Delicious food and a great option when we didn't want food hall food while with our two small children. The staff were lovely and the atmosphere was great.
The gnocchi and pizzas were delicious, hubs loved the calamari.
One Star off as we thought pricing was a little high.

Good food! Great service! Celebrated my birthday and Anjali made sure that we had a memorable experience…
R. Y.
I had the calamari, tortellini and pizza. Very nice tortellini, though couldn't really taste the mushroom.
The medium rare steak was too rare and the fat wasn't rendered.
The area deep inside is not well ventilated, so my hair and clothes smell like oil.
It was difficult (as was the case in the Westfield one) to get the waitress's attention.

Huge space located underground in the CBD! We had a lunch over there. The food came pretty fast considering there were large groups ordering the same time. The quality of food was great and the flavours on all dishes were perfect.

We came here for the first time and had heard good reviews on all Fratelli Fresh chains from various friends.
We ordered:
1. Glass of Pinot Nero
2. The Prawn & Garlic Pizza
3. Crab Spaghettini
4. Vanilla Pannacotta
5. Tirasmisu
We enjoyed every single item that we ordered. The Prawn & Garlic Pizza was very tasty and fresh. Big balls of cherry tomatoes and onions which added sweetness to the pizza and good little chunks of prawns were to be seen too.
Our fave was the Crab Spaghettini. It was evident that they were quite generous with the amount of crab spread throughout the pasta and it was just beautiful in its flavour and presentation. Definitely keen for this again!
I loved my Vanilla Pannacotta. It had the perfect wobble and creaminess to it and paired beautifully with the passionfruit sauce and apricots.
The Tiramisu is a very generous serve! My husband struggled to finish it!
He said it was probably one of the best Tiramisus he’s ever had!
So impressed with our meal that I signed up for the rewards program. You get this cute little key ring with “Fratelli Fresh” on it!
The only downside was that there were a lot of people there so it was a little loud and hard to carry a conversation. It’s a good sign though that they were so packed.
The bathrooms are also very quirky, combining a big space with mens’ and womens’ cubicles once you walk in and the hand basins are communal and shared.
There’s also a private dining room for those who wish to have a private function.
It’s a funky restored old space.
Will be back for sure.

The zucchini flower was soggy and disappointing. The polenta was flavourless. The pizza was good. The atmosphere is pretty good. Overall an average experience.

Came here for our 6 years anniversary during our honeymoon in Sydney. The place is packed with customers. It was super loud too. If you enjoy a lively atmosphere then this is the place for you. The food was delicious. First time eating a seafood spaghetti where it was slightly spicy. 👍
S. S.
Overpriced for what you get. The sauce with the gnocchi tasted like it was poured out of a bottle of tomato puree and warmed. Something that should feature on Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmare. The rest of the family had a better experience and liked the food but we all agreed the prices were too high.
J. I.
You shoukd make a reservations here, thats super important otherwise it maybe hard to get a table.
The reception staff were amazing and super friendly.
The food was good, we did order a lot more food, but forgot to take pics. I cant recomend enough the polenta fries. You can skip the mac and cheese.
I.
Food was brilliant and so was the atmosphere as its all underground. Very lively and bustling. The food was fast and the service was polite with no issues. My partner was unable to finish her pasta and my pizza was very nice. It was also all slightly spicey which is appreciated.

Lovely cosy place for lunch in d city 😊 was too excited to see the wood fire oven at d entrance. me bein' a GF freak - i did not have high hopes on Italian - but it wasn't a disappointment at all. Bruschetta was yum on crispy toast and tomatoes 🍅 on ensalada caprese were mouthwatering! In mains I went for the specials of the day crab n chilli spaghetti with herb panagrartato - loved it! I usually get bloated with anything gluten but surprise I felt fantastic. Staff was nice n attentive too. Perfect lunch with work mates.
Update Nov 2017
Once again enjoyed the crab spaghettini ❤️ now all my work mates loves this dish. loved the mocktail they made for me with some lime orange n mint! Had nice time once again. Keep going 👍🏻
@google - we should have an option to put more than one review (just an idea 💡 for improve 😊)

Very nice place. The deals are good. $1 ice cream and $10 spritz. Service is nice as well. I enjoyed my drinks here after work.
S. F.
This place was fantastic with very friendly staff and exceptional value, especially during it's happy hours. We tried a few drinks as well as the diavola and prosciutto di Parma pizzas, all were very good.
Update: we visited a second time and had a bad experience. If you don't want expensive water ($10 per bottle) be careful and ask for tap water when they ask would you like flat or sparkling water. The meal and drinks were fine, but the glass of house wine we ordered showed up on the bill as a glass of wine at more than 3x the cost. We couldn't wave down our server to pay the bill so had to wait around for a while to flag someone else down to fix and pay our bill.
C. C.
I love Fratelli Fresh for simple, delicious Italian food. Perfect for large groups or for just a couple, you are always sure to have a good meal! My favourite part is the $5 happy hour, so I definitely recommend getting there early (before 6) and stock up on the cheap happy hour food and beverages.
S. H.
Tasty meals! Nice dinning area, friendly and professional staff. The restaurant is under ground so you won’t get much reception there. Their dessert menu is quite limited in comparison to their other bigger branches. Still a nice place to go to every now and then.
R. P.
Good place to be for happy hours.. after that prices tend to be steep. nice spread of food and cocktails. Awesome location hidden below road level at Bridge street.. Tends to get quite busy all days.. they have good woodfire pizza and awesome pastas..
M. B.
We were quickly shown to out table (5 of us at 5pm) and service was slightly slow to start off with but the starters, drinks and mains flowed well once things were in motion. Unfortunately the seafood spaghetti dish didn't have much seafood...unless you count 5 prawns as "seafood". My pizza (fennel and sausage) was on point. Unfortunately the music/ambience in the place was slowly getting louder and louder so by 7pm when we left we were shouting at each other across the table.
K. L.
Pizza wasn’t that good but the mushroom risotto was good. Like it that there was a good selection of Italian cocktails
T. M.
When and Why: Visited on a Saturday night to take family out who were visiting.
Atmosphere: Not as busy as what I have seen it through the week which was good.
Ordered: Spagettini, crab, chilli, garlic, pangrattato, which was delicious though they had run out my first choice of the Tagliatelle Burrata.
Price: Moderately expensive but the location and experience is worth it.
Service: very good though been known to be slow in the past
K. C.
One of the famous Fratelli branches. Food is of good quality is consistent. The pastas are definitely their strong point and should not be missed.
Z. L.
Good pizza, ordered the prosciutto and mushroom pizza, Bolognese pasta and linguine and they were all good sized and were tasty. Went on a Tuesday and got half price on our meal which was definitely worth it.
E. C.
3.5*** Definitely good quality food that came out quickly; tastes fresh and all around the table were quite happy. Would say that portions are also decent maybe erring on the smaller size for cost. From a value perspective this is obviously operating at a higher price point but the location and atmosphere definitely reflects that. I did find that it was rather dark and noise was contained in the small space so that even though the floor wasn't totally full it was very loud and hard to talk to the people around me. A plus as the pizza bases are vegan haha :) would give this a 3.5 but google doesn't allow that.
S.
Great food, drinks and atmosphere. Pricey as expected but service definitely wasn't great. My order was incorrect and we didn't bother ordering more drinks as we struggled to get the attention of any of the servers.
T. K.
Great happy hour here. The cocktails are absolutely not watered down in any way & the pizza is great value.
Service can be a little hit and miss. We were shown to a table by the back wall and found it hard to get the staffs attention at times.
D. G.
Nothing exceptional about the food, but the price is right, and the happy hour promotion is very good. The ice cream was amazing.
M. N.
Love "Spaghetti, crab, chill, garlic, pangrattato " ! We had it on MONDAY Special price, yeah!
