentive. Food is magnificent and the Building is amazing. Worth the visit and enjoy a delightful meal.
A. H.
Devine steaks. Opted for their aged line, a 1kg slab cooked to absolute perfection. Great variety of sauces in generous sizes. Tasting plate as an entreè a hit! Will be back for more.

Everything at this The meat and Wine Co was amazing! Our main server was so lovely and kind and I can say the same about the other servers that also helped us. The Portuguese prawns was absolutely delicious 9/10 (only missed the one point because coriander). Our steaks were also delicious , we ate too much to make it to dessert but I’m sure they would of been yummy too! We will definitely be going back to try everything else! Thank you for a wonderful evening!
M. B.
The food was wonderful and half the cost of other meat / steak restaurants. Were there for wife’s birthday and she loved it. Try and get one of the booths with the ‘rope walls’ (my best description) and you will have a great evening.
Y. C.
Was recommended by a colleague and have to agree that the service was excellent. Not only that, the express lunch was of excellent value too. At just $49 you get a choice of entree, mains and dessert. The best part is that it’s available on Saturday too! Now on to the food . I had the wagyu tartare for entree, the main was a 250g wagyu rump ( gain fed 450 days, marble score 6+) was cooked to medium rare perfection. The dessert chosen was the classic creme brûlée which was as good as any 5-star restaurant and I’ve been to many. Highly recommend The Meat & Wine Co, Perth.
N. L.
When a restaurant kindly accepts a last minute booking for a large family and gives them a private room to enjoy a special occasion together, it really makes your day. The food was amazing with service excellence to boot. Awesome experience and will definitely be back when in Perth again
l. w.
Thank you to Kyla for your exceptional customer service. You were able to provide the right amount of service , without us feeling pressured. It's the service that made it for us tonight. The chicken skewer was infused with amazing flavours. Our wagyu steak was tender and cooked to as ordered (credit to the chef). The venue did feel a little cramped and more like a pub then a restaurant. And the creamy garlic sauce was a little watery. Overall a nice experience.
M. W.
This place was an absolute treat. Went for lunch with friends. Started with an espresso martini. It was a great mix no bitterness. Entree was the pork belly, soft crispy and delicious. Practically melted in the mouth. Follwed by a 200g fillet steak medium rare. Which was absolutley delicious no gristle no fat. No chewy bits at all. Sides were all delicious veal jus was slightly too runny for my liking. Kids were happy with thier meals. Possible drank the best bottle of malbec I've ever tasted here along with the meal which is why I didnt get any food pics or pics of the atmosphere. But heres the bottle for anyone looking for a good drop. Will be returning to this venue great architectural views of a heritage building! Service was a 10.
D. C.
Thank you to Hayley and the staff for amazing service tonight. So well looked after.
The food was beautifully presented and very tasty. The chefs did a great job with the meal presentation especially the steak. Just to our liking.
We cannot wait to come back and try all the other menu options.
N. F.
Went there last Saturday for my bday n really worth it . Booked 1 month in advance n our table was 5:45. South African meat specialised , we had a nice grazing plate enough for 4 pp, full rack hibs which we could order 2 n stake . Awesome cocktail n wine , great service too , the feature on the ceiling is stunning
V. B.
What a magnificent venue. The staff were exceptional, very attentive, very personable, but in a very effortless way. They were a credit to the restaurant, and that type of service is extremely rare in Perth. The food was amazing as well with very good portion sizes. I will be back, for sure.
B. M.
Really nice experience for our Anniversary dinner. Huge range of wines to choose from, steaks were cooked to perfection. Had a medium and a well done and both couldn't be done any better. Bit on the pricier side but for a special occassion well worth it.
Y. K.
The visit was a birthday treat and a treat it was. From the personalised cutlery and napkins to the tasteful decor, the food was beyond amazing and the waiting staff so attentive. If you're halal like I am, they definitely cater and advise on options. The steak was melt in your mouth delicious and everything else equally delectable. I even got a little birthday treat on the house
Definitely on my repeat visit list

This was our first time here, I did quite a bit of looking for the perfect restaurant so followed Perth Foodies and looked up online. We had the express lunch. We made the mistake of thinking parking would be easy midweek (it wasn't) and very costly.
We loved the experience of Meat and Wine co. My partner can cook a mean steak so it's hard to go out for steak and see the value of paying for a good steak at restaurants but this was amazing and my partner has been raving about it since. Simple done well - steak had the lovely caramelisation putside and tender inside, chips were perfectly crunchy and well done. House wine was fantastic and supposedly supplied especially for Meat and Wine co so we can't go out and buy it :( it really accented the steak well. Oh and the brulee had the perfect amount of crack to it. Delicious and creaky with crunch.
Staff were attentive but not around too much, it was busy midweek but not crazy busy at lunch time. This is a stunning old building with modern furniture and lots of booths, it was a beautiful place to look at during lunch, I loved the detail of the ceiling. The tables are quite close together and it was hard to tune out other people when they are right there but the food made the experience.
Thank you M&WC, we will be back.
M. H.
Great staff and atmosphere. Most of the food was top notch (calamari entree, chicken skewer and lava cake) but we came for the steak. Cooked just right but disappointingly tough steak. Expected better. Chips were excellent
J. Y.
Food on Point, waitresses are fantastic and the venue itself is stunning. We took children with us and they also enjoyed the meals. Would definitely recommend for a date night somewhere beautiful but still casual.
S. M.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience tonight dining at The Meat & Wine Co. We had our end of year work function in the Rhino Room. The ambiance was just perfect and the room was so quaint. The food was absolutely delicious and the service we received from Barbara is to be commended. She was so hospitable and her smile was genuine. No matter what we asked of her, she was able to sort out for us. Amy, the functions Manager is also to be mentioned. She is brilliant at what she does and she made us feel welcomed from the minute we arrived. Thank you everyone for a memorable evening!
S. H.
Such an amazing place. My wife and I dined here for the first time and the service and food was outstanding. Can't recommend it enough. We are getting a voucher for the oldies to come here and we will definitely be back! Thanks to everyone who made our special day extra special :)

The Meat n Wine Co food review
What immediately caught my attention when we arrived was how friendly and switched on the staff were tonight for dinner
Hayley was very welcoming and so was Marie who was handling our table
Full of genuine smiles, great service and ever so eager to please
We had the fresh 75 cocktail - hmm..tasted great and the Russell reserve single barrel bourbon
For the mains, we had the eye fillet long horn and the tagliata
Simple, full of taste and best sundried tomatoes and chips accompanying the dishes
We were really impressed by a wonderful gesture by the staff on the couple sitting next to us
She accidentally split her cocktail - minutes later - she was offered a complimentary replacement - don’t try that guys…it was a birthday gift I understand from them
Thank you for a lovely evening
C. M.
Went to dinner last Sunday for the first time in this restaurant and had an experience which exceeded my expectations. Firstly, I loathed steak prior to coming here BUT THAT RIB EYE STEAK was cooked to perfection!! Secondly, the ambient environment and music ensured we felt relaxed throughout dinner. Lastly, and the cherry on top of the whole experience...was the service. We were honoured by the service that “Charles” provided throughout the night. His warm, friendly and welcoming presence made us feel at home whilst ensuring we were well catered for. Had a great experience and already planning when to book dinner again. Thank you :)
W. R. (.
Absolutely the best steak I have had for a long time. Perfect in every way, service exceptional, atmosphere exactly what you want, beer cold, perfectly chilled & tasty. Only disappointment was the cocktail I ordered wasn't what I actually received. Still drank it because it was still made very well. Well worth the visit to decide for yourself.
L. B.
Tartare was exceptional. Great service. Definitely coming back.
C. J.
Took a group for my husbands birthday today for lunch. Service and food were exceptional .
Definitely be going back. Guilhume the waiter was fantastic with a awesome sense of humour. had the most relaxing and enjoyable afternoon .
J. D.
Delicious food and decor, service was fantastic. However the tables in the big fancy room were too small - had a group of 5 and one of us had to sit awkwardly on the end of the table against the wall. And not sure why the chip bowls had holes in the bottom, very strange and inconvenient. Would recommend and would go back.
K. T.
The lunch specials are great value (for your work team/personal outing), and food is super tasty. Steak, amazing. If you love dessert, the sticky date pudding is yum!
A. C.
This place was amazing.
From the decor, to the food and the service. Even the bathrooms, furniture and cutlery were on point.
The African wines on menu were delicious and accompanied our food perfectly. Though the Pinotage was by far more delicious than the Syrah.
Our entrees were: boerewors, beef tartare & biltong - all were divine.
Our mains were: Truffle Samp, Curry and Rib eye with blue cheese sauce - again divine!
I could not fault anything. Even the price, though on the high end, was 110% justified.
I look forward to coming again.
M. R.
Lovely meal and will go again.. but considering it was relatively quiet we could of been spread out across restaurant… all I had was like an abacus divider between tables ... I felt like I was sharing my meal & my table with the guy on table next to me... then food came out and the table next to us finished their lunch and left… thank god!(I like to enjoy my ribs!) and it turned into lovely lunch. We went steak skewer with chips and mushroom sauce and a half kilo pork ribs with salad side and a jacket potato side(beautiful but was not potato’s as menu said).
Could not fault those amazing ribs, meat skewer was pretty good but the ribs were the winner!!
D. F.
I was recommended the steak by the waitress. Was not disappointed. It was really nice and the place had a great feel to it. Would definitely recommend eating here if you like your meat.
D.
Went out for a dinner to celebrate friends returning home . And wow the food here was great . From extremely helpful staff that helped us move from the siting area in the main section to moving out front so our group could converse easier, to the service all night was perfect .
We had so many different dishes from ribs to salmon skewers and tasting plates.
not one complaints about the food except" Can we eat it all " . Ribs cooked perfect and fell off the bone, Fish skewer still full of juices .
deserts finished the night of . Great selections of wine, Tap beer and cocktail to be had .
Thanks for a great night
M. H.
Best ribs in Perth.
Tasting plate starter. Fantastic
P. F.
Food was good, one of the 2 tartares we ordered was too salty, but who made this lunch a 5 star experience was Silvia. Silvia has been extremely kind and polite and she has been a pleasure to deal with! Thanks Silvia for everything
C. C.
Very good venue for dining out in Perth and we'll worth the visit.
The entree of calamari was excellent but the bruschetta was very basic especially if you've eaten and made this dish the Italian way.
The main meals we had of the beef fillet were cooked perfectly and the taste was divine.
For the desert you could try the peppermint crisp tiramisu which is excellent and served as a generous portion.
V. V.
All the food we ordered was amazing! Prawns and pork belly very nice. Steaks cooked perfectly. The ambience of the restaurant is very pleasant. Would definitely come back
M. M.
Had a lovely dinner for two here. Entree- short rib croquettes- good- but not the best- 7/10. Main- Rump, mash and garlic sauce. Rump- 10/10 medium rare- tasty- bloody beautiful. Garlic sauce- good- 7/10- mash- ok 5/10. Dessert- 10/10- Cracker Creme Brûlée- amazing! Cocktails- good- but very pricey for what you get.
B.
Great experience with their 2 course express lunch offer.
We tried their Szechuan Calamari & Salmon Tartare as Entree
The Calamari was tender & nicely seasoned. Salmon tartare was a bit bland but after we asked for salt & pepper it was great.
For mains, we ordered the 250g Wagyu Rump & Portuguese Chicken Skewer.
The wagyu rump was tender & nicely cooked to the doness we asked for. Also, the chicken skewers were well marinated & char grilled to give it a good grill flavour.
The express lunch deal included 2 drinks so we had 2 glasses of house red wines & it complemented the food nicely as well.
We’d be back to try other dishes soon.
C. M.
As a second and third and forth try Meat and Wine co have gotten a lot better. The first time I came here I said I wouldn’t bother returning, but I’m glad I came back.
The tartare is to die for, and the mixed platter of ribs is now the reason my fiancé and I keep coming back.
The desserts are great too. Honestly do recommend coming for a set menu, like Valentine’s Day or New Year’s Eve ect. It’s great value, but if you do just come for dinner any evening you’ll be doing yourself a favour.
P. R.
Exceptional food and staff, even when packed tonight for Christmas dinners
V. U.
Had such a great dinner here, cocktails were great and food was delicious! The young waiter Nas made what was a good night, a great one.
Would definitely be going back again

