Comments of Meat District Co
I. C.
We ordered the Sirloin and Pork Ribs combo. The sirloin was very tender. Cooked to perfection. The ribs were not too sweet and just melted off the bone. I also recommend the truffle fries.
The chicken wings were also not too sweet. The glaze had the right amount of taste.
Delicious and very tasty. Highly recommended!!
The service was fast and efficient and more importantly, very friendly!
G. W.
Great place to have drinks before dinner.
HAPPY HOUR is awesome as the menu reflects and they DO NOT water down your drinks.
Friendly staff who always make you feel welcome even when they’re super busy!
R. S.
Family feast at Meat District Co Barangaroo. A great place to spend a lazy afternoon lunch. The slow cooked beef was sensational. Thanks for the good service.
K. P.
Last night on a soaking wet day, I ate here and I was really impressed. There were so much in the menu and most of the food were reasonably priced. Last night, I had the kangaroo for $35 and I really enjoyed it. It was juicy, tender, the definition of perfectly cooked. The staff and service were really nice and the setting of the restaurant was beautiful. The place deserves so much more than just 3.9 stars. I will definitely eat here again, well, next time I visit Sydney 😂
J. T.
Absolutely delicious. Nice vibe and appreciated the consistent decorating. They didn't have our booking in when we arrived but accommodated us anyway without any fuss. My steak was perfectly cooked, not quite so for my partner. All the sides were great though. Would definitely recommend a visit.
C. B.
Average steak, good place if you’re hungry and desperate! Priced well. 30min wait time at least for the steaks. Mocktails are terrible, not sure about cocktails
H. L.
I am giving them 5 stars as they deserve to better than what their current rating is. Food was good, staff attended in a timely manner and good spot.
L. A.
Best rib-eye in Sydney.
We went for dinner on Sunday, we have been in different restaurants in Sydney but were never satisfied.
This meat was perfectly cooked (rare for me, medium-rare for my partner), nicely presented and of a very good quality.
M. S.
Really great medium rare sirloin with some amazing side options, also a generous happy hour every afternoon from 3-6. And you can't go wrong with covered outdoor seating right on the harbour
V. S.
Good customer service.
Thank you Manuel & team (forgot names) keep up the good work.
Great ribs & steaks.
Nice view & ambiance, outdoor seating available.
Cheers!

It was great to be back and sitting down in real restaurant seats. The restaurant crew is fast and professional. The orders were taken reasonably early and the food arrived on time for our table of nine. The meals were okay, my Medallion (fillet steak) was a bit dry, but cooked to order. The place was very busy, so kudos for the whole restaurant staff for keeping it together. I will be back.
M. L.
Definitely a Steakhouse. Been here more than a few times. Great venue right on the wharf with great views if you are seated near it. We didn’t get a table with the view. :(
This place gets packed on a Friday evening. Be sure to book. Firsttable booking for 4 and they couldn’t find our booking, but we were swiftly seated within mins. Thumbs up.
From the grill I had the Kangaroo cooked med-rare and truffle mash. The meat was a not cooked how I’d like my Kangaroo to be cooked, it was more medium. Still delish. The Jack Daniel sauce was extremely salty and it had a tea spoon of salt on the side. Kinda salt over kill. I felt it should of had some greens to balance the saltiness. Dish was nice exactly as I remembered.
Service was good. Everyone was friendly and nice.
Everyone else enjoyed their dish. Only comment was from the pork ribs, that the sauce was too sweet. Great Friday night.
L. S.
Leaving 3 stars just on the meats tenderness however overall the food was just ok, the meat in the burger was excellent however the waitressing was a bit off putting, warm water on a hot day was given to us and a burger was ordered without vegetables but came out anyway with onions. A salad was brought out without cutlery or serviettes. Shouldn't have to continuously ask for these things as we are obviously at an eatery. Would prob pass on eating here again purely based on the service skills.
D. D.
Pretty good food with nice water facing views on one end of the restaurant. The steak was really nice, the fries excellent, the burger reasonably good. Yet, you still somehow leave this place with the feeling that it could be so much more. If only the meat was just a little bit more moist, the service a bit more attentive, or cared about the small details such as serving the kids meal quickly and before the adult meals.
W. G.
fix up table service and get experienced staff. orders were correct and the quality is great. some staff just forgot to bring us drinks but that's ok we cancelled them. all in all the place has amazing taste and views.
R.
Great place with great atmosphere. Burgers are 10/10! Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the service is a bit slow. Other than that, it is a great restaurant!
A. V. A.
Very cool place with nice food and cocktails. Happy hour was from 3 to 6 and has a great selection. The staff had very good service. Glad we stopped in.
C. L.
Beautiful lunch venue! Would recommend for team gatherings and working lunches. Thanks to all the kind and courteous staff.
H. P.
AMAZING! I went here once seven years ago and loved it, and today went back hoping it would be just as good as I remembered and it was delicious! I had the medallion steak on the specials menu, and it was cooked perfectly and SO tender. Highly recommend!
J. T.
The food is phenomenal & so are the cocktails. I had the full rack of pork ribs & they were brilliant. Unfortunately, the service was slightly lacking. My partners food came out well before mine & by the time I got my food, hers was cold. We waited almost 30 mins for drinks & we had to ask for our bill twice before we received it. Maybe the staff were just getting back into the groove of things after lockdown so I'll definitely give it another try
M. S. A.
Great atmosphere, good service, good value for price.
On weekdays from 3pm-5pm, there's happy hour, with cheap drinks. There's also lunch specials till 5pm. Good location. We ordered the Portuguese Spicy Chicken Burger and Old Faithful Burger and Sweet Potato chips!! Really yummy!
Definitely coming back and recommending to friends!
J. R. Z.
Nice place for lunch. Good burger and steak options. Pretty amazing combo options that can be paired with some good beer or wine options. Cocktails are available if you are into that. The location is pretty epic being right at Barangaroo wharf. Can definitely imagine a great sunset dinner here. We will be back.
T. N.
Food is delicious. I ordered ribs and it was perfect. The chips were fresh and tasty and the steak was tender and juicy. Music was a bit loud though.
E. I.
One of the best medium rare sirloin steaks I've ever had! The lunch special is only $25 compared to the main menu: $35. Friendly service and great location overlooking Darling Harbour.
M. B.
Great food and service in a lovely and open setting.
R. L.
A nice place to go have steaks, ribs and burgers. The ribs and steaks are always nicely cooked. The chicken wings weren’t great (was kind of on the bland side). The burgers arent too bad either. Pricing is ok, standard price if you go any other decent steak/rib/burger joint. The strawberry daiquiri jugs are delicious...... however the last few times we’ve been here, it’s been unavailable 😞
C. W.
Great spot for a catchup with friends, $8 a cocktail during happy hours from 3-6pm everyday.
Grilled swordfish burger was nice, the beef and pork ribs were average. Vegetarian are catered for, but the choices were a little limited.
Great value with promotion.
W. F. E.
It's warmer weather which is perfect for drinking cocktails by King St Wharf. Did you know Meat and District co have cocktail making classes? I pick up my gal friend and we join a cocktail making class with gorgeous views.
If you're not interested in making cocktails, Meat District and Co also have a nice happy hour from 3pm to 7pm.

