It was beautifully presented and tasted just as delicious! Would 100% recommend coming here as it was not too pricey either. I will for sure be coming back soon!

N. P.The restaurant in the prime location at the Darling harbor. We enjoyed the amazing view of the CBD skyscrapers and the Sydney Tower. We ordered a couple of plate of steaks and a plate of calamari. The taste was unexpectedly great. The staff was good. But the price was a bit expensive. They have happy hours for selected drinks and dinner menus in the evening. (every pubs and restaurants here also have happy hours as well.) Not a bad idea to enjoy the lively evening vibe at the Darling harbor.

The mash was a consistency to my liking and the lemon grass dill combination an interesting addition.
It was cooked well, presented well and delivered with good quality service in a nice atmosphere with an outstanding view.

G. N.We visited on a Monday afternoon. There was no waiting and we got a great table. The menu was varied, with something for everyone. The meals were tasty and very good value. A free drink was appreciated with our meals. The staff were pleasant, interested and professional. Not 5 star food, but for what it is - tasty food in a great setting - it is a 5 star experience.

P.My husband and I have just had our dinner here a short time ago and I would just like to say that it is the best restaurant we have ever been to, from the garlic bread we had as an entree to a fantastic most delicious giant seafood platter for two and the most professional, friendly staff who treat you like family, they even dressed up my chocolate brownie dessert after us mentioning that it was our wedding anniversary of 31 years by decorating around the plate the words happy anniversary, now there is not many restaurants that will do something like that. We would definitely come back here and will most certainly spread their name to our local area and on Facebook, thankyou to the chefs for a delicious winner dish and the waitresses especially one in particular, I didn’t know her name but she was absolutely fantastic, thankyou to you all for making our night & anniversary weekend away special 😀👍🏻🥰💐

T. H.Wow! Olivo serves value for money with a two course meal with drink for $37. My partner and I enjoyed our meal of arancini balls & salt and pepper squid for the entrees and chicken fettucini and rare scotch fillet (cooked to perfection) for the mains. All of this while taking in the sights and sounds of Darling Harbour - if you're harbour-side do yourself a favour and stop into Olivo's!

M. W.After reading some reviews I went in with low expectations but was blown away by the food. My Kangaroos steak was beautiful and the Arancini appetizer was lovely as well. Service was a little slow but friendly. Will visit again next time I am in Sydney.

Good choice of courses. I had the special dinner offer - choose from the menu offering: either a starter and main or main and dessert. My choice was prawns saganaki followed by zuppa di pesce: both good.
Licensed, with BYO OK every day except Saturdays. Table service acceptable, but not particularly outstanding (poor English language skills and they 'forgot' the dessert ordered by one of our party).
Complimentary WiFi- ask for password.
N. Y.Great place by the water. I would of given 5 stars if it wasn't for the rude waitress who was serving us. She asked me to repeat my drink order, a "house white", not once but three times. Once or twice is fine given its outdoors, but after three times you would think if she's was even listening.

A. K.This is one of the best Italian meals I have had in my life. The aroma, the ambience and the location were all just perfect. Even though it was quite cold outside, the heaters made it very comfortable to sit outside. The staff even moved it closer on request.
The garlic bread is the most authentic Italian garlic bread I have ever had.
It was the first time I tried mussels and I was not disappointed. The sauce was just finger-licking good.
The Linguine Carbonara was so good, it almost made me cry. The sauce was such a beautiful blend of flavours, it was easily the best part of the meal.
The Chicken Milanese was also quite exquisite with a perfect sauce on the side to add to the flavours.
The dessert was the perfect cherry on top; the Vanilla Crème Brulee was so perfectly glazed, it almost broke my heart to break the layer.
We got all of this on a great deal as well and the total bill was shockingly low for 3 starters, 2 glasses of wine, 3 mains and a dessert!
And to top it all off, all the staff was really helpful, patient and courteous. Overall, a perfect package of a restaurant just opposite the Darling Harbour ferris wheel.

M.I had dinner before the COVID and luckily could have a late dinner as it was the only restaurant with the kitchen open and was AMAZING, service, food (even though was late the chefs cooked perfectly). Unfortunately when I decided to eat again as it was beautiful the last time and couldn’t wait to go again... wasn’t good. Our first waiter was good, polite and friendly, but I think he went to his break or finished and then another person was in charge but the waitress didn’t took our order for dessert and our drinks order as well. Food wasn’t nicely.
Anyways the view is good and if you are lucky the food will be lovely.

T. E.My partner and I spent a few hours looking around online for somewhere to eat and we came along Olivo Harbourside. I had a look at the menu and saw that they did a three course meal for $47 and was quite pleased with the price and made a reservation.
I’m looking at the set menu there was not much to choose from however, when my partner and I arrived we were sat very quickly and told that there was more of an option for the three course meal and that there is a glass of wine included.
I ordered the Garlic bread for the entree, the Angus rump for the main and the chocolate brownie for dessert.
My partner ordered the salt and pepper calamari for the entree, the lasagna for the main and the brownie for dessert.
The meals were brought out evenly timed after we had finished our previous dish and the food was excellent. It was well cooked and very tasty. For dessert I do recommend getting the Toblerone for a cocktail and have it with the Brownie. This cocktail was absolutely delicious and probably the best cocktail I have ever had
All in all, my experience was excellent at Olivo Harbourside and I do recommend to others. Don’t forget though that there are other meals included in the set menu.

