Comments of Sri Lankan Street Food
R. M.
absolutely amazed at the food we ate tonight! I have not been able to find vegan kottu anywhere before so I was super happy to be able to eat it at dish. The food came quickly and was delicious. we ordered the potato curry and the vegan kottu. so sad that I do not live in Sydney otherwise this place would become a go to for me. definitely recommend making the trip to visit if you're looking for good vegan Sri Lankan food.
V. S.
Fantastic Food, even though the restaurant was struggling with staff shortages due to covid they took care of us really well no complains. As vegetarians we had no complains either. We enjoyed the hoppers, parathas, jackfruit biriyani and particularly the desserts.
S. R.
Mind blown. Vegan Curry and rice combo is simply one of the best tasting indian/sri Lankan combos ever! (Even compared to meat dishes). Sago dessert is also crazy good.
H. W.
The best lamprais I've had in Australia to date! The best part is, that it comes wrapped in the leaf, and not just a tiny leaf at the bottom as most places serve. To add the icing on top, they serve the Elephant House soft drinks too!!! Definitely going there again to try the rest of the dishes.
At first, when you look from outside, it looks like there isn't much seating, but they've got a room at the back as well. Recommend making a reservation to avoid disappointment.
Hit a like, if this review was helpful.

Excellent food and attentive service. Ambiance could be better but they make the most of what they have. Food tastes much better when dining in as compared with takeaway depending on what you order.

First time here and trying Sri Lankan food, as soon as I walked in I started salivating with the delicious smells coming out of the kitchen. The menu is vast with lots of different options. Fish pan rolls were tasty but came out a little cold, the chicken kottu roti was absolutely delicious and the egg hoppers and curry dips were also pretty good.
Desserts were a little bit of a let down, we tried ordering the cake but they had none left so got the watapalan on the waitresses recommendation. It was covered in a smoky syrup and we only took a couple bites as the syrup was overpowering.
The menu can get a little confusing though and the waitress didn’t offer any help when we were confused but rather walked away in the middle of our order.
Overall would love to come back to try some other things on the menu!

I went to this restaurant based on the reviews and for me a combination of things let it down. Taking of the order was slow, the time for the entree to come out was ages and the whitebait was oily. The other two dishes came out spasmodically and it did not appear to that busy. While the dishes were ok but that is about all.
A. W.
Would recommend their signature dish Short Rib Lamb Biriyani which was excellent. Also had Roti Telor with Okra and Beef Mustard curries which were both delicious as well.
H. L.
Went here with family on a weekend. Really delicious food, great quality. I ordered the tasting platter, which cost about $26/27. I guess that was a tad pricey, but it was a large portion of food...large enough to be shared between two people. We also tried the Devilled chicken (a spicy sweet/sour chicken) and Roti Paratha, and thought they were quite nice as well.
If you make a booking, I suggest calling up the restaurant. Somehow, we were able to make a booking at 11am, even though the restaurant only opened at 12pm. But that was fine, we had coffee next door while waiting.
I would highly recommend this place to other people, especially those who haven't had much experience with South Indian/Sri Lankan cuisine. It's totally different from the typical North Indian style food you see in Sydney. In my opinion, it's much better. I definitely want to come back and try the other dishes.

Great restaurant in Glebe! The food here is worth a try, delicious curries and dishes. We had a little of everything. They were really accommodating with an onion intolerance, which we thought would be tricky, but there was plenty to eat! Mid range prices, but the dishes are hearty and filling. Parking in the evening is free on the surrounding streets. Service was attentive, it wasn't too flashy of a venue. Nice for a low-key evening out or quiet celebration.
T. K.
Very tasty, spicy food. However my plain hoppers were over priced. I was dismayed at the small amount of food you got for $20.
N. g.
Fresh and tasty Sri Lanka food. I love the barramundi. The egg hopper is fun, new experience but don't like beef curry that much.
D. V.
Not the first time I've been there, and not the last one for sure. Really great food. Some problems with my booking: I booked few days before online but when I got there I have been told there was none, so better double check next time.
