Good value for money Restaurant on the water. It was a warm day and the breeze was lovely. The seafood linguine was really nice and perfectly cooked but unfortunately the lobster linguine was only average (overcooked). Fish and chips was good. Looks like it would be a nice venue to have a drinks and cocktails.

Came here for as a treat for my birthday, the waitress we had was super nice and she walked us through the menu since it was our first here. Ordered the kangaroo and lobster, they were absolutely delicious and the meat were oh so tender! Dessert (pistachio dome) was pretty nice but might have been a bit too sweet for my taste. Overall the food and service were on point 👌 Would definitely recommend.

Was bought here on a first date and the staff and atmosphere was incredible. So polite and humble. We really enjoyed their lovely personalities and the vibe throughout. Definitely a must to come down and visit this place. Food is incredible and pricing is good too, hard to find great Italian food these days but Planar is definitely one of them!

Loves the atmosphere here, and the people. They are a friendly bunch and food is great. They are quite busy to worth booking prior to your visits. The Pizza is really good and the staff knows what they are doing when they give you recommendations. Also if you request they do write happy birthday on the dessert plates. So will definitely suit a celebration.

After walking around the Chinese gardens we had lunch here. Entres were great and large enough to have as a main meal. Service exceptional. Our waiter had a very impressive memory (there were 6 of us) and he was spot on

Customer service was phenomenal. Even though we had to wait to place our food order (due to how busy the kitchen was) we were promptly informed by staff and attended to. Sometimes hard to hear inside when it's busy - but is a great atmosphere. If you're a dog lover, I recommend sitting outside because this place is dog friendly 🐕 The food was delicious - but worth the wait! And they serve marshmallows with their hot chocolates 😄

Good food, reasonable service, great view (ask for an outside table), reasonably priced. Beverage list had a fair few 'out of stock' beers and wines. Be aware they will not split the bill (a problem for a work Christmes lunch). Would recommend as they have a menu for all tastes.

Great ambience and customer service. We ordered the lobster pizza and surprisingly they put half a lobster on top of the already lobster filled pizza! Very good value for money. The let down was the bread.. They just chucked slices of wholemeal bread when it's supposed to be sourdough.

Great atmosphere if not too windy. Food came out quickly. Tasty duck ravioli. Good pizza. Difficult to get staff's attention, getting water was a challenge. Many of the dessert options were not offered, but they didn't say upfront. Music too loud inside. Did not turn it down (or turned it down a negligible amount) despite agreement, twice!

Came to try this restaurant for the first time tonight. Ordered a seafood pizza and a mixed fruit drink. Welcome staff was helpful and most part of the pizza was pretty tasty. However, the reason not giving five star rating due to the following: 1. A large portion on the base of the pizza was badly burned, bitter taste. 2. No visible table number display. When I asked for the bill before payment, the waiter just told me to pay at the bar directly. After I'm about to make payment at the bar, the staff there asked me which table I was sitting, very hard to describe without a table number (for it was far away from where we standing) or an itemized bill as he then continue to read out a bunch of dishes that I didn't order. I had to correct and repeat "One seafood pizza and one mixed fruit drink..." several time. Finally he got it right, but I think this drama would've been avoided altogether if simply - A. have a table number clearly displayed on each table or B. Just print a bill for the orders made by the table before paying at the bar.

Amazing food, friendly service and a really nice atmosphere. This little gem is hidden away at the northern end of the Sydney International Convention Centre. With its heated outdoor dining and casual seating, this cosy restaurant has plenty to offer. The service was fast and friendly, the menu had a selection of modern Australian with international favourites. I ordered the seafood platter and was absolutely delighted at the freshness of the grilled barramundi, lobster, prawns and mussels. The salt and pepper calamari was also delicious as is the battered dish. Service was friendly and down to earth. I will definitely go back!

Went here for dinner and ordered the beef ribs and prawn Caesar salad (also ordered broccolini but they were out). Food was ok - neither good nor bad. The chips and the chilli red wine sauce with the beef ribs were tasty however the beef ribs were quite dry and over cooked (also 1 rib so technically not beef ribs). Ribs and chips were on the small side. The salad was better and quite a generous amount of prawns - the prawns also tasted like they were cooked fresh prawns rather than frozen which was a bonus! Prawns weren’t seasoned or grilled so we’re a bit simple tasting. Salad greens were fresh but could have done with more. Probably wouldn’t come back unless for drinks.