I loved the building structure of the place. The restaurant has to be one of the best possible buildings. pleasant and quality place. A nice meat and wine restaurant where you will get your money's worth.
S. H.
The venue is amazing and what they have done with the space to bring new design and keep the grand ball room is stunning. The food is impeccable and really has a diverse menu to appeal to everyone.
They know how to cook a steak and if you want the best steaks in town then we def recommend this place. It is perfect for any special occasion and if you want to go more often they even have a lunch special menu which has meals in the 20's. So that is great.
As you can see from the images the food and space is really worth checking out. These guys are establish so they know what is going on. Be sure to check out the busy bar also for even just a drink. They have a happy hour also.
F. Y.
A lovely Birthday diner with my wife, courtesy of my daughter and husband. The ambience was old wordly. Seating was cosy and luxurious. We started with a Wagga and Gerrello tartar for me. This was rather good, (even the wife enjoyed some) while my wife had the squid
This was nice and tender and well seasoned.. Mains was Rump for me and snapper for the wife both were superbly cooked and good portions. Desert was a fondant served with hazelnut ice cream. It is worth going just for the dessert... fantastic.
Service was very good the wine dud justice to the meals. The staff were great.
One of the best meals for a long time.
Well worth a visit.

My wife and I were booked for dinner at 8.30pm as that was their only availability on Saturday 8th Jan . We were celebrating our wedding anniversary.
We arrived a little early at 8pm and they seated us in the area overlooking the kitchen . It was a little hot and noisy in this section . On my way to the toilets I discovered a beautiful open restored part of the building which I believe was the Palace Hotel.
I asked to be moved to this section and the staff were very obliging.
We orderd drinks, Pork ribs, Steak, Salad and it arrived very quickly . The food was amazing. and the young waitess was very professional and friendly checking in with us throughout our meal.
The restraunt quickly fillled up by 9pm.
I would highly recommend this restraunt for a small group or with that special friend or partner.
🙏🙏🙏

Absolutely First Class! The four of us decided to sit at one of the long bar tables instead of one of the booths and glad we did! Got to see the amazing bar tenders and floor staff in action who are so well trained and know their job down to a tee! Wow! Everything we had was 5/5...Tasting Plate, 300g fillet, New Yorker, 350g Rib Eye and the Barramundi & Mussels. We enjoyed our visit so much we are back again next Saturday night and this time will leave room for desert!
t.
Service was excellent, as were the chef's skills. Dessert 9/10, entrees 8/10, Shorthorn "MB2+" filet steak 5/10 (chewy despite being cooked perfectly, $59 for 300g and chips). Overall the food was disappointing for a very expensive place ($126 for 2 without drinks), you can easily get better value within a block's walk. Worth trying if you have a 50% discount offer, but I would still avoid the steak. The skill is there but ingredient quality varies widely.
Y. A.
This place never disappoints! The menu always has something for everyone. Staff is very well versed on making recommendations that go with your choice of any meal.
G. H.
Great place for a beautifully cook steak!
Started with the squid which was so soft and beautifully cooked.
Steak - perfection. My wife had medium and i had medium rare. Beautifully pink and so delicious.
Both desserts... wonderful!
Definitely will be back and looking forward to it!!!
R. Y.
In the photos are Wagyu Steak and beef ribs. The steak was really good. I asked for it to be cooked medium and it was cooked to perfection. The beef ribs were a little bit chewy but they were not too bad. A friend ordered the pork ribs and they were better. The chips were awesome. The food came out quite quick. Great service. Overall we had a great night.
S. T.
Had very high expectations for this restaurant and all was going well until I found a small caterpillar/worm looking bug on a lettuce leaf in my salad. The only answer we received in regards to the situation was having the cheapest item on our bill taken off which was the $10 still water, and that “this happens sometimes”. Then we were wrongly charged for the two glasses of “complimentary” prosecco we were given for our anniversary, which we received no answer about when I pointed it out. Other than these upsetting issues, the service from a select few waitresses was exceptional and the rest of the meal was lovely.
G. B.
Was looking forward to going here but it was sadly underwhelming and overpriced. Fillet steak was chewy - we do better at home with eye fillet from Woolies at a quarter of the price. Lamb skewer was fine, but pretty unremarkable. The skewer gimmick didn't really add anything to what is essentially "chunks of lamb and a handful of chips". Drinks and service were fine.
M. M.
We only arrived here by way of a Xmas gift and what a gift it was ! We were offered a seafood 'Tasting Plate'. Suffice to say, I have never been a fan of calamari yet after this experience, I cannot wait to eat more of it! We had entrees of Portuguese Peri-Peri prawns and seared salmon then a mains tasting of skewered salmon and Szechuan Calamari. The house wine was crisp and delicious and the food was the freshest we have ever had dining out. The staff are unbeatable, the finest presentation representing hospitable natures and professionalism. We felt it only right to pay for our own desserts to top this menu off - spouse says the crème brûlée is the best he's ever tasted and I can't find the words to describe their Peppermint Crisp Tiramisu. Can't supply photos 'cause our faces are in the food shots but the only way to sample their wares is to visit the place. The ambience is excellent - buzzy and yet private, all at the same time. Go here. We can't wait to go back !
R. S.
I went with a friend on a Monday night. The waiter was very good, friendly and professional. I had the steak tagliata and the meat was seriously tough. I didn’t expect it to be the best cut, but I didn’t expect it to be really chewy either. For the prices I expected better.
N. M.
Celebrated hubby’s BDay there!
Best steak in Perth! Had the Wagyu ribeye which was on point! Beef Ribs were full of flavor!
Broccolini was very delicious and the Fondant was superb😍
L. S.
Amazing food & wonderful service! My husband and I came for our first wedding anniversary and were very impressed! We will definitely be back! :)
C. R.
Can’t complain with our lunch at this restaurant. We both had a nice beef tartare for starter, ribs and a medium rare steak for mains which cooked to perfection. The meat just melt in my mouth, one of the best steak that I’ve ever eaten. Creme brulee for dessert was just perfect.
Go for “Let Lunch” for 2 Courses or 3 Courses which come with wines or beer. Very good deal for such a beautiful meal. Will definitely come back again.
C. J.
After hearing a lot of positive buzz about the place, we decided to try it out for dinner.
After my first visit to Rockpool, I've avoided ordering steak at any other restaurant as none can compare.
Upon arrival the wait staff were pleasant and helpful. Service was quite good.
We ordered the Steak Tatare and the Octopus for starters (unfortunately they were out of oysters)
My wife had the New Yorker, while I ordered the Rump Cap (at the recommendation of the waitress). We also ordered a side of Mac & Cheese and Onion Rings.
We then finished off our dinner with the Grand Finale.
The starters and dessert was delicious. Really well done. My wife liked her steak, and I thought mine was nice. It was cooked well. I don't order sauces with a good quality steak, as I like the steak itself to shine. Unfortunately it was under seasoned. Tasted nice, but nothing to rave about. It was just okay. I expected more flavour, or tenderness. It wasn't bland, it wasn't great. It was just okay.
It was a pleasant evening at a nice restaurant. I'll probably be back (although it's not at the top of my list), but next time I'll try the ribs instead of a steak as Rockpool still takes the top spot for that!
N. F.
This is a large and beautifully furnished venue. The main waitress was the right amount of attentive and was friendly. The other waiststaff that helped serve during the night didn't seem to know what was going on, however. I had the 200g for $25 which is great value and was cooked perfectly. Some of the other steaks get quite pricey, but everyone at my table enjoyed their meal. Drinks are a bit overpriced. We were politely asked to move from the table after 2 hours, due to a later seating, so keep this in mind if you're wanting a longer dining session.
S. L.
Best Meat & Wine Co we have been to out of the cities we have visited. Loved everything.
Worth the price tag.
We ordered Mains- Mixed Ribs Platter, Chicken Breast, Steak.
Tasting plate and dessert platter to share plus too many cocktails and finished up with cognac
Great night with great people topped off with amazing food
N. R.
We had a 8:30 seating but received a message at 7:50 saying we could arrive earlier so we did. Upon being shown to our seat our lovely waitress introduced herself straight away.
We had the raspberry cocktail and watermelon cocktail to start and boy they were not light handed on the alcohol which is great. In fact the cocktails were so great I had to get a raspberry one for myself. We had the wagging steak and a filet with a side of mushroom sauce each, garlic bread and the Mac and cheese. WOW…. Just WOW!! The food was amazing. The steaks melted in our mouthed and the chips just had that perfect crunch. The Mac n cheese was creamy and just a perfect side and the garlic bread has to be the best I’ve ever had. To tie off our Meal my partner had the creme brûlée whilst I had the fondant. The fondant just melted in my mouth it was just outstanding and the creme brûlée was just as amazing. All in all this place was amazing. Our total came to $233, for 3 cocktails, 1 waygu steak and all the sides and desserts. Which we reasonable for the quality. Will 100% be back
E. N.
Lovely food and friendly service. Attention to detail was obviously very important to them. The pork ribs were particularly tasty and tender.
M. M.
We had a very lovely experience, great service and food. Haven’t had an experience like this anywhere in quite some time where food and service were both exceptional. Will definitely be back!
G. H.
Wow wow wow!!!!! Went here for lunch and by far the best meal i have eaten in Perth. The staff were fantastic and friendly. We had boerewors with sweet and sour capsicum and a salsa verde for an entree. Amazing taste and flavour. I had a shorthorn 150 day fillet for mains with a hot african chilli sauce with chips for mains and my wife had a hot poke bowl with salmon fermented chilli miso sesame soy ginger and garlic. Both dishes were superb. It was the best steak i have ever eaten. Then we had a malva pudding and a chocolate fondant. Every dish hit the mark and exeeded our expectations. The best three courses we have had in perth. Classy restaurant in the cbd and definately worth trying. Highly recommend to anyone. Best steak in perth great staff and an upmarket dining experience. Will be going back soon!