J. Z.
Different and delicious. Went for dinner and they have just expanded to next door as well, opening up additional seating. Will definitely be back to try everything else on the menu.
b. m.
Food was amazing! The venue was cute! Only downfall is customer service. They need to be more accomodating to customers who have questions about the menu. They also need to remember when you ask for a drink or takeaway boxes to deliver.
Edited - air ventilation and door need to get fixed asap! Regardless of how good the food is, if you're coughing between meals, it's ruins the whole experience.
j.
Beautiful Service, especially from kylie! Buttrey, delish, squidy! Eat this sqish up!

Best Srilankan Food in Sydney I would say...
Being Srilankan we don’t need a long drive out of the city anymore to have perfect srilankan food. Food is absolutely spectacular. Koththu, hoppers were upto the standard of my Srilankan taste buds yet fish curry (kiri malu hodi) was my favourite flavours to the perfection. They have nailed the favourite Srilankan dessert watalappan too. I love the ambience in the restaurant, vintage look with gorgeous interior n furniture. Staff is very attentive n friendly and chef Milinda was humble enough to drop by to have a quick chat. It was nice to see many non-srilankans enjoying the food. Wish you all the best!
J. Z.
Different and delicious. Went for dinner and they have just expanded to next door as well, opening up additional seating. Will definitely be back to try everything else on the menu.

Fresh and tasty Sri Lanka food. I love the barramundi. The egg hopper is fun, new experience but don't like beef curry that much.
E. B.
Different but absolutely delicious
W. B.
Great food and service.
B. A.
Tasty Sri Lankan food. The staff are very helpful. Does get busy sometimes so better to book a table.
P. V.
Veg, vegan and typical srilankan options..good quality + warm hostess ...been there to brunch...ordered veg kothu, egg hoppers, string hoppers, a coconut water mint punch, srilankan faluda, chick pea gravy...loved it..
O. D. B.
Fantastic food ... excellent people, beautiful place.... I loved every single piece of the delicate food they prepare ... I will be come back soon ✔️👍for sure ..
A.
Awesome and quite authentic Sri Lankan food. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. The menu is full of scrumptious dishes that are even tastier than we envisaged. Sri Lankan Street Food is absolutely Highly Recommended.
C. W.
The food was amazing! 100% value for money, only problem was the service! a long time to order, a long time to get water, food was very delayed and even clearing the plates was slow. If you are not hungry and happy to wait then this is perfect!
S. M.
So happy Dish sent us an email to say they are open for takeaway during this covid lockdown. A quick masked drive by to pick up. Too easy. So delicious. We did the lamb biryani and chicken curry. Lockdown is so much better with a curry!!!!
R. G.
The egg hoppers and the fish curry was a true testimony to the Sri Lankan cuisine.Must vist and taste the delicacies served by Uber talented chef.
j.
Beautiful Service, especially from kylie! Buttrey, delish, squidy! Eat this sqish up!
V. S.
Food is always really tasteful here. The taste reminds you of Sri Lanka. Take away menu is cheaper compare to the dine-in menu. So you can save some money by opting for the takeaway option.
V. J.
We live in Glebe and this has been our go-to for some time, we are relocating to NZ so I need to share my appreciation. This place is a treasure. Hosts are excellent, prices are so affordable, food is delightful and this place is BYO! I organised a surprise birthday party here for my partner a few years ago and we got a room to ourselves no worries & excellent service. Every time I order a takeaway it takes less than 15 minutes to prepare. At this point the Kothu Roti is a damn addiction, I also find myself craving the string hoppers my goodness I will miss this place!
A. G.
Great food!! Best Sri Lankan dishes.
B. L.
Great and attentive service. Food was on point. Lampraise has spice very nice! Goat on the bone nice and tender. Sweet desserts. Reasonably priced for the area. Byo alcohol accepted
T. B.
The Good: the food is delicious.
The Bad: the staff really needs to be trained. The majority of them do not have a clue how to host, take orders, or serve. I feel horrible saying that, but anyone should know before coming here. This even applies when ordering take away. If you don't hound them you'll be told 2 minutes another 20 times before getting your order.