Great place to have lunch and dinner. The restaurant is split on a ground floor to the wharf or the upper floor which connects to the street.
Had a nice New York steak, with tasty garlic cream sauce. Nice range of cocktails and drinks.
Would go back for more, and with the next visit, even had the hooks with lamb and chicken. Absolutely delish.

So, the thing is, my first trip to Australia, I just had to try kangaroo meat. A quick research on Google and this place pop up. I have to say - Not disappointing! Great service, a lovely place overlooking Darling harbour, reasonable prices. I had a great experience and a delicious Roo lunch.

It was a beautiful afternoon and we enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Meat District Co. It is over two levels. The top level, perfect for a drink or two and downstairs is a huge space for your lunch, dinner or just a drink with friends. Certainly accommodates large groups too. An open kitchen, you can see the chefs at work. As the name suggests, it's mainly serving meats and we went for ribs, cooked perfectly and meat fell off the bone. We also got a hanging lamb skewer which was again, perfectly cooked. To accompany our meal, we went for sweet potato fries, and a refreshing kale, apple salad. It was a wonderful meal and came out fast too! For three people it was a lot of food, so sadly we couldn't fit in dessert! Next time. Has a good range of burgers too and options for the tourist, like kangaroo! Cocktails here are nice as well - make sure you get in for happy hour! Ours were so fruit and flavoursome and suited our sunday chill well! Staff were extremely hospitable. We appreciate their friendly nature and excellent service.
D. S.
We expected much much more. We were a group and 5 out of the 7 orders came in extremely over cooked. We expected the whole meal to be replaced but they wanted to replace only the stakes....(we all had rib- stakes combo) I expected the meal to be replaced and start fresh. That didn't happen and as you can imagine the meal was never the same....2nd go stakes were better but for some reason stakes came in smaller.....once 2nd stakes came in the waitres gave the wrong stakes to the strong people....but we couldn't worry about it and wanted to enjoy the night. Drinks were good. All in all- 3.5 stars. Ok+ Food . Also over priced (but that's understandable considering the area)
B. L.
Handled our big team lunch well. Truffle chips were more cheesy than truffle but had a good crunch. Steak was cooked well.
D. H.
Nice place by the water. Friendly (for the most part... I think the floor manager wasn't too impressed with my attire (I had a backpack on) and ignored me) and fast service. I had the bone marrow (very good) and kangaroo (which was also very good). Mid range prices.
Service - 3
Food - 5
Prices - 4
Comfort - 4
Recommended at least once.
B. D.
I ordered a crocodile burger, and while the presentation and service were good, for $17
I was expecting a better quality meat experience. The crocodile "meat" was a curry flavoured patty rather than actual meat, and did not taste like crocodile. It tasted closer to a vegetarian patty. From other orders on the day, the ribs and sirloin steak looked like better choices next time.
M. O. (.
One of the best steaks I have had in a long time. The mushroom sauce was a nice touch of flavor. The bone marrow was amazing, such deep texture matched with well balanced bread.
N. T.
Delicious food and drinks. Highly recommend their menu and venue. Service was quick when seated however after they dropped off the food didnt see the waitstaff again (didnt dine during rush hours). Had to check out with bartender. Would def go again and ask for everything at once to avoid the wait. Food was amazing had the crocodile burger and kangaroo steak.
D. Y.
The sizable of the Signature rib combo is enough for 5 adults. But I think it miss some flavor especially the pork rid... the meat is less taste than I thought. Overall,Good atmosphere and nice customer service! Food is above average. Good to have a try!
d. j.
Nice views and so are all restos here at Cockle Bay.
Staff super sweet but .. ahem
Nachos with NO CHEESE??
Sacrilege .. profanation are words from my high school Mexican language teacher that comes to mind ..
Canned beans with quarter avocado !!
And yet lovely staff except for manager who didn’t bother come today Hi although he was told about our nervous breakdown on the soiled nachos
G. H.
The place is located close to Wynyard train station, just take exit 4 and head in the direction of Barangaroo.
The location itself is on the wharfs which provide a nice stunning view and it is easy to find. All the staff members there were all extremely friendly and courteous.
We ordered via 'First Tables' which gave us 50% off all the items on the menu (excluding drinks). We had four people and we ordered the truffle fries and MDC Platter which were both delicious and flavourful. At the normal price the truffle fries would cost $9.5 and the MDC platter $125 which in my opinion is still pretty worth it considering the four of us could not finish it. You are able to request to take away food that you are unable to finish so that was good. I was a big fan of the beef ribs and sirloin that came with the platter as they were full of flavour and it wasn't tough. While the pork ribs were still nice, they weren't the best that I've had but nevertheless it was still extremely enjoyable. In saying that, I felt like because the platter was so massive the food did come out a little bit cold but not to the point where you couldn't eat or enjoy it.
There is a surcharge of $2.50 pp on Sundays.
I would definitely go there again sometime in the future
r. a.
The disruption of the Burger says there are Caramelized onions which I did not taste it, the beef is hard not juicy. My friend had the spicy chicken burger and she liked it.
Chips 🍟 good
Sweet Potato chips are good as well
The guy who served us isverrrrry friendly 👏🏼👍🏼👍🏼
M. M.
It took many minutes to serve the food and even water. Taste of burger is good . But steak is average. The ground floor seat is good because it is in front of harbor. But I don't recommend the second floor seat.
L. I.
Juicy and tender Rib Eye on the Bone (and not too large like other places since it's 300g) - would definitely recommend. Chips are tasty and so is the mushroom sauce. They have a good cocktail menu too - with classics available as well as their own specials. 3-6pm is happy hour with $9 cocktails (like a tasty pimms and pony and havianas :)
c. n.
Awesome place and ambiance is really good.
You get nice Australian beef ribs and streaks.
Taste is good
Price is reasonable.
Recommend to visit this place once again
C. D.
I ordered the sliders pulled beef burger was great.. They didn't offer any cutlery. I also ordered the Apple Strudel and they didn't have any. Very dissapointing for such a very quiet night of trade..
S. T.
Great meals and service. Burgers were reasonably priced however drinks were expensive. Loved my cucumber mule. The crumbed chicken burger was ever so moist.
R. L.
Had a surf and turf and add on $5 chips. Not too bad, prawn&crab meat with beef patty. Yummy. Good vibe too during lunch time. Not too busy before 1pm on Sunday.
S. R.
There is a upstairs area which I didn’t know about. Staff are friendly and observant but the food took a while to come out. Food wise it’s just ok apart from the truffle chips which was yum. Despite my burger looking small it was filling. Overall not bad
S. T.
We went here for dinner for our daughter's birthday dinner last week and were very impressed. I booked online and that was good - I received a confirmation email promptly and the day before the booking, they phoned me to confirm it.
We had gone for their burgers, and these did not disappoint. Daughter had the cheese burger (which had the added bonus of bacon) and she loved it. Son had the surf and turf which he both devoured and enjoyed. Husband had the brie burger because brie. I had a lobster salad roll which was delicious.
None of the burgers come with salad or chips and you have pay extra to have them, so we opted to buy the side dishes of them instead. The chips had rosemary and thyme salt on them and were incredibly good (my lobster roll came with them too). The rocket and parmesan salad was great.
Daughter had a mocktail because it was her birthday. It was very fruity and refreshing. I had a cocktail because I could and it was very good. I also opted to have a glass of wine with my roll. Husband had the house red.
We didn't stay for dessert because the only thing which appealed to the birthday girl they were out of.
All up, and considering its location in a major tourist area, this was a very well priced and delicious meal. Staff were attentive and friendly and we were served in a timely manner.
Definitely one to go to again but I think I would always book rather than just rock up.
S. S.
Meat district co Sydney has really great menu. I’ve tried the steaks and burgers and it’s one of my favourite restaurants to go to. Great harbour views and delicious food.
R. H.
Menu has a good selection of lunch special, Love the hot dog, with chips, feel original meat and fat sausage, has a great view, straight in front the wharf
J. G.
The place is okay? They set up the table to make you feel like a "V.I.P." although I am morally "torn" about whether or not it's right to eat Crocodile meat { they can be a pest in northern parts of Australia, and are farmed too}. Didn't order any drinks, mostly because there were no non-alcoholic drinks on the menu. Which is a significant disappointment & there were no prices listed for the drinks.
L. C.
Very bad customer service. Waiters were not nice, one of them was taking food/ cleaning her tooth in the restaurant floor.
J. B.
Been here 3 times with 3 large groups (15-20 people) and I must say that they accommodated us quite well each time. Food was a bit slow to come out (as to be expected with such a big group of people), but the service and friendliness of the staff was great. Decently priced, tasty food, and relatively drama free dinners with that many people on more than 1 occasion - this place is doing something right, clearly. Their Old Faithful burger and their pork ribs are quite good.
D. K.
Busy eatery. Nice on a warm day, extremely hot in the outdoor lower section.
Sit upstairs on them hot days...
Great lighting outside when the sun is up which is perfect for photos too.
They do a wide selection of burgers.
Their ribs are decent, wouldn't go crazy for them
A. C.
Nice steak/ribs/burger restaurant with great views on the top floor (especially by the open window area). Food was large sized (especially the ribs/burger combo, which was huge). Friendly service, and some quirky design elements (loved the menus shaped like a cleaver).
Ribs were super soft, fall off the bone, but tasted a bit more like boiled than BBQ'd (i.e. should probably have spent a bit more time on the grill)
S. Q.
I'm a serious burgerholic on a mission to try all burgers everywhere lol This was pretty good burger! I guess all places with "meat etc" in their names usually deliver tasty meaty food! Since I never had a burger with prawns before, I had to try the Surf Turf Burger! Pretty good and tasty, unusual combination but very good! I love prawns and burgers so great experiment, with that, I guess nothing beats a burger with lots of cheese and bacon! ;) The chips were pretty good, the side bbq sauce was amazing!
C. M.
I had a wonderful time at Meat District Co for a Hen’s night! We attended a cocktail class there followed by dinner. The restaurant had a great vibe and the cocktail class was fun and engaging. The bartender was also very warm and had a great sense of humour. Dinner was delicious (I had a vegetarian burger) and the food was served promptly. They only lose one star because a couple of the waitresses seemed like they really didn’t want to be there.
S. R.
Great food. Lovely views. Rustic atmosphere.
M. T.
Firstly what a range of Cocktails amazing the Cucumber mule , strawberry daiquiri was very nice it was a shame that they had no watermelon or
Mint so all the preferred beverages couldn’t be ordered :( , I heard so much about the devils heaven and angels touch was really looking forward to it :( hopefully next time they have it .
Also had the not Tonight honey this drink is a very acquired taste.
The ribs were cooked to perfection and was delicious not over powered with any of the glaze it was great also with the wings very delectable
Such a nice location in sight of the water very lovely .
b. b.
DO NOT EAT OUTSIDE ON A WINDY DAY!! The umbrellas were falling down on customers and the tables because of the wind, greatly disturbing a lot of the customers. However, their chicken burger is amazing! Very few burger places add mushrooms to their chicken burgers and that made all the difference to the taste of this burger!
C. L.
Had a great table on the verandah upstairs overlooking the harbour. What a view! Service was attentive & food was delicious, great place to take the kids for lunch as tables aren't too jam packed (upstairs) so they have room to be kids. And there's a kids menu too.
The chips are the best, we all loved them! Perfectly crisp & well seasoned.

