Great tasting burgers with lovely presentation. Can't go wrong with their classic Upperhand burger. Bubble tea is okay, but it's a nice addition to have with your meal. Has plenty of street parking outside.

Great atmosphere. Fantastic prices. Good friendly staff. Came here on a Wednesday, and Wednesday is $5 cheeseburgers. A smidge smaller than a regular burger, but juicy beef patty, cheese, pickles and tangy Upperhand sauce. Damn tasty. Sell Taiwanese style menu options too; had some Taiwanese fried chicken (TFC POPPERS) were delicious. The peeking duck loaded chips were tasty too. Huge vegetarian and vegan selections on offer too!! Have beers on tap, home lager, and biggie juice and a few others at decent prices. Also do bubble tea, and boozy variations of bubble tea that are decent too. Get here and try it.

Excellent burger that basks in a simplicity that can only be derived from complex experimentation, time, patience and pursuit of perfection. The patty is deliciously juicy, lightly pressed and housed in a superb bun (not the expected brioche - but easily as good). A sweet barbecue sauce to offset the saltiness of the bacon and Mexican cola to wash the lot into an ever expanding belly. Do yourself a favour.

This was our 2nd time coming and me and my girlfriend were really impressed with the food and coffee today. We had the Peking Duck pancakes and the Fried Chicken Pancakes. The food has got a lot of Taiwanese fusion flavours and the duck comes on a Taiwan style crispy pancake which we thought was a nice touch. Hope you guys stick around cause we will definitely be coming back to try everything else.

Now there's heaps of burger places in Perth, and most of them are pretty damn good. So the folk at Upperhand are a brave lot... but they pull it off. The cool thing is the menu, it's a fairly different menu to other burger joints, lots of vegetarian options, lots of other kind of meats, and some wacky but great sides. We had the fried chicken burger which was great. Huge piece of high quality chicken with a great slaw. Accompanying it was some deep fried tofu with some fantastic seasoning and sauce. Different but tasty. Kinda weird location, Swanbourne people do look at you funny if you aren't from there, but well worth it. We'll be back.

Great burgers, tasty and fresh, can handle food allergy requirements (dairy free) without any issues. Fantastic meat free options too. They have so many drink options including bubble tea. Super friendly staff with great service. Eating out with little ones is challenging but these guys really made things comfortable for us, thank you!

This place is... Weird What are you? A cafe? A pub/bar? A burger joint? An asian food takeaway? Had the double chilli burger (its American beef Chili, not spice chilli 😂), and id rate that. As for the fried chicken.... Uhhh... What the hells goin on there? More breading than chicken, and ive never known any taiwanese place to dump heaps of cinnamon on chicken. This place could do so well if they could just pick one thing to focus on... Dined at 5-6pm and there was a total of 3 customers.

Best described as hit and miss. Certainly experiencing teething issues in their new venue with super young staff and quite a varied menu. I think the prices need adjusting to the food you get too (the cabinet stuff is ridiculous, the menu is a bit more fair). Good burgers, and I love that they use potato buns! And the variety of food cultures is a lot of fun and so different to other places in Perth. No massive deal breakers but the slightly burnt pancakes with the barest of syrup drizzles meant for pancakes drier than the Gibson :/ The Peking duck loaded fries the previous night were far too sweet and rich, owing seemingly low effort sauce.

Great burgers and friendly service! I ordered the veggie satay burger and it was probably the best vegetarian burger I have ever had. The satay gave the burger an awesome asian flavour, paired with coriander and cucumber you cant go wrong. They also have a lovely courtyard outside which is a great addition to the whole experience. The main guy who served us was also super helpful, walking us through the menu and giving his preferences. Give this local burger place a try, you won't regret it.

Came here with the family for lunch. The burgers and meals are nice and good quality. There are quite a few other families around. Kids meals are available which is pretty standard burger +chips + fruit box. The only thing is the cafe atmosphere and design which is a bit odd and incongruent with a cafe in a family heavy suburb.

Despite being really excited to try Upperhand, consistency does not seem to be a thing here. I've ordered two different burgers on separate occasions, both times the bubble tea heavily outshined the burgers. I feel the burgers have no love put into them, the first time it was dry, sauce-less and fell apart, the second time it was drenched in so much sauce the bun gave up mid bite and fell to the ground like a wet pancake. I love the bubble tea and your chips are tasty but please, put more love into your burgers!!

Excellent brioche/potato bun burgers, fries, edgy pancakes and boba tea on point. When we ask for half sugar, we mean half sugar! None of this diabetes inducing nonsense. Solid coffee and they stock Mary St donuts. This is fast becoming our new favourite burger joint with its Fusion edge and honest meat alternatives. Price is great too, wallet friendly for portion size and quality fresh ingredients. Definitely will be back, you need to try the Peking duck pancakes, delicious meaty crisp duck in hoisin sauce, topped on Taiwanese style green onion roti prata. Highly recommended, don't hesitate on this one. The area is a bit fun to explore too, some nice local stores and butcher nearby, free parking. We loved the gift store nearby!

I have to say this is my favourite burger place. The upper hand burger, despite appearing to be small, is very filling and all of the burgers are reasonably priced. Very important for me is that I taste flavour, not oil or sogginess. I thought it was clever that the chips had the skin on and I love the chicken poppers! Can't wait to try the salt and pepper tofu! Well done team!

Decent pricing and food. However the receipt (I ordered from Ubereats) was confusing because I wanted to ensure that the food I was having reflected on the Ubereats. I gave it a 3 star due to the awesome chips, which are delicious, thats fine, but when i got the burger, I ordered for my grandma and myself each a gluten free burger, but I got confused on which ones were gf. I was thinking the white buns were fine but the brown soggy bun wasn't. I may not know a thing or two about burgers, but I'm good at spotting out if a bun is gluten free.

The boys are on the right track but you can tell that it's the boys doing the boys thing .. simple improvements like consistency and adding a paper towel to the bag with a big sloppy burger would make the 4star difference.. Otherwise I would go back to the place it's good vibes

Yummy burgers but a bit overpriced. For example an upper hand burger with beast upper is $18.90. I don’t think it’s 20 bucks worth but it’s pretty good.