Don't bother making a booking over the phone. You will be calling their location in Toongabbie which passes on your information to the Glebe location. I hope they get an online booking system.
I hope their service changes because without a doubt, this place would be booked out every night for the amazing food.
C. M.
Brilliant food, exactly like it is in Sri Lanka. Service was great, all the staff are very friendly. Would strongly recommend the Kottu and the Okra curry.
M.
Wonderful! Simply wonderful!
I would highly recommend this place as an authentic Sri Lankan restaurant. The food was incredible. And make me feel like Sri Lanka! The place so welcoming and the ambiance was charming. I would have given another star if I had one! Keep up guys. Roadside parking available, not always busy.
S. P.
All the food was good. The kottu roti was the highlight, I wanted more and not to share that one! Dosa was very good as were chicken and goat curries. The fish was a bit tough in the fish curry think they should have used a softer type of fish.
s. k.
This restaurant is casual dining, with authentic Sri Lankan cuisine & with good service. You need to book as it has become very popular. The price is fair & not too expensive. The Hoppers are a favorite. Try the Goat Curry & the Rottis. It is certainly worth a visit.
E. S.
Food is good and portion sizes are very reasonable. However, it has always been very challenging to place an order through their partnered delivery apps and more often than not I am unable to get through to the restaurant on the phone.
At the point of writing this review, I’m still waiting to know whether I will receive my food.
I sincerely hope you can keep up the administrative services to customers as much as the dining experience.
Thank you.
T. L.
Ignore any bad reviews for this place. It's great. It gets busy so either book in advance or expect a bit of a wait on the busy nights. The food is really good. We had a wide variety of dishes and it was all excellent. All the curry's were amazing, great depth of flavour and the perfect amount of spice. The Dalh especially was absolutely perfect. It's BYO so bring some good company, some good wine or beer and you'll be set. A really great food experience.
M. S. K.
Loved the ambience, Amazing mouthwatering dishes 👌
m. d.
Great customer service and food i would recommend it.
s.
So good!
I tried the hopper, beef curry and chicken dosa. The sambar (curry) that the dosa came with was so good.
The food wasn't spicy but was packed with flavour.
M. C.
Best experience ever, was my first time trying Sri Lankan food with Sri Lankan friends and they said it was authentic street food. I loved everything I tried!
O. D. B.

Went to Sri Lankan Street Food Friday evening. I called Friday afternoon to make a booking fortunately they were able to accomodate us as an early booking as they were fully booked from 7.30 onwards. It was great that they were so accomodating. Decor is nice however the venue is a little squish in at times, when people were coming into restaurant we’d often have to move slightly as we were at a table close to the front of the entrance. We had complimentary papadums to start and then had the fish cutlets then egg hoppers with the dal, chicken curry and the pawn curry on the side. It was all very tasty, delicious & would recommend ordering, especially the fish cutlets! My boyfriend is Sri Lankan so we are both quite critical when it comes to Sri Lankan cuisine however we can’t complain it was full flavoured and amazing. Service was great as well. Best of all this place is BYO only! There is a bottle shop a couple of doors away which is very convenient so fear not if you have forgotten your bottle of wine. I would recommend booking a couple of days in advance as this restaurant is busy and quite small so it gets booked up quite quickly.
A. S.
Was recommended this restaurant from a work colleague. Unfortunately we reserved a table on Saturday so the place was quite crowded. There was a slight wait for the food to arrive but it was worth the wait as the food was simply amazing. I have never eaten such rich and vibrant flavours. The staff were so friendly, constantly checking up with us as whether we received or waiting on any other dishes. Definitely coming again, though hopefully when it's not too crowded.
K. S.
The new menu is excellent, makes it much easier to try different things. I am
Sri Lankan and took 9 of my friends who’d never tried SL food before. The staff were really accommodating and service was good. The food was great
S. N.
The hoppers didn't taste very good but the other food on the menu tasted great. (Posted 2years ago, edited today)
c. p.
