Delightfully tasty french toast. Good balance of many different tastes. The savory omelette was average. The pink latte was very tasty even though i was initially worried about the beetroot taste. Tumeric latte was average. Great customer service. Very friendly.

Recently started to go plant-based and was very excited to try this cafe out as there are so many nice google reviews and the food looked very pretty. Was counting the time last Sunday and think I was the first customer of the day:) Ordered Turmeric Ginger latte with soy milk & Veggie big breakky. Enjoyed every bit of it, especially the scrambled tofu! Loved the conversation with the cafe owners and they are super friendly. One of million reasons I love Maroubra, nice food & friendly ppl:)

Amazing café, my favourite place for brunch in Maroubra and a well needed alternative to the junk food that you mostly get in Maroubra. The menu offers all the classic brunch items (omelette, acai, croissant...) but also offers a lot of special things. I definitely recommend this one to everyone who like healthy food. Great place.

Supeeeer good !!! I went two weeks ago with my boyfriend and we tried an amazing vegan sandwich 🥪 and then I chose an omelet thinking everything was vegan but it is not !!! Came here for a Sunday brunch with my partner and was not disappointed. Food was beautifully presented, super tasty, packed with flavour! We had two of the super smoothies which were great and some savoury stuff and the french toast for dessert. Nearly rolled out of there, but it was well worth. This place has now become my new regular cafe spot!

Ordered one the most expensive dishes on the menu the pancakes. I've had them before and they were good. The second serve came with half the sauce and cream, barely a tablespoon. On asking for a little more sause I was informed that it would cost extra. Extra! These are $20 pancakes. No butter and little sause they were very hard to finish, but $20 pancakes I'm not leaving anything on the plate. Customer service 0. Crazy!!

Always love coming to this little cafe! Delicious and wholesome food and so many great vegan options on the menu. I still haven't tried every dish yet! It's also nice to support a small family business. They are quite popular and very busy on weekends so expect to be waiting a bit for a table and for your food but it is worth it. Staff are very friendly and attentive. There was only one occasion I had where staff were a bit rude but they were flat out busy so I expect they were just feeling the pressure. It would be a good idea if they could add ingredient cards in the cabinet of desserts to list any allergens like peanuts, wheat etc as when asked what they contain there was only one person who knew and they didn't seem 100% certain of what was in some things. Apart from that I would recommend this cafe to vegans and non-vegans, it's one of my favourites in Sydney 💓

Because of the amazing reviews my wife decided to try this place. Great service and friendly staff. Their prices are slightly higher than the average cafe, but they have good quality ingredients and you can tell by just looking at the food that they’ve put in a lot of thought in to preparing it. This is a small cafe, I would say it is suitable for couples, but not for large groups. The wait time for us, from order to table for croissant is about 5 minutes, coffees about 10 minutes and the breakfast main took slightly longer to arrive, about 30 minutes. We had a Lavender Latte and a normal Latte, although the coffees are average, the Lavender Latte smells incredible and its syrup isn’t overpowering sweet, I would recommend it to those lavender lovers out there. For food, we had a croissant and Green Tofu Scramble. The croissant was excellent, but the Green Tofu Salad was a bit disappointing. My wife is allergic to onions and have advised them when making the order, however it still came with onions chopped in to the tomatoes, the tofu was overly salty on its own, maybe it’s supposed to compliment the diced tomatoes, but that wasn’t an option for my wife because of the onion. Although this experience fell below our expectations, we did notice the other beautifully crafted dishes that other patrons ordered, so we will definitely visit this place again.

Perfect coffee temp and taste! The cheese and tomato croissant was seasoned and warm and fluffy. These guys know what they’re doing. So grateful that they get the simple things right. Will definitely be returning!

A good range of vegetarian and vegan food, but service is a little all over the place despite being friendly. As a table of 4, two dishes were brought out 15 mins after the first dishes - meaning two people had finished by the time the other two dishes were out. They were all burgers so would imagine timing should be easy. Despite specifically saying vegan, one burger was brought out with Halloumi in (which wasn't ordered as my friend is vegan).

Best Vegetarian food in the Eastern suburbs!!! Honestly so impressed with the plating and the flavours, everything was scrumptious from the schnitzel sandwich that we had to the pancakes and burger. The owners are the loveliest ladies, always friendly and smiling. Keep up the great work ladies and if you haven't tried this place yet go support this mother/daughter business!!

