Best. Pizza. In. Sydney. I am a huge fan of Roman pizza and these guys nail it. Crunchy and structured, perfectly seasoned, wonderful choice of ingredients. Such a gem of a restaurant here in Surry hills! Love the trattoria style, loud and fun, bring the kids, order the whole menu, relax and let the wonderful staff treat you!

Great little spot in Surry Hills. The service was great, staff very friendly and attentive. I was a bit busy when we were there but our food came out quickly and the standard of service didn’t drop. Ordered the diavola pizza, never had one with honey drizzle before so wasn’t sure how it was going to be. But it was delicious!! The pasta dishes looked and smelt amazing! Will definitely be going back to try some of the other dishes.

Amazing italian food with fresh quality ingredients. You can tell each dish is made fresh to order with extra italian love. Left feeling so full I couldn't eat another bite. Highly recommend and would go back for all the dishes I ordered and possibly to try something new next time.

Funghi pizza was amazing - I loved the garlic through the sauce and mushroom chunks! The staff recommended the white ragu as the special and my boyfriend enjoyed this dish more. Don’t forget to ask for extra chilli oil and cheese, as the staff forgot to tell us but we overheard another table getting served. The cicerone spritz paired well with both dishes. Unfortunately, the tiramisu was a let down.. and tasted odd due to the off-ratio. But, I would recommend coming here for good atmosphere and food! The wait staff here are also super attentive which is a big plus 😊

I had such a great time at this restaurant, the staff were all so nice, the drinks were good and well sized and the food was fantastic. My friend and I were so pleasantly surprised by Cicerone, she had never heard of it and just picked it on a whim and I’m glad she did because the pasta we had was absolutely Devine. I would definitely check out Cicerone if you’re around the area, it does not disappoint!

Cute spot tucked away behind a lane it’s like a little secret! The arancini was the best I’ve had and the vodka & oxtail pastas were incredible. The tiramisu was outstanding!! The little bits of crunch inside were to die for and great service!

Fantastic Italian restaurant. Located just behind TEAMM8 shop in Bourke St. Food was delicious. The Rigoletto alla Vodka brought me memories back from Little Italy in NY. The staff is very friendly and kind. Perfect place for a quiet dinner with friends or a date.

Food amazing and good wines(best list in Sydney). Friendly staff and good atmosphere. The restaurant is a little gem in Surry Hill and represent the real street style of Rome but at the same time elegance. You can see the touch of the owners. Sydney needed a place like that. High recommend.

Such great food, probably my favourite Italian in Sydney! Every dish could not be faulted. The service was really good too, even though we had to wait a bit for our table they were very accommodating and even gave us a free plate of pasta when they forgot one of our dishes.

This little haunt on Bourke St used to be my favourite pizza place in Sydney (Maybe Frank) and I was bummed out that it had been replaced. So when I tell you I had high expectations for the place that took over, I mean I wanted it to be the best damn restaurant experience I'd had in ages. I wasn't disappointed. I kept it simple with the cacio E Pepe, rigatoni a la vodka and a Margherita. I think a great way to judge a homey italian place is by how well do they do the basics. They nailed it. Everything was delicious, the wine was good, the service was attentive and helpful. Best of all it wasn't overpriced and the portions were very reasonable. I will be going back.

Nice atmosphere from the welcome and listen the Italian music. Best carbonara ever tried in Sydney before. My friends have had different pastas and pizzas and they want to come back again to try different things. It was delicious😋😋!!!! The bartender was so nice that he delighted us with his special cocktail of the evening, if you go try the "Pornostar Martini" definitely !!!! We couldn't leave without trying the deserts, because we saw them served on other tables and look's like delicious, we had some to share and next time I want one just for me. What can I say .... we spent a beautiful evening and certainly every occasion will be perfect to come back with different friends because it has now become my favorite place and I recommend it to everyone !!!!

Small hidden jem in Surry Hills. Traditional Roman food, simple, tasty and colour full. Good wine selection and cocktails list. Coozy and welcoming atmosphere, from the open view kitchen you can see a strong and happy team lead by Chef Stefano dishing out some authentic Roman food. Dessert won't disappoint. We ate at Cicerone last night and had an incredible experience. The overall vibe is very cool with classic Italian/Roman aspects (the menu/food) fused with modern and hip (the art, music, and staff). The meal we had was absolutely terrific and is one we will remember for sure. The zuppli was the best arancini we’ve ever had, the two pasta dishes were phenomenal, from the homemade rigatoni and bucatini to the deeply flavored sauces, and the tiramisu was again the best we’ve had. Would love to return if we come back to Sydney!

Best roman food in Sydney, the trippa is better than my grandmother’s one. These guys put a lot of passion in what they do and it’s just one of the best and most genuine traditional product you can find around.

Loved new Roman joint in Surry Hills, the food was superb and great value especially the truffle pasta coming in at only $30! Service was also fantastic but food was a bit slow…maybe it was just our table because we saw other tables come and go but we sat there for about 2.5hrs with a 40 min between the pasta and the pizza haha. We ordered the Diavola Pizza, Tonnarelli Carbonara (must get) and Pane di Casa. Nevertheless in the end, we didn't mind because my friend and I had loads to catch up on!

As an Italian I can say this is a "must go" place! Food is amazing, you can feel the quality of the ingredients. Pizza is really tasty (forget about the classic Naples style pizza) and not heavy at all. And how can't we mention the staff? Really funny and patient guys, missing them already! Where do I begin ……. What an amazing experience. From first entering cicerone, the warm welcome from staff to the experience on actually seeing the open kitchen on entrance, something you normally don’t get to see. On entering you automatically feel warm and know you are in for a special meal and dining experience. The wait staff are extremely attentive and not over the top. Very polite and and can also have a laugh with you. Now the food……..OMG !!! The Arancini is to die for. The best we have ever eaten. So much love with this. So fresh , so tasty and true Italian food. From the entrees to the mains and dessert all were prepared and cooked in such a timely manner there was no long wait time for any of the food. Being a Friday evening and all one would expect to have some delay but not at Cicerone. ♥️ As a first time diners at Cicerone we will be back there 1million percent. Keep up the great work guys 👍🏼😀😘