My first visit to this chain. Nice, bright and airy restaurant with contemporary decor. Our waitress was absolutely charming. Service was prompt. Prices somewhat on the high side for what you get; plus, there is a surcharge on the bill on Sundays. My sausages were overcooked, rather bland and no texture. No mustard, so had to make do with Tobasco to provide some flavour. My wife's blue steak was served medium - but the chef visited our table and unreservedly apologised.
In summary: food is mediocre; decor and staff service very good.
T. S.
Had to do a set menu due to having a group of 10. Set menu was over priced and underwhelming. Normal menu was half the price and obviously far more options. Great view and cheap grog with a long happy hour. Picture of burger shows the little pinch of crab on burger, definetly lacking.
A. H.
Average at best, dishes were ok…and the service was generally apathetic. Great view, but for the price and location you should expect more.
J. D.
-Great dining experience adjusting to the covid-19 restrictions;
-Large restaurant space creates a safe dining experience with social distancing tables all 1.5m apart;
- There are hand sanitizer stations & management are vigilant with cleaning and sanitising between customers and menus;
- Overall venue and toilets are cleaned regularly;
-Good staff and athmosfere;
L. G.
Was god place ti try the Kangaroo steak and I can say that it was good also the portion was pretty big. The restaurant is in a good location with the nice views.
J. K.
Service was amazing, food was even better and atmosphere was great !!
C. R.
Service is fast, remembers everything from the top of their head, even new staff are very well trained. The food is always fresh, the truffle fries are absolutely killer! Everytime I meet up with family I come here as it has something for everyone. The best drinks! I recommened the Pimms & Pony, and the Cosmopolitan. They're so sour and delish. 10/10 easy place to get into with a beautiful view.
K. C.
Everyone in my party enjoyed the food here. I personally had the kangaroo, which wasn't the best, but I liked it and the presentation was cute. The service was a little sparse, but we walked in during the early evening and wanted to leave within an hour, which they accommodated.
K. C.
Overall the food wasn't too bad. Staffs were attentive and nice. Chips with parmesan and truffles (starter) was so good and my unforgettable dish for that night. The sirloin steak was cooked nicely (medium), the garlic creamy sauce was yummy . The ribs however, even though was fall of the bone and soft, I wish the meat of the ribs itself has some flavor instead of just plain (marinated first maybe with salt & pepper?) while the generous bbq sauce on top was just plain sweet, need some salt to make it balance and yummy. I'm pretty sure customers will more appreciate the ribs if they can taste the flavor all through the meat.
g. o.
I've had a very good time. Food was good and the service kind and quick. The only thing maybe, the burger bread was not amazing, the roasted bone marrow instead (that was delicious) came with a very good olives sourdough.
A. M.
I came here by myself. I long time wanted to eat kangaroo meat and crocodile meat in Australia. I took a long time to order that because of my poor English. But the clerk help me. Thank you so much and the taste was awesome!!! ありがとう! 3mouths ago
E. F.
Happy hour prices is good. We had burgers and sweet potato fries; both were ok. Nothing to write home about. One of the staff was very unhappy to be working that dinner shift ... extremelgy grumpy! The others were quite friendly.
d. d.
Had a burger from the Lunch Special menu. Reasonably priced. The atmosphere is chill, and the staff couldn’t do enough.
e.
it was so lovely catching up over a beautiful sunset dinner! even though the place was really busy, we still got our cosy little corner 🧡💛
we got the crocodile burger, beef burger, fries, moscato, and an orange mocktail. the crocodile meat was nothing like I'd ever had before. it almost tasted like plant based meat lol so im unsure if its my taste. the beef burg was fairly standard 🍔
the fries and their smoky bbq sauce friend was surprisingly really good, and the mocktail was sweet and fruity 🍹
check out my food instagram @erinxeats for more!
M. A.
Lovely place for lunch. The waitress was very welcoming taking my order. The food was average. Presentation was good. Food took a while longer than expected to be ready
K.
very nice staff! great service. best burger in a while! very yummy. and very clean. they also got nice napkins. the thicker ones:p I like that. And also wet wipes.
D. A. A.
On the view of Darling harbour and magnificent food and best value, I ordered serlion steak and sweet potato side dish, steak is soft and mealt inside your mouth, will come again for sure.
M. M.
The staff is friendly but they took like 10 min to wait for them to come to order our food and took them 5 min to bring us our menu.
D. S.
If I could give more than 6 stars I would. Not even halfway through my American Burger with Caramelised Onions and I realised it's the best burger I've honestly ever had. Well deserved 5 star and I highly recommend wether it's for a quick bite or a group dinner. On the expensive side but 110% worth it!
Will definitely be coming again when I'm in town.
A.
Visited in November pre cruise stopover. Staff were very helpful food was excellent a great place to sit down relax and enjoy a great meal. Definitely re visit If we go again.
J. K.
Lovely casual little steak house. The vegetarian burger was super tasty! Great for groups. Friendly and helpful staff.
J. P.
Had the street dog. The sausage and avocado and other filling was great. But a bit disappointed that my hot dog roll was stale.
C.
Stay away from the onion rings, donut sized soggy pastry. Service was great. We ordered beef ribs and sirloin, pretty average. No better than a RSL and price to match. All in all a little disappointed and the under 4 star rating was a red flag I missed.
S. K.
Didn't think I loved ribs until I came here! Quick service and tasty food.
G. B.
A good selection of quite different burgers with various "international" flavors. The prices are quite good for the location and the general quality of the food is above average. It's situated on the picturesque Barangaroo side of the darling harbour waterway.
M. C.
very good restaurant at all levels !! the staff is very pleasant and professional, the food very good, the view pleasant, ..
a must taste !
D. B.
Good happy hour menu 3-6pm daily, piped music and comfortable seating.
K. L.
The kangeroo meat was ok, but the mash that came with it was so bland.
Swordfish burger was tasty - the fries were very generic.
Overall, nothing great in terms of food.
The service was a bit slow, took ages to just get drinks out.
Great location , they have happy hour which is a saving grace.
A. R.
Price was a great value and definitely worth a try the sirloin steak
V. L.
The food while being good is expensive, I guess it fits in with the King St Wharf tourist fare. The meals were served on meat clever shaped wooden boards that take up all the real estate on the table, so be prepared to Tetris the Hell out of your drinks, cutlery & food. The steak was a perfect medium rare, but for some reason they slathered mustard all over the bone marrow, and the pairing with olive bread was a little odd. The truffle fries were more salt than truffle or fry, and the service would go from waiters hovering over you to a disappearing act when you need them.
R. P.
Mouth watering cheeseburger, crispy chips and smokey BBQ sauce. A bit pricey for a burger but tastes great.
Good location and view.
V. L.
I ordered a beef burger which was delicious, however quite small portion. The staff wasn't very friendly. However, I was surprised that the restaurant is kids and family friendly.
s. p.
It was such as delicious as eating in the heaven
Thank you at all for the Burgers