Food was tasty but some of the items are overpriced. A plain hopper was priced at AUD 6. Coming from Middle East for a holiday i was little surprised. Our kottu didn’t come until we finish the other food. So we had to request the waitress to cancel it, but there wasn’t any apology from them for not providing Kottu on time. Yet promoted as a SriLankan restaurant waitress hardly understand the menu( not SriLankans)
G. G.
Awesome place, great food, sublime service - have been taking my friends who really want to try Sri Lankan food. Great reviews from them as well!
M. C.
The curry club ventured deep into the inner west of Sydney to a quaint little Sri Lankan curry house on the never ending Glebe point road. The club immediately made its presence felt by erecting a shrine to the curry father, with candles flickering softly beneath his steadfast gaze.
Curry points were immediately scored from the private dining experience, that made one feel almost as if he was Kerry Packer on his yacht... The service was immediate, and the kottu roti had the boys’ spice senses tingling, and DMAC’s forehead sweating. A good omen for things to come. The rest of the dishes came out, each presenting a new element of flavour than that which preceded it: spicy rich curries, crispy crunchy hoppers, fluffy flavoursome biryani. This all round experience was met by the highest group rating yet: the fabled 4.38.
All in all, a glorious and successful outing. Welcome to our newest member Haydyn, who shall henceforth be known as“Masala Dosa”.
A. H.
Friendly service, but a little cramped, and on the night we visited everything seemed to taste of the same overpowering sauce. Roti was good though.
E. I.
The real Sri Lankan food. Hoppers are the best!
Small restaurant with authentic interior.
Have to reserve the table.
y. K.
Their dosas were incredible - super fresh, filling and not greasy! Really lovely people and would absolutely recommend for a nourishing dinner.
S. K.
Food was pretty good, service, not so great.
We ordered dessert and the waitress asked "anything else?" my friend and I waited for over 20 minutes with nothing on our table - we asked for the bill and the waitress never put our order in.
The waitress wasn't very nice either, which was disappointing because my friend and I have been keen to come here for awhile.
J. P.
10 out of 10. Fairly priced and high quality food.
R. T.
Great place for SL food not far from the city. Kottu roti, string hoppers, negombo prawns and devilled chicken are my favourite. Would recommend for people who love Sri Lankan food! its byo as well
S. P.
Fantastic little cosy sri lankan restaurant at Glebe on Glebe Point Road. Just simply the service was excellent with all staff being super friendly. Food was amazing and a little light on spicy side the way i like it packed with flavour. Not greasy at all. They are a BYO so the bottle shop is just next door which i suggest you need to compliment with the good food these guys do. Do yourself a favour go try them. Used to be a thai place and these guys have done a great job. Definitely a welcome addition to Glebe's culinary scene.
E. M.
Excellent food. However if you can, avoid getting a table at the back of the restaurant - no windows and one small fan there so it's gets hot very quick. Highly recommend the egg hoppers and lamb dosa.
E. A.
Tasty authentic but quantity is very small for the genoricity SriLankan hospitality is known for.service was good and love the Ambiance.
a. m.
Our first time here. Loved the vibe and service. Staff were friendly and service was quick. We went on a Tuesday so it wasn't crowded. Food options were just right. Flavours were spot on. Will definitely be going back for more
j. n. (.
Great place to spend with friends. Food was good and flavorsome. Loved the dosa and the lamb curry. Raita was bit runny and the tomato chutney slightly too acidic. Otherwise good.
S. S.
Beautiful place. Very tasty Srilankan Food
Recommended to anyone
relaxed environment
Little loud when making Kotthu Roti😀
Tasty food and reasonable price.
Bit slow service in. busy Time
We enjoyed and will surely will
come back

Great food and very prompt and friendly service
M. O.
Amazing food, very authentic. Had a number of items, but the platter in the menu was excellent value financially, and the prawn curry was very tasty. Highly recommended.
E. B.
Different but absolutely delicious
C. S.
Amazing food. I had to order take away as it was completely booked. The lamb hopper plate was delish
A. R.
Only got take out so can't comment on the waiting service. The food however was great and great value for money too. Would definitely recommend it!
