For a tasty Vietnamese lunch in the CBD that has a menu with all your favourite dishes, it's worth a visit to My Lua.
_
We tried the following dishes:
_
Vermicelli bun salad with nem nuong (home made Vietnamese pork sausage) and grilled pork - this was the first time I've eaten nem nuong, I thought it would be a bit fatty but it wasn't at all, the meat was very well flavoured and extremely tasty.
_
Rice paper rolls with assorted fillings - prawn, beef and pork - the rolls tasted super fresh inside, I enjoyed the dipping sauce that accompanied.
_
Steamed bao buns with BBQ chicken and pork - the buns were quite big compared to the ingredients inside. I would give them a point down as I felt the ratio of filling was too little compared to the size of the bun, felt like we were eating a lot of bread.
_
‘My am sunrise' fresh juice with apple, orange and carrot. ‘Exotic lemonade' with watermelon, lemon and strawberry.
The juices were fresh which was great and come in a lovely re-useable glass bottle.
Note: I dined as a guest of the venue, all views expressed are my own.

Looking for good and quick Vietnamese lunch in the CBD? Look no more, this the place. You’ll find your usual Vietnamese feed here like pho, vermicelli salad, banh mi and spring rolls. All well made and very homey. Come check them out on your lunch break.

Love the ambience of this place. The bamboo on the wall gives the place an oriental feel, while the red colour scheme gives the place a soothing, calm atmosphere. I tried a terriyaki chicken roll and it was good value for money while having great flavour and a wide variety of topping options. The staff had a playful attitude which made it fun. I also tried the green tea latte here and strongly recommend it. Overall, loved the experience of being at Plato's.

As a Vietnamese-born Australian, l am an avid lover of Pho and Roi Cuon (Rice Paper Rolls). As a result, l ventured out to the Sydney CBD for an invite to My Lua by the owner. This is a honest review based on my palate. I had the Regular Pho Dac Biet ($13.90) which consists of all things Beef with Beef Balls, Tripe, Thinly Sliced Beef and Beef Shin topped with Spring Onions and Sliced Chilli. A squeeze of lemon, the addition of Vietnamese Herbs they give you and adding the Hoisin Sauce + Sriracha Chilli Sauce combo further enhances the already decent flavour profile of the long cooked Pho Broth. I give the meal 4 stars because I felt the Pho Broth needed more impact which l voiced my concerns to the owner. This could be done by steeping the spices longer but l assure the flavour of the broth is there but it is more suited to the Western Palate. Their Grilled Pork Rice Paper Roll was my favourite from the meal as it had the cgar from the BBQ plus the freshness from the herbs and cucumber made every bite pleasing to the tastebuds Review is on Instagram by @awks.eats

Great food - high quality, generous at a very fair price. Inviting and comfortable seating inside and outside. But to top it off, we really enjoyed the friendly service.

If you want healthy lunch in CBD ! Vietnamese is Ur answer. Either beef pho on a rainy or sick day or rice paper rolls and bao. Simple quick and delicious for work 😁

The food is not bad but nothing special. I order vermicelli salad with meat, the meat and sauce lacked a bit of taste but not bad, a bit expensive for what it is (you can find tasty vermicelli salad for 12$, here it's 15$)

Love the coffee! They make my Macchiato strong and creamy, just how I like it. Staff are pleasant too. Totally recommend this place.

Good food, decent service. The food was a little slow to come out and was not all at once for our group of 10. Happy overall.

Pho is weird, pork was a bit smelly.

Absolutely delicious! Possibly the best Banh mi I’ve ever had. A hidden gem

Great coffees and I love their avocado on sourdough. So simple but they nail it

Lovely cafe tucked away from the rush of the city. Little oasis where you can relax for a while. Serves beer and alcohol now too!

Good cafe, so-so coffee but great food. Very asian inspired.

It's my daily morning coffee stop - they know my name, they know my order - a great way to start the day
