Many people recommended, so we tried and it was true, here is the great place. We did tapas for two, ordered 3 dishes and that was enough. All dishes are tasty. Friendly stuff.
We didn’t do but they offer BYO deals from the liquor store next door.

McMahons point is easily becoming one of my fave suburb in Sydney. After discovering Piato Greek Resto, now I’m again happy to recommend another gem in this side of Lower North Shore. Delicado is a must-try Spanish restaurant serving tasty paellas, croquettes and churros. Try their delicious Jamón Serrano Croquettes, tasty Albóndigas and flavourful Seafood Paella. Skip their Salt and Pepper Squid as it’s a bit on the saltier side but please do try their churros for dessert as they are yummy!

Oh my oh my, is all I can say as the waiter arrived with dishes one by one.
The food was great. We ordered the prawn tostada with diced steak and fries. I love the avocado along with the prawn tostada's, it complimented the texture of brilliantly. The pesto-like paste at the base of the steak bowl was a great touch to the dish. The fries admittedly had an abundance of salt, which wasn't a huge issue for me as it was chased with the waiters recommended wine.
Then we procured a chicken and chorizo paella, rather divine with a nice set of baby wings for a crunch.
We had exceptional service and the atmosphere was superb for a Tuesday night.
I'll be visiting again.

This is a little Sydney secret. Wonderful tapas, great wine list and more.

Starting with the positive, the outdoor area in the street is really nice to have dinner in and the staff is friendly. But I was clearly disappointed by the food compared to everything I ate in Spain before. In general, the food was tasteless. One of my favorite tapas is croquettas and those ones didn’t worth the $18. There was no béchamel in it but something like mashed potatoes. I had the seafood paella as well which seems more like a paella where you add the seafood at the end rather than cooked together. The prawns were probably frozen because they had no taste at all. Overall I had a good night but if you are looking to find great food like in Spain, there is a lot of room for improvements!

So much going for it, friendly staff 🤝relaxed atmosphere 🍻 . I’ve been coming here regularly for years. In the last few months tho, the food has become narrow and pedestrian 😦, which for the price....hmm. I think both the produce and the standards of prep. Last visit the morcilla and chorizo was so charred a good 30% went back with the dishes. Time for the kitchen to get back to standard.
M. C.
Where to start! Well, with the obvious SANGRIA. (Careful guys! it's stronger than it seems 🥳🥳🥳)
We ordered loads. The food was so good and incredibly generous.
I'm definitely going back... very soon.
J. O.
Popped in for a take-away iced Margarita. It was delicious. Friendly service, fast and good price too. Very enjoyable. Easy parking and access.
R. E. c.
Had a late breakfast hear and was great with such friendly staff and service was fast .
I had the big breakfast and it’s one of the biggest and best iv had in a long while especially for its price, very cheap .
This place is beautiful presented and sets a relaxed and International feel and great Spanish food options.
They have indoor and outdoor and even a stunning up stair aria .
S. S.
Amazing Spanish restaurant around Milsons point. Love the bread, angry potatoes and mushrooms. The restaurant has both in door and outdoor seating and has some of the really good wines.
L. L.
Beautiful and fresh food. Kind service and great dessert. Absolutely worth the money
S. H.
The Crispy Salmon is absolutely out of this world and a must-have. The mashed potato and beautifully-done greens compliment it perfectly. Also, the restaurant is very generous with portion sizes, very good value for money. Would dine here again and again.
R. S.
Good Cup Day atmosphere. The management had made an effort running a cup sweep and placing a TV outside to watch the coverage.
Our meal was very good. Some excellent stuffed mushrooms and some salted calimari which was nice, but not special. The paella was very good, exceptionally filling with a range of ingredients befitting an excellent recipe. Our wines were very good, particularly the Pinot Noir sold by the glass.
Service was excellent!
A. C.
I love the food. Super recommended: Roti for $16. We also ordered Gnocchi and the taste omg so good~ love the place.
The portion was quite large tho, so make sure you are hungry. The balcony area are ideal for drinking while people watching downstairs :p
S. F.
I went here for brunch with my friend. It was raining but there was plenty of relaxed outdoor seating. They let us bring out dog and left a bowl of water for him. Coffee was good but the food was a standout. Not the usual brunch menu but instead flavourful Spanish (?????) food. I ordered spicy eggs over wedges and was thoroughly impressed. I’ll be going back soon.