J. Z.
Delicious Sri Lankan street food; great service. Go for the Hoppers and the Dosa.
BYO, bottle shop right next door.
J. B.
Good food, no doubt. The variety, freshness and quality were excellent. Good vegan options. I'm not too sure that the label 'street food' is appropriate as the food is closer to gourmet in style and the prices are high enough to buy a street stall in Colombo.
V. O.
The food quality was great . Highly recommend the vegetarian kothu, best had with Raita. Sambal was very tasty as well. Only disappointment was that they didn't have string hoppers.
P. R.
Good dishes at reasonable prices. The service will improve over time, overall i recommend the place.
C. C.
I had a tandoori chicken wrap and i liked it. The price is really good there too.
R. J.
Great pan hoppers, pan rolls and rotis. Because the food is so filling, we didn't try any of the meat curries. Will come back again.
B. R.
I would highly recommend DISH for the following reasons:
1. The cuisines are authentic Sri Lankan
2. There are a wide range of options which are both delicious and affordable
3. The service is professional and friendly
4. The atmosphere is homely and tasteful
DISH is by far one of the best Sri Lankan restaurants I have dined at, and would encourage anyone to experience the five star food and service.
J. W.
Very tasty menu, what I found that most food on the menu was perfectly balanced with spices. I did not find anything over bearing just full of flavour.
J. K.
Super friendly staff and quick and delicious food! Booked ahead of time and beat the Saturday crowd. Really enjoyed the hoppers & sambol, kottu roti, faluda and watalapan. Highly recommended.
K. C.
Yum! Really tasty food, lovely people, front room was a bit rough when frying chili, but lovely, got a bit cold later on.
J. O.
The food is amazing! A must try! ❤
N.
Good food and friendly service. The only problem is the chef keeps ringing his bell which makes for an uncomfortable atmosphere. Looks like he is oretty aggressive with the waitstaff
D.
Excellent Sri Lankan food, either takeaway or dining in. The diversity of options make this a highly recommended dining option.
S.
We went there on a Saturday noon. The curry and rice was cold and the vibe wasn’t inviting. The food is overpriced for what we got. Staff are polite and nice.
A. S.
This place has some great Sri Lankan style food. I went for the first time this week after hearing the neighbours say how great it was.
The biggest let down was the wait time for food to come out to the table. It took almost an hour for the food to come out. I could see that the small kitchen was inundated with orders but they were working very quickly.
Note: If you are ordering take away, expect to wait for 30+ minutes for your food.
R. D. S.
The best food this side of Toongabbie, high quality and great presentation, worth spending your hard earned
C. L.
I really shouldn’t do this because we will never get a seat at a table again. Absolutely fab, food and staff. The devilled prawns are the new love of my food life.
H. K.
Tasty and unique Sri Lankan food with fast effecient service.
R. W.
Food is authentic and tasty. Menu prices are also attractive. Staff are courteous enough. Street parking only. Easy access to disabled not available.
L. J.
Great food.i love the dhal
S. M.
Amazing food and super cheap! And BYO 👍🏽Only down side is that it's hard to get a table & there's no AC so can be a pretty uncomfortable on a hot day - But I guess you are getting a more authentic Sri Lankan experience lol!
A. B.
Food here is incredible, so fresh, so hearty, so delicious. We visit here and dine in everytime. The staff are also so accommodating.
J. I.
Good food and welcome addition to Glebe...But guys..for heavens sake clean your front plate glass windows ...the grease smears and hand marks make the place look grubby and really uninviting. You aint in a Bangladeshi alleyway.
j. s.
Me along with my family went there on friday. The food was great and the environment was good. It's a bit congested, seems like they were tying to fit everyone no matter what. Very happy with the customer service. ALL were very decent and helpful except for that one weitress who dosen't knows how to speak in english and i doubt if she understands some. When she brought food she just keeps that in the table and we had to ask what that is and haha she dosen't knows what it is either , I literally had to ask her to bring the bill for 6 time cuz she dosn't understand ENGLISH. Thank god other lady came and handled the situation. Other than this everything is good. Keep it up.
