Visited here twice in a week; firstly with a group for breakfast which was great; good coffee, huge slices of raisin toast and other breakfast orders seemed fine. 2nd occasion I had a takeaway meal of Char grilled Peri Peri Chicken ($20) The chicken was so dry and overcooked that I ended up having to throw most of it in the bin. The chips were abundant and to die for, the scoop of salad that had been placed in the same container with the hot food was not surprisingly, soggy and unappealing. Great to see them using cardboard instead of plastic for takeaway meals though. I think the place has a lot of potential, especially so if the fluro lighting were replaced with something to improve the atmosphere and create ambience. On both occasions staff were warm, friendly and welcoming.

Such a good place to relax after the beach. Great food, nice beers and friendly service. I had the steak sandwich (very good) 2 nights running. Wouldn’t dream of eating in busy Nelson Bay after how good it is here.

Do yourselves a favour and come here for a feed. Stayed at Ingenia holiday Park and had a few meals here. Nothing disappointed. Great prices and service and the food is comfort food personified. $5 happy hour beers 4-5pm daily. Great young people rolling their sleeves up and having a real go. Support them!

I had a Caesar salad and chicken burger and here the other week and hands down one of the best burger and salad in town. Will go back for sure!!

Not cheap, but great food. Maybe a touch heavy on the salad dressing. Would be good if they provided the dressing in a small jug to pour yourself or something.

This is truely something special, nestled and hid away Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. Absolutely phenomenal, steak was cooked to absolute perfection and the chicken salt well butter my butt and call be a biscuit. 5 star 5 star 5 star. But wait there’s more the staff are super friendly and intelligent. We were cheering for joy. Good job team. Update: I was just reminiscing on those past days and remembered this gem. I honestly believe that this authentic takeaway was one of a kind you could even say it was limited edition. Team I want to thankyou as a cohort for your amazing hospitality venue. As I sit here and reminisce tears are brought to my eyes of such the memorable times that will be told for generations on end.
