We enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Merrywell today. Nice and clean, pleasant staff, our food arrived quickly and was hot and delicious! (Well priced too!) The venue is quite pleasant with interesting decor. There are big screens playing music clips, mainly 80's music which we enjoyed. There is outdoor dining available and the casino is easily accessible too. All around, a great day out!

$36 may seem like a lot of money to pay for nachos ($23 base + $3 jalapenos + $3 sour cream + $7 guacamole), however, guac is included in the base price for the vegetarian option, and the serving size is massive, to share with at least one other person. The flavours are great. Only downside was they came got to the table room temperature.

We had nice beautiful dinner for my daughter's birthday, if you're looking for a venue to celebrate your special occasion The Merrywell probably one of the good option, big space, friendly and very helpful staff (Thank You David - the staff that helping me during my daughter's birthday). The food was also came all at the same time which is this is what I always wanted from a restaurant when it comes to a celebration, so other guest doesn't need to wait too long for their food to come. Really great service and attention to details 😊😊 For the price to be honest I was surprised as it's very affordable 😆😆 when the cashier told me the total amount, I was like did you missed some of my order? Can you checked it again?? LOL 😆😆 The children also enjoy their companion as they can play around near our table, really great night.

Place was absolutely packed on Thursday night. Mind you, it's almost the end of the year so the party goers were absolutely swinging. The mood was of festivity. However vibrant, lively and pleasant the place was, it couldnt lift up its food game. Food was average. Most were bland. The nachos was sweet, the bbq sauce overpowered the whole thing. The cheeseburger was not good. The fish tacos lacked punch. The fish was kind of bland, a bit more salsa would help the flavour. Pork Belly was probably the most decent one, altho still not the best. The cocktail - Whats Kraken - was interesting, an intriguing cocktail with octopus jelly. The cocktail was served in a broken glass (see pic). It could be a safety issue later on. Overall, its an alright place to go. If you are after the atmosphere then this is a place to go with friends. Mind you, you have to order at the food counter and for drinks you have to order separately at the bar. Food came quickly and service was alright.

We had to wait for a table but the text message system worked great so we were able to grab a drink at the bar for 15min and then go to our table. Service was impeccable- they even checked on us to see if we were ready for our mains after entrees. I had the Korean style fried chicken bao buns - YUM! The wagyu sangarita featured a cheaper cut of steak but it was cooked perfectly and very yummy. Definitely a great place to grab something to eat before a crown show or casino date night ❤️‍🔥 great job guys

Great for groups catching up for a drink and pub food. We had a long wait to order food. Some dishes were a hit and miss. The chicken in the Korean fried chicken buns were overcooked and tough with a thick bun. You can help yourself to water and share plates.

What can I say about The Merrywell at the Crown Casino Perth, food was spot on, table service was great. We visited the merrywell for some food while staying at the Crown Metropol, and I’m glad we did, it’s definitely worth visiting. The bar service was fast and the beer and cider was cold and refreshing, the food was great value you for money and very filling. The Burger was one of the better I’ve had cook medium the was I like it. The serving staff was super polite and wasn’t much waiting time at all. Overall it’s a good all round pub, and will definitely being go back when i visit the Crown Burswood.

Generous portion and delicious food. The cocktail is a bit pricey but that's what you pay in casino area. Love the wagyu sliders and their nachos. The other thing I like about The Merrywell is you don't need to make a reservation like other restaurants. And the wait is not too crazy

Dinner with friends. It's the usual ordering at the bar fanfare, but here you order at separate bars for drinks and food. If you watch them both you can time it right, if you don't, it will test your patience. The tables were a little slow to be cleaned which was a bit of a shame even in these COVID times. I ordered the Steak Frites, rare. It's a fairly low quality steak,very thin and at best medium rare. Fries are alright and prices aren't extortionate. Just feels like standard pub food, scaled up to serve as many people in as short a time as possible.

A gentleman by the name of John served me when I ordered food tonight. His customer service was through the roof. He made every order of the highest personal priority and never felt like he was just working, but rather connecting with the customers. He brings his all to his work, and brought my spirit up significantly. Give this guy a raise immediately! I don't like Crown normally because I'm not a gambler, but I would happily travel all this way just to get served by John again!

Rating is it's OK and that's because it has been and could be better. Food is certainly tasty and have always liked the jalapeno poppers with blue cheese dipping sauce. Not so good for you but tastes very good. Fish tacos and a favourite as well. However it would be great to have done more service staff, you really do wait quite a while to get a drink. 2 people behind the bar on a busy Thursday evening is not good enough for a place like Crown. Good place to catch up, a tasty now to eat and a child drink.