P. A.
Monday night $15 pizza and $5 pilsner. Price is no reflection on quality. Delicious pizza and beer and very helpful and friendly staff who accommodated our nut allergy
S. N.
Booked for 10 on Friday night and it was moderately busy at 7pm. They have high tables and stools. It is hidden away downstairs so a bit tricky to find and only about 7 minutes walk to Wynyard station. We order 2 plates of mixed cured meat, tomatoes with mozzarella, gnochetti, lamb ragu, tagliatelle meatballs, prosciutto pizza, spicy chorizo pizza, tiramisu, pannacotta and banoffee. They were all fairly ordinary dishes. The waitress offered us olives and foccacia before we ordered which was added to the bill. Their tomatoes were not sliced well - huge pieces and tiny bits of mozzarella. The lamb ragu was probably the best with very tender lamb. The tiramisu was nice, lots of creme but the chocolate dust at the top made most of us choke. The food was not very filling for 10 people yet we paid about $35 pp. Probably best to skip all the fancy entrees and sides and just order pizzas to share between large groups. The foccacia was like a small thin base pizza. You probably need to order one pizza per person. Service was quite good. There is often a long wait so book ahead.
E. S.
Nice place for piazza, pasta and other Italian style dishes. I personally find the price a little expensive for an Italian restaurant of this scale (seat capacity). Overall the restaurant is okay.
L. M.
Easy, accessible, eccentric. Our night was made by the lovely food and drinks at fratelli fresh; with the waitress (Alisha) providing all we need with good timing and precision. Her vibrant aura made our experience into a night to remember.
S. G.
Nice food and drinks, tables are a little small and crampt and the lighting is very dim. Would be a really cosy, cool spot at night or in bad weather
O. L.
Very good food, came here a few years ago and the atmosphere was great. Friendly staff and great ingredients. It was a bit hard to find at first due to its under ground entrance some what, but it was well worth it. The darling harbour fratelli fresh is a shocker, do not go there. This one is the real deal.
A. M.
Lovely place for long-lunch. Great food too, I have the meat balls and pizza. Five stars!
T. G.
Dishes are hit and miss but have a vibrant environment and at a reasonable price in the city centre. Good for a casual night out if you are in the city.
A. Y.
Great variety of dishes that cater for your craving! Atmosphere is calm and the place has great mood lighting for both a nice night out with friends or a dinner date for two. The pastas were delicious and of good serving size. Prices are okay - quite expensive. Service was great; attentive and quick.
R. H.
Delicious pizza (best I've found in Sydney, bar perhaps Hugo's - but that's a different style of base). Haven't tried the pasta but my girlfriend loved it. Happy hour has great pricing and atmosphere.
I wouldn't recommend this (or any other Fratelli Fresh) for Uber Eats, as they have a tendency to arrive very soggy and borderline inedible. These pizzas are best enjoyed fresh.
M. N.
I liked the food but the restaurant was too loud. I have great hearing, but the noise made it difficult to talk with friends. There were 5 of us at a round table and we all issues hearing each other. They actually had music playing that you could barely make out. Each of us enjoyed our food though. 4 stars for the food.
J. N.
This was my first time at FF. The kids eat free offer was the drawer card and the christen really enjoyed their pasta. The service was attentive and friendly and we immediately felt comfortable. Food was delicious so we will definitely be back. It does remind us of restaurants in Italy - they have done a great job on the decor.
A. H.
The food here is very basic. The seafood scampi pasta had no flavors and tasted very bland. The seafood tasted like it was from a commercial frozen bag. The pizza was very average. The only thing i liked here was the ball of fresh burrata cheese on top of the pizza. The service here was also very bad and it was very hard to flag down waiters. The beers were pretty good though. I heard from my same foodie friend that this place used to be pretty good back in the days
A. K.
Amazing place and ambience...enjoyed the expresso Martini, Oysters and Negroni...Kudos
M. G.
I've been to this place several times now and have had wonderful experience everytime - well prepared and well served Italian food.
Some of the best pasta dishes I've tried in Sydney and excellent selection of wines to pair your meal with.
Nicely crusted pizzas. Not too thick, not very thin, just accurately right.
They also have a wide variety of side dishes, perfect for a table to share.
Very friendly staff. Reasonably priced menu.
A. K.
Pasta was a bit hard, otherwise sauce was good. The chairs are all bar stool style... Which isn't something I particularly like.
A. S.
Enjoyed happy hour (actually 2 hours) with $5 beers and pizza. Great buzz & atmosphere about the place but don't expect to have a quiet conversation between these times!
M. T.
This is a popular dinner spot in the cbd packed with city workers pretty much everyday of the week. Pricing is very reasonable and there is a great selection of wines on offer however the servings are not huge. You really can't go wrong with the pastas here and it's the perfect date spot. Bookings are recommended especially for groups.
J. F.
We were in the city for the turning on of the Christmas lights and dropped in late afternoon. My wife had a very tasty piece with well presented piece of Salmon which was served with a fennel and orange salad. I requested a vegan pizza. It was delicious. Some nice toppings with a generous amount of fresh herbs. The base was fresh and really tasty. In fact one of the best pizza bases I have had. Service impeccable, reasonably priced and good decor. Will defy be back.
A. T.
Service was excellent! Our waiter on Monday night (Martin) was great! He gave us great tips, recommended us some really lovely dishes and organised a 50% discount by suggesting their free loyalty program. And the food was, indeed, fresh - and fast! A great vibe and affordable option in the middle of the city.
G. H.
Staff are friendly and helpful and the food is fresh and delicious. It was a great choice for our celebrations. However, take your time when ordering to make sure they get the order correct. They didn’t read the order back to us and although we got the correct food, the drinks order was mixed up. There was no apology and when one of our group said they would accept the drink instead of sending it back to the bar for the correct drink we were not thanked but just informed we would have to pay full price for it rather than get it at the discounted happy hour price which had just started. I felt that a discount or apology would have been appropriate as it was the waitstaff member’s mistake.
J.
Quick to be shown our seats and waiters are friendly and easy going. It was quite noisy given that it was a Saturday night, but wasn’t too bothered by it. Food was very delicious but took quite some time getting to the table. We waited 45min for our meals however, which was a little too long! Will definitely be going back though.
A.
We had the wagyu which was nice but it came with a bunch of French fries in the plate. Would be nice if the menu was more creative and added mash or veggies.
The oatme was nice but lacked chips in the plate.
The pizzas looked great, will have to try them next time.
s. k.
The food was fine. We got the anti pasto platter which had a good selection. Divalo pizza was good too Not too impressed with the sneaky 10% Sunday surcharge. Not clear on the menu. Such sneaky stunts put me off the place. Probably won't be back.
A. B.
It's a lively, noisy place. The decor is pleasant if you don't mind the noise. It seems understaffed. The gnocchi I ordered was good, especially after some salt and pepper. Good like for a chain restaurant. Prices are not too high. OK place but nothing memorable.
J. L.
Nice food. Pizzas and pastas are great. The fries and prawns tasted fresh. Service is good and food comes out relatively quickly. Friday night is very busy, booking is recommended. Prices are a bit too expensive
J. T.
This is my favourite Italian restaurant in Sydney. Great ambiance and decor. Great place for date night or dinner with friends or family. They tend to book out, but you can wait at the bar for a table. We've never waited more than 30 minutes.
The pizzas are wood fired and are a thin base. They are generous with toppings and the pizzas are delicious. The Lamb Ragu is a favourite of mine. Nothing beats tender, fall apart on your fork or in your mouth lamb.
All ingredients are fresh and good quality. At times, with all of the staff rushing about, things can feel a bit rushed. On the flip side you never sit there hungry for long, as food is served fast.