Went for a casual dinner to try out the new location. It wasn't busy, but I wouldn't recommend opting for the lounge seats. Looks comfortable but not as practical if you are trying to eat. I ordered the pasta which was very nice, but as usual with parcelled pasta, you don't get much. Ideal if you are looking for Sunday afternoon drink turning into a dinner.

Had dinner on friday to celebrate my friend's birthday. Amazing juicy and tender steaks, amazing attentive service, the service, the wine list very well rounded and a really great overall first time experience to this restaurant. Dessert was perfectly proportioned so we weren't stuffed and the manager Aret who wrote a very special happy birthday on my friend's plate. Will definitely be back...

Nice food and coffee. Their pizzas are especially good. There are couple of big ovens around the middle of restaurant where they 'stone bake' the pizzas, which comes out beautiful chewy with puffy crust. Their furniture is mostly soft, big and comfy. Some of the sofas looked awfully dirty with wine stains. More than half of their dining area is outdoor. Great place to have a lazy weekend brunch/lunch, on a nice sunny day. Service was always with smiles but not particularly attentive and have felt a little bit slow, as the place filled up.

We did not eat here are for vegetarians there are limited options here. Mainly pizza s but we did not want to eat another pizza and instead went for indian food elsewhere.

Service was good. The waitress was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived this morning at 8:30am. She was also very helpful by getting us a high chair for our 15 month old. The food presentation was great too, however the coffee was not nice, it was weak. The French toast brioche was stale! And they charge a ‘Sunday Surcharge’, so be mindful of this. For 2 adults the Sunday surcharge was $3.98. The London breakfast was okay - just like any other big breakfast plate. The baked beans were from a can and the chorizo was quite oily. The good thing is I was able to change the ‘fried eggs’ to scramble. I’ve had their lunch special during the weekdays here - the pizza and that was good. But I wouldn’t come back for breakfast again unless they improve their barista; as coffee is an essential part of any breakfast! and kill their Sunday Surcharge. —updated post Came back here again for 2 x lunches over the last month; one with my partner and toddler and the other time with work. Lunch is great! Waitresses at both occasions were friendly despite one of the occasions we went was during the Boar Show, so it was super busy. Both times I had the burger $18.00 Lunch Express meal and it was delicious!!! I have changed my google star review from 3 starts to 5 out of 5 on the basis of my lunch experience with Planar Restaurant! Great view too of the Harbour!

Lovely Harbourside restaurant just under the ICC. Considering its prime location, Planar is the perfect place for a weekend brunch, after work drinks or even just a quick bite to eat before a conference. You can get some pretty spectacular front-row views of the water and city lights (and Saturday night fireworks if you timed it well) at their alfresco outdoor dining terrace area. The ink cocktail 🍸 is a fun colour-changing designer drink to have and we liked the sautéed cauliflowers. The stone-baked pizza is perfect for sharing 🍕 Service is friendly and attentive. Oh - the chocolate dome dessert is a must try too!

Went there for office christmas party. Had to wait for a good 10 minutes to show us to our reserved table. The waiting staff named Asish was so good and very helpful. Starters were Prawn lollipops, Cauliflower and wagyu sliders. It was amazing. Had Pan fried Salmon for main. The Salmon itself was good but the potato mash was not my favorite. The deserts were okay. Happy with the experience from the lovely staff.

Beautiful restaurant with waterfront view. They fulfilled my request for a bespoke order of their Duck Ravioli with Four Cheese Sauce which was such a luxurious treat! Their Vegan Fettuccine which comes in a Chimichurri Sauce was so delightful on the palette that it left all of us pretty stunned and pining for more. Awesome place to hang out and enjoy great conversation over good food!

One of the best seafood plater I ever had. Price is $120, but worth it. Lots of calamari and flavour was amazing. Fish and chips served generously, yogurt sauce was light and battered sauce was spot on!. Grilled barramundi was delicious too.