Amazing drinks, and decent food however, if you are on a table near a big group you can't hear yourself think, recommend being specific as to where you'd like to be seated, eg loud section out the back or quieter section near the front.
C. A.
Delicious Food and great atmosphere. Very attentive staff. A little pricey but you get what you pay for.

Great place for dinner for special occasion.✨
Make booking, would be hard trying to get a walk in seat.
Ribs and steak are great 👌🏼
Bit pricey though 💰
R. V.
Service (Nash) & food was amazing up until the $7 side of onion rings (don't think this is what Chef Ravi/Chef Evelyn wanted served....)
A. J.
Super easy online booking system. Professional and friendly staff. Great value lunch specials, the food was fantastic! My only gripe is that the beer tap list was a little disappointing. Will be adding to the rotation for lunch destinations!
J. M.
We have been several times before and this time we brought a friend and she loved it. As always staff are amazing and the food is really yummy. Cant wait for our next visit.
D. T.
My steak was okay, nothing special. It was too rubbery/chewy for my liking. Get your steak with mushroom sauce, that tasted real nice. The macaroni and cheese side is absolutely divine, get ittttt! The waitress was blasé and dispassionate, that was a tad off-putting. The interior is cute and fancy, nice atmosphere but wouldn't go back for the food.

The Meat & Wine Co is a famous steak restaurant that doesn’t need any introduction. Perth now has its Meat & Wine Co, situated at Perth’s historic Palace Hotel. It was also the place for Perth's oldest tavern. The restaurant is owned by Seagrass Boutique Hospitality Group which has more than twenty restaurants around Australia, such as Ribs & Burgers, and Hunter & Barrel.
We started our dinner with tasty entrees. Wagyu Tartare has a significant portion, although I wish it has more flavour to it. Everyone liked the Szechuan Calamari, the batter was really crispy and full of character.
The Meat & Wine Co has its own premium line of beef called Monte. Their mission is to bring the best paddock to plate experience for its customers. I chose Shorthorn 350g New Yorker steak to be cooked in medium rare, and I also asked for two sauces: Hot African Chilli and Portuguese. My steak was perfectly cooked, and I was delighted with it. Angus Shorthorn cattle are grain-fed for 150 days with marbling 2+ and grazed on selected farms throughout Australia.
If you love the spicy flavour, then Hot African Chilli is a must try, but if you're looking for more than just spicy taste, Portuguese sauce combines a bit of spiciness and tanginess. Both are also great with their excellent chips.
We also tried something else other than beef! The salmon was cooked in fermented chilli, miso, sesame, soy, scallions, ginger, and garlic. You can choose whether you want it to be served with chips (yay!) or salad. This dish is definitely better as a sharing dish. Some people and I thought that it would be quite tedious for one person to eat the generous portion of salmon.
Our dessert platter is called the Grand Finale, with a serving suggestion of 3-5 people. It's a selection of Meat & Wine Co individual desserts: Chocolate & Hazelnut Fondant, Creme Brulee, Tiramisu, and Pineapple Pavlova. When in doubt, go with Choc & Hazelnut fondant, can't go wrong with chocolate! My favourite was the refreshing Pineapple Pavlova that comes with caramelised berries and passionfruit coulis.
The Meat & Wine Co has a couple of private rooms and a whisky room. As you enter the restaurant, you will see a private room on your right-hand side, a bar, and some seatings. If you turn right, there's a vast and opulent whisky room with beautiful interiors. Look up and check the beautiful ceilings while you're there. I wish I could see what used to be considered the most elegant hotel in the southern hemisphere.
I can't wait to go back and try other dishes such as Mac & Cheese with panko and Monterey Jack cheese, and the Shorthorn fillet. The price of steak starts from $29 for 200g Monte Rump Eye, but most are in between $39-$50. Wine & Co is a great place to have after work drinks and dinner and can be conveniently reached using public transport.

Good place for a steak. Gets busy in the evenings so booking advised. Steaks are good with a lot of flavour; cooked in a signature sauce.
Avoid the onion rings as they are awful, hard and little flavour. Not overly talkative staff but pleasant and polite service.

6 of us dined on new years day. Beef ribs and wagyu steak was fabulous. Ranz our waitstaff was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He also speaks Indonesian which made explanation easier to our guest we had with us. Nice ambiance and decor. The only pain is finding parking.
S. K.
Atmosphere: Wonderful! I came with a huge groups of colleagues as shown in the picture, we are seated at the front part of the restaurant with huge feature partition with giantatic abacus. However, they do have a cooler section where most of you will like it too if you have smaller group of 4 or 6, featured in the pictures with sofa seats and high ceiling and round lights, looking ALL classy!
Food: Yummy!! Yes, they do so well with Lamb, Ribeye (medium-rare), surprisingly with Salmon (sorry picture in boomerang, not available here)too! Portion is huge for us Singaporeans. But it's a good generous portions for everyone. Worth the trip coming.
**Definitely a MUST TRY coming to Perth city centre!

Beautiful restaurant, good service and satisfying food. Definitely a place for carnivores. Dont expect too many South-African drinks or deserts (apart from Don Pedro) on the menu, the focus is mainly on meat.
T. T. C. -.
Heritage style decor in the inside dining area. The steaks and ribs were delicious and well cooked. Service was slow as the place was really busy. The chips are really good too.
K. G.
Delicious food, nice atmosphere. Price is worth the quality you get and it is good for special occasions or a date night. Extensive wine menu.
K. K.
Great food and service. Loved the vibe and feel. Cocktails lovely and everything just tasted amazing. Would come back, recommend booking ahead. Good for small groups and couples.
M. P.
Fantastic food and service in a beautiful old building. Had the Wagyu rump steak which was cooked perfectly rare. We'll definitely be coming back.

Oh, meat, oh yeah .. biltong, wagu, eye fillet cooked just right mushroom sauce.... mmmm... oh wow this was all it was talked up to be.... taste buds happy, budget tested but fully rewarded.... they nailed it, all that we requested with solid knowledgeable service and great bevys to back the steaks... happy lady here!
J. T.
The main and the desert were excellent.we had the best time The waitress was excellent and service
R.
We had the beef and pork half rack ribs which were really good the beef ribs where the favourite out of the two. We also had the shorthorn fillet and ribeye they were perfectly good and we loved the char on it which gave a lovely flavour. The chips where sooo good really loved it. The sauces for the steaks can be a pass it was not that great didn’t really have much flavour to it. The truffle Mac and cheese was really good. Overall the food was really worth the price point and portions were pretty big definitely would come back. The staff were really friendly and gave good service.
A. L.
We really enjoy the steak with hot sauce - reminded us with hot sambal ;) But actually my personal favorite was the Salmon Skewer, it was nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked - came refreshing farm salad and my meal was perfect. Highly recommend
M. C. T.
Great steaks, great service. We came at a busy night, and the food came out a bit slow. The wagyu tartare entree was nice, the marbled rib eye with hot African Chilli sauce was tasty, and the creme brulee was a good finish to our meal. Also on offer was the wide range of wines and beers (both bottles and on taps). Will be back again!
S.
We have been to meat and wine co a few times within the past year, and every time we fall more in love with it.
The service is always flawless, never too much trouble, willing to accommodate your needs.
A few of our favourite dishes are
Bruschetta, chilli glazed pork belly, we get the rib eye steak with the veal vus or creamy mushroom! It’s all delicious, always consistently Cooked well.
And if you’re considering dessert, don’t! You’ll regret not getting the Chocolate & Hazelnut Fondant! The best!! Recently went for my 30th birthday and they even wrote a nice note for me! ☺️
Cocktails are also very good! Even made us some that weren’t on the menu (but well known!)
Thanks so much team, we’re just trying to find any excuse to come back again and again! 😂
T. P.
Came in for a quick lunch on Saturday with my family. We were in and out in under 1 hour. Great service. Would visit again!!
M. K.
Very friendly staff, great atmosphere and amazing food but only thing stopping giving a 5 star rating was the service. Staff were attentive when we first came in however after our dinner order was placed we did not see them again until dinner and then we ended up paying at the bar again to the lack of service. We will probably be back again and hopefully have service to match everything else.
L. G.
The food was delicious and presented very well. The customer service was also amazing and the restaurant was stunning I will definitely go back in the future.
W. L.
had a great dinner here last night. awesome venue, we had a really nice private dining room. fantastic service from Nick and other staff. food was good and actually very well priced, drinks somewhat less well priced. definitely a good option for a more fancy night out
D. L. I.
Definatelly a place to try.
Good selection of wines, but, definatelly try the pork ribs. Just take in consideration they are huge, even the half rack.
Also don't forget to choose the inside hall for booking the table: large hall, tall beautifull ceilings, spacious tables, plenty of space.
They provide a clean service and quick service.
Enjoy!
백.
The meat was chewy and delicious. The interior is unique and cosy. Waiter's respond was little late but it was fine.
P. V.
Excellent silver service, warm and intelligent staff, food is great, servings are larger than I expected, quality cocktails, wines and drinks.
Easily recommend this as one of the best spots to eat and drink in Perth.
P. I. F.
Take this from someone that has done the odd review; this is a place you'll love. Get on in here and order yourself a meal. We'll be back with the people that introduced us to this place. They are good people, with great food. I'm in.
J. T.
🥔Mash is a DREAM. I think about it frequently. Highlight of the night.
🍞Garlic bread is also delicious.
🍖Meat was a melt in the mouth delight.
Beautiful interior. Good vibes all around
P. S.
Lovely place amazing food and ambience and they are finally open also very friendly staff

The good were excellent. The meat were cooked perfectly. Like the sauce. The place is cosy and appealing. The price is reasonable when the taste of the food is good. The staff were organised when they taking the orders.

