The food is very good, the wine as well. The service is friendly and well done. The waiters are very careful. Quantities are very generous. The terrace is a pleasant place in winter and summer and the street is quiet. A lot of drinks can be chosen at the bar. With friends, family or for a date this is the perfect venue.

We found this restaurant on The Fork and while it had good ratings, we weren't too sure what to expect. The design was eclectic and welcoming with a great jazz soundtrack. We had a pre-opera dinner at the diner and wasn't disappointed at all. Fine wine list by the glass, the entrée and mains both were sumptuous. Amazing flavour combinations of food that marries so well together. The presentation was top notch and customer service of the restaurant staff was impeccable. The ambience of the environment was very relaxing, comfortable and intimate with various covers of jazz songs being played in the background while you mingle and eat with friends or loved ones. I have never tried circley pastas before so it was a nice fresh experience having it in our truffle pasta. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and the waiter was very friendly. We got a complementary soup as entree which was sweet and the rest of the dishes were so amazing.

I came here for my birthday and I was so happy with my choice! The place was lovely and there was a really nice atmosphere. The staff were great, attentive, helpful and friendly, they even sang happy birthday to me. I recommend the board of cured meat and cheese (that you can choose)it is a treat! All served with pane carasau! We couldn't decide what to order so we ordered both pasta dishes which were big portions and so yummy. As an Italian I can confirm this is what you call real Italian food. I enjoyed everything about the place!

Went here for dinner and had a very pleasant evening. The staff were very friendly and the service was great! We had the meat balls and bruschetta for entre followed by the truffle pasta and then the wagyu surloin. The only disappointment I had was that we didn't have enough room for dessert. An exceptionally underrated venue. I would not have known of this place without TheFork special of 50% discount. Beautifully presented and delicious dishes. Amazing staff and service. Great ambience. Highly recommend (especially with theFork offer). Great place for a night out, date night or group booking. No awkward loitering during eftpos payments and the “tip?” Option is asked. No surcharge for card payments. We got a sparkler and a happy anniversary on our dessert but I don’t recall mentioning it on the booking (even if I did have it), it was a great surprise! Thank you for making our date night extra special and memorable.

Great value for money. The steak and lamb were really good . My friend commented the medium rare steak was spot on and can even rival Black at the Star! We also enjoyed the dessert hazelnut bomb but my favourite is the pistachio meringue! Ive never been a fan of meringue but this one made me subconsciously dig my spoon into it over & over again!

Good atmosphere for a suburban street, nice outlook and views. Modern pop music playing at a decent level but not intrusively so. Friendly service with good wine suggestions. Food was all very good. The restaurant ambience and service were really nice. We ordered the Bruschetta that coupled with a wine and bread were perfect for starting dinner. For mains we got truffle pasta and black angus sirloin. The pasta was 👌 however the black angus was a bit disappointing. It just wasn’t as juicy and flavorful as I was expecting. Aside from that the pannacota was also pretty good. Overall I would come back , I would definitely get some bruschetta again and wine and maybe try some of the other mains , the ambience and service are worth it. Perfect place for a date

Good atmosphere love the open indoor outdoor plan. The oysters were fresh had a lingering strong after taste but went great with their house red. Pork belly was my favourite entree the salsa cutting with the caramel was delicious. Shiso scallops with eel sauce was also good. The steak was good but the pasta was pretty normal and average unfortunately.

I've been eyeing this place for quite a while now and finally found the time to reserve a seat. To begin, the restaurant sports a nice cosy look with a rustic feel given off by the decor of ancient telephones. The entrees were amazing, particularly the caviar oysters, tuna tartare and kangaroo tartare. They were served with extremely generous portions suitable for 3 people. We were also offered free canapés upon arrival which is a first for us (they were slightly on the salty side but who could complain about free food). For mains, we ordered the barramundi, spaghetti and venison tagliolini. The barramundi was cooked and seasoned to perfection and the spaghetti was well balanced in taste and texture. By then, we were all too full. Despite the pricing which may be on the higher side, I highly recommend this place for any special occasion or even a casual dinner.

Extremely pleasant atmosphere with a beautiful old style but modern decoration. Service is wonderful, they recognise you and know your habits. The venue is also quiet so perfect for a date, meeting, catch up or simply to enjoy a quiet time. And what can I say about the food: the chef is incredible. Beautiful bar in a nice, quiet area with professional, down-to-earth waiting staff. We had breakfast and lunch there and would definitely recommend the experience. The food was really nice. I had the pork belly entree and duck breast mains. The staff was friendly. The atmosphere is cost and because of personal taste I feel like the ambiance is a little bit too dark. The food is a bit on the pricey side, but that really depends on your personal circumstance. Superb service and fresh oysters and tuna tartare. Prawns were a bit of a letdown though. Generous cut of barramundi but the sauce that came with it didn’t match so well...think it was a potato purée with a strong mix of seasoning/spices on top. We had the pleasure of attending this fine dining restaurant for a friends surprise birthday. My first time coming here, but definitely not the last!!! Not only was the food delicious and perfectly cooked and served, the staff were so friendly and attentive. They were one person down and even then they maintained their high level of customer service, whilst looking out for our dietary requirements. Elliot and Stefano were exceptional; they engaged with our table (large group of 20 people) and made sure we had what we needed whilst juggling other tables. Customer service goes a long way and they exceeded all expectations! We will be coming back soon :)

The food and service are wonderful. We had the scallops and octopus for entres. We made specific request for them not to be over cooked and they were cooked to perfection, tender and juicy and just the right amount of seasoning not to be over powering. We had the angus beef and barramundi for mains and again cooked and seasoned to perfection. We had the passionfruit pana cotta and nuttella mouse for desert, while the nutella mouse wasn't so appealing, the pana cotta was delicious with the burnt white chocolate. The manager even helped us with a matching desert beer. The special cocktails were also so delicious...we sampled a few of them ;) Service was prompt and attentive. Overall very pleasant. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Thee food here is great and the service is amazing. It's in a quiet part of the city so it's nice place to have a date with a loved one without the bustling of the city. Contact Bar & Kitchen was awesome. A bit of a drive from The Hills district, but absolutely worth the drive. Amazing that a place in the city can be so quiet and relaxing. Our waiter, Elliot, was exceptionally professional but also warmly personable. The food was beyond amazing. Mains took a fraction long to come out, but having had entree we weren’t hungry and were not in a rush. We discovered this gem on restaurant booking app The Fork and while it was our first time here, it certainly won’t be our last!