Held a cocktail making class here the other night and it was amazing!! The cocktails we made were so good and Jose our instructor was lovely, helpful and patient with our minimal skills. Food was also delicious, I had the pappardelle ragu…soooo good.🤩 Will definitely be back!

Visited for the first time: lunchtime, mid-week. Not crowded, no booking required. We ate outside in a nice covered area with views of the harbour. Table service was efficient and polite. Food was very good - perhaps the stand-out dish was my wife's Planar Mezze Platter: excellent value for money. My Pappardelle Ragu was very good, but perhaps not as spectacular as the Mezze. Surprisingly they had run out of all Chardonnays, so I settled for a Riesling. My wife enjoyed her house shiraz - very quaffable. We intend to visit again shortly, probably for their daily 'Happy Hour' (1500~1800) with $5.00 beer, spirits and wine, $10.00 cocktails and share plates at various prices. No surcharge for use of credit card.

Situated directly under the Sydney International Convention Centre, this modern restaurant offers a cool outdoor seating area and amazing views of Darling Harbour. We visited on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and ordered the oysters, truffle prusciutto pizza and seafood platter for 2. Each dish was delicious, with our personal favourite being the seafood platter, which was beautifully presented on a wooden board. On weekends you may also be lucky enough to catch the nearby street performances or 9pm Saturday night fireworks. With plenty of breakfast, lunch and dinner options on Planar's very impressive menu, we cannot wait to be back for more!

Excellent lunch spot next to Darling Harbour. It has a great atmosphere and the service is very good. Had the Prawn Lollipops and Squid, would definitely recommend the prawns. Price is a bit high but not unexpected given the setting and location. Would revisit anytime.

Mediocre food very small food servings for the price, over priced drink, bad customer service took 40 minutes to come to the table. Food came cold, doesn’t come with advertised ingredients, pappardelle pasta came with two peas, duck ravioli had ridiculous servings.

If you plan on going to Planar here is what to expect. The scenery and decor is 10/10. If you want somewhere to take nice photos and socialise this is the place. If for some reason the waitstaff are busy and can’t offer their service. You can download Me&U which allows you to order through an app. Which is innovative as it allows you to bypass the wait time. The waitstaff wreak of professionalism. They cater to your needs and always check up on you. Wandering around double checking your meal and beverages are satisfying. Planar succeeds in making you feel important and noticed. IF your main reason for coming here is the food... it’s mediocre. Planar is for the socialising and drinking. The food never has a lot of produce and is over rated. Although this may be true I HUGHLY recommend it for how satisfying the view and vibes are.

We ordered Planar Pizza, Tumeric Cauliflower Salad, Chips and Calamari the food was delicious 😋 with Gin & Tonic Special and Apple Cider, We went using #TheForkAu Discount so it only cost us 87. 20$ which for the amount of food we thought it was well worth it. The staff are super helpful and cheerful and we went on Thursday, they had a live singer which I enjoyed who doesn't like bit of Soft Rock or bit Bon Jovi while your chilling n eating. This was our first time and would definitely come again even without the discount. Next time your near darling harbour or city head over it's really nice bar restaurant

Worth a try. The location and atmosphere are almost unbeatable, however that seems to be what you pay most of the money for. While the food itself was tasty, without a doubt, for the price you pay you could find some better options in the city. This is probably coming out more harsh than expected. Great location, perfect for dining outside and having a nice view of the harbour. We were a large party, but the staff would only ask one side if they wanted drinks, not the other staff, had to do a lot to get staff attention for more drinks. Everyone got their food apart from one person, who got their meal when everyone finished, it was disorganised. The food tasted amazing, I really enjoyed my kimchi wagyu fried rice, it was very flavourful and a big serving. Food was great, location was great, staff need to lift their game.

