I’ve dined here a handful of times, usually delicious food, especially for a GF option. Unfortunately this evening, I ordered 2 Chicken Pad Thai’s (GF) and received one with several prawns in it. Luckily, we do not have a seafood allergy but for anyone who does, please make sure they’re aware! This made me wonder what their cleaning practices are between cooking different meals and if there’s any care in controlling cross-contamination.

I've dined here several times. The service is always outstanding with very friendly and caring staff. The food is really good and there's a large variety of dishes. The stuffed chicken wings are excellent for starters, and the "crying tiger beef" is super; a nice chilli hit with loads of fresh coriander. The fish is good quality. I'm going back soon because there's other dishes I'd like to try. Fresh and delicious; Unique Thai is great!

By far the best Thai food in Perth! This is the only restaurant that I could never get bored of. I have never had a bad experience at Unique Thai and the food constantly maintains a high standard. Dishes I Recommend: Beef Salad (ask for extra spicy) Tamarind Fish Red Curry (Duck is their speciality) Pork Larb Coriander Chicken Pad Thai To top it off, the customer service is outstanding. The owner, Larry, always makes a point to come and greet all his customers. All the other staff are efficient and serve customers with a smile.

We dined on a Wed night. Service is more friendly than most. Great food, fresh and tasty. It must get very busy here on other nights as a good showing for a Wed night. Will be coming again.

Friday night the place was packed out which was a good sign. The service, atmosphere and especially the food did not disappoint. All superb. Staff could not be more helpful and courteous. Super friendly staff! Made you feel at home. Larry is the BO$$ - he came to our table and was awesome! We got the Entre sampler - all fried but still tasty! I had never had fish cakes before and they were really good! chu che fish curry - amazing, tender and flavourful And the pad Thai! So yum!! I’m allergic to prawns so they altered everything. Which makes me believe it’s all made fresh! Bottle shop right next door so it’s BYO. They stored our beer in the fridge and they gave us a stubbyholder . Also brought us seconds when we finished. Great all around :) very happy with this new local spot we’ve found (new for us) UPDATE: visited for the second time today and he did it again! The pangang fish curry and the jungle beef with coconut rice - AMAZING!

Unique Thai serves excellently cooked food and has a really nice, relaxing decor. It is quite a large restaurant which is great for space - you don't feel cramped together with the people around you. The staff are super friendly as well! I highly recommend trying this restaurant if you're looking for somewhere new. It's so good!

Very expensive for what you get. Portion size is small. Paid $17.90 for a vegetable stir fry with cashew nuts. The take away container was small. The vegetables were good and so was the sauce it came in, BUT $17.90 for a small container of vegetable stir fry as a take away is a rip off. Only went here as my usual was closed. So guy’s, tried for the first time and for the last time.

Our “local”. In my opinion, Larrys authentic Thai is easily the best Thai restaurant in the northern suburbs. Never had a bad experience and people that we have introduced to the place, regularly come back and introduce other groups of friends to the experience. 10/10. Unique Thai is absolutely fantastic. I have never taken the time to review anything before but this place is well worth the review. Every time we come here, Larry greets us by name and asks how he family is going - the kids refer to him as "Uncle Larry" and this sets the tone for a fantastic evening. The food is out of this world - I have never been able to go past the honey chicken, I always mean to try something else but can't run the risk of loosing out on the honey chicken. If you are out for a real memorable feast you can't go past UniqueThai.

Saw the great reviews so wanted to give it a try, but we were disappointed. We ordered for takeaway the money bags, satay, chicken Green Curry, Pad Thai & Coconut rice. Found the flavours to be nice, but not amazing & was disappointed with the lack of fragrance in the coconut rice & curry. It was also a tiny bit more expensive than our favourite thai place, but the pricing is pretty standard for Thai restaurants in Perth so not expensive as a whole. Service was great, the food took almost 30 minutes instead of the 15mins they told us, but they apologised for the delay

Read such good reviews about this place, we had to try it. It definitely lived up to it's rep. We got take away and the lady on the phone was very nice, no attitude at all! -curry puffs were yum! Thin crispy layer and all the good stuff inside. You get 4 in 1 serve. Couldn't fault them -green chicken curry also good although I found the coconut curry a tad too watery and salty -pad thai also good although I also found it salty. Comes with a slice of lemon and peanuts to cut thru the saltiness -coconut rice also yum! All in all not a bad meal. 15 min wait time for a Sat, not bad A bit on the expensive side (would normally expect these prices in northbridge or south perth) $47.90 for 2

Larry the owner is very accommodating and the food here is brilliant. For entree I recommend the moneybags or stuffed chicken wings, and for main it has to be the massaman curry. The duck dishes are not great though, don't get them.