Great restaurant, easy to get to, very nicely laid out. Steak was amazing. Thick cut fries are some of the best I've had.
T. D.
Great place for pork ribs and wings! The lamb skewers and rosemary french fries were delicious also. Definitely would go bsck.
J. S.
Had a very good prime rib as you can see from the pic - matched with a tannic Margaret River Shiraz; view, location, service and subtle background music was all good;
A. N.
I have been a couple times in recent months.
I find the staff Friendly and welcoming.
Our lunch specials food today was delicious and our boards went back without a crumb.
Late afternoon happy hour is also highly recommended.
I. E. B.
Great location, comfy seating options and friendly service .. the burgers are really good!
s.
Awesome ribeye on the bone, very tasty and delicious garlic dressing on the side.
The filet medaillon is also ok but nothing special.

Came here twice already
First time was a smash, drinks were amazing food was impeccable.
Came a second time on the 18th Dec with a group of friends and steak was overcooked the first time around, sent it back cause it was not up to standard. Came out the second time for it to be a blue steak (Light sear on the outside, we specifically asked for Medium Rare) was still unhappy with the outcome, last time it came out and it was done right but everyone was disappointed that by the time the last meal came out we were all full from all the other meals which were subpar.
Our drinks was super sour for a watermelon cocktail to share. Had to wave down our waitress about our drinks cause our food was already out but the drinks were nowhere to be seen (they were ordered at the same time).
All in all, was a disappointing experience.
S. M.
Went for cocktail making with a group - it was fantastic! Highly recommend
A. I.
Great kangaroo steak! Had to come back 2 days in a row. I highly recommend this place in Sydney for tourist who never had kangaroo steak!
T. H.
For a place that specialises in meat, the meat was average. Service was attentive after the long wait at arrival. The atmosphere was nice. Had higher expectations for the lamb I ordered though.
D. S.
Meals were simply delightful, atmosphere was welcoming and all staff exceptionally attentive. Highly recommended.
K. B.
Great dining experience. Made plans for dinner last minute with no reservation, Arrived after a long day, We where given a great seat by the window with a view out onto the Wharf. Food and drinks were great, Happy hour when we arrived which put the Icing on the cake. Will be definitely be returning. Prices Where reasonable.
G. D.
Awesome food.. Mouthwatering steak stunning lamb hook... Try the sangria it's wonderful just eat here... Vegans beware.
S. B.
I had a great dining experience here. My wife and I enjoyed both the pork ribs and beef ribs. The truffle fries were particularly good. Service was impeccable and the staff were very attentive and responsive, even with a full restaurant. Prices are a little on the high side, but a small subset of the drinks are very cheap during happy hour.
c. m.
The experience was terrific. A very busy place on Saturday night but they managed to get us a table, the managment team very kind and helpful. Food and cocktails great, service amazing. We will be back
M. M.
Food was good. Had the kangaroo steak. Service was a bit slow but still friendly
T. G.
Very polite staffs, good place and foods are ok.
S. H.
Ribs were really good, price also good. Nice place to eat and have a drink. 😊
N. H.
The beef was perfect but the trifle potato was average compared with the price.
M.
Ribs were delicious, the burger was dry. Way too busy especially during Covid, we were squished in close to other tables and it was a long wait. The mocktail and cocktail jugs taste weird.
S. N.
Good food. Asked for medium rare but was more towards well done. Wasn't too bad. Friendly staff and good location. Nice place! Recommended.
R. P.
Though the burgers were quite good, the happy hour drinks were terrible and felt like it was watered down.
손.
I visited here for celebration our anniversary. I enjoyed tasty food, portion size, good prices, happy our cocktail, kind service. I'm for sure I'll visit here again.
I.
The place has a good vibe and the prices are reasonable. The chicken hamburger was superb and it came with a very tasty fresh salad. I wasn't impressed with the kangaroo meat, but my partner liked it. It took quite a while for drinks to get to us.
K. K.
Great place, the staff were friendly. The Kangaroo steak was great. You don't get to choose how you want the steak done though, they serve a med rare which is great. My partner ordered the Crispy Chicken Burger which was a bit on the blander end.
R. C.
We did the cocktail making class for a hens. It was pretty poor considering the price. Group one made espresso martinis and mojitos (good drinks if a little boring) but our group made sex on the beach and cosmopolitans. Essentially vodka, peach and juice for both. I think they need to up their game regarding the drinks, they're not something I'd ever order (sugary vodka juices) and dont involve any sort of skill or flair.
A cocktail class isnt about pouring juice into a cup. It should be about flavour mashes, interesting balances, and perhaps a cocktail I hadnt heard of, or didnt order when I was 18.
Otherwise, nice location and pretty set up.
F. N.
Great food; had ribs and burger. Service was commendable in a cosy environment.
R.
The burgers are fairly pricey for what you get but they are fantastic!!! Fries and sauce are extra costs.
H. W.
Food is not particularly good quality. House wine is pretty nasty. Staff seem a little inexperienced - not really attentive, not knowing the menu. You come here for the view and atmosphere, which is pretty nice. It does seem popular though.
S. S.
My wife and I were looking for a quick bite and decided to try this place because of its express lunch menu. Unfortunately, it is anything but. We waited about 40 minutes for our meals, which to the hungry feels like an eternity.
Our waitron was courteous and patient while we decided on what to eat; there are plenty of options here, which is great.
The food itself was pretty good, all things considered.
w. y.
It's good - obviously steaks / ribs are sensational. It can get a bit expensive, so get budget options or special deals where you can.
M. e.
Amazing food and great service. Had an amazing time!
A. L.
This was be our 4th time coming here...We came today for a work lunch....some of us ordered from the express lunch menu and others from the normal lunch menu. This didn't actually work out as everything came out at the same time! IE the express lunch people were waiting a long time, (which pretty much defeated the purpose). I just wish the staff would have let us know there would be a delay... But my fish burger was amazing and the best chips I've had in ages. From what I heard, everyone enjoyed there food! The views are fabulous here, especially upstairs....
S. F.
Great lunch special and happy hour. Really enjoyed the BBQ Portuguese Chicken Breast.
H. S.
Nice place on a harbour. Visited it only for the kangaroo meat, however, it was too old and rough. A little disappointment :(
G. d. r.
It isn’t the most inspiring place on earth, but their truffle fries were fabulous, and I’d come back just for those. it was a busy Saturday night, staff were pressed but the service was still good. The Happy Hour prices were great too, and I’d recommend this spot for a great happy hour and snacks for sure. they don’t get a 5 star, as I reserve those for fine dining restaurants, but it’s great for what it is and family friendly as well, so we left happy.
J. S.
Food was great had the beef ribs. Service was terrible, ordered drinks and took 30+ mins to come, and re asked for same drink 3 times to wait staff. (The drink was 1 X coke)
M. Z.
Good food and nice cocktail preparations experience
L. M.
Really has the most beautiful views, the staff are amazing, the food is great and the Happy Hour Cocktails keep us coming back!
A. T.