Great Food, Great Service from Naz.
The only Concern is that Staff were not aware (As far as I am aware) of the Time the Dry Aged Steak is Dry Aged and the Cost. I was informed that the Minimum is 500 grams, which I am happy with. I would of not known if I didn't ask "specific" questions, I would of had a "VERY" Large Shock when I received the Bill.
Due to asking the questions, the Bill was softened, due to me asking.
As well, the small Card with the Dry Aged Steak Information is Very Minimal
.All in All a Great Experience for my Birthday Dinner..
F. C.
Just what it says on the tin. Meat. And wine. Both excellent. The half rack of pork ribs were delicious, falling off the bone. And the Jim Barry Cabernet Sauvignon that accompanied them was devine.
Having visited Meat and Wine in Sydney many times, it's great to see the west coast chapter doing such a great job.
A. F.
Went their for dinner on Saturday evening and was really impressed with the great ambience and vibe. Service was super and the waitress was really perceptive without being in your face all the time. Fantastic wine list and super value....You are paying for quality here, and probably the best steak I have had since leaving South Africa. Me and my wife shared a 1.4kg Tomahawk including 3 sides for just $79, an absolute bargain!
S. N.
Wonderful venue and great service. We stopped for a dessert course and chose the grand finale choice of 4 desserts . We shared this with prosecco and rose
E. Y.
Great service and food! The atmosphere is lovely and if you're keen on steaks, this is the place to go!
E. B.
We received a Red Balloon vouchers for a 3 courses meal at the The Meat & Wine Co, the food was cooked perfectly and the staff were very attentive and helpful, we would definitely recommend and would be back there again.
S. K.
We went for lunch in a party of 4, and ordered from the Express Lunch menu. The service was fast, friendly, and professional. The meals were served quickly, three courses all of excellent quality, with some decent wine and beer included. Great value at $49 per person. The interior of the building is lovely old style architecture. It's in the centre of Perth so be aware that for lunch the parking will most likely be in a pay carpark 5 or 10 minutes walk away. We all enjoyed the generously sized meals very much.

Wow on a plate, magnificent building, and friendly staff.
Get the veal jus... best sauce I've *ever* had (but the others are also great).

As for the food absolutely awesome, Excellent, fantastic cooked just right and you won't away hungry.
I had the half BBQ pork rack and took some home in a doggy bag.
I highly recommend this place and I can't wait to go back.

Delicious food and really nice seating area.
We booked for noon Sunday food came to the table pretty quick. Entrees were really nice to.
The steak was cooked exactly as we chose.
Will definitely be back to try the dry aged menu.

Enjoyed it so much we're going to celebrate our wedding anniversary with the family there. Lovely venue, and the food was delicious.
S. N.
Everything is so tasty and delicious here, staff are friendly, but make sure you repeat your order before the waiter leaves especially if you're in a big group. We went here twice and both times they forgot to bring stuff we ordered. Including one main meal.
S. T.
They got beautiful decoration indeed! The place is posh and comfy! Good place for pass time with fnf! Food is not tooo good but its good!
E. L.
Food was fabulous, drinks great, service was a little slow, but all in all a very lovely dinner.
C. T.
The restaurant looks fantastic. They have put in a lot of work with the decor. The steak was ok. They are supposedly really good with steak and therefore i was a little underwhelmed. Portion sizes look small, but surprisingly very filling.
They have a lunch special package with two courses and a drink.
Service was ok....
S. L.
Have only been for the whisky bar, however the pricing and seating was fantastic.
Had some very nice scotches that I haven't been able to try due to pricing but with Islay whiskeys starting from $15 any scotch fan should pop in.
Make sure you ask for the whisky bar when you arrive to avoid being seated in the main bar.
J. B.
Love this place. Outstanding food and drinks here. Love the South African theme to the menu, and the food is so well done!
Try to get there at least once a year.
F. M.
Delicious food in a gorgeous building, my only suggestion is change the music, feel that pop music is not delivering the right ambience. The meal was the best I have enjoyed in a while.
S. L.
Poor air conditioning. Steak was good but, didn't like the onion rings/ fries. Some of the orders had to be reminded to be served.
M. 1.
Wow on a plate, magnificent building, and friendly staff.
Get the veal jus... best sauce I've *ever* had (but the others are also great).

Had the most amazing lunch today at MWCO to celebrate Father’s Day. My dad enjoyed every bit of the experience.
Food - 10/10 (the steak was cooked to perfection)
Wine- 10/10 (ordered the house wine and id say it was quite good for the price)
Service - 10/10 (the waitress was very cheerful and friendly! Always making sure we were happy with the food and drinks
The staff also went above and beyond to make Father’s Day so very special!
M. S.
Update. Our dining experiences at Meat and Wine Co are always first class and memorable. On our third visit we decided to compare similar meals with those of a restaurant at the Casino. M and W Co hands down the best and better value.... Second visit and decided to mix it up a bit by sharing 4 plates between 3. Highlight for moi were the pork ribs, but how do you compare them to melt in ones mouth rib eye done to perfection. We'll keep on coming back until we've exhausted the menu. Staff are very helpful, genuinely cheerful and professional. Kudos.
S. T.
Staffs are very friendly and helpful, love the ambience and they provide excellent food and dessert!
J. M.
OMG. The setting, the food and the service. Never hurts to have good looking wait staff. The Wagyu rump and the Sausages were amazeballs. And the fondant... Don't get me started. An absolute pleasure to dine here, only downfall is of course, parking and traffic in Perth City.
N. N.
Excellent service nothing was a problem for the staff very helpful, polite, friendly and happy.

10 out of 10 to your wait staff.
It's wonderful to see the old Palace Hotel in full swing again!
O. C.
Great experience with fantastic dishes and friendly staffs that make good recommendations. Make sure you make reservation well in advance.
J. F.
This place is amazing.
Great food and great wine selection... It's in the name.
Staff were very friendly and helpful but could have been a little more attentive, we waited quite a while to place our order.
Reasonable prices for the quality of the product.
Definitely worth trying and I will be back.
T. A.
Excellent service, thanks very much, you cooked that meal to flavours and perfection.
D. C.
Amazing lunch experience, food great, service incredible. Pretty awesome, it's hard to get such a flawless dining experience these days but they delivered and then some!
R. S.
Great steaks! Service was good and meals came out together and in good time. Atmosphere is great, we were there for a late lunch. I always eat at meat & wine Co in Sydney and Melbourne, but now I can do it in Perth.
E. L.
Really good food and great service and really nice atmosphere and very good place
P. C.
Great steak, great service. Definitely will go again next time we're back in Perth.
D.
Wagyu steak was to die for. Lamb shank was sooooo tender and delicious. Creme brulee was spot on. Loved the food! Friendly staff.
M. M.
Food came out pretty quick once we finished the prior dish. Cocktails weren't watered down. A tad bit noisy and close to other people eating, but overall really nice atmosphere staff were brilliant
A. H.
Nice meal, ok service, just expect a bit more for the $.
I'd go back and try again, it just didn't stand out as fine dining on this occasion.
A very different experience to the one on sth bank melbourne which i highly recomend if you are over that way.
C. B.
They really made our anniversary special, staff were so friendly and attentive and the food exceeded expectations. They wrote happy anniversary in chocolate on the plate when our dessert came out. Will cherish this wonderful memory forever. Can't wait to go back!
E. R.
Best steak and service.. we went here last night to celebrate our anniversary. Our server was amazing to point we actually left a tip which isn’t something we would normally do. We received free champagne to celebrate ☺️
M. J.
Very flash, food was good. Desert could be better but overall I would go back
E. H.
The steak was delicious. The thing that threw me off was the hair in the onionrings. Staff took care of it right away.
C. C.
Amazing food! Top service, very friendly staff who check on you every 5 mins. Will definitely come back
P. H.
Beautiful venue , hard working staff
Amazing cooked food ... not the place to go if you want a quiet dinner with friends . It's loud and noisy ....X but forgive that and enjoy
M. S.
Best steak in Perth hands down! The wagyu rump was cooked to perfection,
A. K.
food was really good
i hope next time there is no little bugs flying around
was super annoying
S. D.
Great food and super ultra thoughtful staff! We really had a wow experience from the wait staff!
V. C.
Great steaks and attentive service. Visited twice during my week long stay.
P. f. D.
Outstanding. We all had a fantastic time at a friends 50th here and could not fault the service and quality of food. We will be back for sure, and I’m already craving another steak with some paired wines. Thanks for a great experience
S. A.
A new place in Perth, so as we live in the city we thought we'd wander in for a casual drink. Nice atmosphere and pleasant staff (and lots of them) - but the person doing the pricing must think we're still in boom times (or trying to cover the costs over the over-staffing).
Only a small range of beers on tap, and all $13 for a pint. Also $13 for a standard glass of wine. Not a great start.
Decided to try a few snacks as we were peckish. Chips were awesome, although they don't come with any dipping sauce (????), so we ordered the aioli which cost an extra $3 for a very small bowl. Then our $11 worth of bruschetta arrived (a single piece - see picture below).
Guys, you only get one go at a first impression - and this wasn't a good one for us! This is no longer the 'boomtime Perth' of the 2000s!
C. K.
Great steaks, had a normal one and then tried the wagyu. Expensive but was worth it. The south African chili sauce is so good too. Waiters were very nice and helpful also.
C.
I went here for my birthday and it was an OK experience. The environment was clean, nice and not overly loud (5/5). Whilst the steak was nice but got a bit chewy, it wasn’t delivered medium as suggested by the waitress (Luckily, my partner and I don’t mind medium rare), the entrees and sides however were nice (3/5). My biggest problem was the service. Please keep in mind, whilst it will sound like I am nit picking, given how much we paid for the meal (close to $300) I expected a lot better. When my partner and I arrived, there was 1 other couple in the room who had received their food. It took close to 15minutes for someone to approach to take our meal order even though there were approx 8 people behind the counter happily chatting amongst each other and in 2 cases, on their mobile phones even though we had our menus closed and I feel we clearly looked like we were ready to order. I also would have expected at least at some stage during that 15 minutes that someone would have came over and enquired if we needed any assistance with the menu etc. I had to pull a waiter over to ask about the aged steak and he didn’t really give me much information on it other than he “thought” it was rib eye, then wasn’t sure and then was confident it was rib eye. Overall through out the night the staff seemed to be more interested in chatting with each other rather than being attentive to the people in the room. When the entries/steaks arrived, no one asked if we wanted any pepper or salt, leaving me to ask for some (1/5). In terms of value for money, given other locations I’ve eaten at I can’t say I feel the $86 price tag for the steak and handful of chips was value for money (2/5). On the bright side though, the single mocktail and cocktail which were ordered were very nice. Over all, combining the scores and dividing by 4 gives a score of 2.75 but ill round it to 3.
S. N.
First class venue and dining experience. Staff were extremely attentive.
Food was gorgeous.
F. C.
Good choice if you like meat and wine! Wine selection offers many good choices. Also a nice selection of whiskey. Good location in an older building downtown Perth. Walked from our hotel. Nice decor with nod to former occupant of building, a bank. We had bruschetta and the fried cheese with rocket and pepper sauce (husband liked the pepper base); cheese little overcooked. Both had steaks - Angus filet and bone-in ribeye - cooked per our requests. Mashed potatoes quite good and a large portion. Vegetables might have been good addition to plate without being an added side dish. The iceberg lettuce wedge was quite large and could have been a meal in itself. Pavlova for desert was quite good and husband had a whiskey flight, nicely presented. Service little slow. Tables near kitchen bit close together. Perhaps kitchen should not be an open kitchen - as one of us is in the food industry and we have a well equipped kitchen - it took away from the more on the high-end restaurant experience to see large bottles of spices and ingredients we buy at Metro or Sam's Club sitting on the shelf. I would have thought more of what they cooked with was fresh. Also, large tubs of labelled ingredients on back shelves and boxes of well-known pasta brand stacked alongside takes away from the ambience. At the very least, put spices, etc., in matching glass containers. We had wine by the glass with dinner which was excellent, but would have been nice to have had it poured from the respective bottles at table.
C. K.
Came to the meat and wine co for lunch with some colleagues. Not only was their express lunch excellent value the steak was by far the best I have had in Perth. Will definitely return and recommend.
M. H.
Great restaurant set in a beautiful victorian? setting. My medium rare new york strip was done to perfection which is something that i have come to expect from The Meat & Wine Co.franchise.
j. w.
Faultless service, incredible food and a lovely atmosphere. The restaurant manager; Hayley went above and beyond to ensure our meals and experience were perfect. Can’t recommend Meat & Wine Co highly enough.
B. F.
Had the Wagu Rump. For $50, having the steak cooked consistently is a must. Regretfully, the steak in this case was chewy and hard to swallow the further down I got. I’m not sure why. My dinner companions had the burger and the lamb shoulder and if we were to come back I think i would try something else.
D. L.
I had my 30th birthday dinner at The Meat & Wine Co Perth, I shared the experience with all of my family, approximately 15-18 of us. Every part of our experience was absolutely top shelf, the service was professional and friendly, every single dish that was served on the table received complements and to this day my whole family still regards it as the best family dinner we have ever had. Can not rate this venue highly enough, if you haven't dined here you are seriously missing out. Highly recommend the steak tartare, salmon skewer and pretty much any cut of meat they serve. Thank you
S. T.
Meals were delicious and great service. Lovely venue.
S. O.
Consistently excellent - my go-to for client and work lunches!
K. S.
Staff were friendly and professional, they gave great service. I thought there were lots of great menu choices and really enjoyed my meal and drink. The venue is also really nice!
c. j.
Service was excellent. Food was good. Although I wasn’t happy with the fillet. It tasted dry (cooked medium rare) even though I covered it with mushroom sauce. Hubby ordered a half rack of beef ribs. They were delicious. Dessert was amazing! Definitely recommend the chocolate fondant.
P.
Excellent staff - really! And beautiful food.
Would't hurt to still have a bit of salad when you order meat + fries. Even a small one for presentation and balance.
P. B.
We went with our kids on the weekend (May 2021) and used a Red Balloon voucher. We could not of been more impressed with the food or service. The ambiance was great and the food and wine were 5 Stars. The staff were both friendly and helpful and we will definitely go again.

