We absolutely loved it! I had the spaghetti alla paese, very generous portiom and it was exquisite. Partner (he is Italian so are quite pocky when ot comes to chose an Italian Restaurant) has Ravioli Bolognese and portion was quite small for him (average) Overall food was really nice and service was 1A. All staff were really friendly. They don't split bills

If dining as a group and liking your meals to come out at different times, this is the place for you. We were a group of 7, both for mains and dessert the first person to be served was finished before the last person got their meal (obviously would have waited till everyone was served, but who likes eating a cold pasta). We think they only have 6 microwaves, it's the only thing we could think of. It's not fine dining, but if you're hungry (servings were large) and suburban Australian Italian food is what you're after this is the place. Otherwise there are better restaurants around.

Nice pizza in a relaxed atmosphere. The service was great too. I haven't tried their pasta but will definitely be going back. I was by myself with 3 kids and everything went very smoothly! Food was served quickly and the kids behaved themselves too which was great!

Very nice food and friendly waitresses and staff. We've been going to a few Italian restaurants recently to try to find the best risotto. La Carretta's risotto is the best we have tried so far. My only issue with this restaurant is that the tables are too small. There were only three of us (2 adults,one small child) and it was a squeeze. Plus the table area is too small to accommodate more than a couple of dishes. Our table also had a distinct wobble. The food was great though.

First time there and it was a perfect experience. We ordered 3 different dishes and all three were rich and tasteful. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Excellent food and nice staff, what else I can expect?

The food is exceptional. It is nice to see a family owned business doing so well. Liz (one of the owners) is so nice and accommodating to our family. It is always a pleasure to eat there. Make sure you try the Cherrybrook pizza.

They have been around for 20+ years (used to be in Cherrybrook Village and moved to WPH in the past year or so). The tenure speaks for itself. Always great service, staff there are friendly and responsive. Must try their Cherrybrook pizza which is our family's favourite! Tables are small (they always have been!), so if you want more space you may need to make a special request.

Really good Italian food. Been there a few times now and it doesn't disappoint. Can get quite busy and you may have to wait a bit for your food but it's worth it. The hostess makes it a point to come over and ask you about the food which is nice. The desserts are also worth a try.

Pizzas are usually delicious (so much so, that we risk it and have ordered many times) but can be a bit hit and miss. Sometimes they have lots of topping and lovely thin crust. Other times, they look like someone stood on the other side of the room and just threw ingredients in the hope some would land on the thick, stodgy dough. The pastas are honestly terrible, but that's fine - we just don't order them anymore. The wait time is never ever what they say it will be. We just laugh when they say 20 mins. It's NEVER less than 40. Again, that's fine as we have learnt to allow for it. We haven't eaten in, and based on the other reviews, I'd avoid it.. but takeaway on a lazy Sunday (when you're not in a hurry) is usually pretty safe. The meatlovers really is delicious!

The service is decent and friendly with generous portions. The pizzas were reasonably good but the risotto and pastas were very bland with quite a bit of salt as the flavour source. Nothing terrible just lacking in character.

Small tables. Food was only alright, a bit bland. Staff very nice. Atmosphere inside is a little bit dull. We ordered fettuccine bosciala. It was only alright and needed lots of cheese to taste not bland.

I’ve been eating at La Caretta for over 20 years! I wish they were still in Cherrybrook. The family that owns this business is absolutely wonderful. We miss you at Cherrybrook shops Liz! Can absolutely recommend the chicken satay pizza.

Love the satay chicken pizza and the spaghetti carbonara was delicious. Much prefer the restaurant’s new location in West Pennant Hills than in the Cherrybrook Shopping Village. Always very friendly owners and staff and reasonably priced.

Me and my wife have been going to this restaurant for many years ... Amazing food ..... our favorite Mustard chicken dish is to die for.... and Garlic Cream Prawns are amazing The owners are so nice and always give a great service ....always have that special smile not just for us but for all that go there We have been to so many restaurants and yet this place is we’re we prefer to go for fine food GREAT FOOD AND WONDERFUL SERVICE...and so good my wallet... 😊😊 Regards Fernando and Debbie

Bottom line....a restaurant does not stay in business since 1989 without having great food, service and prices! Saw the reviews and was wondering if we should 'risk it', after 16 years away from the area. Strongly recommend reservations...we arrived at 7pm (08.11.13) and waited about 5 minutes (with reservation) to get taken to our table...the line up for both tables and takeaway was substantial, and all tables were either filled or reserved. We expected to wait...after all, they were packed (as they are each Friday and Saturday that I have seen) We chatted over wine for 15 minutes (yes, we were watching our watches, however, to be honest, they are not a drive through burger joint) until we were served by Vanessa...then Georga...absolutely delightful girls. We ordered the whitebait as a shared entree (entree size is very generous and delicious) I ordered veal with avocado and crabmeat and it had so much creamy wine sauce...devine (calorie counting starts tomorrow:) Husband ordered Marinara Pizza..family sized to take home for later. He ate too much! I couldn't finish my serving, and so we went home with two doggie bags. I have been to quite a few 'fine dining' restaurants...huge plates, miniscule half cooked 'infused with....' servings for well over $100 per head (alcohol extra) ....I thank the stars, that is not this place! Nor is it a quiet and intimate....this place is full of life and love...it is bright, it is vibrant, it is chatty, it is happy. Liz (the owner) is a wonderfully vivacious genuinely loving person, who makes you feel like family...we are hooked...thank you, thank you:)

Loved it. The Pimavera pizza had brilliant flavours with delightful base. The Avocado Fettuccine pasta was super tasty and perfect creamyness. Top with great service and you get a brilliant Monday night dine.