Been there twice and was quite satisfied. The burgers are so nice and affordable, personally feel the cocktails are a bit sweet though. i like the 3 mini burgers which are so cute! you can get the most popular 3 burgers in one plate! Will definitely be back again for the CROCODILE burger yummmmmmmm. Can see the firework a bit if you sat outside.
R. P.
Food is pretty good. Good specials and happy hour from 3 to 6 PM every day. However the service is atrocious. I've been here a few times over about 6 years and it still hasn't changed. This last time was for a team lunch so not my choice but definitely wouldn't choose this place over others myself.
D.
Nice place but spotty table service and you can't split the bill and we didn't know - should have seen the tiny sign on entry apparently! What sort of business doesn't split bills in 2021! Cash isn't COVID safe and the till can do it all for you! It smacks of laziness to me.
M. T.
Food was nice and decent location, but food took a while to come - waiting almost 50 minutes last night for the main! We were inbetween a hen cocktail making class and a 21st, they were being very well looked after. Also noticed that tables in after us were served very promptly. Took ages for staff to notice we were done with mains to order a dessert and then to get the bill after dessert was done. Staff need to be more attentive to their sections.
C. T. S.
To be frank, bloody amazing!!
Can not fault their customer service at all. Quick to fit us in, even on a Friday night with no booking at peak times.
But it's their food that gets the 5 stars. Perfectly cooked, absolutely delicious and well proportioned. The Jack Daniel's sauce that goes with the Kangaroo was to die for. The truffle mash potato was amazing. And the steaks were so tender and went great with the garlic butter!
Highly recommend anyone to go here! Loved it. I'll be going back for sure!
C. S.
Great location, very good food, slight lack of urgency with service. My partner and I ordered the surf n turf burger and the American burger, which came pretty quickly. The burgers are juicy and on a nice soft bun, fries are also good with aoli. The place has a smart casual feel to it, and is a good example of reasonably priced food at a prime location! We waited up to 15 minutes for our drinks though, that was a little bit annoying especially on a warm night but I can't fault them for anything else. We were also able to chill there at our table under no pressure for as long as we felt like it. Good job people!
E. V.
The location is lovely and they have an amazing cocktail menu. My partner and I enjoyed our main meals, a cheeseburger and one of their hot dogs, and the rest of the mains menu was quite attractive.
Unfortunately the sides we received (and had to order and pay extra for) were not just average, they were actively bad. French fries and onion rings are hard to stuff up, so we were pretty disappointed and we would probably try a different restaurant before returning here.
R. D.
Just left the place minutes ago. Food is above average but the service is awful. No smile from the servers and we had to follow up for the food multiple times. One of the girl servers was deliberately ignoring me when I raised my hand asking for something. When I raised this to the manager, they said they are super busy (when in fact there are many empty tables). You guys just ruined a supposedly good Christmas lunch. Thumbs down.
C. C.
The service was a bit slow. We did nit feel particularly welcome. The Ribeye was delicious, as our starters, cocktails an desserts. Only the burger (Surf and Turf) was blend and dry, disapointing.
The atmosphere is really nice.
D. W.
Okay for food but ordinary for a meat place. I took a team of 11 there and spent $1,000. I thought with such a corporate group booking we'd be looked after.
We had the set menu. Food was good, but not great and not what I expected. Asked for the Sirloin medium rare but they would only do medium. Ask for the lamb to be medium rare and it only comes medium to well done.
Steaks with frys only so veggies and /or salad extra.
It's like they have a routine for cooks but no chefs
G. C.
Eventhough they were busy on father's day, the new lady supervising the outside area managed to compensate any delays on the service. The food was great as usual.
D. Y.
Pretty good cocktails and great food however, meat could have been cooked med-well as i requested, i didn't mind it as it was still tasty 👍 Would recommend!
R. N.
Food - mediocre 250g sirloin steak, could get anywhere else, bistro/pub quality
Dessert - wasn't bad at all, can't say no to chocolate
Drinks - average nothing amazing just drinks
Service - slow and slow, 1 waitress need to be hailed down with stop signs and flashing lights, abit rude not even smiling as if she doesn't want to be here
Overall, doubt I'd come back here for the price and service on a Monday night
A. D.
We stopped here for a drink given the pretty good happy hour specials available. While it was a little difficult to get a hold of the staff for service, we received our food and drinks pretty quickly once we were able to order. The outdoor area made for a great place to stop and take in the port before dinner. The food, itself, was nothing to write home about -- though we mainly ordered bar food.
K. K.
Love the steaks. Friendly staff. Nice view. Nothing to complain at all.
T. H.
Waterfront, relaxed restaurant that really knows how to do their meat.
I have visited here for a Saturday dinner with a group of 4, and we have really enjoyed the food, drink and the experience.
The lamb hook was delicious. Thick cuts of lamb pieces were skewed with other veggies, and have been cooked perfectly in medium. Sauce that came with it went well with the lamb.
I've also tried their surf and turf burger, which was impressive too. Would definitely return here for a burger lunch.
Before going, I was worried because I've read lots of negative reviews about their service, but we did not have any issue that evening. As the place got crowded it became pretty difficult to get staff's attention, but it wasn't much out of ordinary from similarly busy restaurants in the area.
N.
The staff were friendly, fun and courteous. The meal was nice.
E.
Great food. We had the medallion cut, highly recommended from the menu. The meat was tender and at 230grams was just the right size.
Service was a tad slow even though the restaurant wasn't that full on an Easter Sunday afternoon.
Will definitely come back here.
Y. Y.
Friendly staffs and delicious food, but it took a while to get our food, kinda slow.
M.
Negative reviews must be exclusively written by pompous single childs.
The place is great. The burgers aren't overkill, and value taste over shoving 100 ingredients inside.
Drinks were good. Service & Manager were great. You should drop by some time.
D. L. C.
Service is awful. If you go out on a Sunday prepare for places to be out of a lot of things...my kangaroo steak was delicious except for the sauce. Thank goodness it was on the side. Don't let anyone tell you that a medium rare preparation of kangaroo isn't edible. It's delicious.
H. P.
Great tasting burger.
Order via Ritual app which was takeaway only. I wasn't aware of this. They were nice about it but did not allow to be seated.
Overall, top score as the food was top notch.
M. R.
Had some great burgers here, be it the Cheeseburger and the Brie Burger. Both had very tasty meat patties and all was fresh and easy eating. Everything can quite quickly and the service was prompt and professional. Will be back again.
K. T. D. O. M.
Delicious, nice staff and drinks, meat tasty
J. v. H.
The restaurant had a nice atmosphere. And the food was really good. If you go with kids, they do have a kids meal that was very much enjoyed. Only thing I personally did not like was the tv that was in the middle of the restaurant, which was distracting and turned on for no reason. No one seemed to be paying attention.
j. u.
This place is great, didn't have any problems just walking in and getting a seat. The food was really good too. Funky onion rings with aioli really good with or without the sauce. Good meat, and potatoes. Definitely high on my list of places to eat at again.
M. X.