Amazing cocktails! Arrived just before happy hour finished and took advantage of their $10 cocktails. The service was so lovely that we came back for dinner. We were surprised by how large the portions were, and all of our meals were very tasty. Only complaint is that our pizza came out about 10 minutes after everyone else got their food. Look the food here is really great and the coffee is amazing according to my wife (I don't drink coffee) but the service was definitely lacking, waited almost an hour for our breakfast to come out and then had to remind them that I was still waiting on a juice that was ordered with the coffee when we first arrived, now I'm still giving it 4 stars because I can understand that it is very hard to get staff at the moment and the food was really good, hopefully you can get some more staff soon.

Excellent brunch place with its unique menu, great service, and cool decor. The place was pretty busy for a Tuesday around 10:30am but we were seated right away for a table of 3. The menu was pretty explosive with items like cured kangaroo which immediately catch your eye. We opted for the pizza and the barramundi which were perfect. I must warn you that the servings are very large and we could have easily shared our meals.

Had dinner on Thursday evening to celebrate my partners birthday. We were seated by the window and the lighting complimented the experience. The steak was exquisite and the wine list very well rounded. We had the squid as an entree and it was the perfect size to share without spoiling our 300g rib eyes. Dessert was perfectly proportioned so we weren’t stuffed and the chef wrote happy birthday on my partners plate. Which although often done, felt very special. Paige looked after us and was an absolute delight with an apt knowledge of all the products on both the wine list and the food menu. Will definitely be back in the near future!

Gave them 5 stars last time I was here & I wasn’t disappointed once again. Simply for been open after 5pm they deserve 5stars, thanks guys! With so many good restaurant coffee shops in Sydney, best coffee and breakfast in town comes down to taste but this would sit amongst the best. This place can get busy & it’s understandable why. Deep roasted coffee so it speaks to the stronger palate, I enjoyed a tall macchiato & the Mrs. had a flat white. Great pastries but I would recommend the ham & cheese croissant. Will definitely be back.

A great restaurant with very high quality food, meat and dishes. The restaurant itself felt like a gentleman’s club, dark and mysterious but sophisticated. We ordered the rib eye steak and it was delicious. We split it between us since it was so big, but having some sides with it was excellent. The restaurant is in a beautiful location on the harbour and has a beautiful atmosphere. The live music was a wonderful bonus as well! The food was very yummy. However, we ordered a starter to our table that never arrived and ended up finding out it was delivered to the table near us. On two of our burgers, we asked for no pickles, which they noted down as the food was ordered, but when the burgers arrived, they both still had pickles in them. Another issue we had was that we ordered a drink from the wait staff at the beginning of our meal, and then went to the bar of the restaurant to order the same drink and it was more expensive! (This wasn’t due to happy hour times) Customer service was very average - hard to flag down wait staff. Overall, an okay restaurant that has great potential and nice food but is let down by the lack of communication between its staff members.

This place is amazing!!! Busy cafe and in my opinion the best, their coffee has always been excellent but more importantly, they go out of their way to be helpful and extremely friendly at all times and specially when they are busy. One thing that I got fascinated by this place, Jose the barista is always so friendly and pleasant to talk with, he always remembers my name & coffee even after 8 months of lockdowns. Visiting my favourite Darling harbour restaurant again has been the best of 2020!! Keep making great coffee and people happy!

The food and drinks were lovely - 4/5 stars there. I had the kangaroo which was very tender for that type of meat. The rest of my table had fish and chips and margherita pizza. The chips were hot and crunchy and the salad beautiful and fresh with a light dressing. The woodfired pizza was tasty. The fish batter was light and crisp and the fish not dry. The garlic bread slices were unfortunately slightly over cooked and too crunchy to be enjoyable. The wait staff were attentive but the wait service was not perfect. I am sad that they misheard my instructions to bring the garlic bread out as the entree. They brought the garlic bread with the pizza as an entree, which meant we were waiting on the rest of our orders. Our side plates were brought out after we'd already received our entree. The table water was not cold but slightly lukewarm - I believe the stainless steel jugs had come out of the washer recently. It is a shame as I have eaten here on more than 3 occasions in s row where the service was lacking. Before this they seemed to have better staff and the service felt high end. At least the food was good.