S. P.
The food was ok for 3 out of 6 of us - pasta was undercooked for two, lacking in taste for another, service sour from one staff member but above all the NOISE was terrible - couldn’t hear ourselves think. Terrible acoustics! But great espresso martini’s and salads were tasty.
M. S.
A great meal on New Years Eve before watching the fireworks. All the dishes we had were exceptional and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and discreetly attentive even though the restaurant was busy. Service was prompt, something very much appreciated on the night. Recommended.
D. Z.
They were very amenable. Moved us to a lower table in the main (louder) room. Brought us olive oil upon request. Food was great. Arugula salad was well dressed. Pizza was delicious. Bathrooms were well designed. It was difficult to get the check, but I think that's the norm in Sydney. They will let you sit as long as you want undisturbed after you eat. No cellular signal! But, that could be a plus...
A. H.
Whilst the food and staff are good, the prices are slightly exorbitant for what you get. We ordered a medium pizza which was over thirty dollars and looked to be something off the kid’s menu it was so small. Their $5 happy hour is worth a try though- can recommend the Aperol Spritz.
J. H.
This restaurant has great ambience- lighting; music; table settings all exceptional. Excellent service attentive and initiative. We had their creamy Polenta; Fratelli salad and pizza; they were extraordinarily! Will definitely come for the food and service again. Complements to the chefs especially head chef Mr Gabor Genes for creating a fantastic menu. Five stars!
A. L.
Had lunch today, food and service great. HOWEVER, had to wait at the entry desk for about 10 minutes before being shown to our reserved table, it was not busy at 1.30pm but no staff to be seen. Due this long wait had time to look around. The entrance was filthy. I don't think the walls and floor had been washed since the restaurant was opened. Needs a thorough clean and repaint. Shame Mr Perry. Also the toilets are dingy and grubby and good luck putting on lipstick in this space, the mirrors over the sinks (stacked on dusty pebbles) too far away to be useful. The mirrors on the wall would be fine except they are grey glass and thanks to the lighting one appears to resemble Miss Haversham! A great pity because as I said food and waiter we very good.
E. B.
I really liked this spot. Lovely basement-level space that manages to feel cavernous and comfortable. Friendly service. The food was good, though perhaps a bit heavy on the oil. We had the raw zucchini salad (delicious), the arugula and Parmesan (really tasty), the Swordfish (pretty good), the pesto pasta (good, if a bit too oily). I would definitely go back, though I think I'd focus on the veggie-centric dishes in my ordering, as those seemed more balanced in their seasoning and execution.
W. W.
Went there for a business lunch with colleagues. It's not bad, but portions were very small, and food was above average. Staff were friendly and helpful, but it was peak lunch hour so everything was just a bit slow. Will not be going back though. Not a place to go to if you want to chat and catch up with friends as it was extremely noisy.
P. D.
Went on a weekday. Staff were friendly, but food was ok. It felt like it was lacking in flavour.
G. L.
This place is absolutely amazing... I eat here often and the staff are so friendly! The food is delicious as is the pizza! Its always fresh, greatly priced and the portions are just right. The house craft of red wine is only $9.50 and you get 3-4 glasses of wine which actually better than some of the more expensive wines! The food is also very well priced, it is just moments away from CQ - It does get busy so get there early!
R. I.
Lovely lunch, great options for all dietary requirements including seafood and nut allergy, gluten intolerant and vegetarian. Everyone enjoyed their options. Service was a little slow and they had run out of champers hence 4 stars.
E. B.
This is a great place to go with one or many friends, it is quite crowded but it help create the atmosphere. Don't let fool yourself as service is very prompt and drinks and food are very fast to arrive even when the place is full. Happy hours is probably the best time as you can enjoy quite a nice selection of drinks and a couple of nice pizzas as well. Thai is a place I go when I can.
Y. C. S.
Great Tiramisu. Good value for money on Mondays. I'm definitely becoming a Fratelli Friend.
V. D.
Have been here many times and will continue to return. Staff are excellent, food and portion size are great and atmosphere is buzzing all the time. They do happy hour from 3-6 mon - fri, we often go after work for cheap drinks and pizzas. Outside of happy hour time, the mains are delicious and decently priced. It's well known so there may be a queue to get in, but it's a large space so you won't be waiting too long. Highly recommend the arancini and Linguine, garlic, chilli, pangrattato pasta.
K. S.
Cool vibe. Lots of seating. Very, very nice staff all the way around. Food was tasty (not 5 Star stuff, but didn’t pretend to be either) and the kitchen was fast. Super reasonable prices for Sydney. Easy 5 minute or less walk from Marriott.
A. M.
I visited this location quite some time ago and was recently reminded how excellent the food , service and drinks were there . Forgot to give my review at the time but as they say , it’s never too late ! Buon appetite :)
J. C.
Great restaurant with very consistent quality food. I've eaten there every day since January 2 with a 'fratelli pass' which was a deal for January (one meal a day for every day in January), so it's been a good opportunity to test the food consistency. I've already eaten there many times before on a one-off basis but there was some good surprises when was the zucchini pizza which I didn't expect to be very good because there was no meat but it was actually very nice
M. N.
Absolutely amazing services with very experienced stuff. My family went to the Bridge street branch and got served by waiter called Martin and he knew the menu inside out. He helped us with food/drink choices and was very cheerful and quick.
A. A.
A really nice under ground restaurant that is great place to escape from the city. Their menu is really good with choice and items that you don't see everywhere else. I have the lamb ragu and it was just yummy. The only thing was it was a very small portion and I'd like to have more pasta rather than sauce. The seating is a lot stools and does make it easier for large groups to sit together but not the most comfortable.
D. W.
The pizza quality was excellent. The atmosphere was good. The prices are very reasonable. They run a lot of special deals, so be sure to check these out, we got two for one mains.
M. O.
Fratelli Fresh has an open plan basement that provides a low lit cool ambience. We started with a buffalo mozzarella and tomato salad, arancini balls, polenta and fig and honey burrata. The food was rather tasty but not the best Italian food you've eaten, however on the 50% off on a monday deal you can't go wrong and I would reccomend a visit.
We ordered at 8.50pm with the knowledge that the kitchen would be closing at 9pm. Our starteters drinks and mains all preceded to arrive at once. We asked for the mains to be removed and I asked for the manager, whose name was Andrea, to explain why all the food arrived at once. I confirmed that we were never informed that everything would come at once and that this was poor service.
We ordered our mains to go. I would return to the restaurant as Andrea offered a very satisfactory resolution and was extremely apologetic about the situation.
N. Z.
Super friendly staff, good service and great food! We’ve ordered 4 mains and 1 entree (stuffed zucchini flowers) - they were served quickly and the staff had checked up on us to see if we were happy. We were happy!
M. S. (.
One of my go to places.
Reasonably priced and nice food. The basement setting is pretty cool too, with an open kitchen (including wood fired pizza oven) and a bar. Sitting at the counter looking on as the food is being prepared makes it like a kitchen table.
Always has a good custom, which shows its popularity.
T. D.
The zucchini flowers, prosciutto pizza and gnocchi were delicious. Props to the kitchen!!! But the servers are not knowledgeable about the menu or that attentive. I asked what pangrattato was in the linguine prawn pasta and was told it was a type of cheese but when the dish arrived it was actually breadcrumbs.
When I asked for a gin and tonic with cucumber, it arrived with lime instead and flagging down the staff takes a while. Overall, a good experience but could have been better if the service was better. Food is quite good!
B. W.
The best pasta in Sydney.
Trust me, I'm not Italian! 🍕
The owners will hate me for this, but get there for the happy hour!! Best cheap pizzas, beer, garlic bread, wine and my fave, negronis.