I would like to express my gratitude for the service your staff (JANNA) offered on 11th July when I visited your restaurant along with my husband to celebrate my birthday.
JANNA have definitely won me as one of your permanent customers and I would love to recommend your restaurant to my acquaintances.
The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very soothing and relaxing. Beautiful interior and wonderful and accurately placed lighting system - neither too bright nor too dim make this place a perfect spot for celebrations.
The taste of the food was just out of the world. We had almost everything on the menu recommended by JANNA and I love it . I’ve to agreed with her, the Szechuan Calamari is probably the best in the city .
I’ve to admit , it’s hard to see a Good Customer Service now days even in a High posh restaurants, and this is so disappointing and it’s bad for the company reputation.
I always appreciate a good customer service and I believe how important are Customer reviews . Hope to see more JANNA in the future visit .

Really great steak & fab kid's menus burger too :-)
T.
Booked a 7:30 table, but we arrived way earlier than expected. The staff were wonderful, and offered to find us a table anyway. Love the food, the atmosphere is great. Definitely recommend group bookings.
C. W.
Food and service good, recommended if you haven't been
B. C.
Beautiful food and venue (love this ceiling). My steak was perfectly cooked and the truffle mac and cheese was sooo good!
M. D. (.
If you are after a premium steak 🥩 this is the place to go! Lovely venue with a great atmosphere. Staff were attentive and friendly, as well as being very helpful. The dining area is within a beautifully appointed old style building, with vaulted roof and golden embossed ceiling. Tables are private with plenty of seating options. Easy to get to location, bar or the front for more informal dining/eats and any type of drink you could want.
T. C.
Great service, great food, great cocktail suggestions. My wife's steak was undercooked based on what she asked for. There were also some bristles off a basting brush on the pork. Those complaints aside, I will definitely eat here again!
S.
Great food and amazing service. The dry aged steak and bbq relish is so good!
F. K.
My sister had a beef kabob and I had the best BBQ beef ribs EVER! We did indulge in their margaritas, though not strictly keto, were also excellent. The service was friendly and helpful, and though really busy for a Monday night, the acoustics were good. We didn't have any challenges hearing each other at the table.
S. C.
Great Meat Great Wine. Weird rooms with channel 7 on was a bit out of place and the reason why it has 5 stars. Trying to have a nice meal and Sonya Kruger on Ch7 cutting in and out. Great service though.
J. F.
The best ribs I have ever had!
Full rack of ribs was a challenge to eat but I enjoyed every minute of it.
S. C.
Food was delicious, great wine selection.
It didn't seem particularly busy, but service was noticeably slow. Having spoken to a few friends who'd been there previously, this may be a common occurrence though.
C. K.
I always enjoy dinning at Meeat and Wine Co. The boerewors is amazingly delicious. Some more gluten free options would be great especially when it comes to sauces as the only option available is the "African chilli". Staff and service is always great, hoping morw gluten free options will be added to the menu.
R. D.
Really good meat and great choice of wines. The sides are more or less standard, that‘s a bit disappointing. Service friendly.
A. H.
We visited here for fathers day and had a great meal. They were super busy so the service was a little slow however the food made up for it. We shared a tasing plate, that was absolutely delicious. I had salmon and it was perfectly cooked but there was so much of it I couldn't finish it. Hubby had steak and he said it was cooked to perfection, was extremely flavoursome and every mouthful was a joy.
R.
Tried the express lunch, absolutely superb! Amazing value for high quality food drive extremely well, great service and a lovely building. Can't see how anytime could fault the $49 price tag for 3 courses with a glad of lovely wine to boot. Very hard to go past the Wagyu steak which was sublime.
L. T.
The cocktails I tried tonight were top notch.
My fillet steak was cooked to perfection, deliciously seasoned, juicy & tender. Sides of brocolini & truffle mac-n'-cheese - very moreish.
The cremé Broulee didn't quite live up to it's described on the menu...where was the jam?
Over all, a very good meal in a comfortable environment with a pleasant aesthetic.
B. H.
Hard to say whether the food or the service is better at this place! Top tier.
K. W.
Lovely restaurant to attend. Couldn't fault interior and ambience - beautiful. Service was a bit slow, especially as they weren't busy. Food was delicious! Steak had a very nice basting. Truffle Mac and cheese was also great.
K. K.
Ribs were exquisite and atmosphere was lovely! I would recommend skipping the garlic bread as a starter but oysters was fresh and delicious.
r. c.
I enjoyed the experience in the restaurant. The presentation, food and service was fine. However there was a problem with my order.
C.
Dropped through here for a wine on the go, is much bigger than I thought! Was packed for a Saturday early afternoon, great atmosphere, looks like fun. Sit down meals, fairly formal. Plan to revisit for a meal
a. r.
Great food in a big open restaurant. Food is 5 star but service is great with kids. Cannot recommend this place enough for fine dining but with children it's also very relaxing. The chefs did an outstanding job today and I'm already thinking when can we go again. If you haven't been, give it a go, you wont be disappointed.
S. C.
We went here for my husband's birthday for dinner. Loved how friendly and chatty the staff were, it made it a more relaxed but fun dining experience. Our waiter recommended the calamari which was probably the best I have ever had, super light and tender. I had the ribs platter and my husband had a steak with 6MB which was so juicy and tender. The meat was cooked to perfection. We also ordered the Mac n cheese which is to die for (but honestly how can you go wrong when you put truffles, cheese and pasta together?)
We will definitely be back!
D. M.
The steak was amazing! It was cooked exactly the way we wanted.
The service was also amazing! The young lady Christine was lovely and very professional, I highly recommend her service.
K. C.
Very generous portions and tasty wine. I quite liked the interior as well. I loved how my salmon steak was served on the skewer, service was very prompt and staff was super polite.
F.
Food was alright. Place was nice and big but it could be why it was a little difficult to get service.
C. S.
Great pork belly entree. Nice Barossa Shiraz. Great steak with nice chips and generous serving of broccoli. Average service. Misleading information on the Web about price. The reality per head is not under $40, but over $100, which I found very disappointing. The value of the meal was worth more than $40, but definitely not $100.
J. Y.
Excellent date night location. Inside is amazing, I believe it was an old bank branch and feels very grand. Dessert was really good as well which was awesome. Could not fault the service
C. M.
Absolutely superb food, wine, and especially service. The Steak was fantastic. Our Waitress, Chloe at the Perth CBD location, was so knowledgeable and attentive, without being over-bearing - the perfect balance. Will definitely be back. Already booking our next dinner.
m. m.
New York longhorn cut was tasty option, mushroom sauce was nice and creamy.