T. S.
One meal was amazing and my sisters meal was old rice, bland Daal and under cooked chickpeas curry. Just depends on your luck with this venue. I won’t go back. I prefer the restaurants in Harris Park, more authentic and better cooked with no old food being served
A. D. S.
We went on a Saturday. The food was tasty but the wait time was too long. They need to be organised.
N. 1.
Went to the restaurant for the first time with family and friends. We got there and it was quite busy inside. We ordered our meals, which unfortunately took longer than expected. After a few fumbles with our order the food came out and apart from the absolute lack of chilli in all the food the taste was great. The prices are quite expensive and some portion sizes are small. Staff service were quite rude but may have felt a little under pressure as throughout the night people kept piling in. Also, when we asked for chilli they still did not provide any.
All in all I think I’m being a little generous with my 4/5 however I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt considering they’re new and may not have been prepared for the influx of business. A fair review 3/5.
Hoping for more chilli, quicker service, fair servings and happier staff in the future.
O. B.
Stop reading this review and book a table now. Best Sri Lankan food in Sydney :)
W. B.
Great food and service.
P. D.
Foods are amazing, however less spicy than you find it in Sri Lanka... ;) that make sense anyway!
A. C.
Very flavorful.. if you are in Glebe this is a must try. Was very pleased with the portion size and price. Will be back for sure!
S. D.
Love love loved the food. Hoppers, string Hoppers , watallapam are must trys! Book before you go as it's always full.
D. W.
Nothing better than great Sri Lankan food - and I'm really glad to have found Dish. You can tell this place is legit from the minute you walk in the door. Busy open kitchen, a team of chefs working away making hoppers... Love it.
I had the kotthu roti this time, was delicious. Definitely going back to try everything else here. 👌
N. M.
We had booked for dinner on a Wednesday night. Despite the heat (we were seated at the entrance end of the restaraunt and it was pretty warm) the menu looked promising. We ordered some Sri lankan staples such as hoppers, roti, lamprais, dhal and a lamb curry. The food took quite a while to get out. When it did arrive the food was underwhelming with hoppers the only highlight. The lamb curry was chewy and the quality of the meat was not great. The service staff are polite but lack any warmth to connect with customers. Had high hopes but unfortunately this restaraunt has a lot to improve on.
V. A.
Beautiful Aromatic high quality food. Great staff and service.
A. N.
Service is pretty slow, food is ok and space is a bit uncomfortable.
I think if they organised service and had more adecuate seating space it would be an overall better experience.
C.
Authentic Srilankan food! Really suprised me with how fresh and good it tasted. Will go back again for the food, but it's a bit pricey.
N. R.
Slightly pricey but good food for sure. Their wattalappam is superb!
J. K.
I swear to god this is the best meal I’ve had in years. Everyone should come here at least once.
S. L.
Nice place. We are with our ten month old here. Friendly staff. Good kottu roti
C. W.
Great food, right level of heat for Sri Lankan dishes (i.e. Not holding back for an Aussie market) and chilled atmosphere. Only thing lacking is a mutton roll, a staple of my friends family and a lot of Sri Lankan restaurants in London. Otherwise a great value and delicious meal. The roti were also excellent!
A. (. B.
Good place for Sri Lankan fare.
Sitting arrangement is quite tight (squishy) & tge doors don't lock.
J. M.
This is one of the tastiest restaurants I've ever eaten at. Great service. Friendly staff. And so so yum.
R. S.
Okayish food.
This is "not" just another Indian restaurant selling so-called Sri Lankan food. Not that authentic either.
Try beef kottu.
M. R.
Dish Glebe is a new gem. Brilliantly cooked food. Full of flavour and balanced just right. Pleasant service is a little unsure but suspect it is a culture thing. Had hoppers with goat, followed by okra and black pepper pork. Only downside is the menu is not complete so you need to ask about the dishes that aren't on the menu.
P. M.
Lovely authentic Sri Lankan food. Suits Sydneysiders of all walks of life.
s. s.