Great food at fairly reasonable prices. Could do with more variety though.
C. S.
Very nice food. Staff were friendly.
L. H.
Burger was great! Ribs a little overcooked but still tasted amazing. Amazing service and staff. Would love to come agian. Forgot to get a photo :(
A. Q. I.
Great restaurant to try the best kangaroo beef with a delicious honey jack daniels sauce. Was an amazing dinner time!
S. N.
Nice spot by the water for a drink after work. You may need to book on Friday and Saturday nights and if you have a big group. We had nice wine. They have a decent food menu but we were only there for a drink. They accept credit cards. They have mostly outdoor seats and some indoor seats.
S.
Went to Meat District for our kid birthday. Mixed impression. Service was excellent, staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful but unintrusive. Some foods were also good, like fries and onion rings (hard to fail :)), seared barramundi, and rocket salad with peanuts was excellent. But others were far from expectation. Cured meat platter was unimpressive - mortadella, sopressa quite ordinary; prosciutto was definitely sliced hours before serving and left on air so it dried, hardened, and even curled; only basturma-type cured beef was good. Medallion steak was cooked well and yummy except the sides were bitter as if they were burnt although didnt look like it. Most disappointing were beef brisket burger (most expensive on menu!) and pulled pork sandwich: both completely lacked salt but were as sweet as desert! We speculated the chef might have confused salt with sugar.
We did not complain cos didnt want to spoil birthday and not to upset the staff who wasnt at fault for what their chef made. Besides, it was half-price deal so, apparently, it may have been fair to get only about half food decent :). Not tempted to go there again though.
D. D.
The meals here were a haven for carnivores. I had the Kangaroo with the Jack Daniels sauce and it was AMAZING. The sauce was delicious and to make it even better the meal was Gluten Free. They have an upstairs and downstairs option for dining which was nice also. Clean environment/amenities and great service from the staff
P. B.
Fantastic dinner. Very friendly, helpful waitress who was keen to help and very attentive. Amazing steaks cooked perfectly and great flexibility, allowing us to change the regular chips for sweet potato fries at only a small surcharge. Will make sure to return here next time I'm in Sydney.
P. T.
Came here for happy hour. The wine was good if you are not into dry stuff. The staff were attentive and service was quick. The cocktail jugs are pretty looking. I had a few glasses of Markview Cabernet Merlot was great! At $5 a glass. View of darling harbour nice. They do take reservations
D. V.
food is always great and the staff are always so friendly. food is reasonably priced and the portions are generous. have never left here feeling hungry and great location for a casual meal
A. A.
Nice food , cool environment and friendly staff
S. B.
Food was divine, staff were lovely, Sangria was delish!
P. L.
Great food at a decent price for Barangaroo
J. R.
Worth a try. With great views and good burgers. Burgers are small n don't come with fries or salad. That's $5 more which sounds crazy.. Good decor nice service although they never checked up on us during the meal. Felt more like a fast food take away restaurant. They were happy to help but u have to ask for the help. American food but not American service..
J. H.
I recently visited this place. The steaks were cooked perfectly and drinks were superb. I have absolutely no complaints about the food.
However I had to intervene in related not been served drinks and shown the menu while a couple who sat next to us after we sat down managed to get their drinks and order plus ate their meal while we got nothing. I had to get up and ask for the water myself and bring attention to one of the waitress after 30 minutes of sitting down without being served drinks.
I have no idea we didn’t get the level of service on the day compared to other couple. We didn’t say nor offend any of the staff. This is totally unacceptable and quite embarrassing for me to get up as well as put my hands up in some occasions to get attention.
A. S.
Delicious burgers that are served fairly quickly. The restaurant is clean and has a great atmosphere. Sides are a bit pricey for the portions you get and staff could improve their service slightly but weren't rude by any means.
N. g.
Good portion and good price with the discount of first table/Liven or Eatclub. The sirlion beef is tasty, we also like crocodile burger. The kangaroo steak is ok. The pork ribs is the less good in the selection we had in my taste.
We came before 6pm and we could get happy hours drinks of 5$ for beers and 9$ for cocktails which was good.
However, the service is average. The waitresse was not very smiling and I needed to go to the bar for the payment.
L. W.
Great food. Service pretty poor though. Got told to go down stairs amd then werent given menues until we asked. Once served, weren't given forks enen though we said we would need them. For dessert we had to again ask for the menu because there wasnt one on our table. When we had service it was good and the food was good.
V. N.
Absolutely delicous ribs and the burgers were great. Service was fantasic, very welcoming particularly for the kids which is really nice compared to other places in the area. Prices were also pretty good considering the high quality of the food. Highly recommend!
S. B.
This was 1of the best feeds we have had.
Between 3 of us we ordered the huge MSD ribs combo. The food was hot to the end of the meal. Everything was prepared to the highest standard. Exceptional!
To say the least we highly recommend eating here.
M. T.
I wish I could say our dinner went off without a hitch, but I don’t believe in providing overly optimistic or false reviews. Frankly, with all the good things I’ve heard about Meat District Co, I was disappointed.
So what went wrong?
I don’t know why but our waiter cleared our salad away before we finished it. We were given a replacement but the whole affair left a negative impression. My friend ordered a crocodile burger, which was overcooked to the point of rubbery-ness. According to the kitchens, they can only serve it this way due to food safety laws. Something to keep in mind before ordering the crocodile burger.
The good:
The cocktails were superb, the burger/slider trio was a massive hit! The pulled brisket burger features cold pulled meat, which is a tad strange but tasty nonetheless.
Our recommendations/Prices:
Old Faithful Burger - MDC grass fed beef patty w. mixed greens, tomato, caramelised onions, pickles & house sauce - $17
CRUMBED CHICKEN BURGER - rocket, tasty sliced cheese, caramelised onion, aioli sauce and sautéed mushrooms $15.50
SLIDERS FLIGHT - 3 mini burgers: Old Faithful, Crumbed Chicken & Lamb Pull - $18.50
Chargrilled Kangaroo w. truffle mash potato and Jack Daniels sauce/gravy - $31.90
Truffle fries, truffle salt, truffle parmesan & truffle aioli - $9.50
Melon Chiller Jug - $30
A. D.
I went there for a team lunch. I had a brie burger, my colleagues had the ribs and we shared the truffle chips. My burger was yummy but quite small for the money. The trifle chips were amazing. I tasted the ribs and I thought they were overcooked and the sauce was very sweet.
W. D.
Service was great, and a nice vibe and decor of the place. Personally got the fish burger and wasn't a fan. Felt like the size of the fish portion was lacking. Would definitely get another item, if I was to visit again
J.
Mango Tango and Pimms N pony cocktails ..totally refreshing.
C. J.
Thank you for making my team lunch possible. You guys are awesome! Thank you!!!
A. O.
Good value. Food is lovely and enjoyable cocktails. Only thing that tends to let things down is the customer service, with staff sometimes not being very attentive. On two occasions dining here I had to flag a staff member down to order and then to pay.
J. A.
The food was good - I had kangaroo & my guest had steak (she loved it).