F. B.
Have been there many times. Food wine and service always top notch.
Quality at all levels.
A.
Great wine list and tapas menu. Many options for dinner. Steak Tuesday is a winner. Breakfast or lunch on Sundays (paella) is a must. For dessert, you cannot go wrong with churros. And Josefina for pairing.
R. M.
Fantastic staff who helpfully point you to the best dish suited to your tastes. I went to delicado with my partner for my birthday and we had one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time. The waitress told us about the huevos rancheros - Spanish eggs with sausage and avocados and loads of goodness. Also do try the shot of coffee with evaporated milk at the bottom of the cup - you'll love it!
i. m.
Very relaxing afternoon. Good food and wine. The staff made it more memorable.
T. H. P.
Spanish foods at Milson Point on the other side of Lavender Bay opposite to Sydney city. Great! So nice it's Paella, Tapped etc. I love the food here.
P. C.
Great relaxed environment. Fun staff made the night very enjoyable. Dog friendly outside
M. &. V. H.
Great atmosphere, good food and a very nice Spanish red wine recommended by the waiter.
g. s.
We tried breakfast today, ordered iced coffee and Ibiza toast. Yummy!!! We'll be back and try their tapas.
J. O.
Love this little gem! Really friendly customer service, delicious food, beautiful wine. Can't wait to visit again after lockdown!
N. H. (.
Great food and great service. Have been coming for years and can never fault the service nor the food.
T. R.
Excellent. Food is good & it takes a bit to come which tells me it's fresh & they actually cook it instead of just reheating it. Really cute place with great atmosphere & staff. Then I used the bathroom & found the best public bathroom I've ever found on the planet... Flat entry, the door is a sliding door, back rest on the toilet, rail next to it, bright blue toilet seat, hand dryer marked with a clear sign, long-handled low-effort mixing tap at the basin. Those with elderly, injured, disabled, or dementia-afflicted loved ones will know what this means. Very thoughtful. For those who do not have any of these issues, it's still the coolest bathroom - painted funky, chandelier, plants & nic-knacks etc. If this much thought and care for diners has gone into the bathroom, I'm sure you can appreciate how good the rest of the place is.
H. D. D.
Probably THE best steak I've EVER had! Big, thick and cooked to perfection. I'm a fussy person with steak... don't offer it on the menu unless you know how to cook it correctly. I like mine rare... not medium rare and not medium. The eye fillet was a lot larger than expected for the price and the red wine that came with it was perfectly paired. Can't wait to visit here again!
B. W.
A delightful Spanish tapas restaurant at the corner of Princes Street. Great for a casual gathering with friends or a date with tapas and some wine. Great ambience on the patio with Spanish beats playing on the background - perfect for soaking up McMann's neighbourhood vibes.
Known for its happy hour during the week.
J. L.
Very good food and friendly service. 4 of us shared 2 entrees, chorizo paella, 2 desserts with drinks and we were full. Recommended.
M. O.
I had vegetable curry there. It was not just normal curry. As the ingredients sauted in advance, it had so much flavours. Presentation was beautiful too! We enjoyed the meal very much :) Churros was lovely too!
J. C.
A lovely location and an intimate atmosphere. The food may have been prepared for us by Chef Mic (the microwave)... the croquettes showed no sign of human touch (or rustic appeal) and the patatas bravas had their sauce microwaved on them. The Seville prawns were good but very garlic heavy. It was a pleasant evening however we feel that food missed the mark.
D. M.
Fabulous Spanish fare to enliven your senses, generous authentic cuisine, great vino to choose from, tempting tapas, just makes you want to travel again (maybe soon we hope...). Blues Point Rd and nearby Lavender Bay will be a return voyage for sure
S. f.
Wonderful atmosphere in a quaint part of Sydney. Lots of different options with gluten free plates too.
M. S.
Best place in a while here. Prawns, squid and churros were spectacular! Great beer on tap too. Classic Spanish tapas. Well done guys! Will come back
B. M.
I sent two groups of seniors to this delightful restaurant yesterday. It is a lovely spot. The staff were incredibly helpful with everything and the food was excellent. They allowed those with small appetites to order the kids meals and there was more than plenty of food. The coffee was raved about. Thank you Delicado!