It's always a good pub feed whenever I come here. This time round of was after an afternoon walk along the river which was topped off with an amazing Angus beef burger! It wasn't too oily, very tasty and very filling.

Fantastic tasty lunch at the Merrywell before the Pricilla of the Desert musical (awesome show). I was pleasantly surprise how swiftly our meal arrived. Not one of my friends could fault the food, it was all delish. Service was great, bit of a hit and miss of friendliness with staff depending on who was serving, bar staff need to chill a bit and think about if they are working in hospitality you will be interacting obviously with the public. If you are not a people person find another career.

Went for a work christmas function. 2.30 -4.30pm. We had finger foods, sliders, burgers and a really nice cheeseboard. Had a private area indoors. Had plenty of space and staff were efficient. Good bar staff making nice cocktails. Only thing is it gets so busy on weekend evenings that waiting time for a drink at the bar was around 20 or so mins. Its just a really popular spot.

Grew up in the US and have struggled to find good spicy buffalo wings. I never go to the casino but my uncle was saying how great the wings were here, the best he'd had since being in Florida. I ordered a round and WOW. The blue cheese sauce was amazing and absolutely complimented the chicken. Piping hot and worth two orders each. Would love to see the price drop to $15 as over $20 is a bit pricey for the small amount of food as it is a starter.

Food was good. No table service. Pain when you are the one who has to get up and put order in. Staff very friendly and helpful. Parking is good. DON'T PARK IN THE MULTI STOREY CAR PARK CHARGED $40 FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS. was the only place I knew for disabled parking. Good access for the mobility impaired to the Marrywell.

Had a Christmas function there for 2 hours and due to the food being given out too late we were literally kicked out and about 80% of people didn't even half finish their meal. So even though food was good and atmosphere was great due to the food being served late no one finished their mea at alll. If your going to jam bookings in like that then food needs to be put out on time as so much food would have been thrown out. I know I left 75% of my steak still uneaten and was very disappointed.

Place was good once I got in. Getting in was difficult as I'm 41. They tried to tell me I was too drunk to get in, even though I was the driver with no drinks. My younger friends walked straight in with me waiting at the door. Bouncers clearly didn't want 40+ people in on a Friday night. I'm interested to see what other people in my situation have to say.

Staff were pleasant. Food was good but every table was reserved and place was empty and they would have lost business as people walked out. We asked if we could eat and they said yes but you only have 1½ hours to eat 😅 before next booking. Sure we can do that. In and out in under an hour.

Expect no table service which is problematic because it feels as if they tables aren't attended enough. We had the last party's dirty dishes on our table for 30 minutes after finding a seat. The food servings are generous but our onion rings came out slightly warm and the taste of the food was just standard.

If you're an American do yourself a favor and get the nachos. They use proper nacho cheese here. That disgusting chemical stuff from ballgames we get back home. Lol. The sweet nostalgia. Recommend getting just the tortilla chips with nacho cheese and jalepenos. The other stuff they put on it makes it a big heaping mound. Their guac is also top notch. Someone did some good research.

This place was an outstanding venue to watch the Connor McGregor UFC fight. We got tons of food, cold booze and a cosy atmosphere that wasn't overly crowded and unpleasant. The price point is reasonable and there were many people with families. Great venue! Highly recommended

Really night to be able to sit outside and enjoy a bite and a drink. The food was good however a little pricey. It was very busy for dinner, recommend booking to avoid disappointment. Order at the counter. They don't seem to do specials on particular nights like a lot of pubs do.

Quite good and very busy. We were fortunate to arrive bit early for dinner, otherwise very difficult to get a table. My mini burgers were juicy and tasty. Very casual dining. Popped in after the Charlie & the Chocolate Factory matinee as did many other families. Limited places to sit outside because the bulk of the tables had uncleared dishes on them. Restaurant definitely understaffed. We ordered Merrywell chips, bao buns, spicy chicken wings and nachos with pulled pork. Nachos & chicken wings were good but give the bao buns a big miss- way too bready and stodgy!

Service is quite awful, and you have up find your own table (which can be really difficult sometimes), but it's one of my favourite places for pub food so it doesn't seem so bad once you're biting into a mini wagyu slider or the crispy Merrywell potatoes with bacon aioli... And drinking those delicious 1L cocktail jugs.

Have been to The Merrywell many times and always had a great time. Whether visiting for a couple of drinks or a meal too, the service has always been great, even when the place is packed. There can be a queue for food at peak times, but the kitchen is very quick and we've always been amazed how quickly our food arrives. There's always some interesting things on the menu to try and it's great place for groups or individuals, with outdoor seating in a beer garden to enjoy the great sunny days Perth has to offer.

They are a mix between wedges and chips but look like the throwbacks and not worth $15! Service was very good. Offered water straight away and service staff thanked us for coming.