C. L. B.
I've been coming here semi regularly for a couple years and generally service is great as are bevvys and food. Recently I was introducing some important stakeholders over lunch and we had a very inattentive waiter, but another staff member Lucas saved the day! Stepping in he made sure we were cared for and could focus on the meeting rather than wave down our waiter. Great team, he really made it a great experience.

We dined here recently as a group of 24 and the service was exceptional from start to finish. The appetisers were so delicious, focaccia,
Zucchini flowers, delightful and a few
good drops from a fabulous Prosecco, rose and Aperol Spritz. Pizzas were superb and the piece de resistance was a fabulous cake which we organised with the pastry chef for the special guest. Our experience went from high to even more phenomenal!

Great pizza from this place. Been there twice and ordered pizza for both times, did not disappoint at all. Wood fire pizza, the dough was very soft and great texture. The topping can be not enough as personally I enjoy more topping but still flavourful. Overall I rate this place 3.8/5😁
A. N.
I had lunch here once 2 months ago. I had lamb ragu gnocchi for lunch and it was nice. All staff are friendly, helpful. The place was not very busy, its decoration looked a bit old, a bit nostalgic. I'm sure it's a good place to have lunch for people working around that area.
A. L.
This feels like some of the most true Italian food in all of Sydney. Every time I've been to Fratelli Fresh, what I and my group have eaten has had a strong classic Italian bent to it. This place is great for a quick, quality lunch, but also good for a long dinner with a large group. Definitely try the starters too.
M. C.
Delicious Italian food. Been one of my favourite for years and was happy to report that it is still as good as ever. Although if you sit at the bar, you may find the kitchen somewhat disorganised and dirty. Hence four stars
R. C.
Went here with friends recently, my first time. It's on of those places you go to expecting a wait as it's so popular, we ended up at a table in about 20 mins which was good. Had pizza which was really good, along with the Banoffee pie which was amazing.
Lots of staff, but they are flat out so can take some time to get their attention, but they were providing great service. The restaurant itself was nice inside, quite large and they managed the waiting people pretty well with dedicated seating areas.
C. W.
Loved the statues and atmosphere, staff were friendly and accommodating, though occasionally difficult to get their attention. Focaccia on a pizza base is the favourite child I never had. Steak (medium rare) with salsa verde a bit dry and trout was good but needed far more than the 2 wedges of lime that came with it. The Fratelli Fresh Shiraz is surprisingly sweet!
W. N.
Great atmosphere for some lovely Italian wine. Great service, didn't take long for our food during lunch rush hour. The hand-made pasta Cabonara i had was awesome and great portion. The quality is great and the price is just right.
С. К.
Like all Italian, it's expensive... But the service here was also questionable. They gave my friend and I a glass of wine in a chamagne flute (petty, I know, but sloppy...) And minutes later they took them away and gave us new ones, which I think tasted worse. They didn't tell us what was wrong with it, they were too busy running around... It took us quite a while to order anything, and time for the food to arrive was a bit ridiculous... The food was good, which is the most important thing. Would I go back? Probably not.
G. S.
My family and I came here for my grandparents 70th wedding anniversary. We had a set menu dinner in the Barrel Room for 22 people. All three courses were absolutely fantastic and the staff were very attentive and helpful. I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an event venue.
B. C.
The food is basic Italian. Nothing you couldn't cook at home. It is good value for money and the service is very good. I've left tips several times as the service has been excellent and the staff deserve to be recognised for their hard work. A good city lunch during the week or a pre-show early dinner
P. W.
Really can't fault this place. Shared the meatballs, prawn linguine, anti pasti sharer and salami pizza and they were all excellent. Washed down with 2 bottles of house red and another drink each and came to $150. That's awesome value for a great evening meal!
K. C.
Basement venue, nice layout, but very poor acoustic management. Not recommended for big groups - 10% surcharge. Food was just delightful. Staff efficient, but not terribly friendly. Clean looking, smelt good
A. B.
Best fresh Italian good in Sydney. service was slightly slower but it's worth the wait. I went with some friends from work and it was a great time. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Cost was about average but the food was superb!
A. O.
Went on a Friday with a toddler and 3 adults. A bit noisy for some catch-up chat but it depends on you i guess (Four Frogs in CQuay would have a better atmosphere to chat just to compare :)). Service is good. Love their 5 dollar pizzas (2 flavors only, not sure if seasonal or permanent like that). Gnocchi pasta is good (if hot, not sure if we can ask to reheat).
Not for wheelchairs or prams but you can defo bring it down on a short flight of stairs.
No mobile signal/reception once you are inside and no wifi (so if there’s an emergency at home, you can’t be contacted). But not a big issue if you’re just dining for a couple of hours.
K. P.
Amazing happy hour deals. Great decor throughout all their franchises. The margherita pizza is a must-try!
L. C.
Food was delicious, however they brought the food and drinks to the wrong table twice. We tried to call the attention of the waitress as they brought the food out but they just gave it to the group next to us. When we questioned the staff as to where our food and drinks were after 20 minutes, they said that the food was there's despite the fact the group loudly said they didn't order it and kept eating it anyway. When the staff realised the mistake they took 2 drinks from their table and gave it to us. One of them I had seen someone from the other group take a sip of it, and it was awkward so I didn't bother to complain since it was busy enough but would have been more hygienic, if since they knew they gave the drinks to the wrong table to just leave with it the wrong table and get us new ones since they did the same thing with the food.
Would have given them 3 stars, but giving 4 because they apologised and gave us complementary food in place of the mistake.
If you're gonna come here during the last hour of happy hour, I'd recommend ordering at the bar, taking a photo of where you sit and show it to them so they don't get confused and also ordering two drinks so you don't have to wait as long as for the second drink.

Nice restaurant and decor. Very friendly staff however, not very helpful.. I asked the waiter what's good, and she pretty much said, everything. So I thought I'd be cultured and order something cool, which was the pear, honey, and blue cheese pizza. Omg it was not good. Should've stuck with something normal. Lesson learnt, Hawaiian pizzas all the way.
J. L.
Awesome pizzas and pastas. Very efficient service dine in or take out.
Pasta dish was a little on the salty side but rich and fantastic flavour.
M. H.
The food was good. Very generous portion sizes! My friend and I could easily share one pasta dish together. The service was excellent!
Z.
Unfortunately what was a great value Italian restaurant with a handful of locations (Bridge St, Macquarie St, Walsh Bay, Alexandria, Potts Point) is being quickly turned into a mass-market chain restaurant (9 and counting) which has inflated prices and deflated food.
Perfect example is the house wines - a glass of house red/white/rose would once set you back $4.50, it now costs $9.50.
The lamb ragu was my favourite dish...I don't know what to make of it anymore.
I. R.
Used to love this place !!! Our little spot (my partner and I first date was here) and food was amazing! Food is still really good but new owners have really made it feel so commercial and boring. Such a let down but would still recommend trying the pizza and lamb Ragu pasta as it's to die for !!
J. L.
Chanced upon this place for dinner. Like the open kitchen setting - that we could observe the chefs at work. Staff were courteous enough and efficient.
Pasta came undercooked (a little bit more and it would have been al Dante and perfect). Sauce and pasta seemed carelessly thrown together. Was disappointed by the standard of the pasta.
K. G.
Pasta specials were delicious. The service was wonderful. I had a $5 glass of wine for happy hour. Will definitely go back to try other food.
B. G.
Love the Tuesday $5 cocktails and pizza, however the rest of the menu is not very good value. In addition, I have had a few experiences where the staff are quite rude and it's really not a great experience when you also feel like you are paying too much for some very simple food.
E. E.
Had a great experience here. Table of three shared three mains and an enfree and were thoroughly impressed and satisfied with the quality and quantity. Staff are great and clarified any questions we had. Can be a little noisy, but good atmosphere and vibe.