The service was pretty average - they took a while to ask me for a drink and then after waiting for ages we flagged another waiter over to finally take our dinner order.
N. S.
Service was average, but food and drinks were good. Prices seem compromable for the area, but it's not for the budget traveler. One burger, one combo and two drinks was about $90. Good atmosphere and location however.
B. M.
Lamb Hook Highly recommend it. Can't believe every one else got burgers. If you want to order that Go to Macas but I did steal chips of their plates. Yummo. "Dam Carbs why are you so yummy?.
Busy time of year at Christmas and the staff were inundated. But they managed to handle things with out to much of a wait 4 drinks. But I'm a thirsty man Note to self Order 2 at a time.
B. S.
We were initially seated between two hen's nights. We asked to be moved because of our two boys. This was dealt with very well. The food was simple but done well. I got the impression our Waitress was new. She wasn't certain on either the drink or food menu. I would go back.
S. V.
Nice place with a very good service. Staff was very friendly trying to help us with our dietary needs, especially the Brazilian waitress. It's really a pity that they don't have a vegan burger in their menu.
S. S.
Ribs was delicious but not the best. The sauce was too sweet. The meat platter was delicious and very generous serving for 2 people.
T. N.
Great food and drinks with amazing view of the harbour. Highly recommend for those looking for a casual dinner and entertainment.
D. S. T.
Our favorite place to go to when we want a good burger or steak. We love their truffle dishes and especially the chips. Do not expect your burger to be of enormous size or come with chips and salads. Those are extras however the quality of the food justifies portions and price.
A. K.
Food is great and reasonably priced. Staff are really friendly and accommodating.
The absolute best lemon lime and bitters post mixed. (Maybe just thirsty but they are really good)
n. c.
Nice view to the harbour and nice steak. Good service can't ask anything more. Worth to try
G. P.
Very good food and very nice service during the day. Try the crocodile burger. A bit busy in the evenings, hard to get a table without booking. Nice, spacious garden, relaxed atmosphere, but quote loud, so rather not for a romantic date.
C. S.
The burger that I got was excellent.
However the waitress asked if I wanted chips or salad with the burger as if it was included with the price of the burger. When I got the bill I realised that they charged extra for the side of chips.
The chips were also very ordinary and next time I would decline getting chips. They were also servers on a wooden serving board that only had a a layer of paper that stopped some of the chips from touching the wood that has scratches all over. Hopefully this food safety issue is corrected in future.
Next time I am in the area I think I would visit one of the many other places nearby.
S. J.
We all ordered beef burgers and they all came out overcooked. The meat patty is too big, it just dries out. I'd try something else if I go back here. The restaurant itself is quite nice though, and the staff were friendly.
B. H.
Good food and good service at Meat District Co on Kings Wharf.
We pre-ordered lunch as we were on a quick lunchtime business lunch, and the food was served within 10 minutes of arriving.
Steak medallions were tender, and the burgers were well put together and of great quality.
A. F.
The food was lovely and fresh, wait staff were helpful and friendly. I had the beef salad for lunch, my colleagues had burgers which they all agreed were delicious.
M. R.
Been here a few times, love the ribs
R. G.
Nice place and good food but the manager was a bit rude at closing time on one visit, maybe she's still there - I don't know, still worth a visit though, reasonable price and tasty.
R. D.
Highly recommend the family near platter and the baked bone marrow.
M.
Great tasting Rib Eye steak. Recommend for sure.
A. G.
Everything we had was delicious 😍 came here to try kangaroo and was so pleasantly surprised. The rest of the food was also great. Beautiful location great for lunch big or small groups. Staff was very friendly
S. F.
Have been here on several occasions and have never been disappointed. We always come here for the burgers and always walk out full and content with our meal. The prices are reasonable if you consider the quality of the food and the great location. We'll keep coming back.
P. L.
The place itself is actually quite nice and we knew immediately the pricing would be a bit higher so you would expect that little extra. The food is good but once again with the amount paid you would hope for a better balance in what you put in. Service wasn't too bad, at times they could be quite slow and once forgot our drink orders but nothing to get upset about. To sum it up: it's alllll riiiight.
A. S.
Great, quick, friendly, efficient service!
S. T.
The staff were very accommodating as they found us a table on a busy Saturday evening. Great steaks, good customer service and reasonable pricing.
J. L.
Great value 👍
P. M.
Great burgers and pulled meat rolls. Fairly decent prices for the location. Sit upstairs for a better view of the Darling Harbour. Seems consistently good as been here a couple of times and happy with it.
e. m.
A fantastic place to have dinner located in King Street Wharf. Great views onto Darling Harbour and Pyrmont. Service is friendly and helpful. Definitely come here for their grilled meats and burgers. Had the Ribs & Sirloin Combo. Meat was cooked just right and very tasty. The Lamb Hook looked wow and really nice too. The accompanying vegetables helped offset the richness of the meat and sauces.
B. B.
Made a reservation asking for a table with a good view and at the door they told me that they have given me a high table because I've asked for the view... we'll I was looking straight to the storage room... very uncomfortable chairs service very slow and some time confused..
apart of the service which on my opinion was very poor the food was very good. Worth a try for the rib eye!
R.
Great restaurant. Booked for in Father's Day and we turned up 40 mins early. They easily accommodated us. Food was great, service was great. Couldn't fault them on anything.
J. L.
Nice place with $5 beer happy hour
A. R.
My family and I absolutely loved the place, the staff were very friendly. Let’s talk about the foooood, I am speechless was on point, it came out exactly as we ordered, taste amazing
Keep it up 👍🏻
Definitely coming back ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
K. P.
I had the kangaroo steaks with truffle mash and HD sauce, and food was deliciou. The cocktails are good too.. which taste even better at happy hour prices! I would return with the girls just for the drinks and truffle chips.
P. C.
Nice place, good food and good beer, what more do you need 👍
J. M.
Food is great. Happy hour from 3 to 6pm.service could be a little better have been a good few times and on two occasions they forgot our drink orders leaving us waiting 20 minutes plus.
P. G.
Good chips and burgers. Ribs and wings leave something to be desired. Service seemed to be constantly pushing us rather than been attentive. Trying to temove plates with food still on them is a bit of a no no.
H. R.
Staffs Courtesy, patience and detailed knowledge about the dishes was amazing. The ambiance just by the bay, with the tasty food will make it an eventful evening...that won't be forgotten.
J. Q.
Booked in on a Sunday for Lunch with my Wife.
Food was fantastic & left us both wanting to go back again.
Good location, good staff and good food. A+
A. M.
My observation down stairs very lively and upstairs more relaxing.
Service ok but could improve, Food awesome, Price reasonable.
Booking recommended.
R. S.
Food is great specially the steaks.
Sitting is bit crowdy with lot of noise.
I will go again.
F. v. R.
Great food, great venue. Service could have been quicker.
E. P.
Meat, meat, meat! Awsome food at reasonable prices friendly staff and great atmosphere. BBQ sauce is amazing. Happy hour from 4-6 $8 cocktails and selectiong of lunch specials. Well worth a visit!