Went for a beer and a burger, my partner had pork ribbies and corn on the cob. The burger was medium as requested and well seasoned, the top of the bun was verging on dry but the bottom was the wettest piece of bread I have ever tried to eat. Imagine eating a sandwich in a swimming pool, that wet! Had to eat the burger with a knife and fork which made me look stuck up, leaving the 'moist bun' well alone. Ribbies were nice and smokey, corn was tasty.

Visited the Merrywell on a friday evening for a birthday meal in a party of 10. We're told over the phone they don't book tables so arrived at 530 and was lucky enough to find a setting for 10 by chance straight away. Meals must be prepaid at the order counter first. Our mains came VERY fast in less than 10 minutes. All meals were very nice, i had the Merrywell burger and was very happy 😊. The desserts ordered later in the night were slow. Had the Grand Paleta lava cake for dessert and it was delicious!!. Colouring pencils and pages provided for the children upon arrival. Highly recommended 👍

Do you book a table or not? Who knows. Frankly their policy on table booking has flipped numerous times over the years. I’m not sure they even know themselves. Anyway, the menus got more expensive and so have the drinks.

The Chicken Parmy was very dry and seemed overcooked and the burger patties seemed a little dry as well. French fries were plentiful with each serve but again slightly dry. Hopefully this is just a case of being a 'one-off' and we'd definitely go again.

Went there with a group booking. The entrees were amazing! However when it came to mains my order was taken incorrectly. I agreed to go along with the incorrect meal as the waitress explained it would take some time to make the correct order. It then took atleast 15 minutes for a made burger to return to the table. To make matters worse the patty was well done and dry despite supposedly being medium rare. The entrees being full of flavor made me excited for the rest of the meal. However the main meal failed to deliver. If you are looking for a pleasant atmosphere and good consistent food then I would not recommend

If you happen to around the area pop in for a meal and a drink. The food is always amazing and plenty of drinks to offer. Lunch time is not too busy with the evening starting to fill up as been attached to the casino there are lot of coming and goings. Outdoor area is a good size with the smoking section a good distance from tables so if you like to dine outside there won't be any issue. Inside there is good room around the tables so you don't feel cramped and not having to bump anyone. During the day you can hold a conversation across the table but as evening his the crowd and music get louder.

The men in the family attended the 'guy tea' which was being promoted for Movember. We sat in the sunken lounge are. We had to ask for the tables to be wiped down. This was done with a dish cloth and no sanitising agent. From placing an order to delivery of food was quick. What was supplied was delicious. Sadly there was too much. We were able to get a couple of take away containers so it wouldnt all go to waste. A tapas style 'guy tea' next time might be better. Too many meal type selections. We did say the decor needed to be updated. We had an enjoyable afternoon.

Can definitely recommend the spicy prawn lettuce cups, they were delicious, as were the smoked fish croquettes but I did not like the Korean bao buns. The sauce smothering the crispy fried coating of the chicken had made it soggy and was overly sweet and the chicken was the driest, hardest I've ever had and was inedible. Chicken does not need to be cooked until it's as dry as wood.

Good atmosphere - I loved the interior design and decor found throughout the venue. The venue itself is one of the larger pub/restaurants in Perth, so finding a seat is easier than some other competitors around. The Lemon Lime Bitters was poor value. $5.50 for a glass that wasn't very tall. You have to order the food and drinks yourself even though it is an upscale place (however I can understand this, due to the sheer size of the venue). You'd think that since this is the case, that the staff at the bar would be more friendly. But no - they were rude, in a rush to hurry us away (even though it wasn't even busy), and charged us incorrectly on two occasions in the one night. I wanted to give this place 3 and a half stars, however Google doesn't allow me to do that. The reason I gave it four stars is because the food is simply AMAZING! There were three of us and we each ordered a main, but shared. 1 barramundi a la Fresca, 1 Sirloin Steak and 1 El Paso BBQ burger. Every dish was cooked to perfection (texture and taste), and was portioned off nicely. This is some of the best food I've had in Perth! The dessert was also very close to the best. We shared the S'mores. The cookie was probably a bit too hard to cut with our spoons alone, but we managed. Overall: - Great venue - lacking in service - Excellent food

We were unable order and pay separately and have our meals on the same order number. We were given two numbers meaning our meals did not come out together. Most establishments will allow you to pay separately while keeping the one order number, so I see no reason why Merrywell can't do the same. We were informed they only cook steaks medium rare or well done (i wanted medium) which seems absolutely ridiculous considering to get from medium rare to well done at some point the steak will be medium. The mac n cheese was luke warm and the corn cob was cold. Overall we weren't thrilled with our dining experience however the meals were actually nice which redeemed Merrywell a little.