M. Z.
Great set menu. Had the prawn linguini and banoffee (picture).

My friend and I went to Fratelli for a Fratelli Feast which is essentially a bottomless brunch. After a few hiccups (we made a booking for lunch but nowhere did it ask us whether we wanted to opt in for a Fratelli Feast) where the waiter told us we needed to have made a booking specifically for this fare, they were ever so accommodating about it and provided us this anyway. Although it may seem as though it is a significant outlay, $79 gets you far as it includes an antipasto plate, 2 mains to share and a dessert each. Included in the drinks package was Prosecco, negroni, aperol spritz, espresso martini as well as house beer and wine. I easily consumed $64 worth of drinks in the 2 hour sitting which wasn’t hard to do. Staff were attentive and the drinks came out swiftly. Would definitely come back and highly recommend. Thanks Fratelli Fresh!
D. R.
Amazing food, authentic and fresh. When I crave quality pizza pasta and salad I come here. Friendly and helpful staff consistently provide quality service and recommendations. Personally feel this restaurant is better than the fratelli fresh in Westfield (Pitt street). Highlights for me are the fried zucchini flowers and the crab spaghettini with chilli garlic and parsley. All pizzas are delicious but be mindful authentic = no pineapples
K. K.
Gets super busy at lunch with all the office workers popping in for a meal. Great selection of tasty dishes. Fairly efficient service. I like the basement atmosphere too, feels kind of secret (although it's a big place so the secret is shared with a lot of other people!).
D. C.
Fratelli Fresh has a nice authentic when you enter as it is unlike any other Pizza restaurant. The menu is great, they have big range of gourmet pizzas. The desert menu is just as good. The staff are quite friendly and quite approachable.
B. N.
Great little unknown casual restaurant and I have lived here for 6 years. Fresh tasting and flavoursome food. Would happily recommend for a couple of large group for entertainment. I will be taking clients and guests there in the future
L. F.
A great spot and atmosphere for a quick well priced Italian meal. Service is always good and the Fratelli friend membership/key ring helps with well priced drinks.
A. A.
Fratelli is a great option when you don't know what you feel like eating. The food is tasty and the service is great!! Despite being busy, all staff that tended to us were upbeat, super accommodating and friendly.
K. L.
Good set menu, and great food
N. P.
Nice food and friendly staff. But we were given a 2 hour sitting and our food took over an hour to arrive. Also quite a noisy venue and hard to hear the people next to you
J. R.
Great choice of food. Always fresh as the name says.
It can be hard to get a table as they don't book for small groups.
But, the service is always good. The bar staff have great humour.
g. t.
Easy to miss, the unassuming basement entry tells nothing of the unique urban eatery tucked away underneath. This Fratelli Fresh, much like the other branches, serves up simple, fresh, modern Italian cuisine.
Flavours are good and the seasonal menu always hits the spot. Grab a seat at the bar to get in on the action. The buffalo cheese bar is unique to this FF branch & one of the highlights, in my opinion.
Zucchini flowers with 5 cheeses are a regular fave of mine as is the spaghetti with prawns, garlic & breadcrumbs.
It gets a little noisy during peak hours so be prepared to shout a bit to be heard.
A. T.
First time in this branch. Great Prosciutto di Parma pizza. White base, fantastic cheese and tasty ham.
Followed up with a super light tiramisu.
The only downside is that it's a very noisy restaurant so conversation becomes difficult at times.
C. C.
Had lunch today, service was great. And had an even better waitress named Florencia. Her smile and personality made our experience delightful.
K.
I ordered the 'Orecchiette' which had broccolini listed as one of the ingredients, but when the dish came out they had replaced it with broccoli. It would have been nice if they had informed me that they had run out of broccolini instead of just replacing it with broccoli and hoping that I would either not notice or care.
Apart from that, the pasta is decent - not the best pasta I've had, but possibly worthy of a second visit.
J. K.
A visit to Sydney last month and we were fortunate in finding Fratelli Bridge Street. No tables but a seat at the bar which gave us amazing service by Michelle ( who it seems is the bar manager ) - Despite being very busy she spent time to help us with the menu and was really outstanding.
Highly recommend the food and excellent service.
Thanks for making our visit great.
F. B.
Tonight was my second venture to this particular 'Fatetlli Fresh', having had an incredibly pleasent time the first round. However tonight was not great. I do understand this is a busy reataurant, and I do think there are adequet staff numbers, however no one seemed to be on the ball tonight.
Having not booked a table, my friend & I waited in the designated 'waiting area' which honestly could fit maybe 4-5 more tables.
So maybe the owners should rethink the restaurant layout.
Whilst waitng for a table, we ordered a bottle of wine & contemplated on someting to nibble before being seated. About 20min later we were happily seated by the service line, which i love! as you get a close look at the chef's & their intriquete handiwork. However no wine arrived for some time, so we repeated our order & added a plate of olives for good measure, plus our mains 'duck rague' & 'lamb rague'.
Another 10 min later & the wine arrives!! (30mim)
However once poured, I read the bottle & its a 'shiraz' & not the 'cab merlot' I take a sip for good measure, just to give it a go (but it's a nogo). So we have to wait to get the waitresse's attention again, we get the correct bottle (hooray i can drink!) mind you my friend scores two glasses of wine, so she's pretty dam happy.
Then about 20 min later we cancel the non-existant olives! Our mains arrive. the 'duck rague' is a bit bland... apparently the 'lamb rague' is lovely say's my friend.... fyi. i had the 'beef rague with peas' a few months ago it was amazing, im not a synic.
Once we finish our meal, however we realise we are both still really hungry & still have half a bottle of wine left ( i'm a bit slower at drinking ). we try to yet again unsecsefully grab the attention of a waitress, so instead we speak directly to the 'pizza chef' who is now my 'Fratelli Fresh' legend. We have a pizza in front of us within ten minutes, & could not be happier.
'Fratelli Fresh' I have no qualms with you, your staff are friendly, the food is good, I can just afford your cheapest bottle of wine, but please focus on improvung staff moral, it will result in better service.
L. M.
Great food especially for a vegetarian. The zucchini flowers are delicious and available all day. The desserts are excellent too. Can get very busy though, and sometimes getting a coffee is slow. It is the best coffee though.
a. f.
Food is great, staff good but you are crammed like sardines and with no soft furnishings the noise is deafening. Definitely not conducive to conversations. They've gone a little too hard for the bomb shelter look and I find it a bit harsh on my senses. There are much better examples of this chain elsewhere in Sydney.
S. H. R.
This place is an all time favourite for my team lunch. We visit there atleast once a weak.
The pizza and pasta here are amazing. The pizza base is so thin and very tasty.
The pasta quantity is very high and very tasty
D. Y.
Great setting downstairs and much larger than you think. Pizza was good and my colleague really liked the meatball pasta. Service was friendly and efficient.
N. C.
The first time I went there, everything was perfect. Food and service were good.
The second time was totally different. My pasta ragu came out really salty and then I suffered from food poisoning a few hours later. Not sure if that's from the pasta or the banoffee pie I had for dessert. Will not go back and will certainly warn everyone I know of the experience.
A. H.
Good prices at happy hour. The crowd noise is really loud! The music they play doesn't help. It's difficult to have a conversation. Otherwise the food is good.
T. Y.
Easily the best pizza in sydney. Loud, echo-y basement seating, but a great place to hideaway. Note: zero cell phone reception, good thing if you want to focus on the meal and your company.
C. W.
Where do I start. . .I wanted to love this place as it has been recommended a few times but it fell short.
Booked for 8 ppl on Friday night(that was an exercise in itself)
Got seated at the round table down the back and under 2 loud speakers. The volume was to the point where you couldn't hear the person next to you speak. Asked the waitress (3times repeated as she couldn't hear us) if it was possible to turn it down slightly and the answer was a flat out no! I get that its Fri night but we were at a restaurant not a bar!
