The mains were excellent , accompanied by a lively fresh little salad. We both enjoyed our choices. The DESERT was to die for!! Lemon plus... my one comment was that the waitress kept heavily placing the food and drinks on the table.. not quiet a slam but.. nice calm surroundings, soft conversation, bang!! really! ..in addition, when she picked up our plates and again the emptied desert bowl.. she didn't ask if we would like coffee... in fact we had to wave her down a few times to order... small things make a difference..but... Overall.... highly recommend...

This is a great restaurant. Had a great experience. Is a bit out of town but is easy to get to with plenty of parking. The staff are very professional but friendly and eager to help. The food is fantastic with lots of different options. If you are looking for a family friendly restaurant with good food and great atmosphere, this is the place to go. I will definitely be back.

I’ve been wanting to try Carmen’s for over 4 years now. Seriously did not disappoint!! From the lemon & lime bitters, to the best pasta I’ve ever had! But what really stole the show and we couldn’t stop talking about, was the lemon posset!! Literally the best dessert we’ve ever had! Everyone was extremely friendly and the place was beautiful.

First time attending and honestly one of the best meals me and my partner have had The Ragu is melt in your mouth and the homemade pasta just tops it off. Wow!! A hidden gem tucked away in Tamworth, welcome to Carmen's Restaurant located in the Stockmans Motel. Carmen's restaurant is definitely the place to go whether it's a treat for yourself or you and your partner or the kids as well, this is the place to come. Elegant staff, friendly, happy and such an inviting place. The food is exceptional and they cater for all. Highly recommend the restaurant and if you need somewhere to stay the Motel is 10/10 as well. Thank you to Carmen for your hospitality, warmth and friendly service. Lovey location just out of Tamworth, plenty of parking. This place has a great atmosphere the lighting is not to dark. Is great family restaurant with a play ground. The staff were friendly and the food was great had the informal 3 course meal. Shiralee was amazing waitress thanks for the good night and fixing up my order, it's was very nice thing to do.

I rarely leave reviews. The dessert was absolutely amazing. Panna cotta from here is a must try. Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, incredible value for money for what we got. Risotto was also excellent.

Carmens was beautiful! The food was sensational, the drinks were superb! My only complaint was that I ate so much there was no room left and I missed out on dessert! Not at all the fault of anyone but myself though, I must confess! The service was first class, the food was delectable and the fruit tingle cocktails were every bit as amazing as promised! We arrived at Carmen’s after a pretty awful day travelling - road closures, detours, hours added to our car ride and our 4 year old was over it (and so were we). We felt a little self conscious rocking up to a beautiful restaurant looking like we did but the staff welcomed us and helped us get our orders sorted - they were so lovely! We had amazing home made pasta and the greatest sticky date pudding and home made ice cream. Stumbling into this restaurant was the best part of our day!

Based on rave reviews we opted for take away from Carmen's (hoped to dine al fresco with our 2 senior Cavalier K C Spaniels but they were too busy) while based in Tamworth on our road trip. We had a very nice night at Carmens. Ordered a red wine and wandered in the garden while waiting for entrees. They were delicious. Then our mains. And a single desert to share. The alfresco on the verandah is the best place to be if the evening temperature is right. Carmen is a lovely host. Cannot fault our evening.

I went with two friends for lunch on a Sunday. The service was professional but a little slow (we were there for almost two hours for two courses). The capsicum and olive bruchetta was delicious. For mains we had the beef cheeks, the three cheese ravioli, and the gnocci entree. All were yummy, but a bit salty. Nice atmosphere and generally a nice experience.

Visited Carmen's Restaurant, Tamworth for a 60th birthday lunch. Quick, well timed service, nice spacious restaurant, didn't seem too noisy, even though they were busy. The chicken & bacon carbonara was tasty & tender but something in the sauce seemed a little over salted (another of our group said the same thing of the same dish, and another of our group said their different pasta dish was oversalted also so I'm not alone. Having said that, it was still enjoyable. My dad & stepmum said the pork belly was wonderfully moist & perfectly cooked, with the crackling just the right level of crispy without being too hard or chewy. All in all, would visit again.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Bruschetta was small but delicious. Main meals were not as big as we expected. Pollo con Arancia was tasty but had to dig through many small bones. Pork belly in the Maiale Croccante was delicious but the risotto that came with both meals was small and too wet for our liking. Overall, it was okay but I have eaten much beter Italian in the bigger cities.

The Tamworth View Club held their 49th birthday luncheon at this restaurant 20/9/2017 can not praise Carmen and her staff enough having 45 ladies in one booking was not an easy task. Everyone was seated and eating with an hour, the food was incredible, and so much of it. Some doggie bags were packed up for several ladies, Carmens staff went way above the normal, their politeness, speed in service, not one error in taking orders. Nothing was too much trouble restaurant was spotless, plenty of parking at door and easy access for ladies who use walkers Can not praise this restaurant enough. Thank you Carmen for making our birthday a day to remember

Wow!! Wonderful service and beautiful food. I had 2 Birthday lunches at Carmens and was so impressed with the 5 star service and food. They even popped a birthday candle on my dessert for me, which was a beautiful surprise. I can highly recommend Carmens.
