Stopped for coffee. Was huge, hot and heavenly! Made by a true professional. Can only vouch for coffee so far but will update when I get food.

Yumm, pretty authentic Thai food, lunch specials were good value, also asked for extra spicy fried rice and was granted, loved it. A wonderful find at Old Bar 😀 .... went back for dinner and tried their jungle curry, duck salad and stir fried veggies with lemongrass. Loved the spice

We 4 families went to Luriya’s Thai.The staff was very welcoming and attentive. We ordered a lot of food and we couldn’t believe each and everything was ABSOLUTELY DEELICIOUS and super fresh. And the chef made everything in no time . HIGHLY RECOMMEND 10/10

Lovely owners, good quality Thai which is lucky as its the only Thai in town. The portions were a good size and the food was very tasty. My only regret was not asking for some extra chopped Chili's.

WOW. This was accidental find - dinner at an overnight halt on the way back to Sydney. Came into this restaurant expecting it to be similar to other suburban Thai restaurants. This place FAR exceeded my expectations. The flavours are amazing. Truely authentic. Does not overdo the sugar. All dishes we ate had perfect balance. The Tom Kha soup is to die for. Larb was fantastic- amazing aroma. This by far the BEST Thai I have had in Australia. I will make the 3 hr trip from Sydney just to have a meal at this restaurant.

Food at Luriya’s Thai is very fresh and delicious. Highly recommended the curry puffs and money bags. We also ordered the pad Thai and yellow curry as a main and both were very tasty. The restaurant is also very clean and staff are very friendly and welcoming.

We happened to be driving past Old Bar and spontaneously decided to come here for some Thai food - absolutely delicious! Lovely, quick service as well. We had the chicken pad Thai and fish red curry, which was better as anything you could find in Melbourne! I would highly recommend dropping in to support a local restaurant (where they use local seafood and vegetables they grow in their own garden) AND have a mind-blowing meal 😋

The fact that they cook with vegetables and herbs that they have grown in their own garden makes their food tastes so fresh and delicious. A must try is their Jungle Curry if you want something spicy and their Chicken Satay taste so good too. Very accommodating and friendly owners and staff. Give them a visit whenever you are in Old Bar!

Really nice authentic Thai Food. We didn’t expect much from a regional area thai restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The service was good and we loved our yellow chicken curry and the sizzling beef plate. Thanks Luriyas Thai !

It was a pleasant surprise after taking a detour as there were no Thai restaurants were open in Taree on a Sunday afternoon. Food was delicious and nicely presented. The only inconvenience is that they accept only cash.

Some of the best Thai food I have ever eaten, she is a chef from Thailand and the owner is so lovely. We stumbled upon the shop on the Easter long weekend and couldn’t recommend more highly. We had a Thai beef salad, some pad siew and a chicken cashew nut and all three were perfect! Definitely stop in if your near by and want an authentic Thai meal.

Lovely place and lovely staff. Drove a while to get here but left with several plants (excellent value) and very satisfied tummies. Thai food was very flavoursome and so were the deserts (loved the pecan pie). Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a hearty meal, we ordered a variety of dishes and ended up with seconds and thirds. Great experience and would definitely love to come back!

Love Luriya's Thai. Flavoursome, fresh, and lots of lovely, fresh, homegrown vegetables cooked with love. The ginger fish is delicious as are all of their dishes. We don't buy takeaway very often but its always worth it when we do.

Food here was absolutely delicious! The spring rolls were so tasty and the oyster stir fry loaded with a lot vegetables and sauces. Quantity was enough to have for lunch the next day! Will be back for sure !

Luriya's keeps us coming back with their delicious food and fantastic customer service. Apparently they grow their own vegetables, and you can tell that a lot of love and care goes into their dishes, of which there are plenty to choose from. Our favourites are the Pad Thai, Stir Fry with Basil, and Stir Fry with Cashew. So good!

Amazing! We live locally and had never been before, faithful to other Thai restaurants....but this has just become a favourite! Great food, tonnes of vegetarian options and fair prices with super nice staff! Modest and owning it! Plus we got a delicious tapioca dessert on the house. BLESS!

Simply excellent! Crisp fresh flavours. Sauces a delight not heavy like some common Thai. Beef Penang the best I have tried, highly recommend! All vegetables cook just right with a just the right fresh crunch. $12 lunch perfect, a fresh healthy cooked just for you, for little more than a Big Mac and chips! Have to be happy with that. Luriya’s Thai in Old Bar: A little gem, sure to be discovered!

We enjoyed our meal here. We had a Thai stir fry and a Jungle curry. Both were well cooked and flavorful. Perhaps the stirfry was a little sweet. We started with the chicken satay with peanut sauce, which was very good, and ended with the black sticky rice dessert. The latter was overwhelmed with ice cream, strawberries, tinned peaches and pressure can cream. It would have been better on its own with just the coconut cream. Good service.

We stopped in here for a short day visit and stumbled upon these gem. I was dubious when we arrived as Old Bar did not seem like the home of Thai cuisine. Lucky for us I was wrong, What a treat. yummy food at a fair price and Not your heavy sauce covered sydney Thai this was great clean food. The owners had moved up two years earlier from south Sydney. The only reason I did not give five stars is the shop itself could go a freshen.

Authentic Thai food in an unlikely location. I visit Thailand very frequently and I was surprised to find their meals teleport me to Thailand. Luriya is the chef and she grows her own Thai spices and vegetables. If you want something special, with notice, she will be all to happy to cook your favourite Thai meal. I will be going back again during my stay in Old Bar.