K. C.
This little gem of a restaurant is a great find! Portions are good size, food is tasty, and the whole vibe captures the flavours of Spain - I love that it’s good value, you can get takeaway meals for $10! The crispy skin salmon and chicken & veggie soup are my weeknight fave!
J. K.
What a delightful experience! Loved the food, the service and the attentive wait staff. Big portions and fresh food! Will definitely be coming again. Thank you so much
S. M.
Everything we ate was so fresh and delicious. Great portions too. On a beautiful sunny day, eating outside, it was just such a lovely lunch.
A. G.
Such a lovely time in a lovely place- excellent, attentive and super friendly service with authentic Spanish staff! We got very reasonable happy hour prices on our drinks and our 3 year old was accommodated with ice cream that probably wasn't on the menu. Really positive experience.
D. H.
Impossibly wonderful random discovery! We’ll be back to this place. Thank you so much! This was the Green Veggie Bowl which we had with Classic Garlic Prawns.....
D. A. R. R.
Good food and great experience. Ruben and Jaime were very helpful and did provide a top service!
M. A. C.
The outdoor is a great experience. The staff provides us with a table heater 🔥. We had a couple of drinks before making our way to another place for dinner.
Should have booked here. There's always a next time though. We had Sangria 🍸. Very good.
T. C.
First timer here and wasn't disappointed.
Atmosphere was awesome, as was the design, and to top it off the food and wine was first class.
I will be back again for sure.
S. L.
Best tapas in all of Sydney! Last time I had paella this good was in Valencia. They also have a fantastic wine list!
M. S.
Delicious soup of the day with chicken. Very, very rich soup, paella with chicken and chorizo also delicious. I am full!
R. B.
Really delicious tapas. Not fast food, you better get there with enough time but it's worth it. Nice and friendly service.
A. S.
Generous service and the best Tapas I have had since Spain. Topped off by a smart wine list and spot on recommendations.
H. W.
Great place good food gluten free options great wine choices something for everyone
L. P.
Great authentic Spanish food and drinks, great service, perfect way to spend a relaxing weekend afternoon.
K. L.
I meet friends here for happy hour drinks, the wines which come with dips are delightful and so reasonable. Other time I have had dinner and shared some great dishes, the beef cheeks and calamari were exceptional. The service is attentive and it is so nice to sit outside.
R. L.
Terrific neighbourhood restaurant with authentic tapas and a wine shop specialising in Spanish wines too
K. A.
Went here as a party of three. We didn't book and they gave us bar-style seating at the balcony which turned out to be really nice as we got the breeze and got to people watch down Blues Point Rd. Huge wine selection, bit pricey but really good quality. Food was really good - tapas style - cheese and meat platter, lamb, prawns all really good. Service was pretty good, not too fast but we weren't in a rush.
S. B.
Had a beautiful lunch here at the weekend. Authentic spanish food, reasonably priced and the setting makes you feel like you are sitting in a spanish town. Highly recommended. Good food for the kids too, and huge portions in the kids menu.
E. L.
Terrific food, excellent portions and staff had superb service, big shoutout to the waiter working on Saturday May 8!
P. E. N.
I have been coming to Delicado for years now and it feels like family. Highly professional staff with years of experience in aunthentic tapas bar in Spain. Great with wine recommendations. What about the food? Well, for someone who originally comes from Spain, this is the only place I’ve visited more than once. Not only the food is authentic, the staff are also part of the experience. The only aunthentic Spanish restaurant in Sydney.
L. C.
Really nice Spanish food and wine list. I have the Mixta paella which was superb.
J. R.
I've enjoyed lunch here on a few occasions and always been surprised that more people haven't discovered this place. The food is very good, the wine list is appealing and the service is thoughtful. Sitting outside on the terrace on a warm day is delightful.
M. K.
Good wine list with a fantastic offering of food. I really enjoyed every dish. Often with these types of foods I can get allergies but it was clear that the high quality and fresh ingredients meant I was able to enjoy every bite.
M. R.
Beautiful setting on a pleasant day. Management very friendly and service good. Food okay as is coffee. Have not experienced dinner here yet but will definitely try it some time as daytime service encourages me to return
J. G.
I have only been here for brunch but I have also been to every other restaurant on Blues Point Road for brunch. I would say that this is the best place hands down. Other places might be busier which will make you think that they are better but every meal I have had here has been great. Friendly staff and great service. The fresh orange juice and something with halloumi is something I have to order each time.