So good. Friendly service, willing to adjust meal to suit us. Delicious food - Portugese chicken and salad, and a burger. Prices were good for lunch too.

We came in a big group and had the set menu. It was good value and quality and we were so full. Service could be improved, some of the waitresses were helpful but some had attitude.

We get in and everything Start good,
We ordered 2 spritz and 1 cured meat platter for entree, they bring us only one spritz, but no problem they made another one straight away,
Then we had 2 sirloin medium rare as main and here comes the problem, the sirloin instead of being medium rare were medium well, we eat them anyway cause we were hungry, I'm really disappointed by this cause it's a steak house and they supposed to knwo the meat temp (I'm a chef so I'm not joking around, and I hope was an order misunderstanding)
At the end I give them 3 star cause of the platter and the spritz, the were really good, but I'm not gonna definitely come back.

Food is great, once it eventually arrived. Customer service was really slow

Had kangaroo. Cooked perfectly. Sides of yummy sweet potato chips and truffle fries. Reasonable wines. Pleasant staff.

Meals OK, but unsure why an order of 2 would come out 10 minutes apart. Service lacking. This place has potential but need to improve service standards.

Great vibes on the water, very polite staff and an excellent range of meals

Food is a bit on the expensive side, nothing exciting really. Had to wait 20-30 minutes before asking the staff if the food was ready - turned out it was, but nobody bothered to serve. No split bills.

Went there with a group of people for office lunch. We were put on the corner and we could here loud bang noises everytime the staff chuck beer bottles. Not very pleasant. Food was tasty but they messed up the order, missing this and that, not exactly following the specific order.

good food. service was average at best, had to get the attention of staff to order food and drinks...didn’t bother getting more drinks it all seemed too hard. would be back if the service improved

Great service in challenging conditions. It was a packed Sunday night thanks to Vivid, but the staff were awesome! Good comfort food in a good location.

My kinda place! If you love eating meat and drinking beer, then it's perfect.

The food was delicious, the music was at just the right volume so we could talk without having to raise our voices. The atmosphere was relaxed.

Good variety of burgers, ribs, and most meat dishes you would expect. The lamb hook is an old favourite and good sized portions.

Food was really nice. Price was fairly high but reasonable with the location and atmosphere. dining room is cool looking, but was abit noisy. friendly staff, great place for dinner.

Portugueese burger was fantastic but missed the portugeese flag in the menu. Good service and a nice atmosphere / location on a wednesday evening. Wasnt the best ever to get 5 stars but was still really nice.

Nice open air dining area, staff could be more attentive, food was tasty I had Sirloin Steak and ribs combo with chips very nice just enough for 1 person but at full price not good value...
Staff needs to be more attentive as service was lacking.

Smack bang in the middle of Cockle Bay Wharf - it's the place to be seen and be seen hahaha. I love the metal menus in the shape of a butcher's knife - it's just fitting with the theme of this place. Getting the summer sun, the Pimm's cocktail was the perfect prelude to my LAMB HOOK, PORK BELLY RIBS and KALE WALDROF salad!
Expectations were exceeded superbly with the sticky glaze on that moistly cooked rack of ribs! The lamb skewer was soo so tender, I'd been let down not too long ago at a competitor venue and was chuffed to enjoy this one! Great crowd, Great scenery and wonderful service from Jenny and her team, can't wait to go back!

Amazing food and the staff was excellent!

Good food. Good service. Be careful of the cocktail special, they advertise cocktails for $8 but they only tell you that you HAVE to eat if you want to order the second round.

Best most juicy and tender steak I have ever tasted and a great red wine on the side!!

Got off the ferry at Barangaroo looking for a decent place to have lunch, this was the only place we found that seemed good. The food was excellent, one of the best burgers I’ve ever had and the staff were very friendly.

Good food, very polite staff, food came out a little cold but they were busy and the wait staff kept us topped up with beer the whole time
Recommend the pulled lamb...excellent twist and amazing sauce

Had the spicy pulled chicken sandwich with chips. I loved that sandwich. Draft beer was decently priced and cold as well. It was exactly what I needed.
J. S.
Good selection of drinks, didn’t cater much to vegetarians which makes sense. Attended for a birthday, service was good for a large group.

The food was great and the service was friendly and quick. The beetroot chips were delicious. I had the beef ribs which had plenty of meat and lots of flavour.

Great staff. Very friendly. And yes, plenty of meat but also yummy desserts. Suitable for both lunch and dinner. Good catering options.

The place is designed for tourist so if that's what you are looking for this place won't disappoint. Food was average. Service was average.

Went there on a Sat night, we had little bit of a false start but all worked out in the end. Food was good, service was good, and prices were reasonable.

Well prepared steaks, very tasty. Generous portions and fast service. A very pleasant dinner experience.

The food is great. I think they need to train up their wait staff though. Also found our Oreo shake was sub par. Will come again though.