The happy hour drinks started the evening off well and the offer of BYO wine ($10 a bottle corkage) allowed us to bring some special bottles. The price of the food was outstanding value, especially considering the Darling Harbour location. Thanks so much to the staff for making the night so great.

The food: tasty! We all ordered different meals and I had the beef short ribs. It was tasty and the quantity was good too. The chefs were on point! I got to taste the other meals my friends ordered too and same thing, tasty.
I'm definitely going back and highly recommend.

W. H.I had dinner here recently and once before a while ago. I will review the recent experience as the first one was top notch this one not so good. Maybe it changed hands or management but it felt slightly different. The food was OK, not spectacular, the protein in my burger was stringy and I almost chocked a bit, but that may be caused by my awkwardness, the burger lacked sauce or flavour, it felt very standard, plus the bun was dry and very thick, almost 60% bun 40% fillings. Chips were great though. We went for the special they had that night which was a main and a dessert plus house wine for $37 which seemed like a good deal. On my burger I ordered extra bacon, which I saw did have an extra charge of $2, but since there were other mains of greater value I assumed it wouldn't be an extra charge. But it was which kinda annoyed me, yes it's an extra item, but the cost of that burger is still under the price of other mains.
I gave this review a 4 star as the first one was 5 star and this was about 3 star, so I averaged it.

J. G.My girlfriend and I had dinner here recently both had the $33 fillet steak, we both ordered medium. Mine was just fatty but unfortunately hers was over done and fatty. The mash and the jus however were delicious just a shame the main element was not done justice.
The location is excellent, right in Darling Harbour and perfect for an evening.
The service was average and we paid by card, as usual there was the wait for the card machine and we were going to leave a tip but they had taken the receipt wallet and there was no option to leave on via the card machine.
Overall an average place for a nice evening meal, next time we visit we will be having a burger or pasta.

We ordered salt& pepper calamari and garlic prawns for entrée, Veal Putanesca and a seafood dish served in a rich but tasty tomato sauce, (not sure of the name) for mains and we shared a lovely chocolate / hazelnut desert with ice cream for desert. We were given a glass of wine while we looked over the menu, which was quite nice and couldn't fault anything of our experience. The meals were very tasty and fresh and enjoyed it immensely! Would go there again and will tell all our friends about it .
M. N.I went to Olivo Restaurant for breakfast with a friend. My cappuccino and omelette were ok, but nothing special. The orange juice was not nice, too watery and probably from concentrate. The view is really nice though. I would go there again.

J. L.Iconic views of Darling Harbour, Iconic italian flavours and superb service (we had Kate and a lovely asian woman whose name slipped my mind!!!)
If you can't decide from the extensive ENTREE SELECTION, I highly recommend the tempura zucchini flowers with beautiful bursts of cottage cheese and pine nut stuffing. The Saganaki Prawn rests in an interesting sauce of white wine, lemon, cherry tomatoes, oregano and chilli. The meatballs are juicy and tender taking this classic italian favorite to new levels with the use of Wagyu beef - its unlike anything out there! The Arancini is glamoured up with buffalo mozzarella, saffron and truffle. The hints of fushion are so subtle without diluting the rustic Italian many of us know and love.
Amy tells us that the pastas, crostini and ciabatta are made fresh on site! The best of Aussie ingredients, seafood and meats are sourced and used in their sauces, aioli and signature dishes. The SPAGHETTI MARINARA is a great example of this - featuring prawns, calamari, octopus, clams in a fresh home made Napoltana sauce. If you're looking for something a little lighter, The ZUPA DI PESCE is another variation of this but also has Flathead in a Napoltana stew. I've had both and they are top notch.
In terms of pastas and soup - There is something about the SPAGHETTI BOLOGNAISE in terms of the sauce and meat that is so much richer than usual, and dont quote me, but I'm sensing Wagyu beef, which is so delicate and so absorbed with the sauce's flavor.
The surprise for me here is the Italiano's answer to the ultimate Vegetarian option. I'm not a vegetarian myself but was taken aback by the FRIED GNOCCHI - potato pasta with a smokey flavour of wild mushrooms and potent peccorino cheese. Beautiful done and definitely a standout for me.
The Desserts here are wonderful. The TIRAMISU is served up in the shape of a boat with the right balance of coffee soaked sponge and mascapone, The CREME BRULEE custard is light, airy with the perfect punch of vanilla. But the standout for me - was the DARK CHOCOLATE & COINTREAU PANNA COTTA with Raspberry Coulis - it's a refreshing change to the plain jane cooked cream we are use to seeing and it's pairing with raspberry is reminiscent of a Black Forrest cake - again another subtle twist in their fushion.
Central location in darling harbour, lots of light, view of the water and perfect for large groups, events and celebrations - i highly recommend a visit here!!!
