From the minute we walked in the door Jin was so accommodating. It is the second time I have dined here and the food was absolutely amazing each time. The flavour and presentation in everything we ordered was incredible. If you are after a beautiful dining experience this is the place for you. Very reasonably priced and fantastic for larger groups (mainly so you can taste and enjoy a number of dishes) Will definitely be back again, and again!

My wife and I had a fantastic night. The food was delicious and the service was great. The poor staff were clearly short a few troops (no doubt due to covid) but they battled on with a smile on their face. Will definitely go back.

This is not any other Viet restaurant in town. You won't find a menu full of pho here but their taco or Wagyu beef tartare would impress you fore sure. Chicken supreme is also a must-try. Talk to Jin the manager for special drinks.

Service was good! Great for after work dinner and drinks, modern take on viet cuisine, hip vibes. The pork was very dry which was quite hard to chew and swallow, loved the gin with aloe and cucumber though.

I’m lucky to live near this great little local to experience some really amazing Vietnamese flavours. The team running the place are both friendly, fun and attentive. The food is brilliant and packed with flavour. The Pho is next level and the mud crab dumplings are a stand out. All the staff was super friendly and helpful, food was great! They kindly helped out with my friend’s picky diet requirement and double triple checked to make sure it meets our request. Also the signature red velvet cocktail was a killer for my Friday night. Will definitely visit again!!

I've never ever written any type of reviews in public in my life - and yet here i am. A Waiter there who had to be recognized publicly. Jin, who rescheduled my reservation 3 times due to a delayed flight was extremely helpful, professional and made my visit very welcoming and fun! Absolutely one of the best dining experiences I've ever done. 10/10 would recommend for a special occasion or just to try something new. You will love it too.

The Beef Short Rib Pho was superb. Tasty and aromatic broth. Soft, juicy beef pieces. Fresh greens and mint. I love the vibe, graphic & interior design of the place. The refreshing XPA on tap went down well with the Pho.

Kin boy Vietnamese style restaurant is an absolute 10/10! I enjoyed all of the dishes especially the corn ribs, they where sweet and savoury with a bit of a charcoal taste! All of the staff at kinh boy are so friendly and nice! I definitely recommend coming to kinh boy with friends and family and have a wonderful dinner!

Went to this hipster joint near redfern for lunch. The lunch menu only has a subset of items available - Pho, Bun, Rice and Fried noodles. We had the charcoal chicken vermicelli noodle bowl (bun) and special fried rice with beef and sausage. The charcoal chicken was very nicely done - likely to be sous vides and then charcoal grilled. Will be keen to back to try the dinner menu next time.

I came here by accident, when the restaurant i wanted to go to is fully book. I don't usually do this and i don't get impressed easily but this restaurant really exceeded my expectations for a Vietnamese restaurant. Being a Vietnamese myself and i have tried countless bad Vietnamese food in Sydney, i came in with little hope the traditional Pho would be this good. The broth soup is light, not oily but still beefy. The slow cook beef is cut into reasonable pieces and then charred on the grill, which i never seen any Vietnamese restaurant did before. It smelled so good and having charred, the flavour of the beef is just absurd. The presentation is also a big plus. I also tried banh xeo tacos. Now being a foody and having deep respect for different cuisines and cultures , because most restaurants managed to sabotage the fusion dish. I was skeptical ordered this dish but it turned out amazing. The shell, prawns, pork, the salad inside and the sauce go super well together and it was fun to eat. Now the price is definitely not cheap like a usual Vietnamese restaurant , but for its quality i am willing to pay every time, 100% worth it.

11 May 2021 Worst pho I have ever had. I'm reluctant to even give it half a star out of 5. The only thing I'll give it is, it looks like pho. The soup was so bland..not just bland but there was some taste that was kinda gross. The other food looked ok. I did order crispy pork belly as takeaway before disregarding this place altogether. Crispy, well-seasoned, and the highlight was probably the fish sauce, which was made very well. Price-wise it was more expensive than I expected.

The food was amazing. Expectations were pretty low as been to a lot of Viet restaurants however the food was outstanding. Service was excellent and they even had happy hour cocktails - lychee green tea martini for 10bux! I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Updating this review because it's Just. That. Good. Back again, for my partner's birthday. At every turn service was exceptional, kind and fun! Everything is delicious and excellent value. Jin took friendly and wonderful care of us before we even walked in. I couldn't have the Kingfish this time around - devastating because that is amazing so make sure you order it- and we were taken care of with delicious substitutions. Delicious house made cocktails! (Thank you Darcy!) Omgggg get the corn ribs! Chicken was out of this world. And that cheesecake!! Run, don't walk, to Kinhboy, every single night! Thank you Jin - you define above and beyond!! Original: DELICIOUS and fresh. Expect crispy chicken to be greasy? Not here! Dish after dish a delight. And especially when we were suddenly in a rush, the staff were all so kind and friendly and accomodating - like Amy who ensured we just got the best service and could spin an unexpected birthday special on a dime!

Wasn’t very impressed with the service on Wednesday afternoon. First my beer order was wrong but I was cool with it and didn’t care too much. After ordering, I quickly went over and nicely asked if the kitchen started cooking our meals yet and she said no. I kindly asked if I could cancel half of my meal and apologised. Then she went from being super friendly chatty to really hostile super quick. She pretty much slapped our food down and was abit rude the rest of our dine. We got a serving less than what we asked for too and I was too scared to ask if we were waiting on another serving. I felt that anxious at the end of the meal that I had to get my partner to pay while I waited outside. The food is great there but I probably won’t go back due to that awkward uncomfortable experience. Abit of a shame too because we are local. Response: I ordered two sets of the Bahn xeo but we only received one. We wanted 4 in total.

The restaurant space itself and the service were great. I had the beef pho and although not traditional, it was tasty and satisfying. The other dishes though like the mud crab dumplings and the bo luc lac were just okay. Being Vietnamese, I thought the Vietnamese-named dishes would be a bit more Vietnamese but they really don't bear any resemblance to their traditional versions. I would say overall the food here tastes like Vietnamese fused with Australian cuisine, which would be great for some.

Kinhboy was absolutely fantastic. You should definitely go!! We went for my girlfriend's birthday. The wait staff were lovely, their service wonderful, and we felt welcomed from the start. The vibe in the restaurant is really fun and you can see the kitchen. We had the kingfish ceviche which was fantastic, especially the pomegranate/pepper combo!!, and the banh xeo/tacos with pork belly, and the short rib pho (phenomenal!). Amazing value for money too. We will be back.