Always had a great time with Meat Wine and Co Melbourne. And the Black Angus always impressed me.
Been here twice the one in Perth. the first one i came here, when it's not busy they can cooked the steak perfectly and everything was quite impressive. Mac and Cheese truffle was da bomb.
Then recommended to all my friends. And celebrating birthday here. On weekend. Was so busy. And we ordered Medium Rare Wagyu comes with Rare Wagyu which is we're very dissapointed cause it's not on our expectation. Ordered Appetizer plater and we don't like it most of it. So we couldn't finish it. Not sure if we wanna come back for another shot.
But definitely will come back once I visit Melbourne next.
J. “. M.
Oh my god, what a meal...loved every mouthful. Can't wait to head back. Highly recommend.
R. B.
We’ve had a few friends rave about this place (albeit about the ribs) so thought we’d see what all the hype was about! The pork belly was amazing, but the boerewors was really dry and almost seemed processed - not juicy and well seasoned as you’d expect from decent boerewors. I had the rib eye and don’t think the quality of the meat was at all there. The service was pretty average too, left feeling like a number as the waitress moved through the motions - didn’t even follow through with bringing water to our table and basically tossed the receipt on the table in disgust that I hadn’t tipped her.
The ribs did look good so perhaps there’s the specialty lies, but the steak was really underwhelming.
S. S.
Fantastic restaurant. The food is always great. Service is amazing.
M. M.
Steak was on point. Simple sides with chips. Would recommend for a good range of melt in your mouth steak.
M. M.
today after running out of excuses why we shouldn't go we went to MWC for lunch. I'd read the reviews heard other's talk about it but thought here we go again. Another steak joint that cant possibly be that good. Well I am extremely pleased to say I WAS WRONG. Entree pork belly fatty sticky melt in your mouth tender. Husband ordered squid and I'm sorry I didn't. I have never eaten squid as tender or as tasty before and I do mean tender. Next time I will order the squid as a main size - yes it is rreally THAT GOOD. I ordered 1/2 rack beef ribs very generous serve enough for 2 really. No knife required tender and full of flavour. Husband had steak and guess what it was cooked as ordered, tender and full of flavour.
We ordered onion rings which were ridiculously yum and mac & cheese with hint of truffle again a true delight. No room for dessert maybe next time. The chefs did an outstanding job today and I'm already thinking when can we go again. If you haven't been, give it a go, you wont be disappointed.

Food and service was excellent had the 3 course lunch plenty of different options to choose from will definitely be back
R. B.
Great meals and excellent mid week special.
R. L.
Great service, nice selection of food and drink, food was perfectly cooked and the flavours were amazing. Been here twice now and this is absolutely the best steak I've ever had!
Edit: been back a couple of times now, once for anniversary and seems like it's gone downhill a bit, food was no where near as good, bit disappointing, loses a star.
R. M.
Lovely building with lovely service staff. Unfortunately the rest, including the meal was just OK. Had heard good things and was looking forward to having a steak here. Unfortunately it was very bland and not an enjoyable steak at all. Rather pricey for a pub grub steak.
Boerewors was bland and lacking in flavour- probably one of the wurst (pun intended) sausages I have ever had.
Overall the food was just ok, not bad but definitely not something you would recommend to a friend.
a. c.
Had some of the best ribs ever. Great food and service indeed
A. D.
Experience was lovely, I loved the warmth of the ambience the restaurant gave. Food was above average, yet wasn't anything extraordinary to make me return. Food and wine knowledge from wait staff was great, and very pleased with their recommendations and suggestions. However, I did not appreciate having three different wait staff (within minutes of each other) asking whether I was ready to order more drinks. I would much prefer if it was only one (maybe two) wait staff taking care of my table, rather than having an intimate dinner experience interrupted continuously by numerous staff members asking the one question. That is my suggestion.
Staff are great, but the service was too over-the-top- and not in a good way.
I felt the wine list (by the glass) not very exciting. I was not impressed with the dessert menu; I am a lover of desserts and sweets yet nothing caught my eye. Disappointed that I didn't feel a positive overwhelment from the menus.
The restaurant is worth the visit but do not expect too much if you are dining for a special occasion. The atmosphere gives off a romantic vibe but was more of a casual dine with the quality and range food.
C.
When Meat & Wine Co first opened in Perth the food was excellent but the service was (being kind) average. I'm very happy to say that now the service is on par with the food -- both are now excellent. It's easy to give them 5-stars.
G. R.
Loved the meal. And well served by Naz. Such a lovely man
M. M.
Delicious food! There were three of us so we ordered the mixed entree tasting plate. I can't handle any heat so I couldn't manage the squid but everything else was succulent. For the main we ordered the mixed plate - with lamb, pork and beef. The meat just fell off the bones. It was the perfect size for three. We had mash potatoes as a side.
Staff were amazing - there when we needed them but not hovering. Highly recommended.
R. P.
Nice vibe and food here
Definitely next level service in Perth CBD
N. S.
Food and staff were amazing definitely will go back again 😊
B. T.
First visit bought a Red Balloon voucher for set lunch menu. Absolutely fantastic, calamari and beef and chicken all wonderfully tender and succulent. Staff very attentive. I'll be back!!
S. G.
Excellent service from the team. Lovely dinner with colleagues.
J. C.
My Favourite place for Steak and Ribs. You can't go wrong with Steak here especially the Wagyu.
V. M.
The BEST meat I've eaten in Perth... AWESOME. Price: hight. Venue is really nice, perfect for remarkable or company events.
4 Stars instead of 5 because we were requested to leave at the agreed time (that's true, a little bit tight) but while leaving we realized some tables reserved... still were waiting for the clients to come... It is a little bit rude, finishing in a hurry while reservations haven't been occuped.
A. A.
Very busy restaurant. Quite pricey. Some of the dishes, such as the Waygu Rump Steak are worth the money though, others a bit less. Great selection of drinks and cocktails. The blue cheese sauce is highly recommended. However, there seems to be a recurrent problem of over-cooking the meat. We ordered the fillet and the Rump Steak rare, the fillet came out as ordered, the Rump Steak was more medium-rare to medium, which is a bit disappointing, given this is a meat restaurant and the prices they charge. It was still yum, so not a big deal, but given the final bill, this "cost" the 5th start in this review. Staff is very friendly.
L. R.
Absolutely bang on! From the staff who took reservation to the steak. Dined by myself but was treated as a welcome guest which doesn't always happen at upper market restaurants. Steak was cooked to perfection, went with the guide from the waiter/chef suggesting medium oppose to medium rare due to the marbling. Great extensive wine list.
Looking forward to going back
A. P.
Beautiful food. Great service. Will be back
R. W.
The steaks are all of excellent quality and taste - I especially liked the grain-fed ribeye. The wine list is also very good with a range of quality wines. They are on the expensive side, but all of a better quality than you'd normally find. The service was also very good, despite the restaurant being quite busy. If you're in Perth and after a good steak - the Meat and Wine Company is the place to go.
T. a.
What a great place we had vouchers which gave us a 3 course meal and boy it was great!!! Staff were so accomodating too fabulous ambience
S. H.
One word: CHARLES! What a credit he is to your team. We attended for a birthday meal yesterday and the service he provided was just flawless. The food was delicious too, but it was really the great service which elevated it above other quality eateries. Service of this calibre is very hard to find in Perth and you're fortunate to have such a marvellous ambassador.
M. L.
My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here after purchasing a 3 course dining experience from Red Balloon. We had an incredible evening with regards to both the food and our amazing server, Dahun. All of the dishes were cooked to perfection with our favourites being the Wagyu Tartare & the Chocolate and Hazelnut Fondant. The steak and chicken skewers also had amazing flavour and were cooked perfectly. Dahun was able to provide amazing service, kept our drinks topped up, provided valuable knowledge on the menu and gave us some tips for some bars to visit after we had finished. The venue looked amazing, and although they were very busy, we never felt forgotten and were still able to have easy conversation across the table. We're already planning our next date night back to try some more of the dishes.
J. H.
An amazing place the food & drinks were excellent. We had great Mohitos (Blood orange) & very tasty Lychee spritzers the food was also very good the Portuguese prawns were good ( only 3 prawns seemed a bit sad) & the special Mac & cheese with truffle was well worth it, the chilli glazed Pork belly was a personal fave.
Well worth a visit if you are looking for something a bit different.
D. S.
The food was sensational, cooked to perfection. The place itself is a fantastic throwback to the elegance of yesteryear with fine ornate touches and finishings. Highly recommended.
M. L.
Food was good, and value, but even the quick bites took a while to come out
A. B.
Went here for a work Xmas Lunch. It was a lovely restaurant nice seating. Food was gr8....but the best thing were the staff....they were wonderful especially the table waitresses 🥰❤❤❤thoroughly recommend and bet if you didn't go in a large group (always a challenge wherever u go) it wud be EVEN better😻💝💝💝
F. B.
absolutely amazing! Went to celebrate my birthday and our waitress Paola was so lovely, service was impeccable, recommended delicious food, and really went above and beyond. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening :)
D. G.
Fabulous 75th Birthday Lunch. Food was geat, service impeccable. Food attendant Asma is a delight and made our day. Highly recommended.
Y. S.
Beautiful rooms, amazing food and service!
S. E.
Friendly greeting then shown to our comfortable booth type table seating.
As expected, a fantastic wine list was available, which we chose a South African varity to match our meals and guests.
Entres and mains were a mix of seafood, beef, lamb and chicken, which were all excellent, the standout being the squid entre.
Highly recommend.
R. K.
Such a great place... Wonderful decor and atmosphere.. The food was 1st class and the service also.. Diana our waitress was so helpful and made our lunch a great birthday occasion
M. M.
The food and service was amazing can’t wait to come back!