Thought the menu was slightly limited in the pasta as didnt have ravioli, tortellini or risotto on offer. Food came out quickly. . .good but nothing to write home about. But that Banoffee pie!! Amazing!!
Prob wouldn't go back. . .well maybe for just dessert!
S. B.
Delicious food and drinks. Staff were very accommodating and looked after my kids despite being super busy. Quite noisy which was expectable on a pumping Friday night.
R. A.
A popular restaurant. Food cooked in front of you if you want to watch. A bit frantic with staff racing around trying to serve large numbers of diners. Hard seats. Food good and reasonably priced for the city.
J. C.
The pasta was mind blowing 🤤❤️, nice ambience, cool place.
S. D.
Very crowded, disproportionately expensive, somewhat mediocre service. But! The food itself was solid, menu selection broad and solid drinks menu. Wouldn't go there out of pocket, but fine for a business expense.
A. C.
Loved the service. Went there for lunch, I ordered the daily special and it was worth the price and even more I got a garlic bread for free. Pretty crowded so you might need to make a reservation
S. H.
Great food. Good prices. Fantastic staff.
Venue can be a bit hot though.
Perhaps they can have some works to be carried out on their air conditioning,
it'll surely help.
J. G.
Excellent place for Pizza. I am more of a vegeterian fan its quite rare to get good ones. Really like this one tough. Ambience is quite good too. might have to book in advance though, it get tough to get a place by lunch.
M. H.
You haven't lived until you've had their Banoffee Pie. It's so good. One of the staff members saw my friend and I sharing one and said "Is that your second one?", to which we said no...
She explained that she couldn't believe how long it took for us to eat one when she just inhales them and takes them to eat on the train home from work.
Other than that, sit at the kitchen bar and watch the food being prepared. The polenta is a highlight, but the pastas and salads are great.
Also keep an eye out for the cocktail specials.
L. H.
We generally love Fratteli Fresh but last nights's meal in Bridge St was very disappointing. My pasta ragu was dry and rather than pieces of meat, the meat had been blended into the sauce to create a dry paste rather than a sauce. My husband had rissoto which was not creamy and was very bland. My meal was replaced when I complained. Having bought tge set price meal they tried to charge us again for dessert. Not hurrying back. Would head to the restaurant in Sydney Westfield, much better.
Z. D.
Great food with generous servings. Make sure to book a table as some of the walk in dine space is not very comfortable. The tables are at an awkward height that your knees with hit them...but the food makes up for it.
M. K.
Calamari : was REALLY good
Witlof salad : very bitter leaves going brown at the ends with lovely sauce, apple slices and bitter walnuts so I left most of the leaves.
Lasagna Al Forno : disappointing as it was lots of pasta and white sauce with precious little meat, topped with lashings of tomato sauce and cheese
House Rosé : unremarkable but perfectly drinkable
Lemon & Raspberry sorbets: approx 2 scoops of each served in cartons?!!!... one would have been enough but I forced myself to finish both as they were very nice despite the unimaginative presentation.
The bill was presented with an erroneous extra charge for a $15 glass of wine! After pointing out the error it was corrected without any fuss.
I would advise a careful check of the bill before payment.
C. J.
Great food, service was okay at best, very hot when kitchen is busy! Waitress wearing all black and a choker necklace was so rude. Better service at McDonalds. SHAME. Great Pizza though!
C. B.
Great service and quality food
D. C.
Fratelli Fresh has a nice authentic when you enter as it is unlike any other Pizza restaurant. The menu is great, they have big range of gourmet pizzas. The desert menu is just as good. The staff are quite friendly and quite approachable.
C. J.
Great food, service was okay at best, very hot when kitchen is busy! Waitress wearing all black and a choker necklace was so rude. Better service at McDonalds. SHAME. Great Pizza though!
K. M.
Food was delicious! Bookings recommend. Service seemed mediocre. The food and bar made up for it.
G. v. D.
Very good waiter, wine was amazing, just the set menu buffet was too heavily weighted with ragu.
L.
Although it's subterranean Fratelli Fresh has a good atmosphere and aesthetic. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly and professional and the food is magnificent.
B. R.
I had the beef cheeks and was one of the best meals I've ever had
M. C.
Tucked away beneath, Fretelli Fresh is spacious with delicious steak and good cheesecake. It may be a bit loud, but it's festive and cosy.
映.
taste is fantastic. also customer service is amazing!!! thanks
K. M. (. K.
Nice food... but crazy loud.. its in a basement and the ceilings are concrete and i felt like i was yelling the entire time! But service was good and for a lunch time business lunch was on par with the higher end restaurants. Mostly suits but not a formal place.
S. S.
The food was good, service was great. However, make sure you ask for table water and check whether it costs, it ended up costing us $10.50 per bottle (2 bottles) as we forgot to ask...
E. L.
Food was good. Was able to pre-order for a large group. Very noisy so hard to hear people except those sitting right next to me.
P. R. G. U.
Friendly and awesome restaurant! Many people of different countries and ages enjoying the drinks & food between a indescriptible moods, chating, laughing, living! un the middle of a old and fancy basement showing 60's italianas Stars... Have youvever seen another like that!?
A. S.
Decent Italian food. You already know what is on the menu when you walk in. The pasta and pizza is not bad but won't blow your mind in any way. It's a safe bet.
L.
Excellent food and atmosphere! One of my favourite spot for for Italian food, staff is always very attentive and able to provide recommendations. With Fratelli Fresh you can never go wrong!
K. L.
Busy atmosphere - but to be expected in Sydney CBD at lunch time.
In the basement of 11 Bridge St, the restaurant's space has a bit of character. The faux marble statues are a bit much in my opinion, especially that one table that looks like it has 5 of them surrounding it.
Unfortunately there arancini wasn't available, both a bit disappointing, and surprising given that it was 12:30pm lunch time on a Wednesday. However, the duck ragu was excellent. Service was good, though the staff's attentiveness in general could be better. It did take a bit of effort to get the attention of them as they moved past, though our waiter was very good when we did have her attention.
D. T. b.
waz a bit disappointed with the prawn pizza. It came out luke warm and because the a/c was very cold in there the pizza went cold very quick. Also i was expecting bigger prawns. The place draws a big croud though so they must be doing something right. I would try it again because i really want to enjoy this place. Will repost after the next visit
H. T.
Still my favourite Italian restaurant in the CBD. The food is always made well and the atmosphere is great. It's a little on the noisy side, so it's only good for casual occasions.
N. B.
When my partner and I went it was super busy and half the regular chefs were at their new location setting up so our meal was less than stellar for the price we payed. Hopefully next visit will be better
R. N.
I've just newly discovered fratelli fresh and I'll be going very frequently.
Tasty, reasonably price food.
The staff are always very welcoming and happy.
J. S.
Best seafood linguine I've had. Large and juicy prawns, lots of oysters, large softly textured squid. Really, really good.
T. B.
There is something about finding that little place off the beaten path and Fratelli Fresh matches that bill. Right off of Bridge St. and in what seems to be a basement right off the road you feel like someone special going it. This is only the tip of the iceberg. The food is Amazing!!! I highly recommend the Grilled Quail. If you've never had it try it, you won't be disapointed.
S. H.
Great food, as always. So fresh and tasty. The service is impeccable and the wine list is great with a good selection by the glass and well priced.
Try the salads! Yum.
B. P.
Food was great but the service was a bit lacking. Took almost 20-30 min to get our first drink. Could have been where we were situated but it almost seemed like the service was blind to us!
M. G.
Ordered the pulled lamb pizza (Wednesday 2 for 1 special) that was okay. It felt a bit dry for my liking.