Go for the food... try the lobster pizza like I did (28A$) and you won’t be disappointed (see picture). As a costumer, I understand that Friday nights are so busy but the manager looks liked so stressful and it was very notorious to the costumers who visited the venue. We had ordered an entree so I would have expected the chef to atleast pull the kangaroo out of the fridge prior to cooking or have rested the meat before flashing it on the grill again and serving, either of those could have avoided a cold centre. Having been stuck in home for last couple of months it was good to go out in the city. This place had $15 parking where else can you find it. As soon as we arrived there was hand sanitizer on the door and we was greeted by friendly staffs and our table was sanitized before we sat down which was good.The restaurant has warm and cozy feeling with nice view of the harbour which is an understatement.We were lucky we got there at 6 because as soon as we got there the place started filling up. We ordered Lynchburg lemonade was the best JD cocktail I had was nice and smooth. We was starving so we started off with Mezze platter it didn't take long for food to arrive even though it was busy let me tell you it was devoured in couple of minutes. For the mains we ordered chicken and avo Orecchiette, suppresso wood fired pizza and crispy skin barramundi. Don't worry you vegetarian and vegans they have plenty of options for you too. When the food arrived presentations was on point but who cares about presentation the chicken avo orecchiette was creamy and who would have thought cooked avo would taste good. The pizzas crust was nice and crispy and barramundi just melted in my mouth. I would totally recommend this place for casual date night and groups. And at the end we got free parking because of minimum spending thingy.

I went for dinner here last night, and it was astoundingly average. During dinner it was difficult to get any wait staff’s attention despite it not being busy in the slightest. At one point, I made eye contact with a waitress, she mouthed “are you ready to order” I nodded and she winked and walked away... We ordered the “sharing” cocktails ($22 each, compared to $14 for a single) and when the first arrived we thought they had made a mistake and brought us a single cocktail instead of a sharing size. The waitress confirmed it was to share. The previous waiter had told us the cocktail serves about two and a half glasses. Not true and very underwhelming. The food, however, was very tasty. I ordered the pumpkin risotto which was good.

Maybe they need a sign at the entry area : “please wait to be seated” to have customers understand the protocol, instead of walking into the space, taking a seat - and then being asked to be moved to an adjacent table.... all because the Marshall wants to assert his power. Great night and worth a visit- hope management make some changes to make this place one of Sydney’s best!

Restaurant just opened this week, so we were keen to sample the offering during our 9PM visit with friends. Service: Friendly, polite, prompt. Food was delivered relatively quickly, and feedback was sought on meal quality. Staff attention waned after food was provided. Drinks: Nice selection of cocktails, great presentation and decent prices. I enjoy wine, and was disappointed with the wine list. Food: Some minor improvements sought. We ordered a small plate (Acropolis), a salad (Cavalo nero) and 2 pizzas to share. Acropolis is stone baked beef mince with capsicum, parley, pitta bread and yoghurt. Delicious. My gripe is with the Cavolo Nero salad with quinoa, cucumber, heirloom tomatoes, roasted yams and more. The primary ingredient had been substituted with common curly kale, and its only week one Heirloom tomatoes appeared to be common cherry tomatoes. Small details make a difference. Red Lobster pizza. Lobster is more ground than chunk and added as a garnish. Adds lovely aroma and flavours. Delicious. Some found it slightly sweet. Overall I'm impressed as too many restaurants overdo the salt. Shredded Waygu: Good amount of toppings. Group of 4 agree this pizza was overly sweet. Seating: we sat outside on the lounge-style seats. Comfy but they're so low relative to the table. This made eating awkward for some. Value: overall the prices are good, especially considering location.

No one to greet us, one staff member was on her phone taking photos!, Wait people whose English is not great is really annoying if one has to repeat a request several times as they just dont get it!2 out of 3 times my order was incorrect. . Its a bit of a shambles really although a great venue.

Good location, staff very inexperienced…it seems they were all under age / students – even the pizza maker…it seems he could not even hold the spoon to spread the tomato sauce on top of the pizza base… We ordered a salad which was fine, you have to be really bad to go wrong making a salad, and a pizza which tasted like a bread with cheese…I swear the ones we buy from the supermarket are better! Shame because it has potential where it sits but there are way too many better places to eat around … first time, last time.