Nice and juice meat, great service
J. H.
The booking and confirmation was a breeze. Finding the location, easy!
The welcome upon entering, lovely!
The environment was not what I was expecting of "The Meat and Wine Co", it seemed a step above your typical "pub" environment however it wasn't "hipster" enough to make the location a stand out.
The lighting was appropriate, seats and tables were comfortable and it was an environment that didn't feel over-crowded so that's a bonus!
The entreè options were a choice of 3 standard selections. The calamari was fairly standard, nothing special, the bruschetta was very nice and had excellent flavour.
The main course was also a selection of 3. The slowcooked ox-tail was extremely tender and use of the knife was unnecessary for this dish! The flavour was mild.
The filet was a good cut of meat, cooked very nicely and had a nice char out the exterior that gave it a nice bit of flavour.
The desert was lovely. Only 1 option so no problem.
A rich, but not too sweet chocolate cake with a gooey chocolate centre, topped with a scoop of fresh vanilla ice cream, was delightful! The warm gooey centre of the cake mixed with the ice cream to make a great combination!
Overall I would give the experience a 7/10. It was nice, I left feeling satisfied but not blown away. A decent meal that didn't leave you wanting more, or less.
A. D. R.
Excellent meat selection. I loved the service, friendly and extremely professional at the same time. Great atmosphere and the design is warm and welcoming. Oh, and more importantly, the kitchen is still open if you arrive after 9 pm. A perfectly cosy and trendy place for a meal after a show in the city.
A. W.
Brilliant steak, flavoursome sauce selection (African chilli was great), ideal amount of truffle flavour in the truffle Mac/cheese and samp, and great selection of wines. Worth trying the creme brûlée too!
R. D.
A wonderful and intimate experience with great food and impeccable service. It's not cheap but the meals are worth it. OMG the most amazing salad with iceberg lettuce and blue cheese. Looking for another special occasion so I can return.
S. G.
Meat and Wine Co. are on the mark as always. Fantastic food and a brilliant wine list! Impeccable service ensures we will be returning when possible. A night here is worth saving for.
A. C.
My third experience here, second in Perth. Again, the food and atmosphere were outstanding, however, our waitress was a bit indifferent to assisting us with the wine selection and even taking our orders. She didn't appear very knowledgeable with the wines. I had to go up to the bar to request a finger bowl as she never came up to us after food drop off to ask if everything was ok. We didnt tip for that reason. If she was more attentive then perhaps the whole experience would have been as my previous two which were outstanding.
C. H.
Spent a fantastic evening at the Meat & Wine Company with my partner tonight. We started off with a quiet drink at the bar, a subtle start to our evening, lemon, lime and bitters. We were shown to our table where we met Sarah. What a vibrant, charismatic young woman. So vastly knowledgeable about absolutely everything from the South African wine to the Wagyu rump. For starters we chose to share the Portuguese Prawns and the Szechuan Calamari, both with a tangy bite but absolutely decadent. Onto mains and non other than the Wagyu rump, each mouthful, tender, juicy and mouthwatering. Deliciously pink to perfection. We finished our meals off with a Dom Pedro, light, creamy and delectable, each sip more moorish than the previous. Thank you so very much to Laurie from Seagrass Boutique for your hospitality.
C. d. H.
Can't fault the food or the service. The meat was cooked to perfection and Sarah who served us knew the menu incredibly well. If you have a small appetite you may just want to have the meat with the additional items and see how you go for sides as they are large servings too. Dessert is also quite large too. Perfect for a romantic night.
N. B.
great food service was outstanding, worth a try
C. C.
Food was delicious, and was a lovely venue.. However when asked if we would like "water" we simply asked for still water.. then later on when I checked the receipt I realised we were charged $10 for a bottle of still water..
In future, customers should be told they're buying a $10 bottle of water and not simply being offered tap water which is a requirement as a licenced premises regardless..
R. L.
The cocktails were lovely 🍹 and the food was fabulous. That ceiling is amazing!!
S. A.
Lovely restaurant, waitresses very attentive, cooked to perfecting rib eye. fantastic mash. AMAZING entrees (pork belly, garlic bread, bruschetta). Good service. Would go again.
J. L.
Perfectly aged steak at a decent price. Beautiful ambience
D. H.
Nice ambience created and an eclectic mix of music plays. The unfortunate down side to Meat and Wine is the service within sections is lacking. The little things such as filling glasses (done once when seated, we were there for 2 hours) drink orders (done twice) need to be addressed.
Menu knowledge also needs to be enhanced as ordering meals/desserts with a wait time is fine, however, when told 15 minutes after the fact there would be a wait is a bit obsolete; staff need to be aware of waiting times.
Food is good, and portion sizes meet the price point.
S. Y.
We went for our 26th anniversary.
My first note is that the service was top notch. This, honestly boosts my ratings immediately in Perth but then the food was near perfect. Not having a huge appetite I pushed my plate aside half way through. Within a minute the management was at our table to be sure all was well!
We had the Wagyu Rib-eye which melted in your mouth and the 300g rib eye with mushroom sauce was amazing. The liquid dessert ( I chose double Bailey's and had with my meal)) was delicious. The onion rings are very thin and crispy so yummy. Our only "complaint" would be the garlic sauce my partner chose was more of a cream sauce than garlic but that really made no difference to how everything else was.
We noted there was a room for groups. They also have a very nice bar size. Great selection of wines.
Reservations highly recommend and definitely needed Thursday- Saturday. I'm unsure about the rest of the week by why risk missing out. Just give them a call.
V. K.
What a wonderful evening! Delicious, perfectly cooked generous meals, considerate and friendly staff and a beautiful venue. Could not fault a thing and will definitely return.
K. R.
Beautiful restaurant. Great food. Very professional and knowledgeable staff. Fav lamb ribs we had in Sydney sadly not on the menu here.
B. C.
Good wines. Pretty good food. Almost good service. Eftpos surcharge is ridiculous. Society has moved on from this.
L. H.
Had an amazing 200 gram eye fillet with a black garlic butter for a measly $25, I was extremely impressed with the steak for the money it was cooked (medium rear) to perfection.
Unfortunately and like everywhere else the price of alcohol is drastically overpriced. The service is very good. I would definitely recommend having lunch or dinner here.
B. A.
stunning place, good food, good service
a 10/10 place for meat lovers, and even better with 100/10 company
B. K.
Had a good steak meal here, and definitely a better choice than Hunter & Barrel for a steak meal.
However, its not cheap, and the service on my visit was a little off - so hence the 4 out of 5 stars. Despite it being almost empty, the food took some time to arrive, and the drinks orders were forgotten.
Still, we had a bargain discount of -50% on the food bill as there was a promotion running on TheFork app!
W. P.
I really recommend the best costumer service I've had I'm not sure but she from Brazil she is amazing and the Meat was awesome
N. A.
Went here for my birthday recently. Lovely service and the food was delicious! My husband and I were very satisfied. Will be going again, hopefully soon!
M. K.
On a Saturday night, we decided to go try Meat and wine in the CBD. When we decided to book online we got the 5:45 pm spot.
We were shown to our table which is by the window and it's a good spot. Our waitress was very friendly.
We ordered for entree the tasting plate, which was more than enough for 5 of us.
As for mains, we ordered a few selected dishes. We ordered skewers salmon, we ordered the shorthorn ribeye which was cooked just right. The steak melts in your mouth. We also ordered the pork ribs which is really tasty! The serving is really huge! All our mains come with a side of chip or salad for the option.
We ordered one side, we ordered the Farm Salad cos, cucumber, onion, radish, parsley, tomato vinaigrette is one of my favourite salad dishes for a long time.
When it comes time to order the dessert, we asked for the menu but it took us a while to decide what to have.
By the time we deiced to order, the manager told us that we have to give up our table as it's been 2 hours. So, unfortunately, we have to leave.
Our overall experience was pretty good until we have to leave before ordering dessert. The only suggestion is that the waitress could have told us that we should order dessert soon as our booking time is coming to the end.
I will return to have their ribs and steak again!
N. M.
Last night I sat in the beautiful ballroom of the Meat and Wine co.. we were served by the lovely Sarah her service was fantastic... it was like we were talking to an old friend... the food was amazing the pork belly was so tender... the 6+ meats we tried, were soooo tender... thank you for the lovely night. We had a laugh, with good company and amazing food...
m.
Great meals every time and Good, prompt service too! Nice decor, good seating arrangements and an ideal place for that special occasion, business lunch or even date night! Cocktails were lovely, nicely presented and dessert was delicious! Will be returning!
H. K.
Great for steak. Prices are high but the quality of beef is worth it.
K. T.
The lunch special was good value, I really enjoyed the ribs. Service was inconsistent. The guy who attended to my table was great and quick on his feet whereas the lady showed that she didn't want to be there and made a mistake with my order
P.
Not impressed with this place. Great location and setting. Ordered good vintage bottle of Red, it arrived but not anywhere near correct vintage, we accepted it and the excuse, but expected different price due 5 years different in Vintage. No discount offerred. Wont be in a hurry to go back.
E. T.
Perfectly cooked steak. friendly and attentive staff
A. F.
The food was delectable and outstanding, definitely worth the price. However the standout this evening was our waitress Paola, the customer service was extraordinary, she went above and beyond to make the dining experience for me and my partner incredible
R. M.
Amazing place to eat. The food was 5star and the service was impeccable. Our Waitress I think her name was Monica went above and beyond and even sang happy birthday with other staff to my Boyfriend per my request which was an amazing touch. Will defo be back. :)
M. C.
Attended Meat & Wine Co. for a business lunch last week. Great atmosphere and really enjoyed the meal. My one observation and recommendation would be to allocate the floor staff a section to manage. We had 3 different staff members approach us asking the same question within a 5 minute period and approx. 6/7 different staff members over the course of our meal which made it appear like a bit of a circus. Slight improvement with service will make this a future 5 star review.
N. N.
Was there for a Mother's day lunch.. amazing food, . wife loves the ambiance and superb service from the staff. Highly recommended. Will come back soon
G. L.
Just enjoyed a fabulous lunch. Quality of the food and service was top notch. Most tender rump steak I can remember having and cooked perfectly to order even though I went against the recommendation. Love it when the Chef listens to their customers . This will change Perth CBD dining for the better. Great fitout and atmosphere to go with it.
R.
Good for groups and appointed in a nice historic setting. Great wine selection and well cooked food. Vegans might want to give it a miss - Plus you need a job; it's not cheap but worth it to Treat Yoself
T. G.
Fabulous food, amazing staff. They went out of their way to add a personal touch for 3 birthdays we were celebrating.
G. M.
Lovely, cooked to perfecting rib eye. Delicious mash. AMAZING entrees (pork belly, garlic bread, bruschetta). Good service. Would go again.
D. C.
Excellent, quality food cooked perfectly in a stunning dining room. Small glitch in the order was resolved very well, demonstrates quality service.
J. F.
Amazing steak and prawn starter, excellent service.
Previously went to a different 'elite' steak restaurant and was left disappointed for the money you paid.
Meat and wine co, great value for quality of steak.
B. P.
We were given a voucher by an amazing couple who are our dear friends to dine at Meat and Wine Co. We were greeted upon arrival and ushered to our awaiting table. The hospitality and ambience were truly amazing, we dined here when it first opened with couple , who are truly amazing and close friends.
Our personal waitress Lauren, a BIG THANKYOU for explaining our set menu to us , made it easy for us to decide on the steak for mains, my husband and myself chose the Yorker steak Lauren recommended, we both asked for Medium Rare which was cooked to perfection and melted in our mouths, as of the wine and starters all dishes were to die for. As for the Chef/ cook, thankyou so much we will be ordering the same service again soon.
My husband and myself did not leave the restaurant on an empty stomach, we had to go for a walk along Elizabeth Quay before we embarked on our journey home.
Once again thankyou to all the staff and especially Lauren, we hope your recommendations win over a lot of customers and ourselves, when we dine with you again soon.
Kindest Regards
Belinda Printer

Had a fantastic meal and drinks here today, staff friendly and welcoming. Menu delicious especially calamari don't change a thing.
We will return soon.
J. W.
Food was sensational. Both my partner and I would go so far as to say it was the best steak we've ever had. Excellent service, trendy venue. A+
T. M.
Truly magnificent!
Staff are awesome, food is incredible and the dining room is beautifully decorated.
Highly recommended!
N. W.
Good atmosphere for a function or dinner. Friendly service and flavoursome food. A little pricey for the portion size otherwise a great place.
N. H.
Great steak and wine, really enjoyable. A little guidance from the waitstaff made a good meal even better. Continues to be great and I'll go back 😁
A. R.
The ribs were burnt. Service very slow. We have been waiting for drinks (wine and beer) for 20 mins. Tables were not cleaned on time. Waiter brought the dessert, but table was not cleaned after mains (the interval between mains and desserts was about 15 mins, it's enough to clean the dirty plates). The menu and design are very nice.