M. W.
Fantastic experience with colleagues for an after work dinner and drinks.
Max was our server and handled our wild bunch marvelously.
We enjoyed wine, entrees, mains and desserts.
M. H.
Service was good, but food took a very long time and there's really anywhere good to sit. I do love the polenta Gorgonzola dish, one of my all time favourites.
H. D.
Really hard to rank Fratelli. I did not find anything disappointing here, nor spectacular. Beautiful place but average food (I went for set menu, may be individual items could have been better)
H. p.
Food was nice but the service was sloppy and half of the cocktails weren't available as they "hadn't had their alcohol delivery this week" and it was a Saturday night. We were also to the side of the kitchen and it smelt like damp tea towels
H. B.
Love the food here and the banoffee pie is to die for. Can be hard to hear when busy though. Must book to ensure you're not waiting a while for a table.
J. M.
First class food and service including an excellent pizza selection. Some excellent food and beveridge deals available. A great atmosphere!
z. s.
Nice place and tasty food. Good for casula meet ups, if you are into talking then this is not the right place as its always crowded and you can't hear what the other person is talking.
H. L.
The banoffee pie here is a must! So creamy and smooth. Not too sweet either. This is one of the Italian restaurants that I think tastes the most authentic and not americanised/commercialised.
M. C.
The stuffed zucchini flowers entree is to die for, so is the crispy polenta. This is a very lively place and the staff is beyond friendly. Great for a couple's date in the city.
K. W.
Good fun and great cheap pizzas and drinks during happy hour. Pizzas are a good size for ladies - not too big and not overloaded.
P. C.
Nice atmosphere but overpriced. My four cheese pizza was amazing but my girlfriend's pasta with prawns was very disappointing...no taste. Plenty of cheaper alternatives in Sydney.
K. H.
Zucchini flowers were great, lamb ragu was fairly average. Intimate space but quite loud and difficult to hear others even sitting relatively closely.
D. F.
To get a true taste of why the Fratelli Fresh brand has been so successful in Sydney, you need to try two dishes. The first is the rich and flavoursome duck ragu, which will soon become your pasta dish of choice. The second is the banoffie pie - a creamy banana caramel dessert that is the perfect way to end your meal. You'll come back to for the extensive Italian wine list (Nero d'avola anyone?) and the specials which take advantage of in season produce. The Bridge Street version is situated in an amazing well-lit basement that has helped bring life to the Circular Quay end of the city to see it become a foodie destination in its own right. Mid-week get there before 12.30pm if you want a lunch table and all guests need to arrive at the same time. Worth it though.
J. F.
Amaaaazing food but just so hard to get bookings. Certainly not cheap, but I highly recommend the shrimp seafood pasta and the banoffe pie is simply /to die for/. I have it every time I go!
J. T.
Wow. 4-6pm happy hour is a must do. $5 negroni, Pinot noir, margarita(the pizza) and espresso martini, all for $20! Unbelievable. Happy face.
M. C.
Tucked away beneath, Fretelli Fresh is spacious with delicious steak and good cheesecake. It may be a bit loud, but it's festive and cosy.
G. v. D.
Very good waiter, wine was amazing, just the set menu buffet was too heavily weighted with ragu.
N. R.
It's always really busy but it's big enough that you can always get a table pretty quick. The pizzas are ridiculously good and it feels really authentically Italian.
S. S.
Not a big fan of restaurants with loud music. Calamari and House Baked Focaccia were great however the Bisteak was tough and sinuey.
L.
Although it's subterranean Fratelli Fresh has a good atmosphere and aesthetic. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly and professional and the food is magnificent.
P. S.
Tasty food, great atmosphere and nice service. A reliable place. Although probably better for groups....too loud for a romantic meal
A. P.
Fratelli always serves up extremely tasty trattoria style Italian food. It's set in a great basement area, with an open kitchen where you can see all the action.
E. O.
Good food in a nice environment
S. Y.
Great service, average food (had set menu) and beware of the 10% Sunday surcharge. Still water will also set you back $10.50...
J. F.
The best italian there is in Sydney, by far.
Sitting at the bar will give you the best experience and allow you to see the food as it comes off the pass and out of the wood fired oven!
Best, italian in Sydney. period.
H. G.
Opened until 10. I really enjoyed the linguini. My wife's lasagna wasn't as good as she makes.Staff are efficient and friendly.
G. B.
Really great experience. The staff were so friendly and really attentive. The food was delicious and well-priced. Was a lovely atmosphere.
J. C.
Awesome cozy place for afterhours drinks or catch-up with friends. They have happy hour on weekdays with great deals for you to try first before coming back with loved ones.
T. N.
Good good. Served fast. The only thing I didn't like is I had a feeling that the staff was trying to get rid of us as soon as soon as we finished our meals.
V.
Excellent weekday lunch menu and pricing. Good food taste, aroma and presentation. Would highly recommend for a working lunch.
D. W.
Great food at reasonable prices. Classic Italian dishes. Bookings essential. Part of the Fratelli quality restaurant chain.
D. M.
Went before closure, rushed, because we had to order quick,... Four of us, first meal came out quick we had to wait 15 minutes for three other meals to come, were cold as well... bit was appointed about this place, expected better quality...
P. G.
Love the pizzas here. They taste fresh and it takes less than 2 mins for the pizza to get done once you have decided and got all the toppings selected.
E. H.
Hard to go past Fratelli Fresh for fresh made pasta executed well. Try and grab a seat at the bar overlooking the kitchen, it's a great show!
M. S.
Food is decent, but service is always pretty average. I don't think it's as good as it used to be, but worth getting in early for their specials.
A. S.
Good food, good wine, nice atmosphere and polite staff...they let you stay until 10pm as long as you have ordered by 9pm... Last entry is 930pm
A. B.
The food was delicious and the service great!
S. R.
This was a nice little find on a trip to Sydney. Had the Lamb Ragu and it definitely hit the spot. The spaghetti marinara was a little bland though. More salt, pepper and chilli needed.
E. C.
Service was busy but great !
It is a noisy place, but not to the point where it's annoying.
The pizza was lovely and the prices okay.
Would return :-)
G. R.
Best happy hour in Sydney🥃🍸👌
A.
Nice food. Good value for money. We used 30% offer from the eat club app. Try it
C. C.
Happy hour from 4 to 6. Great pasta and pizza. Service is better than most places in Sydney.
E. M.
Pricey but good. Demographic seemed to be predominantly younger, well-off singles who live in the city. Surprisingly large place. Too loud for me, but that's just a personal opinion.
E.
Food was good but nothing to get excited about. Very, very loud. Food took a long time to come but it was hot and yummy
c. d.
The food was cold but customer service was on par. The food is overpriced although the happy hour seems to be a better deal.
S. B.
Service is ok. And too noisy. If you are looking for a conversation this is not the place to be in. However food is great and ambience is quite dark and hep
M. M.
Had a great time eating delicious food with excellent value on the happy hour food and drink specials. I would return again for that promotion!
L. C.
Excellent food and atmosphere, would recommend to friends. Our waiter was French which was refreshing to see in an Italian restaurant :)
C. T.
Fratelli Fresh is always a good place to go to for Italian. Especially love their wood fired pizzas.
D. B.
Average, disappointing & overpriced.
While the food is ok & service is nice, the food & wine are severely overpriced for the quality.
B. B.
Not one of my favourites though but it's a nice quiet place to have a few drinks. Service can be pretty slow even if the place is almost empty.
L. B.
Bit expensive, but the pasta was nice. I went with a group and we enjoyed the atmosphere. If you've got a few people make sure to book.
A. U.
Decent Italian in the city, not the greatest food you'll ever have, but it's okay. The wine list on the other hand is great!