J. C.
The meals are always delicious as are the wines. A great outdoor dining experience too. Good prices.
C. D.
Was a bit wary of going here as it said Wine Bar and I don't drink but so glad I did. It sounds like you are in Spain. The rustic charm is very welcoming and the wait staff are very friendly. The prices are so reasonable. I had 4 slices of very fancy bread with Tapinade for only $4 plus the Crispy fried Gnocchi in Blue cheese was so good. I could only eat half. Best Gnocchi I have had. Llb was only 4.5 for a large glass. Next time in North Sydney will be going there.
R. F.
Great food, poor listening skills and environmental sustainability. Sorry guys but this one is a winge; asked several times for no straw in my drink, guess what I got? Will happy change my review when plastic straws are eliminated here (with good alternatives for those who truly need them of course). Fingers crossed :) other than that, good food, good value. Hope to be back when practices change.
D. S.
We went for lunch and it was nice and quiet. We sat upstairs.
Cute and cozy spot; location is nice
Food was average and price reasonable.
The staff was friendly;
However some of the staff was sitting upstairs and were watching movies on their phone which was quite distracting as there was no else upstairs. They knew we were there. The staff barely checked in on us to see how we were doing.
It was fine for experiencing it once, but I wouldn’t go back.
k. g.
Fantastic tapas, a deliciously refreshing frozen margarita or two and a gnocchi to make that palate sing. And friendly staff. Win.
L. T.
Great location and food good with a range of Argentinian wines in particular. Pleasant outdoor seating available.
a.
Second time we've been here. Both times below average service, our waiter was disinterested and food took a long time to come out. Food was ok, nothing out of the ordinary but nothing to complain about either, except for the coffee (bad).
E. G.
Great Service and great food . Relaxed atmosphere and you dont feel rushed.
The food is amazing and there wasn't one dish I could fault.
C. A.
Fabulous happy hour snacks- white anchovies and the champinions!! Wow!! Flavour plus! What a great find. Delicious!!!
M. C.
Really enjoyed the $28 steak and glass of wine special on a Tuesday night. Generous steak, beautiful mash and perfectly cooked green beans. Look forward to trying their other specials.
C. L.
Yummy Spanish tapas great for sharing. Paired with a great wine list. A favourite for team Christmas lunch and don't forget to finish off with the churros and paired port. Delicious!
B. F.
Decent Spanish restaurant. Can only comment on wide choice of tapas & paella. Great for a group.
A. P.
Food was good. Ordered the gnocchi, generous portion and delicious. Service was ridiculously slow for lunch. Place was not busy. Would go again if that was fixed.
B. C.
Just had a great afternoon at this restaurant. 3 years ago I wouldn’t have touched this place to expensive. Wow, Best lunch I’ve had for a long time.. reasonable prices, great food outstanding service.
Well done
A. R.
The place is beautiful. The service is outstanding. The food is not Spanish. Good tortilla de patatas and full stop. The chef is not bad but I’m sure Spanish food is not his forte.
D. G.
Friendly waiter (the French guy), great food (try the beetroot croquettes and white sangria). We sat outside which was perfectly heated on a cold winter night.
Our second jug of sangria took a while to come out, so they brought a complimentary glass of sherry with desert. Nice.
Not cheap but pretty good value.
T. N.
Popped in for a coffee and glass of wine last Saturday. What a great spot! We plan to go back for a meal soon
J. C.
While I did enjoy the food (tapas and sharing plates) and I found that it was a reasonable price considering the area, what really lets Delicado down is the service. The food takes quite a while to come out (30 minutes for coffee and churros), and the waiter came off as rude.
R. T.
Fantastic place. Authentic Spanish food is excellent plus the service is so kind and professional. Top notch.
A. E. C. M.
Great place! So nice to see places that use the kerb to provide a nice and different atmosphere. The food was superb, the portions of the tapas were decent enough and the staff was always attentive. Probably a bit pricy but I guess the location forces the bar up
J. C.
Great great place! Incredibly friendly weight staff. The 🥘 paella is authentic and delicious, highly recommended. Also worth hitting happy hour for drinks and apps
N. D.
Really delicious Spanish food . Great service , yummy wine and waiters ☺️
I. P.
One of my favourite Spanish restaurants in Sydney. Their Sangria comes in both traditional red plus a white offering. Their tapas are delicious and for dessert, there's no going past the Churros with chocolate and caramel sauce.