3 star quality in a 5 star venue
MEAT -tick, food = undeniably good, we had a chicken skewer over onion rings and a fillet steak/ribs combo, sauces were great (blue cheese was a win!) sides were great and couldn't fault the food at all!
WINE - Not so crash hot, we ordered off a lacking wine menu (exorbedent prices kept us to the lower when normally would splash out on a nice drop!) We ordered a bottle of cab sav that could be beaten by most WA wines in the same category...
Cocktails we ordered to start with weren't bad, but the "red beret" was like a lolly cocktail from crown Cassino, harsh, but expect more of a punch from an $16 cocktail, not a vodka cruiser in a glass of ice..
They really need to decide who they are catering to, loud 90's music kept us thinking about old times but questioning why we were hearing it in this calibre of restuarant, there was a whole other section at the other end of the restaurant which looked like it would suit our occasion better, much more quiet and relaxed - would've been nice for them to ask what our occasion was!
Service staff seemed stretched, our water wasn't filled, drinks took a long time to order/come out.
Bottom line, front house struggled and kitchen staff should be commended!
We spent $250 overall and feel we could've got a better experience at existing restaurants weve been to in Perth.. frustrating, and not the best way to 'enjoy' an anniversary dinner...
Wouldn't recommend for a fancy occasion.

Great food. Good service. Nice vibe.

The best steak in Perth. This places lives up to the expectation set in Melbourne and Sydney and is a perfect addition to the well set brand. Not only is there a large choice of drinks and meals but the setting in a heritage building and vibe is on point with an exquisite dining area and lounge setting in the back hallway with the large running bar. Great for any number of people large groups or small.

I'd been looking forward to this opening since my last visit to the one in Sydney where they told me it was happening in Perth
The pictures in the press of the restaurant all are taken in one side of this venue which looks amazing. Unfortunately we were seated in the less impressive front area which looks like most other places
We asked to move but we're told there wasn't any space in the other side.
That's ok I thought, I came for the food but will request a table in the other side next time.
I ordered the cured salmon to start, and it was lovely. I did think the truffle oil overpowered the delicate salmon, but that's an opinion. I had one last piece of salmon to eat and the salmon roe that should have been on my plate turned up. No apology, no "oh this should have come out with on your starter dish". Needless to say it wasn't eaten on its own, but would have been nice with the rest.
Same with the mains. I ordered the fillet with a half rack of ribs, peppercorn sauce and asked for English mustard on the side.
The chips were hot, the ribs luke warm at best, the sauce didn't arrive nor did the mustard. After a few minutes we asked where the rest of our order was and some American mustard eventually came out along with the sauce.
Partners half rack of ribs also luke warm, but chips red hot. Service was friendly but there seems to be a disconnect with the kitchen. The ribs were huge and very tasty, and the steak lovely. It just was let down by service issues and food heat consistency.
I didn't complain as the place was busy and I did enjoy what I had. It could be much better though but I'd put it down to teething problems as it's just opened I think.
I will be back, but that's based on experience of eating in the meat and wine co restaurants over east, not this visit sadly.
Come on meat and wine co, get it together and I'll be a regular!

I went there Friday 25 of April with 2 friends and... WOW! The waitress welcomed us from the first moment with a big smile and looked after us for the entire night with efficiency and professionality.
She recommended us Barossa baby Shiraz which was delicious, matching perfectly with the wagyu fillet we ordered. The sharing entree was pretty delicious too as well as the dessert.
We loved the location and I will definitely be back ASAP 😊
Thank you

The food was amazing and the service was excellent. We did a seafood experience package so the menu was predetermined, and it was definitely a good option. Building is also beautiful and puts the restaurant in a great setting. It's expensive but you'd expect that from this type of venue. I'd go back.

Good service, perfectly cooked steak, good selection of nice sides and the wine was not bad either. Price is worth the quality. Highly recommended.

Excellent experince, classy establishment with an upmarket feel. At the beginning of the evening there was a large loud crowd at the venue, eventually management asked them to leave at the expense of the resturant so all the other guests could enjoy their evening! Thanks for an Excellent night, incredible food and luxurious environment to relax in.

This place is a bit exxy but is a great place for a nice meal. It has several different areas within so can be a romantic meal, catch up with friends, or family dining. I recommend the ribs! Cocktails are delicious. And service very good.

Fantastic steaks, a good bottle of red and outstanding professional service made for a most memorable and enjoyable dining experience... We loved it.... We'll be back and thoroughly recommend visiting 😊

Exceptionally good! Good was fantastic, be sure to wear your fat pants for the full rack of ribs, they're huge and delicious! Highly recommend Meat and Wine Co.

Five star food with one star service. I booked a table for two, when we arrived they show us to our table. Moments later, they told us that they have given us a wrong table due to confusion and shown us to a take that was set up for 5 people. All because they have a big group coming which needed two adjoined tables, as the table next to our original table was empty.
Its really disappointing to be told it was a confusion and had to shift when you actually gone through and make the effort to book the table and your table is then given to people who showed up last minute and not book.
The table service staff was nice but fail to refill our water and took ages for two glasses of wine.
The food however can't be fault.

Express lunch menu was very tasty, tho would prefer to see a different cut of steak on offer from the main a la carte menu.

Nice place and fantastic atmosphere unfortunately I think they were busier than expected so the service was not as good. Drinks were slow and we had to remind them a couple of time as requests had been forgotten. I ordered a medium rare steak and got a well done steak as they mixed up our orders

Amazing steak and great service. Highly recommend the Rib-Eye on the bone ~ extremely worth it and no regrets. Asked for medium rare for the Tomahawk and steak and that’s what i got. Cozy dining space and nice atmosphere 🙌

Great meat , wine and dessert. Nice building, good atmosphere. Salad wasn't anything to write home about, but I guess that's not in the name.

Service impeccable and friendly.. the fillet steak succulent and melted in the mouth. Highly recommend for a great night out

Easily one of Perth’s best new restaurants! We have been looking forward to Meat & Wine coming to Perth for a long time (having been to the Sydney restaurants numerous times over the years) so we had high expectations. The service was impeccable, the restaurant itself is gorgeous and has a lovely relaxed feel to it, the food is delicious (the best of its kind that I’ve had in quite some time) and the all-round experience left us feeling more than satisfied. Can’t recommend this place highly enough and we’re all looking forward to returning in the near future.

Fantastic dinner. Great restaurant

Exceptional in every way!! Everything we ordered was perfection from the tender calamari, all dente vegetables, home made chips and like butter steaks....finally a place that can make sauces. To top this every wait staff was friendly, efficient and experienced..a rariety for Perth!! Thank you.

Overall the experience was good but disappointing.
My fiance and I emailed this resturant to confirm if there were gluten free options (since my fiance is celiac) to which they replied there were many items.
When we arrived the staff were plesant and the wait time was minimal and the feel of the resturant was quite nice.
When we went to order however we were told that most of the items were not gluten free. There was one entree and one side dish and out of all the mains the only options were the steaks without basting and with only one sauce.
We decided to stay and try the steak without basting and with one side minus onion as a preference. The steak was delicious the side however (a farm salad) still contained onion and a vinaigrette which we were told was not gluten free.
The experience was dissapointing but if you have no restrictions on what you can eat I am sure this would be a nice place to go to.

I was invited to their launch when they first opened and enjoyed both their steak (they rear their own cattle for the chain of restaurants) and desserts (especially the tiramisu!).
One month later, I made another reservation for lunch to celebrate my 30th early with my friends. Service was good and I got to try their ribs this time (there was actually meat but unfortunately was burnt in parts). Also had the 500g wagyu rump - cooked perfectly at medium. Tiramisu was delicious once again and they gave a complimentary creme brulee for my birthday.
We also received a complimentary tasting platter because they are currently running a promotion on Dimmi where groups of five and above receive the free platter. The only slight hiccup was the platter was included in the initial bill's price but it was quickly sorted out when we pointed it out.

Wonderful staff, food and venue for private function
C.
Fantastic restaurant absolutely amazing food. the taste and experience sums up the price fairly
D. S.
Greta food and steaks cooked to perfection and only of the highest quality. A bit noisy but still worth a visit

Had an executive dinner here on Melb Cup night. Food was 10/10 and the service was 9/10. My only gripe is that their drinks menu should be more local, have more craft beers and more local wines. I will be dining there again and the schezuan squid is the best ever.

Mitch is a great honest tradesman. We didn't request a quote he just went ahead and did what we wanted at a great price

Firstly, the service is impeccable - staff is down to earth, knowledgeable, helpful and will consult with the chefs when asked about produce.
Definitely stands out in Perth!
Food-wise, I'm a big fan of raw meat and their wagyu tartare did not disappoint!
Steaks are well prepared: cooked uniformly and at the requested doneness with a nice seat finish.
Ribeyes and ribs are well presented with trimmed bone.

Good steak and great wine. Smack in the CBD so handy for a business lunch.

Amazing service, and the food was truly excellent. Not the cheapest of establishments but had a nice atmosphere and the money is worth I quality.

Good meal with some issues with cooking time eg over cooked slow to serve. Over priced for portion sizes. Nice atmosphere.
S. Y.
Fabulous food - steaks to die for. Service great, ambience classy & elegant. Extensive wine list. A great experience all round.
F. R.
Its all right but not good enough. Some joints nearby do the same pricing for much better quality. To me it seems most of big price went on massive cost of maintenance ? I expected more, portions were relatively small too. (At least for me)

Amy is awesome. We booked on red balloon but did not do it right. Amy at the Meat and Wine sorted us out. She was awesome, other staff so friendly and helpful. Food is a huge winner.

Food, service and ambience was excellent. Thank you Monica and especially to Aurore for looking after us. Great night celebrating my Mum's birthday.

Have the Truffle Mac & cheese and you will not regret it 🤤🤤🤤

Very classic interior. Good vibe. And we tried the aged meat infused with thyme and honey. Cooked at medium rare. Just amazing!!!!! So worth it!!

Good service and nice atmosphere. I had the grass-fed rib eye on the bone, which was cooked to how I requested it and tasted good. Can't say it's my favourite, but certainly satisfied.

We had the lunch special, what a meal! Cooked to perfection, wine was fantastic and the service was amazing and Heyley made sure everything was perfect.

Lovely evening spent at The Meat & Wine Co. Wonderfully attentive staff and brilliant food. The Pork Belly was to die for. Highly recommended.

Lovely ambience good service Beef Ribs and Pork Belly where delicious Recommended if you are looking for something a bit nicer in the city where bar and grill options are shrinking.

Easy the best meal I have had in WA. Thoroughly enjoyed entree, mains, coctail and wine. Kept eating although I was full just because of the taste! Thx