Mixed feelings. Food and ambience were great but service was very much lacking. After waiting 25 minutes of *not* being served, we needed to go to the counter to order. The food then took over an hour to be served. The restaurant was mostly empty so not sure why everything took so long.

The staff were friendly, accommodating, professional, and courteous, which was a compliment to the relaxed and classy atmosphere, and the excellent food. Oysters were fresh, pork meatballs were lean and hearty, fried mushrooms were juicy, and the arancini with blue cheese sauce were crunchy and so tasty I felt I'd enjoy them as a main! The seafood squid ink pasta was loaded with flavour, but not overly heavy, while the truffle and mushroom pasta was a real winter warmer with a texture and presentation I don't believe I've seen before in Sydney - I do love a little novelty. I didn't get to try dessert, but I don't regret my choice to indulge in 4 starters instead. I simply look forward to my next visit, where I'll do my best to leave space for something sweet. No promises though - there's always the potential for a third visit (if I find myself so lucky). Went there for Birthday Dinner with wife and daughter and the service and food were awesome!!! When the person serving us came to know about my birthday he surprised me with an wonderful chocolate birthday decor and also gave me a gift ( a card with future discount voucher). Amazing place ! The atmosphere is very inviting, with good music, the place is located on an airy spot with lots of details and antiques everywhere. The service is impeccable, the staff is super friendly, welcoming and helpful. We went for dinner last Monday with a couple of friends, we ordered entrees and different mains and all of them were served evenly and with good temperature. The waiter recommended us one of the Italian wines which was delicious. As entrees we ordered the Rock oysters and the Aranchini, they were fresh and the aranchini wee with good texture and the blue cheese sauce was the perfect mix. As mains our friends ordered the squid-ink seafood spaghetti and they were very pleased with the dish, and I could noticed there was plenty of sea food in it. My partner ordered the king fish with some little specifications for which the waiter happily accept to take and my partner was very please with his dish. I ordered the Truffle Croxetti and the waiter kindly explained to us without asking from where it came the idea of the “croxetti pasta” originally. The dish was very tasty, the only thing is that it was a bit salty for my taste but even though I enjoyed it and ate it pleasantly. Oh and by they way, one of the best tiramisu ! We all were happy with the portions served, all the food was delightful and we enjoyed our time at the place. I will definitely recommend this place and I’ll go back !

Be honest,I can't say It was good experience. They did friendly service but for the food I can't say it was good. Especially for the seasoning(too much or too less).for the aranchini sauce it was really salty and way too much cheese flavour so the balance of that dish wasn't good. For meatball they were too dry inside. Too overcooked or frozen? For pasta I thought they haven't seasoned for their sauce and pasta. I have worked in Italian restaurant. I know how Italian season their pasta but for this one I am pretty sure that this one not from the Italian chef or just haven't checked the seasoning. For chicken roulade it was way over cooked. The balance of the dish wasn't really good. I couldn't understand the reason you put that on menu. It was really not good. For dessert tiramisu. For just tiramisu it was pretty good but for the garnish it doesn't match with tiramisu. The chocolate on top of the tiramisu it hasn't been tempered properly so it doesn't melt in mouth properly and chocolate syrup it shouldn't be on the dish it makes that dish not good. I expect classic Italian but I think it doesn't.

Beautiful decor, lovely staff and great environment but the food was quite average for the price you pay. Had a great time here got the secret desecration meal which was $55 for three courses. Pretty good, cannot fault it, wine was good and great atmosphere. My only concern was the waitress was more interested in her friend that arrived and spent the majority of the time we were there sat chatting to her and not waiting on our table or seeing if we needed anything, considering she was the only waitress there and there was a few tables of people it was very unprofessional to sit down and have a drink and catch up when your supposed to be working.

This place is decorated with phones because it's called CONTACT Bar and Kitchen. And they sure dialed in a great dinner experience. The staff were very friendly, and the dishes were tasty, especially the sirloin. The only aspect to improve is the aesthetic because the room was quite dimly lit, which took away the visual quality of the dishes. But overall really enjoyed our time here, and well recommended for that quiet but fun date night!

Beautiful people and a beautiful experience. Some lovely Italian wines they have. The burger with the crispy sweet potato fries is a must have. The bruschetta is a nice twist from the traditional version of it. As much as you would think you've had your fill; do not miss out on the Panna Cotta

The steak and lamb dishes are my favourite but you are spoilt for choice. Great cocktail range and if you're willing to surrender your phone, you can have a complimentary glass of bubbles!

Attracts a younger crowd. Prices are average for the inner city and the current Groupon deal is very good value.

Brilliant place the staff are the stars here very attentive and very accommodating as I had wait for friend to arrive. It has cool vibe like not necessarily dinner but place you'd hangout after work or lunch and swing by on weekends it has very local feeling and for into the neighbourhood perfectly on Crown Street, 5mins down from Williams Street intersection. Definitely would love come back during lunch or for drinks.