D. S.
Lovely good for a special treat, great wine list and lovely staff.
J. F.
On the main drag of Mcmahons Point, open for breakfast, lunch & dinner the menu is largely Spanish influenced however I had a really tasty curry from the dinner menu. No BYO however you can buy a bottle of wine from their extensive (mainly overseas) collection in the wine shop attached to the restaurant
A. B.
2 very ordinary breakfasts. Big breakfast (basic and thrown together) and heuvos roto (too many potatoes...too stodgy for breakfast, left half and was full!! ). Over sweet mocha. Undrinkable. Have given it 3 stars because I've been a few times before and it was much better.
J. C.
Pleasant happy hour dish of mushrooms sauted in garlic and oil, and a glass of reasonable white. Outdoors in comfort
S. W.
Lovely staff but food was disappointing...too oily and spanish egg dish not very spanish. Flat white coffee wasn't flat but rather like foam. They were very patient and charming staff but please lift food quality.
S. F.
Nice little spot very intimate with good wine and tapas at reasonable price. Service was a bit lacking and they missed our order of halloumi, glade we asked for it though as it was great. I
R. P.
Great selection of wine and food and friendly staff ready to assist with suggestions to match typical Spanish dishes with your choice of wine. Just be ready for an expensive bill at the end.
W.
Delicious. Great food and service. Highly recommended. Didn't want to split bills, which is silly in this day and age. Australia is behind on that one. I'd go back for sure.
J. A.
Very friendly staff and great location. Easy to book. Great wine selection
D. S.
Atmosphere quite nice, set in a quieter area away from the busy side of north Sydney, friendly staff and good food to be had. Expect parking difficulties on weekend mornings due to nearby cafes being popular as well.
s. t.
marinara is bit butttery for my taste
paella is not remarkable
hope they cn do better
R. A.
Wonderful place to enjoy with friends. Great food, great wine. If you can't decide, ask for a surprise and it will be a pleasant one!
S. O.
Love all the food here and the staff (who went above and beyond in relation to my lost purse). Great tempranillo reserva available. Reasonable prices. Great night out.
S. H.
Had the $25 paella and sangria special. Serving size was generous, with heaps of protein. Will be back!
S. A.
Amazing place with a great selection of wines. The staff is very helpful and friendly, adding to the overall experience. Can't wait to visit again soon!
P. G.
This little gem has been under going some exciting changes in the 2nd half of 07. Table dinning and a wine bar now complement the best selection of Spanish goodies in Sydney. Ben and his family and staff also provide the friendliest service to the loyal locals and those that come from miles around to the magic part of Sydney.
a.
Great spot, great food
C. J.
Loved it! The food we had was delicious. Lovely rustic decor upstairs.
V. N.

Amazing local wine bar and tapas. Service is always great and the food is too. Lovely to sit out on the street.
K. J.
A home like ambience. A good choice of menu with a different variety. Good portion of food and friendly staff. Would definitely come back again.
J. G.
Great. Run by {nice} Spanish expats. Only thing i would improve is slightly more main meal, dessert and juice choices. 😋👍🍝🍤🥤💃
M. T.
Wonderful food, great wine, cosy ambience & efficient family friendly service even on a busy Mother’s Day. I’ll be back for sure - only wish I lived around the corner from Delicado...
G. N.
Always lovely food, staff and price. We are going back soon!

D. T.
Great place to enjoy Spanish foods.
A. L.
Yummy food and friendly staff!
P. S. S. (.
Always sign the waiver on the napkin about the "Death sauce" that stuff is spicy hot as for 40 minutes. Apart from that, the Paella weekends & Pork belly tapas are some notable delishs.
D. U.

J. W.
Great tapas plates, good wine... win, win.
S. G.
Delicado is a little bit of spain transported to McMahons point. The Jamon was absolutely delicious as was...everything else! A little bit on the expensive side for some of the dishes, but refreshingly authentic for what it is.
T. S.
The atmosphere and service was fantastic and the staff so friendly. The food just melted in your mouth.
R. K.
Wonderful selection of wines and the food is amazing. Definitely on my 'return to' list.