The best food I’ve had in a long time! If you live in Maroubra or a local in the area this is really a hidden gem. The staff are informed about what dishes can be done gluten free or changed to be vegan friendly. Everything was super tasty, there was 4 of us and we ordered a variety of dishes. This includes the vegan burrito, the Schnitz, pancakes and one of the burgers. We will definitely be back to eat our way through the menu. Service was nice and coffee was also good! Thanks guys :)

Being a vegetarian this place is haven for me. I have been here at least four times and never been disappointed. I like their curly fries a lot. The service is good and they have quite varied menu. Another thing that sets them apart is their water tank. It's filled with cucumber, melon and mint and the flavour that it gives to water is very refreshing.

Amazing little vegetarian/vegan cafe! The food is delicious and the staff are friendly and always up for a chat. I had the Pancakes, and my two friends had the Herbivore falafel bowl and Eggs Benny, everything was perfect. I've been here a few times now and I would highly recommend coming here early on the weekend or during the week ( as its quieter) if you want to secure yourself a seat as theres often queues! I can seriously see why though because I will continue coming back for the awesome food!

Great vegan options! Both the falafel burger and the pancakes! We come here often. Highly recommend it, although sometime they get white busy and it's crowded, so be mindful you may have to wait for a table and the food may come out a bit slow.

we live nearby so we visited the place a few times, the first couple of times were great, serve was really nice and fast, third time we ordered takeaway on the Thursday morning, had the egg benny and sweet potato burger, tasty! and got our food in less than 10 minutes. however, our most recent visit was last Sunday afternoon around 1pm, there were a few tables of customers, we ordered at 1pm and did not get our food until over 1.30: when we left with our food I can even smell the grease in my hair that's how long we've been waiting, and the curly fries were a bit soggy as well, not as impressed!

Best VEGAN FOOD IN SYDNEY! Just around the corner from my house and the food+service here is just bomb. The cappucinos and hot chocolates are fully vegan because of the chocolate powder. Good coffee too, and always such great service! I love that everything on the menu can be done vegan, the burgers and the pancakes are my fave. Also the iced pumpkin spiced latte is the yummiest thing I have ever tasted.

Their coffee is the best in Eastern Suburbs hands down. I'm not vegetarian but this place has become my favorite cafe. Very friendly staff, it's easy to park and walking distance to Maroubra beach.

A healthy version of everything! Eggs Benno looked and tasted amazing (of course no bacon!). The menu was fulfilling, breakfast (all day food) being served until 2.30. there is seating inside and out, so great place if you want to take your fur baby. Right outside a bus stop so can be a little awkward when stuffing your face with yummy food but otherwise comfortable. If you are there around midday, it is great seating in the sun! They have one heater which really should be located between the two outside tables. Inside looked comfortable asqell and service pretty good. Coffee so not great, just a little bitter. I would eat there again...

A quaint cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating. The store is a lot bigger than I expected, having driven past it many times previously. The breakfast burrito was delicious and the house made bean mix added a nice complex flavour. With a bus stop just outside getting around from here is pretty easy, not to mention that it's a short 10 minute walk to Maroubra Beach.

I love this place. Great little hidden gem serving delicious vegan and vego food. Try there blueberry scones or the berry bomb smoothie if you like something that's sweet, but not overly so, or the scrambled tofu if you want a bigger breaky!

Food was delicious, but wait time was abismal. And service, I believe, is the other half of a job well-done. A friend and I waited an hour for our dishes, buy which time my coffee was cold, and my friends drink had melted. At 50 minutes when I approached the gentleman who served us and asked how much longer our food would take, he half-heartedly asked for my table number, didn’t bother to check with the chef anyway, and then abruptly told me “you’re next, you’re next”. I said “okay, but it’s been almost an hour now”... and he laughed at me! That’s, just, unheard of. Any other establishment would have offered drinks on the house, or maybe a small treat, or another coffee as compensation - but nothing was offered, and conveniently the bill is paid and finalised before time. I was very upset. My friend and I travelled a very, very long way to visit Herb n Sprout Co certainly not expecting an experience like that.