Nice food and friendly staff
A. D.
Very good hoppers, portions small by Lankan standards
A. B.
As a Sri Lankan, I really appreciated the authentic Sri Lankan food Experience. The Egg hoppers and string hoppers were amazing. Loved the food. They have a Brilliant Chef. Thanks for the delicious meal!
R. T.
Good place for east asian foods. Love their murthabak.
C. A.
Authentic Sri Lankan flavour. Exceptional service. Highly recommend.
M. W.
So slow to produce it...but food is good..Very expensive compared to other Sri Lankan food courts. There are few places where the food is way cheaper than this.
E. M.
Love this place, just wish less people did so you could get a walk in seat!
X.
Cosy and food was OK, but please hang some sound absorbing stuff on the walls because we were almost deaf by the end of dinner.
c. h.
Super tasty, great price, friendly service. Really really delicious Sri lankan fare.
A. Q.
Authentic, Tasty, Delicious.... believe the HYPE!
Tip: Don’t de deceived by the size of the dishes, you will be very full. 🙂🙂🙂
R.
Really nice food, friendly staff, byo as well. The rotis were perhaps not as flaky/fluffy as those I've had in Malaysia & Singapore but still very good & the dhal & okra excellent. We also had the goat curry which was perfectly spiced & cooked. Very close to 5 star but just the roti & teabag jasmine tea instead of leaves held it back. Will definitely come back as it's a great little place & decent value for the inner west.
H. T.
This was a find! It's great to have an authentic hopper experience in Sydney - and the curries are great!
R. W.
Great food and great service! Will come again!
S. A.
Very good! Recommend the lunch special platter to try many items.
Y. S.
Bit on the expense side. Food is kind of white washed the Currys need more heat and spice. The entrees are nice
F.
My family were relishing in the hoppers. Such delicious flavours and the lamprais were stunning too.
T. A.
Will return and return and return
Great service, wonderful dishes.and premium basmati rice served. Mark of a restaurant that cares

Finally some good Sri Lankan food for the city folks. Manjula known in the west, however he has dished up his menu to suit the style of fine dining. Hint of modernization of Sri lankan dishes. My Favourites - Fish Pan Rolls, Classic Sri Lankan Hopper Pack & Short Rib Lamb Biryani to die for!!

This is a really good take on Sri Lankan Cuisine and really caters to those are vegetarian.
Atmosphere and environment is spot on 10/10 can feel crowded but that's part of the Sri Lankan charm where giving food should be cozy and home like.
Here you will be able to select anything and not be dissapointed, for starters get the Vegetarian Cutlets or Polloss cutlets, the fish cutlets are just as good! More so, Lankan places that serve something called Hot Butter Cuttlefish, Calamari or Squid is something to really melt them taste buds. Vegetarian Biryani and Chicken Lamprais is definitely something to munch for mains, but there was so much food we ordered off the menu, literally every thing was great.
Desert, oh man, Milk Hopper (Kiri Aappa) is a delicacy that just shows how different Lankan cuisine incorporates sweetness into food. There is also a paper cone sweet dosa like dish, served with ice cream. That is also something that won't dissapoint.
Take your first date here and wow him/her. A vegetarian and Sri Lankans haven for food.
The owner is also a really kind and friendly person, who does make some amazing recommendations!

(Translated) One of the few Sri Lankan restaurants in Sydney. I have been to Sri Lanka, but I think the food here is very authentic and authentic. I thought it was a bit thick, but I thought the quality of the food was very high. Newtown's Kammadhenu and others are Sri Lankan restaurants that also serve Indian food, but this is a Sri Lankan specialty. Some desserts have been arranged, so this is also delicious and recommended. It's a small shop, but it's bright and comfortable. I would like to make it 5 stars, but since the price is quite bullish, it is 4 stars. Since it's street food, it's ideal if it's a little easier, even when considering the cost of the place and the atmosphere stand. Hoppers and kotu are not the same as the tastes of the common people in the area. The service is late, so I think it's best to go leisurely.