P. T.
Great food ,good drink, excellent service shs.e you didn't know how to run the Melbourne cup sweep,,or at least tell patrons how you ran it,I wouldn't participate if we only knew you played 1st place,🤨
A. A.
Great atmosphere, great company, great food! We really enjoyed our team lunch. Recommended+
C. C.
Love it!, super fast service, delicious food, great portions, they have different promotions everyday
J. R.
Spacious restaurant with nice decor. Large menu but they specialise in Pizza and Pasta. Food is okay.
R. T.
Food is nice but found it odd that if we wanted to sit as a group there would be a surcharge. Ended up splitting into two groups sitting next to each other.
W. G. J.
Nice italian food.
Like: Interesting decor. Value for wines by glass
Dislike: Standard Italian selection
W. R.
Very large servings. The pasta was pretty good but the crispy polenta entree was excellent
M. K.
We ordered prawn and garlic pizza. The pizza was dry, cold and can't really taste the garlic.
T. N.
I'm a fratelli fan. The service is poor, but food is delicious and wine is cheap (the house wine is delicious). Don't leave without trying the banoffee pie!
C. W.
The atmosphere cannot be beaten and you may have to wait for an hour but it is worth it. Just relax and enjoy a glass of wine for $3.50 while you wait!
N. W.
Most amazing pizzas and shoestring fries. The decor and atmosphere are also lovely too.

Casual Italian dining. It's inexpensive and the food is quite tasty. It can get very busy and loud.
C. P.
Late lunch so on a limited menu while the kitchen staff had their break, but had a very good pizza and a wonderful salad.
A. V.
Food was good (not great) but service was terrible! Over 90 minutes to get 2 pastas & a pizza!
L. A.
Food was great however the service staff were weirdly rude when we requested to sit at a table instead of on bar stools. There were quite a few tables available too.
K. M.
Food was delicious! Bookings recommend. Service seemed mediocre. The food and bar made up for it.
A. L.
has to the bestest, greatest value one hat restaurant in town. pasta to die for. house wines worthy of those in europe. pity i don't live next door!
L. L.
Love this place every time we go. The food and wine are always delicious. Definitely get the Banoffee Pie, amazing!
L. P.
Great food and atmosphere, I enjoyed the dimmed lighting inside, but the food took a while to be served
T. K.
Great service and loved the pizza. Loud, but still easy to talk. An easy walk to the Opera House
A. O.
Food was good. Service ok-ish. Forgot half our order and took effort to get waitress attention.
J. L.
Really good food but a busy place. Lovely decor, we had a great dinner there
j.
Nice food. Nothing special but food was good. Waiter did his job. Nothing above and beyond. Good spot
M. C.
Had a "Crispy Polenta" and "Tartufo Pizza" and both were just delicious. Friendly staff and amazing food.
O. S.
One of my favourite Italians at this end of the city, food is great and servings big, staff is really nice, good vibe and really cheap wine!
T. A.
The best Italian restaurant I've tried in my whole life
G. C.
Fantastic pizza and pasta at this place in the city. Sometimes there's a wait but you can grab a drink or snacks while you do
c. m.
Compared to the Italian places in chiswick and drummoyne it's a let down food wise. Atmosphere is great and amazing wine
S. M.
Fratelli Fresh - finally a non-fine dining, none-too-fancy place to eat in Sydney's city. The walls are festooned with things, the food is fabulous and the service is fair to middling.
S. D.
Awesome. Full stop. Visiting from interstate. FantasTic service. Really friendly. Great food. Cosy atmosphere. Highly recommend.
T. G.
Loud and very vibrant atmosphere with the usual amazingly delicious Fratelli food. I love the Tuna Salad!
R. S.
Nice place for Italian cuisine.. daily specials are really nice.. great for team lunches
K. S.
I would have never know this was a franchise, authentic good food and service and their chili martini is the bommmbbb.. I'm craving one right now !!!!
H. O.
Been there for a couple of team lunches, a bit overpriced meals and drinks but service is good and Italian beers are fantastic
R. W.
Delicious, busy not too loud. Great spot for winter dinners
M. M.
Delicious food. Good vibes. But it is always packed and service can be a be slow.
E. T.
Good food, good bear but was quite crowdy. Not recommend for dates but best for weekend hang out with your gang
N. C.
Music was a bit loud but overall experience was awesome. They got some skills in Italian food...!!!
d. r.
Came in for a family event, we indulged in a feast of pizza's pastas and salads
The standouts were the crab pasta and the Diablo pizza
M. J.
Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. It's all delicious. Staff struggle a bit with special events though.
A. G.
The CBD's no.1 happy hour (hands down). Great drinks and food, though can get a little loud when it's busy.
A. P.
Bit pricey but good food. Kind of place you lose track of time and just keep eating and drinking. Anti pasto platters are hugely generous.
C. K.
Good food, great service & nice ambience. The chefs at work during lunchtime is a sight to behold.
M. R. Z.
Crab pasta was highly satisfying. Tiramisu was average. Service decent.
E. B.
I am a hard Italian Critic, but the mozzarella bar here is all I need. And the peach Bellini. A work lunch is complete.
J. D.
Great food. Unique location & venue. Good wine selection. Highly recommend.
G. M.
I had Bolognese pasta, the pasta tasted fresh but the sauce was average, have had much better elsewhere
E. A.
Great food and staff - tasty cocktails too! Loved the decor.
B. F.
Noisy when busy but great service and food. Try the 3-6pm Happy Hour weekdays.
P. G.
Always a fun experience. Good service, great food and reasonably good wine list.
r. m.
The atmosphere is so fine. Quality pizzas and the staff is welcoming.
j. h.
Always great service, pasta and drinks. Eat at the bar or a table. I tried the tagliatelle, bellissimo!
T. A.
The restaurant is nice, I ordered the risotto and it was very bland, a bit disappointing, others said their food was good though.
P. S.
Food was good but far too noisy to have any reasonable conversation.
L. W.
Best pasta and pizza place!! They don't take bookings so sometimes the line is very long, but well worth the wait.
M. G.
Brilliant food. Brilliant service. So sad we don't have any in Queensland.
D. V.
Great happy hour! Service pretty slow.... Nice pizzas
J. V.
The food was good however it took ages to arrive. The guy at reception was rude
M. B.
Happy hour 3pm - 6pm!
N. N.
Great pizzas and even better beer and wine.
O. O.
Finally guys a restaurant that made me feel like home! 10/10 best pizza ever
V. D.
Have been here many times and will continue to return. Staff are excellent, food and portion size are great and atmosphere is buzzing all the time. They do happy hour from 3-6 mon - fri, we often go after work for cheap drinks and pizzas. …
H. W.
Bresaola and burrata pizza is a must try. The burrata is creamy delicious.
A. T.
First time in this branch. Great Prosciutto di Parma pizza. White base, fantastic cheese and tasty ham.
Followed up with a super light tiramisu. …
B. G.
Love the Tuesday $5 cocktails and pizza, however the rest of the menu is not very good value. In addition, I have had a few experiences where the staff are quite rude and it's really not a great experience when you also feel like you are paying too much for some very simple food.
W. J.
Good antipasto plate, the other food ok. Noisy.....but if youn like that kind of thing...
S. R.
Food is always great, had a bit of a wait, not always great for a lunch hour.
D. E.
Pizzas are tasty but oily, pastas are plain but not oily, healthy.
R. M.
Good chain restaurant. Maybe deteriorating a bit. Good wine list. Service solid.
H. N.
Tried pizza, it was okay. Not bad, not too great either. Ambience is good, though.
H. W.
Bresaola and burrata pizza is a must try. The burrata is creamy delicious.
B. C.
Decent food but expensive and they squash you into little stools if you're less than 4 people
H. K.
My favourite place for pasta. Great atmosphere and location. Perfect during winter.
