Comments of Sushi Rio
C.
Came across this corner sushi place when shopping with missus.
First impression on the entrance was not really good as it seems unorganised. They seems to be understaff as we waited quite a while before someone noticed us and show us the area to sit.
The menu is really disaster as it is wet, smelly, torn and sticky. My fingers actually smells of rotten soy sauce after touching it.
We ordered a few sushi plates. They ran out of tuna when we ordered the Kaisen Don. So I changed to the Salmon Don which looks like a bigger size of a salmon nigiri.
The soft shell crab is one tiny piece where it don’t even looks like a crab at all. Am not sure which part they took out.
We only get like a snack of sushi only when they ran out most of the items and basically a lot of items are unavailable too.
Food is alright but there are other places which serves better than here.
They really should change a new menus since there are a lot of item unavailable.

This is a great place to eat fresh sushi for a very reasonable price of $3.50 per plate. It has a great variety but not as much as the parent store on the intersection of Sussex and Liverpool. But the shop is much newer and the place looks clean.
My only issue is that I noticed inconsistent serving sizes where some nirigis have very small pieces of fish on top.

Very good sushi in general, yes most of the sushi on the train have too much mayo and cheese, but I found it better to order everything directly from the menu.

Love conveyer belt sushi and I must say this place is great! Pleanty of seating and great service is provided. You are greated the moment you enter and again when you leave. There is a good range of sushi (and always stuff on the train) here and depending on when you come there's $3.00 sushi!

Excellent sushi! Chef preparing our made to order items was wonderful! Excellent value for money also. Could not have had a better night.
A. C.
Always such fresh dishes at inexpensive prices!

We walked pass this place while we go out shopping all the time and always there is a queue. That says something is right about this place and we are right. Staff is very helpful and friendly. We asked for a table for 6 pp at the sushi train, almost impossible to sit together right? With Japanese hospitality , they managed that, we all sat together. Sushi was very delicious at a reasonable price. It is great to hop in there for a quick snack while shopping around there.

My favourite go to Sushi place in the city. Clean, relaxed atmosphere with helpful staff. Great value for money, the seafood is fresh. I typically order alacarte, never know how long the food has been on the belt. I agree a tad too much mayo comments from other reviews, however I think that represents more tailored flavour for Aussie tastes.

This place never disappoints. Awesome sushi at super affordable prices. Staff is quick and efficient. The head chef/owner is so kind and Genuinely cares about his customers!
E. R.
The location is convenient though it's not the easiest to find. The sushi tasted good and the decor was nice. The only negatives on this visit are the late arrival of my rather small Udon bowl and the lack of a liquor licence.
D. I.
Good sushi but reflective in the $3.50 per place price. Helpful service but limited menu as there a bunch of items that were out of stock as well you can no longer order.
D. G.
Great food fast service with Awesome selection..
J. N.
Definitely not the best sushi train in Sydney! Don't be fooled. Portions were very small. Hand rolls could be better assembled together and the menu selection was quite limited, not very exciting. I'm surprised with the high reviews for this place as Makoto or Hotaru nearby has better quality sushi, extensive menu and overall better value. The seating is also not as cramped!
Y. H.
Too many items with cream cheese and mayo, they need to diversify their menu more. They didn't really add to the sushi train often so it was the same stuff cycling through. Service was pretty minimal.
H. T.
Best sushi train in Sydney - quality, freshness, variety & fantastic staff. True Japanese hospitality. Evenings after 4pm (Mon-Sun) is an extra bonus as all sushi train plates go for $3. A regular and very happy to recommend to anyone.
C. C.
$3 per dish after 6pm, great value for money
R. Y.
My favorite Sushi train place in Sydney! Freshly made and served by native Japanese cook and staff. The food is just awesome and the price is very reasonable. Conveniently located in Westfield Sydney City shopping mall, if you're in town and feel like to go for some Japanese O-Sushi this is definitely a place to consider! Highly recommended!
K. J.
Good price and good taste. Chefs are always smiling and kind.
But staffs need to use a pen and paper when they take an order, please do not try to just remember, order is often missing.
G. L.
Always love this place. Sushi is fresh and tasty. It does get a queue at lunchtime though, but it usually moves pretty fast and it's worth the wait.
M. P.
Amazing. Good staff, great quality sushi train. Definitely coming back. $3.50 all sushi and $3 after 4pm everyday. We had an assortment of sushi and hand rolls. It's located right after the footbridge from Myer in the Westfield mall.

Oh my!! I cannot believe sushi is only $3 after 4pm. It is SO DELICIOUS. I love sushi!! This is my new favourite place to eat. Their mini udon is MOUTH WATERING, and I can highly recommend their grilled scallops, edamame (piping hot mmm), soft shell crab tofu and avocado maki. Their hot green tea was delicioua. Only $55 for 2 adults who ate like kings... lovely Japanese staff and divine food with great decor and a lively atmosphere. see you soon

This is my daughters favourite place for sushi. I believe it’s for nostalgic reasons but sushi and ambiance is nice. Plus dishes are reasonably priced at $3.
G. H.
Great service. Fresh sushi and a wide variety of sushi to choose from, all selected sushi for a price of $3.50 (even scallop and beef tataki nigiri was on there for that price).
Y. S. T. (.
Excellent fresh sushi at a reasonable price. All sushi was fresh and there was a wide range to choose from. Table service was what one would expect at a sushi bar.
N. I.
The food is amazing, the chef is friendly. But the staff really need to learn english. Most of the time they forget what we ordered or they will bring a wrong one. Please take your job more serious.
B. K.
Always lovely customer service. Always the best tasting and fresh sushi and for a really good price. Really recommend.
L. P.
$3.50 per sushi plate AND it's absolutely delicious! Yes, please. Nowhere near as expensive as other sushi trains (phew)
Χ. Τ.
Great sushi, friendly staff, great prices. Definitely come back in future.
A. V.
Great sushi and nigiri selection - authentic japanese
V. D.
This Sushi Rio is a lot cheaper than the Sushi Rio on Sussex Street, the service here is a lot better, the atmosphere and interiors is very nice, i really love the relaxing resort style music they play here, i would recommend this Sushi Rio over the other one, it's also a very quiet place and it is usually not very crowded.

Great tasting sushi, excellent prices. Nice and fresh and quick.

$3 sushi after 4pm, good deal for sushis. Better ambience compared to the branch in Sussex street.

The best casual sushi in Sydney child friendly but do need to get Hugh chairs for babies.

I've only been to the one on Sussex St, and the ambience is okay, service is ok but the food is great and cheap! Love it!
G. J.
Good food.. plates are a little small but it didn't bother me too much
H. G.
Always great sushi. Great for a quick bite while shopping
A. G.
Hegiene should be better here. Spotted a staff member who picked up the mobile phone while wearing gloves and didn't change the gloves after continuing making rolls
J. S.
